In this VladTV exclusive, Willie D took the time to speak about the Geto Boys’ legendary hip-hop song “Mind Playing Tricks on Me.” Willie acknowledged that the track was initially supposed to be a solo track for Scarface, but changed after J Prince heard it. He said the record needed to be a Geto Boys song. Willie noted that he doesn’t remember Scarface protesting the idea and that Scarface already had three verse written, but gave Bushwick Bill one of his original verses.

From there, Willie D spoke on the impact of Lil Jay and also commented on why he believes Lil Jay is so feared. The rapper noted that he is a good guy, that Jay runs off of the idea of respect.

While police brutality is being well-documented and viewed worldwide thanks to social media and major news coverage, Killer Mike believes things have gotten worse despite the visibility. While a witness to violence between officers and citizens, Killer Mike believes there has been a drastic change within the last 20 or 30 years where he says drug units would catch drug dealers, take their drugs and let them go. He told DJ Vlad, "So you got your ass kicked, but you didn't get an arrest record... now they're murdering."

While on a campaign run with his right-hand man, Bernie Sanders, the rapper says he saw fear in another man's eyes due to the unsettling circumstances between cops and Black men. After inviting one man on stage, he recalled the man telling him, "When y'all leave town, who's going to protect me?" He went on to explain how the reckless reaction of officers who abused their authority within the last two decades has morphed into super-predators who view black men as "animals." The Run the Jewels rapper said, "Policemen enter their work now as though they're going on a hunt. Policemen are strapping up as though they are paramilitary and they are hunting."

MONTERREY, Mexico – The warden of a prison in the northern state of Durango is under arrest on suspicion she let inmates leave the facility to carry out killings in the nearby city of Torreon, the Mexican Attorney General’s Office said.

In custody along with warden Margarita Rojas Rodriguez are her deputy, Francisco Carlos Alberto Uranga, and prison security chiefs Roberto Enriquez Aguayo and Jose Guadalupe Diaz Ordaz, as well as several guards.

The prison personnel are charged in connection with more than 30 deaths in Torreon, including last week’s massacre of 17 people attending a birthday party at a rented hall, AG office spokesman Ricardo Najera said.

Rojas is accused of allowing inmates to leave Cereso Dos prison at night to carry out killings with active help from some of the guards.

The inmates returned to their cells after the crimes.

The criminals commit their executions as part of settling scores with members of bands linked to organized crime,” Najera said, adding that a search of Cereso Dos prison turned up four assault rifles used in the July 18 killings at Torreon’s Italia Inn.

Sunday’s arrests came days after the appearance on the Internet of a video in a which a Lerdo, Durango, police officer confesses to being on the payroll of a crime boss and points to warden Rojas’ alleged role in the Torreon murders.

The video of Rodolfo Najera was made and posted on the Web by Los Zetas, a band of special forces deserters turned hired guns and drug traffickers, and concludes with the cop’s execution.

La Laguna, a region comprising parts of Durango and neighboring Coahuila, is the object of a bitter turf struggle between Los Zetas and the Sinaloa cartel. EFE.

NEW YORK — Lloyd Banks said he wasn't deeply touched by the original version of "We Are the World" when it came out in 1985; the Southside Queens native was just barely 2 years old when the star-studded charity record debuted. So, understandably, Banks said he has no problem with the record being remade.

"To be honest with you, I'm very aware of the record and how big the record was," he said Wednesday afternoon at the G-Unit office. "But I was so young at the time, it really doesn't affect me the way it would affect an older rapper. They might have completely understood what the record was. It doesn't disappoint me they had rap in it now. It's kids out there that never heard the record to begin with. I can't say they messed the record up. If anything, they brought it to a new audience.

"Michael Jackson was a phenomenal artist. It will never be another one of those guys," Banks added. "So anything would have not topped [the original version]. You could have anybody sing on that. But it was a good look. It was for a good cause."

Jay-Z, meanwhile, told MTV News that the original was "untouchable" and was surprised that it was remade.

Banks found out about the tragic earthquake in Haiti when he was released from jail in Canada and came back home to the U.S. The G-Unit rapper was arrested for assault and robbery last month after an alleged dispute with a concert promoter.

"Actually, when I had first came back from jail, I seen that," he explained. "It was the first thing I saw in the airport. It really bothered me. People was sending me stuff through the phone; [pictures] of people lined up dead. It really bothered me. From that point on, I was like, 'Whatever I could do [to help], I'll be there. A concert or whatever.' I have a lot of close friends that are Haitian, including Sha Money XL, Tony Yayo, Whoo Kid and some of my guys from the street. It's like, 'Damn, they got family members they still haven't heard from to this day.' I wouldn't know what I would do in that situation. My heart goes out to all those people who lost somebody."
