A 60-year-old man was found guilty on Tuesday of groping a woman while she was in costume as Minnie Mouse at Walt Disney World.
John Moyer, who is a grandfather, was sentenced to 180 days of probation, 50 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine. He also must undergo a mental health evaluation and write a letter of apology to the victim.
After the verdict, Moyer continued to maintain his innocence in court.
Moyer groping Minnie Mouse
"I'm not guilty," Moyer told the judge. "I haven't, as the prosecution says, molested or grabbed -- maybe unintentionally touched, but that's as far as it went.
John Moyer The Mouse Louse
Moyer was charged with misdemeanor battery in June after being accused of touching the woman's chest and buttocks in the Toontown area of the Magic Kingdom.
Prosecutors said during the trial that photographs show the Disney cast member pushing Moyer's hands away from her after he touched her.
"It doesn't matter she was grabbed. She's just a mouse," prosecutor David Bear said, arguing against the defense. "It's not just a mouse. It's a person."
Moyer's attorney argued that the photos only prove his client was having fun while on vacation from Pennsylvania with his family.
The woman playing Minnie Mouse said she did not yell for help because she feared that she could lose her job for being out of character. She did report the incident after Moyer left the area, according to investigators.
Sheriff's deputies tracked Moyer down by using photographs and arrested him.
In court, prosecutors said Disney characters are no different than servers at restaurants.
"It's not OK to go to the diner and pinch a waitress' butt anymore, and it's not OK to go to a theme park and pinch a character's butt," Bear said.
The defense countered by saying that there were nine other people in the room, including Moyer's family and other Disney employees who are assigned to watch over the characters, and none of them witnessed anything inappropriate.
"The state wants you to believe this man, in front of all these people, molested this woman. No one saw it. It was never caught on camera," said defense attorney, Zahra Umansky.
Moyer faced a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
The incident is not the first time a Disney character has been at the center of a groping investigation.
In 2004, a man who played Tigger at the theme park was accused of fondling a 13-year-old girl while in costume. A jury found Michael Chartrand not guilty and Disney welcomed him back to work, but he has since returned home to England.

A New Orleans jury has found Corey “C-Murder” Miller of second-degree murder, in relation to January 12, 2002 death of 16-year-old Steve Thomas.
The jury reached the final verdict around 1:40 PM today (August 11), only 24 hours after starting their deliberations.
Yesterday (August 10) a jury of seven women and five men told Judge Hans Liljeberg they were initially deadlocked over Miller's guilt regarding the shooting death of the teenager during a dispute in Club Platinum, a defunct nightclub in Harvey.
Judge Liljeberg ordered them to continue deliberating stating that he had juries with lessor charges deliberate for over eight hours.
Prosecutors wrapped up their closing arguments to the jury around 10:00 am, while Miller’s attorney finished his around 10:40 AM yesterday.
Today, the jury came back with a guilty verdict, although Judge Liljeberg voided the verdict, claiming one juror may have rushed to a decision of guilt in order to end the trial.
The trial comes seven years after Thomas’ death, who would have been 23-years-old this year.
Miller was convicted of second-degree murder in September of 2003, but the verdict was overturned in Louisiana Supreme Court, after it was revealed that prosecutors expunged several witnesses’ criminal backgrounds in hopes of boosting their credibility.
Under Louisiana law, Miller must serve a mandatory sentence of life in prison. A date for a sentencing schedule will take place this Friday (August 14).

