A rivalry between two Colombian gangs erupted in a shooting massacre at a nightclub. A trio of gunmen entered the Barra la 44 club in Cali and opened fire on club goers, who just minutes earlier had been dancing.

12350487699?profile=original

The shooting lasted 20-minutes. A few people can be seen running from the club as bullets fly. One man collapses in the street, while a woman ducks her head as a gunman fires just a feet from her. A total of eight people were killed and five seriously wounded.

The CCTV footage from the November 8th shooting was recently released. The three gunman have been arrested, according to the New York Daily News.

An ongoing war between two gangs, La 39 and La 40, was to blame for the massacre.

CHIHUAHUA, Mexico (AP) — An out-of-control monster truck shot into a crowd of spectators at a Mexican air show, killing at least eight people and hurting 80 others, dozens seriously, officials said.

Carlos Gonzalez, spokesman for the Chihuahua state prosecutors' office, said the driver appeared to have lost control of the truck after leaping over a pile of cars it was crushing during a demonstration at the "Extreme Aeroshow" on Saturday.

Wounded people are assisted at the site where a monster truck hit a grandstand full of spectators.

Some witnesses said the driver appeared to have hit his head on the interior of the truck as he drove over the old cars, with at least two reporting seeing his helmet come off before the massive vehicle drove into the crowd of terrified spectators, who tried to flee.

"I fell over, and when I turned around I saw the tire very close. It hit me and threw me to the other side," Jesus Manuel Ibarra, 41, said as he was treated for injuries to his arm and hip.

Gonzalez said the accident killed at least one child and hurt 80 people, 46 of whom remained hospitalized early Sunday. He said the number of dead and injured could rise as officials received updated information Sunday morning. The local health system listed the names of 67 injured people on its Facebook page, calling urgently for blood donations and help from local doctors and nurses.

Spectators react after a monster truck rammed the stand where they were watching the air show.

Gonzalez said prosecutors were looking into the possibility of a mechanical failure that left the driver unable to release the gas pedal. Several witnesses said, however, that the driver appeared to have become incapacitated when he struck his head during the show, in which the truck drives at high speed over smaller cars, leaping into the air as it crushes their roofs.

Spectator Daniel Dominguez, 18, said he was happily watching the show with a group of relatives when the truck came down hard in the middle of the cars.

Spectators react after a monster truck rammed the stand where they were watching a monster truck rally show at El Rejon park, on the outskirts of Chihuahua, on Saturday.

"The driver hit his head and his helmet flew off," Dominguez said. "The truck came directly at where we were."

His 11-year-old sister was in surgery for injuries to her legs, and his mother was treated for minor contusions.

Spectators flee the scene where a monster truck hit a grandstand full of spectators, killing eight.

The air show was canceled after the accident that happened during the second day of the three-day show in a park on the outskirts of Chihuahua, the capital of Chihuahua state.

Police now believe two shooters, including one in fatigues, have killed four people and wounded eight others at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday, throwing the region into fear and chaos during the morning commute.

At least one of the shooters is “down,” police said mid-morning, but it was unclear whether that means the suspect has been arrested or shot. They said the other suspect remains at large, and police believe they have pinned down one between the third and fourth floors of one of the buildings on the installation in Southeast Washington.

9773962351_6e5e9c541a_b.jpg

Police on the scene said at least eight civilians were shot, along with the two police officers. One is a D.C. Metro Police officer who was shot twice in the leg and was evacuated on a helicopter that took off from a rooftop, police said. The other officer worked at the base. Except for the officer who was taken away by helicopter, all the other injured were being treated on the ground, police said.

Ed Buclatin, that public affairs chief for the Navy Installations Command tweeted “four killed and eight injured” at the Navy Yard.

A Navy Yard employee reached by telephone shortly before 10 a.m. said employees are still being told to shelter in place. She did not hear the shots, but described sirens, SWAT teams, Marines and a helicopter responding.

The U.S. Navy said that three shots were fired around 8:20 a.m. at the Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters building, where about 3,000 people work.

