Video After The Jump "Just a different lifestyle...we rich, so we come from a different lifestyle. That's [going] from something to nothing, so yeah it's a big adjustment." Cash Money CEO Birdman and Cortez Bryant, President of Young Money Enertainment, sat down with CNN to talk about how prison has changed superstar rapper Lil Wayne. "You know he's at a standstill," says Birdman. "When we out here and we be moving like we be moving, everything fast. But when you're in that cell you get to see things different. You don't ever come out the same way you go in. So [he's] probably just reading more, learning about life. It's a hell of an experience, we never thought he'd experience being locked up because that's not something we design for ourselves." While Wayne has been gone, two of his Young Money artists have started to come into their own. Drake's debut album 'Thank Me Later' has gone platinum. And Nicki Minaj's buzz has gone through the roof, as she preps her first disc 'Pink Friday.' Which is set to drop just a couple of weeks after Wayne's November 5 release date. Wayne has even dropped an album himself. 'I Am Not A Human Being' was released last week. Cortez sees a couple of other silver linings as well. "I think the biggest thing, that he even laughs about is patience. Everything's slowed down now, Like B said we live this fast life, and we were getting it the last couple of years," Cortez says. "So now everything's slowed down, he sees things clearer and he's got a lot of patience." Even though he's locked up, Birdman insists Weezy is still calling the shots for his YM crew. "Wayne's still intact of everything that's going on. Still calling shots, doing things and making sure the artists are on point. Just working, being in tune to what's going on, {he's still} bossed up." twitter-5d.gif

Lil Wayne ft Birdman - Pop Dat (Music Video)

Video After The Jump DJ Scoob Doo gives fans a glimpse of what to expect from the Nino Brown Story Part 3 DVD. 'Pop Dat', a track from Lil Wayne's 'No Ceilings' mixtape gets the visual treatment this time around. A lot of butt shaking going on in this video, you can never go wrong with that.

Video After The Jump The # 7 slot on MTV's Hottest MC's In The Game List goes to Lil Wayne. While some may disagree with this placement, what can't be denied is Weezy's work ethic. The CEO of Young Money Records has been in jail since May, but it doesn't seem like he's been gone that long.. The man prepared well for his prison sentence, leaving his fans lots of quality music and videos to hold them over until his November 2010 release from Rikers Island. In 2010 Wayne released two solo albums. The rock influenced 'Rebirth' which has gone gold. And 'I Am Not A Human Being' which just hit # 1 on Billboards Hot 100 chart this week. Add to that the countless videos he shot before going in, "Drop The World" ft Eminem from 'Rebirth', "No Love", another Eminem collaboration that appeared on Em's 'Recovery' cd. Also "Da Da Da", "Knockout" ft Nicki Minaj and "I Am Not A Human Being". Well you get the picture, dude put in work. He actually shot nine videos in one weekend at one point in Febrary. So Wayne gets a well deserved nod at # 7 on the list.....congrats.

Well, this is embarassing. Late on the day rapper and Cash Money Records exec Birdman claimed to be waiting on NFL approval to buy a minority stake of the Dolphins, the Dolphins denied ever even speaking to him. "I have NEVER spoken to him or any representative," Ross said in a statement released by the team. "Not considering or looking for any celebrity limited partners." Ouch. In other words, don't even try now. Birdman, real name Bryan Williams, had only just made his "announcement" to radio host Angela Yee on Sirius' Morning After Show. "I did hear you were looking into buying part of the Miami Dolphins," Yee said. "Sure was, I'm still waiting on that letter...," Williams replied. "We wanted to be part owner of the Dolphins and we're looking forward to that...It's in the works. You have to get clearance from the NFL and we're waiting for clearance. Once we get clearance, we good." Or not. But at least he reminded everyone he still exists by getting his name in the news! The important thing isn't a lesson in record execs loving self-promotion, it's that Stephen Ross said he's done acquiring minority owners. Source: Miami Herald

Check Out Pic Of A Young Drake Stuntin

I want all parents to take a good look at this picture. Yall may think it's cool to dress your kids in all kinds of weird outfits for Halloween and school plays. And of course we don't know any better, so we put the costumes on and pose for pics like young Aubrey Graham here. But we're going to grow up, and these pics will still be out here to haunt us forever. So just consider these facts when choosing your kids costume for Halloween, which is right around the corner. This was a Public Service Announcement sponsored by embarrassed kids all across the world. twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump I'm really digging the trend of rappers using bands in concert and live television appearances. It shows the progression of hip hop, from when performances were strictly two turntables and a mic. While I see nothing wrong with the latter, I do think live bands will become more the norm, and will free the dj up to do more cutting and scratching. All that leads up to is me saying Drake was exceptional on Late Show With David Letterman last night (October 1). Where he performed "Show Me A Good Time" from his debut album 'Thank Me Later.' How do you guys feel about live bands vs just the mc and his dj? twitter-5d.gif