The robbers who were let into Graff's
Times Online Reports
An armed gang who took a woman hostage as they stole £40 million worth of rings, necklaces and bracelets from an exclusive store are thought to have escaped with Britain’s biggest ever haul of jewellery.
Two smartly dressed men arrived by black taxi at Graff's jewellers in Bond Street, Central London last week and were buzzed through the airlock into the store, which caters for stars including Mike Tyson, the Beckhams and Naomi Campbell.
Once inside they both produced handguns and forced the staff onto the floor, apart from one woman who was told to open a display cabinet.
Within a matter of minutes they had grabbed 43 items and thrown them into a holdall before briefly taking the female worker hostage as they left the building.
Police believe this was to make sure they were not locked between the two security doors.
As they left they fired a warning shot into the ground before escaping in a blue BMW which was later abandoned nearby after crashing into a taxi.
A second shot was then fired into the ground as members of the public began to give chase to the gang who clambered into a silver Mercedes.
The men then got into a black car, described as a Ford Galaxy or VW Sharan.
The same store lost jewellery worth £23 million in a robbery in 2003 when two Serbians armed with a wig, a revolver and a scooter held up staff.
In 2007, jewellery worth several million pounds was stolen from a branch of Graff's Diamonds in London’s Sloane Street by two men posing as customers.
Detectives from the Flying Squad believe they are looking for at least five men, including a motorbike rider who was given a package by the two men when they were in the BMW.
Detective Chief Inspector Pam Mace from the Flying Squad said: "This was a well planned robbery with a number of vehicles used to help the robbers escape. These men are extremely dangerous and fired at least two shots in busy London streets as they made their getaway.
"As far as the UK is concerned we do not know of a bigger raid.
“Someone knows who these men are, they would undoubtedly have spoken about it beforehand or boasted about it afterwards. I would urge anyone who recognises them, knows the whereabouts of the jewellery or has any other information to contact us."
The first suspect is described as white, approximately 30 years old, with a slim build, dark hair with a well-combed side parting, light stubble on his face and is 5 ft 10 - 6 ft tall. He was wearing a grey suit, white shirt and tie.
His accomplice is black, described as being in his 30s, 6 ft tall, more well built than the first suspect, with very short Afro hair. He was also wearing a grey suit, white shirt and tie.
It is believed both men spoke with London accents

Much of the landscape of Roc-A-Fella has changed dramatically since they were running the rap game early in 2000. The dramatic change is that it no longer exists as Jay-Z not only left Def Jam, but has also been building on Roc Nation with artists by the likes of Wale and J. Cole, but it has been rumored that he still has Young Chris on the ride with him.
Beanie Sigel, who was one of the first to start running with Jigga, and was there when the label exploded with fame will be releasing The Broad Street Bully on September 1. As of late, the Philly rapper has been making his rounds on the mixtape circuit working with the likes of Gillie the Kid, Black DeNiro and even members of his State Property crew making it seem as though Sigel was cooking something up behind closed doors.
Once deemed as Jay-Z protégé, Sigel seemed to be building his steam slowly but surely as his albums built up to the formation of State Property with the rapper leading the pack having his own gang to run beside his mentor. Things slowly changed however between The B. Coming and The Solution.
2007 saw the release of two of the premier artists drop their albums and it was apparent that the touch of Jay was absent. In the case of Freeway, the project was very well put together, but it was promoted very poorly which only made it collect dust in the CD shelves as most people were unaware of it.
In the case of Sigel, Jay was featured on the track “Gutted,” but it wasn't the hard-hitting soulful material that fans have come to know the Philly native for. Hell, maybe it was because his first single was with R. Kelly on “All the Above” with subpar production from The Runners.
Hopefully with his upcoming project that was originally titled The Focus, the fat will be trimmed and he will continue his climb that he was at with The B. Coming. Features are limited to Freeway and Young Chris and as Chris is seen as being little Jay, there might be a chance for Sigel to lead the charge to help resurge State Property at least. Time will only tell where business ties till go as far as him and Hov, but the world needs classic material such as “Still Got Love For You.”
Tracklist for Broad Street Bully:

2. All In
3. Shot Em Up
4. Death Follows Me
5. Phili (w/ Freeway & Young Chris)
6. Ready For War (w/ Freeway & Young Chris)

Prostitution ring suspect Antonio Rivera was in police custody Monday
NYDailyNews Reports
Three Long Island bar bosses were charged Monday with forcing dozens of illegal aliens as young as 17 into prostitution at seedy taverns.
A brother-and-sister team and a manager are accused of luring the women, most of whom are Central American, to work in their bars, then ordering them to perform sex acts on customers.
"They lured innocent young women with promises of legitimate jobs and the American Dream," said John Morton, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement official. "Once the victims arrived, their dreams turned to nightmares."
Antonio Rivera, 34, of Patchogue, and his sister Jasmin Rivera, 31, of Medford, were arrested along with bar manager John Whaley, 29, of Bellport.
They were charged in federal court with sex trafficking and forced labor and could face life in prison. The three were held without bail.
The three bar bosses run La Hija Del Mariachi in Farmingville and Sonidos de la Frontera in Ronkonkoma. Both cater to Mexican and Central American workers.
Rivera, his sister Jasmin, and John Whaley were arrested and charged in federal court with sex trafficking and forced labor.
The women were recruited in their home countries and told they would be working as waitresses or "cantina girls."
Once they got to Long Island and started work, they were told to perform stripteases and lap dances for clients. They also allegedly had to turn tricks - and hand over half the profits to the bar owners.
Women who objected were beaten or raped, the complaint said, and were also threatened with deportation.
Miriam Velazquez, who emigrated from El Salvador many years ago and now owns Velazquez Deli in the same shopping center as La Hija Del Mariachi, said she felt bad for the women.
"They work and live in fear and they have no one to help them," said Velazquez, 40.
Kathy Perrino, 55, who works at the neighboring Family Dollar, said the nearby businesses are happy to see the bars closed.
"I hope they are gone for good," she said. "There were bottles everywhere and drunk men lingering every morning."
Sonidos de la Frontera raised suspicions with drawings of two sexy women emblazoned on the entrance.
"They were up to no good," said Ann Nguy, 37, who works at a nail salon next door.