9774398925_38f6afd9f5_b.jpg

In a number of tweets from the base, employees expressed their fright. One tweet said people were stuck on the fourth floor of the headquarters building, while the shooter was firing from the third floor. Others wrote of being incredulous that a shooter could get inside the building.

Two Navy yard employees interviewed on CNN said they were fired on in a hallway by a gunman they described as a tall black man.

A woman who gave her name as Terry Durham said that as she and co-workers were evacuating, she saw a man down the hall raise a rifle and fire toward them, hitting a wall. “He was tall. He appeared to be dark-skinned,” she said.

“He was a tall black guy,” said her co-worker, Todd Brundage, who is black. “He didn’t say a word.”

One man who said he was at his desk on the second floor when the shooting began recalled hearing a loud noise “like someone dropping an old metal desk.” The man, who declined to give his name, said there was a pause, then several noises close together and he realized the danger: “There’s a shooter in the building. I started walking toward the door and I heard people running down the hall.”

Employees described the chaos, as a fire alarm sounded and people shouted, “Where is he? Where is he?”

Police closed the 11th St Bridge as well as M St SE between 2nd and 4th streets SE due to the shooting. Entrances to the Navy Yard Metro station remain open.

U.S. Capitol Police confirmed enhanced security at the Capitol, but no immediate threat.

Tyler Elementary School at 10th and G streets in Southeast was on lockdown.

As helicopters circled overhead and emergency vehicles continued to rush to the scene, crowds of onlookers gathered on sidewalks and at a construction site near the Navy Yard, but police pushed them back, yelling at them to keep a distance from the grounds.

President Obama has been briefed on the situation at the Washington Navy Yard, according to a White House official who asked not to be identified because the situation was still fluid.

“The President has been briefed several times about the unfolding situation at the Washington Navy Yard by Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Lisa Monaco and Deputy Chief of Staff Alyssa Mastromanaco,” the official said. “The President directed his team to stay in touch with our federal partners, including the Navy and FBI, as well as the local officials. We urge citizens to listen to the authorities and follow directions from the first responders on site.”

**UPDATE**

Via Washington Post

At least 12 people are dead and others were wounded after a shooter opened fire at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday, police said, spreading fear and chaos across the region as authorities tried to contain the incident.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier announced the mounting death toll in a 2 p.m. news conference. The suspected shooter, identified by three law enforcement officials as Aaron Alexis, a man in his 30s from Texas, is among the dozen dead.

But hours after the rampage began, it was still unclear whether the shooting was the act of a lone gunman, or if other shooters were involved. Lanier initially said authorities were looking for two other potential shooters dressed in military style clothing. But shortly after she announced a detailed description of two suspects, city officials said one had been located and cleared.

[For up to the minute information about the shooting, check The Post’s live blog.]

Mayor Vincent C. Gray said no motive is known. He said they have no reason to believe it was an act of terrorism, though he said he could not rule it out.

Lanier described the other possible suspect, who has not been located, as a black man in his 40s with gray sideburns, wearing an olive-drab military-style uniform.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect to call 202-727-9099.

Two law enforcement officials said the shooter is among the 12 dead. The dead shooter had an assault rifle and a handgun, two law enforcement officials said. One said he also had a shotgun.

The first, sketchy details about the suspect give no hints about what may have gone wrong.

Aaron Alexis, 34, grew up in Brooklyn with his mother, Sarah, and father, Anthony Alexis, according to his aunt Helen Weeks.

“We haven’t seen him for years,” Weeks said of her nephew in a telephone interview. “I know he was in the military. He served abroad. I think he was doing some kind of computer work.”

A 2007 Navy Times feature cites an Aaron Alexis as having graduated from Navy boot camp that year from the Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Its unclear if this is the same Alexis, but the newspaper listed his occupational specialty as an airman recruit. A deleted web profile of an Aaron Alexis listed him as being stationed at Naval Air Station, Fort Worth, Tex.

Officials said police theorize that there may be additional shooters because of witness accounts and surveillance video among other information. One of those officials also said all the weapons were not accounted for.

