Earlier this week, Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon accidentally shared an explicit photo of girlfriend Izabela Guedes on Instagram, in which her breast was exposed, via Awesemo.com. Although the 25-year-old athlete tried to cover it up with an emoji, it was misplaced.
Guedes, a model and swimwear designer, frequently shares bikini-clad shots with her legions of Instagram followers.
Gordon's mistake is not nearly as bad as Denver Nuggets player Jamal Murray, who uploaded a video to the platform of his girlfriend Harper Hempel performing a sex act on him. Murray said afterwards that he was hacked.
A history teacher who had allegedly shown caricatures of the Prophet Muhammed in class was decapitated and his assailant shot dead by French police as they tried to arrest him on Friday, police and prosecutors said. French anti-terror prosecutors said they were investigating the assault which happened on the outskirts of Paris at around 5:00 pm local time near a school in Conflans Saint-Honorine, a western suburb of the French capital.
Le Parisien and Reuters reported the teacher recently gave a class on freedom of expression and showed cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad, which are considered by Muslims to be blasphemous.
CBS News' Elaine Cobbe reports that a Twitter thread posted on October 9 contained allegations that a history teacher in Conflans Sainte-Honorine had shown students the cartoons depicting Muhammad. The thread contained a video of a man who said his daughter, a Muslim, was one of the pupils in the class, and that she was shocked by the teacher's actions. There is no indication the man in the video is connected to the teacher's death.
Prosecutors said they were treating the incident as "a murder linked to a terrorist organization" and related to a "criminal association with terrorists."
The allegations are similar to charges brought last month against a 25-year old Pakistani man who wounded two people in a meat cleaver attack to avenge the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed by the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo.
The attacker seriously injured two employees of a TV production agency, whose offices are on the same block that used to house Charlie Hebdo. Both survived.
That attack came three weeks into an ongoing trial of suspected accomplices of the authors of the January 2015 attacks on Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket, which also saw a policewoman gunned down in the street.
TARRANT COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – A 5th grader in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District has a habit of setting very lofty goals for himself… he also has a habit of exceeding them.
So, it isn’t surprising that Orion Jean wants to continue his mission to do good for others into the holiday season.
Earlier this fall, the Chisholm Ridge Elementary student collected and donated hundreds of toys to hospitalized children in Dallas through his Race to 500 Toys drive. Now, he’s started another drive with the goal of donating thousands of meals to people in need by Thanksgiving.
In addition to the work Orion is doing on his own, the Race to 100,000 Meals food drive will be be accepting food donations from the public on Saturday, October 24. Donations for that one day should be dropped off between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the Chisholm Ridge neighborhood at 1005 Lindstrom Drive in Fort Worth.
Donors are asked to bring packed meals containing 1 bottle of water, 2 tangerines or 1 apple in a zipped sandwich bag, 1 applesauce cup or tuna pouch, and 1 packaged granola bar. The contents should be inside a brown paper bag with a positive message written on it.
“I’m asking everyone to join me in a race to kindness,” Orion said. “This has been a rough year for everybody, and now it’s more important than ever to show support and love to anyone who needs it.”
Orion began collecting donations earlier this week and has already received nearly 4,000 meals.
Over the summer, Orion won the Think Kindness National Speech contest, where he urged others to show compassion through action. As champion, he was given $500 to start his own kindness project where he went on to collect toys for hospitalized children.

Although Chadwick Boseman knew for years he had terminal cancer, we now know he died without writing a will, but he made a key move months before his death to financially protect his wife.
The "Black Panther" star's widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, has filed probate docs, obtained by TMZ, in which she asks to be named administrator of Chadwick's estate. Taylor has to file the docs in probate court because he did not leave a will.
That seems odd considering Chadwick was diagnosed with colon cancer 4 years ago, and knew it was terminal. However, that also puts his marriage to Taylor, who he reportedly dated since 2015, in a new light ... and here's why.
They got engaged in late 2019, and reportedly tied the knot at some point in 2020. That's important because when a person dies without a will and without children, their surviving spouse inherits all the assets of the probate estate.
According to the docs, Taylor gets nearly $1 million in personal property and assets, but that's not a true reflection of Chadwick's wealth and success. Most likely the majority of his assets are held in separate private trusts.
In the docs, Taylor notes Chadwick is also survived by his 2 parents.
As you know, he was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and it progressed to stage IV as he silently battled through it. Chadwick died in his home surrounded by his wife and family.
ATLANTA — Authorities have announced an arrest in the shooting death of a beloved Atlanta actor who starred in several Spike Lee movies.
Antonio Demetrice Rhynes was arrested early Friday morning along North Camp Creek Parkway.
Ryhnes is accused of shooting and killing Thomas Jefferson Byrd earlier this month in southwest Atlanta.
Byrd starred in several of Lee’s films, including: “Clockers,” “Get on the Bus,” “Bamboozled,” “He Got Game,” “Red Hook Summer,” “Chi-Raq” and more.
The 30-year-old is being booked into the Fulton County Jail. He is facing felony murder charges.
Friends say Byrd was not just an actor, he was an activist trying to make this world a better place.
Juliette McCann grew up with Byrd in Griffin. They went to high school together and kept in contact. Byrd recently sent McCann a text with a message for her children.
“He said to make sure you tell them to stay prayerful and that Black lives matter,” McCann said. “We had no idea that that would be our last conversation.”
Another friend of Byrd’s, Oscar Sheppard, said he is still trying to process that his good friend is gone.
“No matter what he was doing or where he was, I got calls from him,” Sheppard said.
McCann called Byrd a trailblazer and said he once returned to her school to choreograph a student performance for Black History Month.
“Believe me when I tell you that performance was absolutely awesome,” McCann said.

