An Orlando rapper who goes by the stage name 9lokkNine, formerly GlokkNine, was arrested Friday night on attempted murder charges, records show.
Jacquavius Smith, 20, is accused of attempted murder with a firearm, shooting into an occupied structure and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the Orange County Jail. Details about the arrest were not immediately available.
Recent posts on Smith’s Instagram account show him posing with multiple different firearms and firearm replicas, with a June 26 photo set showing Smith and friends pointing guns at the camera.
Smith is known for his 2018 hit ”10 percent,” which has 30 million views on YouTube. He featured on fellow Florida rapper YNW Melly’s track “223′s,” which peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last October.
Orange County records show Smith was arrested in May for possessing ammunition as a convicted felon and oxycodone possession.
Smith was booked into the Orange County Jail.