At least two police officers were among those shot. Police on the scene said one is a D.C. police officer who was shot twice in the leg and was evacuated to a hospital. Lanier said he was in stable condition after engaging the shooter with gunfire. The other was a base officer. The D.C. officer, a male, was conscious at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and his chances for survival were good, hospital officials said.

Janis Orlowski, the chief medical officer at Washington Hospital Center, said three victims in all were brought to the center, all in critical condition but alert, responsive and able to talk with doctors. The victims were also able to speak briefly to law enforcement officers before undergoing surgery or treatment, she said.

The other two victims at the hospital were female civilians, Orlowski said at a news conference. All are likely to survive.

Video After The Jump

MTV continues to roll out their list of the Hottest MC's in the Game as we countdown to No. 1. Today three more artists names were added.

12349926877?profile=original

24-year old Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky was one of the most talked about emcees of 2012. His debut album Long.Live.A$AP made it's debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts with sales of 139,000 copies when it was released in January 2013.

By that time he had already dropped two hot singles with "Goldie" and "F*ckin Problems" in 2012. He was also featured on Schoolboy Q's "Hands on the Wheel" and the remix to Rihanna's "Cockiness."

Add to that his successful Long Live A$AP Tour, and that was enough to place him at No. 8 on MTV's list.

12349519665?profile=original

Kanye West is next up on the list landing at No. 8. The Louis Vuitton Don didn't have a solo album in 2012, but he kept his name ringing by releasing the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer, which produced the hit singles "Mercy," "Clique," "New God Flow" and the remix to Chief Keef's "I Don't Like."

West made guest appearances on 2 Chainz's "Birthday Song" and the remix to Rihanna's "Diamonds."

Yeezy also successfully took over Europe for part of the year with Jay-Z on the Watch the Throne tour.

Is No. 7 a good spot for Kanye?

12349927274?profile=original

Big Sean is an interesting choice for No. 6 on the Hottest MC's in the Game list. The Detroit rapper didn't have an album out in 2012, but he did release the Detroit mixtape which featured "Mula." He also dropped the single "Guap."

He appeared on "Mercy" with Kanye West, 2 Chainz and Pusha T. Sean was also featured on "Clique" with Kanye West and Jay-Z.

In your opinion was that enough to rank him so high on the list? The brain trust at MTV certainly thinks so.

DJ Whoo Kid and Loaded Lux were the guest judges on The Howard Stern Show for the rap battle between Sal Governale aka "Pouchy G" and Jon Leiberman aka "2 Live Jew."

Both Jon and Sal were both hilariously horrible. In the end Whoo Kid and Lux gave the nod to Sal for being the least worst of the two.

Prior to the rap battle Whoo Kid gave a really funny interview about getting "n*gga slapped" by 50 Cent, hating his wife of 15-years, sleeping with 8,000 women, banging white chicks while on tour with Eminem, his two "Bruce Leroy" kids cursing his wife out, showering with both of his parents, being fired repeatedly by 50, his dad teaching him everything he knows and more.

Wiz Khalifa stays high, so as expectations for his debut album, Rolling Papers, shot through the roof, the Pittsburgh rapper made good by delivering a gold-selling LP last March — with multiple hit singles to back it. That success and more was enough to take him from MTV's 2010 Hottest Breakthrough MC to the Hottest MCs in the Game VII list.

Not only did the Taylor Gang general snag the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 in his first week out — behind Britney Spears — he also dropped a collaborative album with Snoop Dogg (Mac & Devin Go to High School), blessed fans with the Cabin Fever mixtape, and sold out shows around the world on his Rolling Papers Tour. When it was all said and done, the Kush and Orange Juice spitter clocked in a reported $11 million and snagged the #11 spot on Forbes' Hip-Hop's Top Earners list.

"First of all, he won the Hottest Breakthrough MC and really fulfilled the promise that we all knew that he had," MTV News Senior hip-hop Writer Rob Markman said. "To be this young and have this many accomplishments, almost three albums in a year, you gotta give it up to dude."

