Tupac Shakur Sex Tape Sold To Private Collector

12349131285?profile=original

The Tupac Shakur sex tape is off the market for good.

According to TMZ the tape was sold to a private collector and will most likely never be seen by the general public.

Back in October we reported that a bidding war had erupted between various online porn sites wanting to be the first to broadcast the explicit material. There was even a $1 million dollar bid for the unreleased song playing in the background of the tape.

In the end, the owner of the tape decided against selling it to any of the corporate bidders, calling them "parasites."

No information was given on how much the tape sold for, but it should come as a relief to millions of 2Pac fans that the late rapper's legacy won't be exploited by people who could care less about his contributions to the hip hop culture.

Poet Maya Angelou is upset with one of her biggest supporters.

Angelou wrote and recited a poem for a new song by Common titled "Dreamer" off of his upcoming album The Dreamer/The Believer. The problem between the two stems from the Chicago MC's frequent use of the n-word throughout the song.

The Pulitzer Prize-nominated poet detests the word, which she calls “vulgar and dangerous” to the black community.

I had no idea that Common was using the piece we had done together on [a track] in which he also used the ‘N’ word numerous times,” Angelou told the New York Post. “I’m surprised and disappointed. I don’t know why he chose to do that. I had never heard him use that [word] before. I admired him so because he wasn’t singing the line of least resistance.”

Common said he thought Angelou knew and understood that he uses the word in his music, but admits he didn't specifically tell her he would be using it in the song they collaborated on.

I told her what ‘The Dreamer’ was about and what I wanted to get across to people,” he told the Post. “I wanted young people to hear this and feel like they could really accomplish their dreams.

There was obviously a huge miscommunication between the two. Hopefully they can work out their differences. "Dreamer" is one of the stand out tracks on the album which drops December 20.

2011 will be remembered as the year some rappers and their fans got interesting artwork tattooed on their faces. From Gucci Mane's ice cream tat, to the girl who decided having Drake's name permanently inked across her forehead, we've seen it all or at least we thought we had.

With only a couple of weeks left in the year, a rapper named Mingo Baby added his name to the list by getting "Free Lil Boosie" tattooed on his face.

Mingo explains why he did it in the video below.

As we previously reported, rapper Slim Dunkin, an associate of Waka Flocka Flame was killed yesterday. According to the Associated Press, Slim was shot by an unknown individual after getting into an argument at a video shoot.

Atlanta police say the rapper Slim Dunkin was gunned down Friday evening in a city music studio as he was preparing to record a video.

Police Maj. Keith Meadows said the rapper, whose real name is Mario Hamilton, was fatally shot in the chest after getting into an argument with another individual.

He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Meadows told The Associated Press late Friday that police have not been able to identify the shooter. He said investigators have been interviewing those who were inside the studio. He said as many as 20 people were inside the small office-type building at the time of the shooting, which took place around 5:30 p.m., but they were in different places.

Police have not recovered the handgun that was used. Investigators remained at the scene late Friday evening.

"Right now we're just trying to....identify who may have seen what, really just trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together," Meadows said. "It seems everybody witnessed something very different. We're just trying to go back and make sense of everything."

Slim Dunkin had appeared on a number of songs with the rapper Waka Flocka Flame. The website Mtv.com reported that the Brick Squad Monopoly rapper was on a solo track and had recently released a 20-track mix tape that featured Gucci Mane, Roscoe Dash and Pastor Troy.

"It appears the victim was scheduled to do a photo shoot," Meadows said of Friday's events. "Before the video shoot took place, it appears the victim and suspect got involved in a verbal altercation. We don't know what that altercation was about."

"The suspect produced a weapon, discharged that handgun one time, striking the victim in the chest," Meadows said.

Meadows said the victim was in his early 20s and resided in the Atlanta area.

Many fans were posting messages late Friday night on a Facebook page for the rapper.

The website AllHipHop.com last February described Slim Dunkin, a Detroit native, as an up-and-coming talent with "a unique lyrical ability and style all his own."

In an interview with the website, he described himself as someone "trying to provide for his family by making something out of nothing just trying to beat the odds."

"I don't have amazing lyrical ability I just know how to speak on what I been through and where I came from," he said.

Asked what to expect from him in 2011, he responded: "Music, music, music!"

Kobe Bryant's beautiful wife, Vanessa Bryant, has filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" according to TMZ.

"She's been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she's finally had enough," says a source. "This one is the straw that broke the camel's back."

Bryant saved his marriage in 2003 when he was accused of raping a Colorado hotel employee. That case was settled out of court when Bryant reached a financial settlement with the woman. Bryant promptly bought his wife a $4 million dollar ring in an effort to save his marriage. It worked that time, but apparently Vanessa has had enough.

The couple don't have a prenuptial agreement, meaning the the 29-year old Vanessa is about to get half of Bryant's large financial fortune.

Vanessa is being represented by Laura Wasser and attorney Samantha Klein. She is seeking joint custody of the couples two children, 8-year-old Natalia and 5-year-old Giana.

