Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best boxer in the world and a father who provides for his kids. He recently purchased a Bentley golf cart for his son, Koraun's, 15th birthday. Koraun appreciates the gifts, but his opinion of his father is a negative one.
"He is a coward," the teen tells USA Today.
Koraun's anger stem's from beatings he witnessed his mother, Josie Harris, receive at the hands of his father.
According to Harris, she was physically assaulted by Mayweather six times. The worst attack happened on September 9, 2010, when Floyd found out Harris was dating NBA player C.J. Watson.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Josie Harris
Although they were separated at the time, Floyd flew into a rage and attacked the mother of his three children.
"I was sleeping on the couch and was awoken by him grabbing my hair," Harris recalls. "He had my phone is his hand. I have no idea how long he had my phone and was scrolling through my text messages. And the text message he saw from the gentleman I was dealing with at the time, it set him off."
Witness statements from Kouran and his brother detailed the beating.
Mayweather punched Harris in the back of the head, kicked her and stomped on her shoulder.
Kouran, who was 10 at the time, disobeyed his father by going to get help.
"(My dad) said to lock my door and stay in my room," Koraun said. "I sat there and thought about what I was going to do next. Just for like a minute."
The 10-year old initially told a woman who was staying in the guest house. She didn't believe him, so he then tried to run for help but was stopped by one of Floyd's friends.
"Then I went back into my room and locked the door and then ran back out my bathroom and then hopped over the gate and went to the main entrance gate. I just told (the guard) that my mom was getting hurt and to call the ambulance and the police."
Floyd was arrested for the assault. He accepted a plea deal and later pleaded guilty to a reduced battery domestic violence charge and no contest to two harassment charges. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Harris believes her son saved her from an an even more severe attack.
"I just thanked him because I didn't know how long it was going to continue to go on," she said. "And I just feel like if he wouldn't have gone to get the help that I may not even be able to be sitting here. I was a battered woman, I felt embarrassed about saying I was a battered woman. I felt shame. I felt like it was my fault. What did I do? I didn't understand what a battered woman was at that time. Now I know I was in a very dysfunctional, hostile relationship and a victim of domestic violence."
Floyd has been cited or arrested for seven attacks on five different women over the last ten years

What would a new Eminem album be without some controversial lyrics? Past lyrical punching bags include Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, his we-wife Kim Mathers, his mother, Benzino, Ja Rule, Everlast and Insane Clown Posse to name a few.
The rap superstar already has some critics up in arms over a song that appears on his forthcoming album, SHADYXV. The track is entitled "Vegas." On it he threatens to sexually assault Iggy Azalea.
“So swallow my pride you’re lucky just to follow my ride/ If I let you run alongside the Humvee/ Unless you’re Nicki, grab you by the wrist, let’s ski/ So what’s it gon’ be? Put that shit away Iggy/ You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me. Scream! I love it. ‘Fore I get lost with the gettin’ off," Slim spits.
We may now live in a time when everyone is walking on egg shells trying to make sure they don't say anything to offend, but Eminem has proven time and again he could care less what people think. This is the same guy who kills his ex-wife on wax.
"Here I'll scream with you, ah, somebody help!/ Don't you get it bitch, no one can hear you/ Now shut the fuck up and get what's coming to you/ You were supposed to love me/ Now bleed bitch, bleed!! Bleed bitch, bleed!! Bleed," he raps on the 2000 song "Kim."
So, before everyone gets their panties in a bunch over "Vegas" remember the past history of the person who wrote it. If you're foolish enough to believe Eminem condones rape, I suggest you never listen to any of his music because he's sure to offend you again in the future.
SHADYXV arrives in stores on November 24.

Back in October VH1 fired Benzino and his fiancee Althea Eaton from Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. There was no reason given by the network, leaving many people scratching their heads.
Benzino and Eaton had been embroiled in a beef with Stevie J and his woman Joseline Hernandez. That feud came to a head during a brawl at the taping of a reunion show, but let's be honest, the beef was good for ratings.
Althea subsequently filed a lawsuit against Joseline stemming from the brawl. In it she alleges Joseline was high on crack cocaine at the time she attacked her.
New light has been shed on why Zino and Althea were let go. Stevie tells TMZ that the rapper was making death threats to him, Joseline, producers and other staff members.
"He said flat out he was going to kill us," says Stevie.
Benzino denies the accusations. His take on the situation is that VH1 made the decision to keep Joseline, who he describes as a "crack whore," instead of him.
"Stevie J is a habitual liar and VH1 has never given me a reason for being fired," he told TMZ. "They wanted to keep the crackhead whore."