The criteria to be considered a Hottest MC are based on a combination of factors: impact, buzz, sales, lyrics, swag and the intangibles. The Taylor Gang captain meets all of them. His impact was huge, just look at the way veteran artists like Snoop and Juicy J lined up to collaborate with the youngster. Wiz's buzz kept him a part of the overall 2011 hip-hop conversation and he notched impressive sales numbers. Khalifa also has a strong sense of style, as seen in his New York Times style magazine feature last September. And his relationship with Amber Rose kept him in the tabloids, adding an intangible element to his growing celebrity.

After each member of MTV's Hip-Hop Brain Trust submitted their personal Hottest MCs lists, Wiz landed the #8 spot. But then things took an interesting turn. After a heated roundtable debate and subsequent vote, Khalifa was bumped to #9 and G.O.O.D. Music upstart Big Sean snatched the #8 slot. The argument was fiery, and though most of the panelists agreed that Wiz's success was remarkable, some contended that Rolling Papers was a critical disappointment and Khalifa had lost some steam in the past few months.

"It's a good album, but I think with the momentum and expectations, it didn't live up to the hype," said Yomi Desalu, MTV's senior director of music and talent programming strategy.

"But I just feel like I want him up there because of the full year, of the full stride, of the Rolling Papers Tour, of what he [accomplished]," Rebecca Thomas, an MTV News editor and writer, argued.

If Wiz's final position on the "Hottest MCs in the Game" list is debatable, his impact on hip-hop over the past year is irrefutable. With a bunch of accolades already under his belt, Khalifa has nowhere to go but up!

Lil Boosie pleaded guilty yesterday (November 29) to charges of trying to smuggle drugs into two seperate prisons on three different occasions.

According to various news reports, Boosie tried to smuggle codeine, ecstacy and marijuana into Dixon Correctional Center once and into Angola State Penitentiary twice. Both prisons are in Louisiana.

He was sentenced to eight years by judge Mike Erwin.

Boosie requested he be allowed to undergo drug counseling while in prison. The judge said he would recommend it but could not order it.

"Don’t worry about me I am getting help with my drug addiction and I am accepting full responsibility for the choice I made," Boosie said in a statement to TMZ.

Boosie's troubles are far from over. He still faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of Terry Boyd. That trial has been set for April 30, 2012.

"I am going to fight the false murder charge till the end. Love you all," Boosie told TMZ.

Photos After The Jump

Rihanna has released some promotional photographs for her new album Talk That Talk, which hits stores November 21.

The 23-year old beauty has never been afraid to show a little skin, but these pics are fairly tame. That may have something to do with the pop star's new toned down approach. She recently told Ryan Seacrest she doesn't want to become a "gimmick."

I kinda just wanted to scale right back instead of having a look,” she said. “I didn’t want to make it such a big deal about what hair color or what cut. I just wanted to go right back to something simple and something flexible, something a little more natural. It’s more about the music. I don’t want to become a gimmick ever.

While her looks may be less risque, her lyrics are not. Check out the 8 dirtiest quotes from Riri's new album as compiled by Terron R. Moore over at Ology.com.

“Suck my cockiness / Lick my persuasion
Eat my poison and swallow your pride down, down.”

“I be tryin’ to chill / B*tches wanna f*ck me

Every little city I go, f*ck me
Shorty must’ve heard, Got the word I move that D”

“I love it when you eat it. I love it when you eat it.”

“I can be your dominatrix / Just submit to my every order
Enter my diamond matrix / If you want my golden flower.”

“I know you wanna bite this / It’s so enticing
Nothin’ else like this / I’mma make you my b*tch.”

“It’s not even my birthday / But he wanna lick the icing off
I know you want it in the worst way / Can’t wait to blow my candles out.”

“Oooh, I wanna f*ck you right now.”

“Yes, I’m kinda crazy / That’s what happens baby
When you put it down / You shouldn’tve given it to me good like that
Shouldn’t have hit it like that / Had me yelling like that”

Riri aint playing around, lol.