Today, Lxst releases his new EP, King of Vibes, via PIVTL Projects inspired by the moods and emotions that his pensive songs bring to his growing audience. Featuring his work with heavyweight producers such as Tay Keith, Cxdy, Jordan Knows, Ryan Bevolo, and Zaire Beats, Jai Beats, the eight-track release isn’t an introduction into who he is, but more so a declaration of being one of the industry’s most talented mood-makers. The follow up to his ten-track January release Lost, starts with the soft and stirring "On My Way" as he explains his relationship with a woman. He continues to turn the lens inward on tracks like "Worked Hard", "Pergatory" and the previously released "Myself" offering a further glimpse into the emotive space he creates from. Also shouting out the late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, Lxst makes it a mission to follow each track with something bigger than the last. By the end, this avalanche of feels comes crashing down on you.
KOV is an immersive listen that positions him as a rising star in the hip-hop world. With his inventive approach to being personal, Lxst transfixes his listeners and prepares them to become indoctrinated into his society where he is the King of Vibes.
Today, rising red-hot Inland Empire, CA rapper, hitmaking songwriter/producer and half of lyrical rap duo Audio Push, PRICE unleashes his highly anticipated debut solo album titled “CLRD” via Heads Music/CLRD Ent. The album follows his recent singles ‘MUFASA’ which was featured on Apple Music’s The New LA playlist and 'MAYA' that was declared one of the “13 Best New Hip Hop Songs of the Week” last week by XXL and just added to Spotify's coveted Most Necessary, Mellow Bars, and AlternaRap playlists.
PRICE has written and produced for Travis Scott [Antidote, Piss on Your Grave, Way Back, Outside, Wasted], Mariah Carey, Ty Dolla $ign, Kanye West, Brandy for her 2020 hit album ‘B7’, Hitboy, Lucky Daye, and many others. PRICE made his first foray into solo artistry this summer with his and Pink Sweats hit single “Cadillac Drive” off the season four soundtrack of smash HBO series Insecure.
PRICE and Boi 1Da handle production on CLRD while Kota The Friend and Candice Boyd guest feature on the eight-track project. He is also now signed to Wyclef Jean's label home Heads Music.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the project, PRICE says, “CLRD is a celebration of Black joy in a time of unrest and actually is a project I began recording before the pandemic. From our music to our food, families and homies, I’m telling a story that will give my people something to be inspired by during these times where we can be killed by the police or even choked and killed by each other. CLRD is celebrating the everyday things that allow us to persevere, survive and thrive despite adversity. The recent headlines display more than ever that growing up and living African American in this country can suck on occasion, but there’s a lot of beauty in that struggle. Hip hop came out of that struggle, our fashions and inventions that shape culture and society came out of that struggle even with every label we’ve been given, including colored. The labels have never mattered because we always shine through despite it all. I'm teaching the youth and my fans to embrace that on this project. Some of us grew up eating hot sauce on everything, having to lap it up in the Cadillac and sleep on pallets with all our cousins, but it was the shit. We had fun. I found my love for music being stuck in households with 10 people in a 2-bedroom house. I learned who I am and found what’s true to me. This is the music people are getting, and listeners will feel that on each track.”

A suspect accused of attacking two Los Angeles police officers inside a police station — pistol-whipping one with his own gun and open firing on another — has been charged with attempted murder, prosecutors said.
Jose Cerpa Guzman, 29, of Los Angeles, was charged Tuesday with two counts of attempted murder and related charges in the brazen late Saturday assault inside the Harbor Community police station in San Pedro, Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey said.
Prosecutors said Guzman entered the police station and got into an argument with an officer just before 10 p.m. He left but came back and allegedly started attacking an officer.
Video of the onslaught obtained by the Los Angeles Times shows a suspect identified by cops as Guzman knocking the officer to the floor before grabbing his gun and striking him at least four times in the head with the weapon.
Police sources told the newspaper Guzman then tried to shoot the officer — repeatedly squeezing the firearm’s trigger — while pointing the weapon at his chest, but a safety mechanism stopped it from going off.
Guzman then ran out of the station and exchanged gunfire with a watch commander. No one was hurt in the shooting, while the officer who was pistol-whipped had “bumps and bruises” in what LAPD Chief Michel Moore has called a “brutal and immediate assault” that he was lucky to survive.
Moore said Tuesday investigators were still going over all facets of the case, according to the Los Angeles Times.
“Why this officer was not shot by this assailant is unclear, but I’m grateful,” Moore said.
Guzman was taken into custody a short time later, Lacey said. Prosecutors recommended his bail be set at $2.2 million and he faces up to life in state prison if convicted.
A motive in the attack remains unclear and investigators are still looking into how Guzman was able to get into the police station’s front lobby, CBS Los Angeles reported.
It’s unclear if Guzman had hired an attorney ahead of his scheduled arraignment Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Robert Harris, director of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, said the harrowing attack is an example of the extreme dangers cop face every day.
“I know there are people in society that say, ‘This is what you signed up for,’” Harris told NBC Los Angeles. “No, this is not what we signed up for. We are a reflection of the communities we serve — [an] attack on us is an attack on the community.”