Vanessa is also seeking spousal support which Bryant has already agreed to pay.

According to the report, Bryant desperately wants to save his marriage, but at this point it's not looking good for the Los Angeles Laker.

Vanessa filed her divorce petition on December 1. Kobe signed his response on December 7.

The soon to be ex-couple released a joint statement saying they have privately resolved all issues.

Video After The Jump

Timbaland helped to guide the career of late singer/actress Aaliyah by producing some of her biggest hit records. He was also in love with her, although she didn't know it.

"When I first met Aaliyah—it time for the world to hear this, I'm gonna give a little secret—I was in love with her," he revealed. "I said, But I'm not…She just a baby, I'm old," Timbaland told Eonline. "I said to myself, 'I'm just gonna be her brother.' Oh man, I was fightin', I was fightin' a lot—a big war. But I loved Aaliyah."

That was just one of several revelations the super producer made during an upcoming episode of E!'s True Hollywood Story.

He's happily married now, but admits he's probably difficult to deal with at times.

"It's probably hard to be married to me," he says. "It's not easy. I'm a musical genius. I'm weird, I do crazy things, it's not like the average norm. But I'm a loving guy."

Timbo also said that he became suicidal in 2003 when his weight ballooned up to 400 pounds.

"I was almost 400 pounds," he said. "Who wants to be a 400-pound black man? I'm looking in the mirror, my breast is bigger than a girl breast. And I was saying, ‘That ain't cool.' So I got very depressed, like suicidal depressed."

For the rest of this interview, catch E!'s True Hollywood Story, Tuesday December 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Video After The Jump

I think it's safe to say Big Sean and Drake aren't going to answer Ludacris back for getting at them on his diss track "Bada Boom." However, Shawn Jay and Smoke of Field Mob are ready for battle.

A few weeks ago Shawn Jay released the diss track "P*ssy Boy" aimed at Luda, now his partner Smoke is speaking out against his former Disturbing Tha Peace boss.

In a just released interview, Smoke calls Luda a b*tch for giving Field Mob a shady deal, not taking care of artists like Shawna and for letting Chingy's early success with the album Jackpot make him so jealous he made sure no other DTP artist would be put in a position to succeed on that level again.

Peep the interview below.

Video After The Jump

The family of Michael Taylor are still trying to come to grips with his senseless murder last week in New Orleans. As we previously reported, the 16-year old made headlines in January 2011 when his uncle, Lamoine Ward, videotaped himself whipping Taylor for putting gang related information on his Facebook wall. Ward then posted the video online where it went viral almost overnight.

In a new interview with New Orleans television station WDSU, the uncle says he did it out of love and fear for what could happen to his family.

"It was love and I wanted to really show that he's not a gang member. I was not only going on his [Facebook] walls, I was searching his friend's walls also," Lamoine said. "So, I was frightened about what could happen to my family. I was led by the right spirit when I did it, but now the enemy is twisting it in my head like I did something wrong. Maybe I draw some extra attention to him to make him feel like he need to prove to these people that he's not soft."

Asked if he had any regrets about posting the video, Lamoine told WDSU he only had one.

"I regret maybe not being a part of his life a little bit more after the video," he said.

After the video hit the net, Taylor was reportedly bullied and made fun of at school. His mother, Kimberly Ward, said her son was a good kid who may have simply been trying to fit in with the wrong crowd.

"I'm hurt," she said through tears. "I'm not angry but I'm hurt. My boy was my world. But at the same time I'm blessed that if my child's death can save another child's life and another mother [not] have to go through what I feel, then I feel alright."

She added that parent's shouldn't be afraid to check their children's Facebook pages and most of all, "Don't be a friend, be a parent."

Audio After The Jump

It may seem as if Mya has dropped off the face of the earth musically, but nothing could be further from the truth. The singer has been quite busy over the last several years putting out music exclusively in Japan, where her last three albums have been released through her own independent label, Planet 9. Now she feels the time is right to re-introduce herself and her new sound to American audiences.

That re-introduction will come in the form of a deluxe U.S. and Canada version of the album K.I.S.S. (Keep It Sexy and Simple), which will be released December 20.

"It's about being cool and drama-free. And everything I do reflects that," she told Billboard. "The people that I associate with, the circle that I keep is real simple and sometimes we think or we're trained to believe that you always have to have more, more, more to make ourselves feel happy or beautiful, but it's the other way around for me. Simplicity is sexy."

The deluxe version includes four additional songs that are not on the Japanese version, including the recently leaked "Somebody Come Get This B*tch," a track inspired by the gay club scene and "Earthquake" featuring Trina.

Mya told Billboard that you won't see any extensive promotion or music videos for the album. She plans on saving that for her next project which will have less of a J-Pop feel and more of the traditional R&B sound stateside fans are used to hearing from her.

"K.I.S.S. is just a boutique album that I'm offering fans under the radar. If they want it, it's accessible now," she says. "This is just more of an appetizer. I've already started on what people will be looking forward to. I'm still going to put out my mixtapes. I still may do projects in Japan, but my focal point and priority is to bring it back home."