NEW YORK (Associated Press) — NBC has scrapped a Bill Cosby comedy that was under development and TV Land will stop airing reruns of "The Cosby Show," moves that came a day after another woman came forward claiming that the once-beloved comic had sexually assaulted her.
NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks said Wednesday the Cosby sitcom "is no longer under development." A TV Land representative said the reruns will stop airing immediately for an indefinite time. "The Cosby Show" also was to have been part of a Thanksgiving sitcom marathon.
The NBC sitcom and "Cosby Show" reruns joined a Netflix Cosby standup comedy special, which was indefinitely postponed late Tuesday, as mounting evidence of Cosby's faltering career. They occurred a day after model Janice Dickinson, in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight," became the third woman in recent weeks to allege she'd been assaulted by Cosby — charges strongly denied by the comedian's lawyer.
Janice Dickinson
The developments, which involve allegations that were widely reported a decade ago as well as new accusations, have gravely damaged the 77-year-old comedian's reputation as America's TV dad at a time when he was launching a comeback. A year ago, a standup special — his first in 30 years — aired on Comedy Central and drew a hefty audience of 2 million viewers. His prospective new series was announced by NBC in January.
Cosby has never been charged in connection with any of the allegations. Former Pennsylvania prosecutor Bruce L. Castor Jr., who investigated a woman's claims that Cosby had sexually assaulted her in 2004, said Wednesday he decided not to prosecute because he felt there was not enough evidence to get a conviction.
Bruce L. Castor Jr.
"I wrote my opinion in such a way as I thought conveyed to the whole world that I thought he had done it, he had just gotten away with it because of a lack of evidence," the former Montgomery County district attorney said.
If Cosby hadn't been cooperative with the investigation, "I probably would have arrested him," Castor said.
Cosby was asked about the growing furor by an Associated Press reporter when the comedian was promoting an exhibition at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art that features the comedian's African-American art collection alongside African artworks.
When the AP interviewed Cosby, on Nov. 6, the story involved long-circulated accusations from several women and recent criticism from comedian Hannibal Buress. Cosby declined to comment, saying "We don't answer that."
Hannibal Buress
The AP mentioned the allegations and Cosby's decision not to comment at the end of its story, which, like the interview, was primarily about his loan of more than 50 artworks to the Washington museum.
Since then, two women have come forward publicly to accuse him of sexual assault, Netflix, TV Land and NBC cut ties and an appearance on "The Late Show With David Letterman" was canceled. In recent days, as the allegations gained increasing attention, AP went back through the full video of the Nov. 6 interview and decided to publish Cosby's full reaction to questions about the claims.
The AP was among a handful of news organizations granted interviews with Cosby in connection with the art exhibition. After his initial refusal to comment — as the interview was winding down but with the camera still running and Cosby wearing a lapel microphone — the comedian asked the AP to not use the brief on-camera refusal to comment he had just made about the allegations. "And I would appreciate it if it was scuttled," he said.
The interview was on the record. The AP had made no agreement to avoid questions about the allegations or to withhold publishing any of his comments at any time.
The Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art has not changed its plans for the show, which opened this month on the National Mall and is scheduled to remain on view through early 2016.
"The exhibition has been very well received. We've actually had record numbers through the door," spokesman Eddie Burke said, adding the museum has had no complaints.
The NBC project was in the very early stages, without a script or commitment to production. But it would have brought Cosby back to the network where he had reigned in the 1980s with the top-rated "The Cosby Show."
There's some precedent for a network burying a project because of stories involving a star's personal life. NBC shelved a two-hour TV movie, "Frogmen," starring O.J. Simpson in 1994 after the former football star was implicated in his wife's death.
Cosby has continued working as a stand-up comic, and has at least 35 performances scheduled throughout the U.S. and Canada through May 2015. None of the performances has been cancelled.
National Artists Corporation, which is promoting part of the tour, said it will not be canceling any shows.
Dickinson told "Entertainment Tonight" that Cosby had given her red wine and a pill when they were together in a Lake Tahoe, California, hotel room in 1982. When she woke up the next morning, "I wasn't wearing my pajamas and I remembered before I passed out I had been sexually assaulted by this man."
Cosby's lawyer, Martin Singer, said in a letter to the AP that Dickinson's charges were "false and outlandish" and were contradicted by Dickinson herself in a published autobiography. Cosby's spokesman, David Brokaw, did not return calls for comment.
Singer said the first Cosby heard of any assault allegation from Dickinson came in the "Entertainment Tonight" interview, and suggested the actress was "seeking publicity to bolster her fading career."

During a conversation with new Bill Cosby sexual assault accuser Joan Tarshis, CNN's Don Lemon had an awkward exchange with her while talking about how she could stopped Cosby.
As we previously reported, Tarshis claims she avoided being vaginally raped during the 1969 encounter by telling Cosby she had an infection he might pass on to his wife if he proceeded with the act. Cosby countered that by "making her" perform oral sex on him instead.
"I thought I was very clever in saying that, but he was more clever," Tarshis told Lemon. "And instead he made me have oral sex with him, which really was horrible. To me it was much, much worse than if he raped me the normal way.”
CNN just released another part of the interview that showed Lemon's response.
"There are ways not to perform oral sex if you didn't want to do it," Lemon said.
"I was kind of stoned at the time," Tarshis replied. "And quite honestly that didn't even enter my mind. Now I wish it would have."
"You mean the using of the teeth," Lemon told her. "As a weapon...biting. I had to ask."
"That's what I thought [you meant]. Ouch," Tarshis said.
Was Don Lemon out of line? Or do you believe this was helpful advice to Tarshis or any other woman that may find themselves in a similar situation?
**UPDATE**
Well, that didn't take long. Don Lemon has issued an apology to anyone he offended during his interview with Joan Tarshis
I need to say something before we get to our next story. A word about my interview last night with Cosby accuser Joan Tarshis. As I am a victim myself I would never want to suggest that any victim could have prevented a rape. If my question to her struck anyone as insensitive, I am sorry as that is certainly and was not my intention