We know what you're thinking, "someone must've beat the crap out of this woman" -- but according to cops, it was the exact opposite.
This bloody mug shot was taken after Stokes was arrested for domestic violence August 2 at their home in Moreno Valley, CA.
According to law enforcement sources, Sara stormed out of the house after arguing with husband Tony -- she tripped, fell down and accused him of doing it.
We're told Sara -- who hurt her head in the fall -- grabbed a knife and stabbed Tony in the arm -- while their 3 kids watched.
Paramedics and cops came and Stokes was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence. The D.A. is deciding whether to charge her.
Sara's lawyer, Eric Kayira, tells us, "Sara and Tony have a very passionate and loving relationship that on August 2, while having an evening of fun, she slipped and fell, hitting her head heavily on the ground and somehow in the process of helping her Tony got injured."

Eleven years after the British boxing authorities lost the argument against licensing women because they “bruised easily” and were made “unstable” by premenstrual tension, the fairer sex is on the brink of another victory in the equality fight.
Olympic chiefs meeting in Berlin on Thursday are expected to admit women’s boxing to the summer Games with a debut at London 2012.
It would be a landmark moment not only for the International Olympic Committee (IOC), a male-dominated members’ club renowned for oldfashioned attitudes, but for the development of an increasingly popular sport among women and girls not naturally drawn to organised physical activity.
Advocates say that inclusion in the Olympics, where boxing is an amateur sport, is long overdue. It is the sole male-only summer discipline, after the pole vault and 3,000-metre steeplechase featured women at the 2000 and 2008 Games respectively.
Rebecca Gibson, the England women’s boxing development manager, said: “Women should be allowed to have a go at whatever they want. Being an Olympic sport would give women the same aspiration as men.”
The case for women’s boxing is driven by the sport’s international federation as well as Jacques Rogge, the IOC president and a former boxing doctor. A previous effort in 2005 failed after the IOC feared a lack of qualified talent would result in dangerous mismatches. Since then, the number of countries with women at the elite level has risen to 125.
In England the number of registered female boxers has jumped from 50 in 2005 to 642. There are about 670 in Britain. Among them is Hannah Behanny, 22, from London, a double European bronze medallist and 2012 hopeful. She started boxercise aged 17 after being sent to a reform centre for violent behaviour.
In a storyline to mirror the film Million Dollar Baby, she finally convinced a sceptical local coach to drop his male-only policy to train her. “The guys in my gym treat me as an equal but there are still some people stuck in the old school who think it shouldn’t happen,” she said.
“It’s ignorance. It’s the men that get bashed up and bloodied. Women’s boxing is more strategic. I’ve never seen a girl get knocked out.”
The Olympics would bring profile and funding to women’s boxing, which is high on the national fitness agenda. The Government is backing a return of non-contact boxing training to schools.
Women’s boxing first appeared in London in the 1720s and was a demonstration sport at the 1904 Olympics before being banned. The professional ranks in the UK admitted women in 1998 after losing a sex discrimination case brought by Jane Couch, who argued it was no more dangerous for women than men despite a medical expert for the British Boxing Board of Control claiming that they were “too frail”. Ms Couch retired last December, aged 40, with five world titles and is now a promoter.
The British Medical Association still campaigns for a ban on all boxing, male or female, on the ground that it can cause chronic brain damage, which accumulates over a career.
All amateur boxers, male or female, have to wear head and groin guards. Women have the option of wearing breast pads.
Gerry Willmott, a policeman who coaches women in Haringey, said: “Most people who see women’s boxing for the first time are surprised by the technical quality.
“Women don’t have preconceived ideas, so are more prepared to learn the basics. They don’t get in the ring thinking they are Ali or Mayweather.”
The admission of women’s boxing to the Olympics would give heart to the female ski jumpers still barred from the winter Games.
It might also encourage male synchronised swimmers, who were approved by world swimming’s governing body in 2000 but have yet to compete in an Olympics, to eschew stereotypes to make 2012 the first truly gender-neutral Games.