You would think that Lil Wayne being in jail would give him a break from drama in the outside world, but that's not the case. Boombox is reporting that Weezy is about to be served a summons to appear in federal court for failure to pay Atlanta producer Mali Boy. Mali claims he has not received payment for the song "Mrs Officer" that appeared on the multi platinum selling 'Tha Carter III' album. This lawsuit comes on the heels of Bangladesh's claim that he hasn't been paid for "A Milli". And even more recently "Lollipop" producer Jim Jonsin told AllHipHop he hasn't seen a dime for his work either. "We’re still trying to get paid. Clearly, I don’t understand what the issue is. They sold the record, they’ve collected the checks, they’ve even gotten huge advances, they’re buying Bugattis, and spending all kinds of money. But the producers and people that created the songs are not getting paid. And so we’re going through some things now in hopes that it gets fixed. That thing was like the most downloaded song in history, so pay the people who made it. It’s not your record, it’s our record," Jonsin said. Clearly Cash Money is making a lot of money, so none of this makes sense. I've never heard of a label not paying this many different producers for their work. Bangladesh has said recently he is going to put in some work on 'Pink Friday', Nicki Minaj's debut album, but make no mistake he's still trying collect what is owed to him. "Everything is being worked out through the legal process," he told BoomBox. "It's really out of his control honestly. I mean he don't run the label, he don't own the label -- he's just on the label." Lil Wayne will be a free man November 5. twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump Slime Flu season is almost upon us. Initially slated to be a free mixtape, Vado's highly anticipated 'Slime Flu' is now being released by E1 Records. You may have to spend a few bucks to get it, but judging from the material Cam'ron's protege has been releasing to the streets, it will be well worth it. GEOHVISION was on the scene to give us a behind the scene glimpse of Vado and Jae Millz's new 'Respect The Jux' video. The song is inspired by the Frank Mathews novel of the same name, which is also being made into a feature film. The 'Slime Flu' mixtape is dropping October 12.

Video After The Jump JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- He is a multi-million dollar selling artist whose songs continue to top the charts. But Thursday night, two people told police that rap-artist, Drake started a fight that sent one of them to the hopsital. "I don't even want to hear his songs on the radio." Jeremis Soriano's lip was busted open after he said Drake's bodyguard punched him. "Before I got to say his name, he hit me in the mouth and I fell back," he said. Jeremis started to call Drake names when the rapper pushed his friend away. "He never put his hands on Drake. He never made a fist toward the security guard for them to hit him that hard," said Soriano's friend. And it continued after both of them were escorted out of the club. "Drake went to get on the bus and he flicked me off and said 'F--- You, you are nothing,'" said Soriano's friend. "They are just regular people with a little more money than us," said Soriano. Jeremis went to Memorial Hospital for treatment and now has six stitches in his mouth. "They are the same people that are buying your C.D.'s. You shouldn't treat us like that," he said. Jeremis says he will press charges and is even seeking legal advice. But he says he doesn't want much, just enough to pay his medical bills. Drake was in town last week for a concert. The Jacksonville Sheriff's office was not able to get in touch with Drake Thursday night, but they are investigating. Source: Fox30 twitter-5d.gif

Drake and J.Cole are two of the hottest young rappers in the game. Drake has already dropped a platinum album, while Cole is gearing up for his Roc Nation debut. Fans are already talking about who would win a potential lyrical battle on wax between the two. It's something Cole has contemplated himself. He recently talked to Vibe and gave his thoughts on the possibility. "From a fan’s point of view, who are you going to get excited about [to] battle? I feel like that’s why people push the J.Cole/Drake thing so much, ‘cause I think we’re probably the first two artists that fans are super excited about. The two that they would like to see go at it. I don’t blame ‘em. But it’s just a sign of the times. Rap goes in cycles. I’m not promoting that, but I’m a competitive person in general, so I’m a fan of people throwing jabs and shots. That motivates me," Cole said. What do you guys think? Who would come out on top if these two went at it?

Video After The Jump What recession? Cash Money Records co-owner, Birdman is spending money like it's nothing. The man has likes expensive items from Europe. Just in the last week we've seen Stunna cop a $2.5 million dollar Bugatti Veyron sports car. Now we see him being hand delivered a $1.5 million dollar diamond encrusted Chopard watch. The watch is supposedly one of only two made. The other is owned by singer Elton John who is an avid admirer of exquisite time pieces. So much so, he has his own collection designed by Chopard. The watch pictured below was made by the company to mark their 10 years of support for Elton's Aids Foundation.

Is spending $1.5 million dollars on a watch ridiculous or not a big deal if you're rich and can afford it?