A baby boy born 16 weeks prematurely was declared dead by doctors at a hospital in Paraguay only to wake up in time for his funeral wake hours later.
Dr. Ernesto Weber, head of pediatric care at the state-run hospital in the capital of Asuncion, said the baby weighed just 17.6 ounces when he was born.
"Initially, the baby didn't move, he practically didn't have any respiratory reflexes, nor did we hear a heartbeat and, as a result, we declared a premature fetus of 24 weeks dead," Weber told Reuters Television.
The family was given a death certificate and a cardboard box with the baby's name scribbled on the outside which served as a makeshift coffin.
But when the family took him from the hospital to prepare him for his funeral, the unbelievable happened.
"I opened the box and took the baby out and he cried. I got scared and I said "the baby's crying" ... and then he started moving his arms, his legs and I got scared, we got very scared," said one member of the family, Liliana Alvarenga.
Hours after the baby's death had been declared he was found to be alive. The hospital has begun an investigation and the baby is now in a stable condition in an incubator.

First, the Game attempts to make nice with 50 Cent and G-Unit, apologizing to estranged former crew recently for his behavior. Now is fellow former G-Unit member Young Buck getting in on the act?
Not quite. But the Tennessee rap titan, who was ejected from G-Unit last year, is making amends. In a video interview that circulated online over the weekend, Buck said he's set to refocus on his music career and again and his reemergence won't include any barbs at his old boss.
In fact, like the Game, Buck thanks 50 for giving him his big break.
"My whole strategy for coming back and f---ing with this rap sh-- is the total opposite of what people think I'm gonna do," he said. "I think a lot of motherf-----s think I'mma come out, beef with 50 and holler 'F--- G-Unit!' and all that. I'm not even looking to do it like that. I'm looking to make straight, good music, and do my thing through the music. Win from the hits itself. 'Cause that other sh-- ain't about nothing."
MTV News request for comment to Young Buck's camp had not been granted at press time.
The Southern lyricist said he hopes to forge forward with his own brand. In the past he signed former 2Pac affiliates the Outlawz to his Cashville label. Although he was signed to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, Buck never hid his desire to branch out.
"I'd rather get out here and establish Buck," he continued. " 'Cause everybody establishes themselves. 50 Cent established 50 Cent. 50 Cent established G-Unit. I thank 50 Cent for what he did, giving me the opportunity to establish my talent on a boss base. Where I was able to get myself heard on an international level."
Although Buck downplayed any issues he had with his former crew, he did admit his role in getting himself kicked out of G-Unit. Buck performed with or reconciled with Lil Wayne, Jadakiss and Game on separate occasions, aggravating 50, who at the time was engaged in battles with each camp. The moves eventually led to Buck's ouster.
"Maybe I got out of pocket a little bit," he said. "Because I played a part in it, too. So I can't sit here and act like I never did sh--. I played just as much a part in it as anyone I was with, whether it was 50 or [Lloyd] Banks or [Tony] Yayo, beefing with someone unnecessarily. They had a reason at the time, but when it was all said and done, no one got shot. And nothing came from it."

British’s most watched TV channel has tightened its broadcasting procedures, after an unedited version of Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood reality show aired on the network.
Box Television operates the popular 4Music channel, which airs Snoop’s reality series Father Hood in the United Kingdom.
The show features Snoop, born Calvin Broadus Jr. and his wife Shante, as well as their children Corde (14), Cordell (12) and Cori (9) and cast of other characters.
Father Hood focuses on Snoop Dogg’s domestic life, as opposed to his career as a world famous rap star who has been banned from Australia and the United Kingdom.
Network watchdog Ofcom received hundreds of complaint when an unedited episode aired featuring the chart-topping rapper using the F-word twice during the show.
Ofcom said viewers were very offended by Snoop’s unedited foul language and apologized for the mishap, claiming human error was to blame, as the wrong version was entered into the programming schedule.
4Music aired two apologies for running the unedited version of Father Hood, which Ofcom deemed appropriate, allowing the network to avoid any further penalties.
“Ofcom notes that the broadcast of this language on this occasion occurred as a result of human error,” the organization wrote in its ruling. “While we have concerns about the broadcast of this material, in light of the actions taken by the broadcaster and its good compliance record in this area Ofcom considers this matter resolved.”
