Video After The JumpKanye West premiered his short film 'We Were Once A Fairytale' this past weekend, on his blog. Then suddenly removed it yesterday without an explanation. The film, directed by Spike Jonez shows Kanye drunk to point of making a fool of himself. Hitting on various women who are turned off by his behavior. Then it takes a bizarre turn that is sure to have people scratching their heads, but that's obviously what it is designed to do. My question is, what the hell is Kanye trying to tell us ?

Russian RouletteDef Jam has just announced Rihanna's highly anticipated new album 'Rated R' will be dropping November 23rd. The new single for that album. 'Russian Roulette hit the net today to mixed reviews. The song, produced by singer Ne-Yo is not the uptempo joint most people were expecting and certainly not the club banger producer Tricky Stewart promised would be her 1st single. hiphopwired.com“I always said I don't wanna do this anymore after 35…Anytime between 30 and 35, I might give it up.”The rap game is like sports in the idea that people enjoy playing in the game, but each player mentally has established a time in which they know it will be time to hang everything up and pursue something else. While on tour, rapper Lil Wayne took some time out with Tim Westwood to speak on what will happen once he is no longer rapping and his post-retirement plans.“I'm gonna retire in this and jump into some kind of ownership of a sports team. I'm very heavily into sports, any sport…It doesn't matter it could be basketball or football, it wouldn't matter. I could buy into a baseball team with someone. Those that know Weezy know that outside of the music, he is a sports junky. At the top of the year, the rapper found himself up against Skip Bayles on the “1st and 10” segment of ESPN First Take. He was also on the stations program Around The Horn where he was able to beat out the likes of Woody Paige and Michael Smith to win the episode.Sports might just fit nicely with the New Orleans native.Standing at number 2, right below his rap role model Jay-Z, Weezy has been on speed as he has continued to be on the move and expanding his musical audiences. From breaking out into rock to further developing his Young Money label and artists, one would think that the gas tank would be starting to come real close to E and that Wayne was beginning to hit his peak. For all those that believe that the rapper eater has finally hit his peak, he gives a subtle response.“Nowhere near it. If you ever say that you have reached your peak, the only way you can go is down. So no, I have not hit it at all. I haven't even dropped Rebirth, you haven't even heard Carter IV.”As the rock album has been seen setback from push-backs, it has been hard to stay updated with Wayne on the music side of things. For those waiting for the new album, the reported release date for the upcoming No Ceilings mixtape is scheduled for Halloween.Even though Dedication 3 happened to go the retail route, Wayne assures his fans that this is not meant for purchase so save your dollars.“If you pay for any mixtape of mine, you were jacked.”

In New York City, Olivia Wilde was raised; on the playground was where she spent most of her days. And when the "House" beauty stopped by MTV for a candid chat, she admitted that once upon a time all she wanted to be was the Fresh Prince. Chillin' in the newsroom, relaxing all cool, she told us a story from when she was still in school.
"I was really into hip-hop, and I was really passionate about it," she laughed, remembering her career aspirations at age 8. "I really wanted to [be a rapper]! I was pretty serious. And to my parents' credit, they were so supportive.
"Their only condition was that I take it seriously," remembered the 25-year-old actress. "If I wanted to be a rapper, I had to start performing. And so they said, 'OK, we're going to get the family and friends together, and you're going to perform for everyone.' And my performance tended to always be 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' opening song."
Insert the scratched-record sound effect here. Say what?
"Yes, I would perform that for the entire family," she laughed, remembering the opening song to Will Smith's '90s sitcom. "Along with my own personal beat-boxing."
Pressed to give us a 2009 remix of her classic performance, unfortunately Wilde got a bit hesitant. "That is so not going to happen," she blushed. "It's so much more entertaining when it's an 8-year-old girl than me."
Be sure to check out the rest of Wilde's MTV Rough Cut for more startling revelations from the rising star — who will return to the big screen next year in the feverishly anticipated sequel, "Tron Legacy." Just don't expect her to be belting out any showtunes on her Lightbike.
"I cannot sing," Wilde insisted, reminding us of the old idiom that those who cannot do, learn percussion. "I play the drums.
"We actually like to jam in our house in L.A. We have our instruments set up, and my husband is a really, really fantastic guitarist," Wilde said of her filmmaker/ flamenco-guitarist hubby, Tao Ruspoli, the only person who gets family performances these days. "So, we jam. We're like our own White Stripes — but different.

The Louisiana justice of the peace who caused a national controversy when he denied a marriage license to an interracial couple won't apologize for his actions.
"I'm sorry, you know, that I offended the couple, but I did help them and tell them who to go to and to get married," Keith Bardwell said on CBS' 'The Early Show' Monday.
"And they went and got married, and they should be happily married, and I don't see what the problem is now."
Bardwell, a justice of the peace in the state's Tangipahoa Parish, refused to issue the license to groom Terence McKay, who is African-American, and his white bride-to-be, Beth Humphrey, in early October. The couple was later married by another justice of the peace.
Bardwell, who is white, defended his actions, saying that he was worried about an interracial couple's future children and the hardships they would face.
"I've had countless numbers of people that was born in that situation, and that they claim that the blacks or the whites didn't accept the children," Bardwell told 'Early Show's' Harry Smith. "And I didn't want to put the children in that position."
But calls for his dismissal have continued around the country over the weekend.
"Disciplinary action should be taken immediately -- including the revoking of his license," Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said in a statement Friday.
Bardwell's stance technically violates the 1967 U.S. Supreme Court Loving vs. Virginia ruling that state governments could not place race-based restrictions on marriage. But the official said he is within his legal rights to recuse himself from performing a marriage ceremony.
"It's kind of hard to apologize for something that you really and truly feel down in your heart you haven't done wrong," Bardwell told WAFB on Saturday.

T-Pain’s performance at South Africa’s annual Macufe African Cultural Festival has been lambasted by local artists for the star’s alleged elitist and disrespectful behavior.
Several artists have reported that they were kicked out of the backstage changing area because T-Pain refused to share space with them.
Others stated they were harassed simply for attempting to watch the American star’s set from the vicinity of the stage.
Artist Thembi Seete verified that she had a confrontation with security guards, and feels that the U.S. artists look down on their peers from other countries.
“I want to thank Macufe organizers for allowing me to perform there, but what happened to me was unacceptable,” she explained to the Sunday World. “I wasn’t allowed to stand next to the stage when T-Pain was performing. It is sad that these U.S. artists think they are all that and [can] treat local artists the way they treated us.”
Seete’s manager Kgomo Modise said these issues are nothing new, and happen every time an international star makes their way to the country.
“My artist was seated next to the stage waiting to perform when local security guards came and ordered us to leave the vicinity,” Modise explained to Sunday World. “We asked him why because we had ‘all access’ cards and artists tags but he insisted we leave the place. It was only when we threatened to expose them in the media that they left us alone. It is bad that local artists are treated like this every time an international artist is here.”
Festival organizer Joe Chakela vehemently denied the accusations, but conceded there was a policy in place to make sure no artists remained on stage after a performance.
“People must not come with their own stories. Nobody was manhandled or chased away from the stage,” he stated. “The policy was that artists who had finished performing must not go on stage or near it to watch T-Pain perform.”
T-Pain is working on a new album, tentatively titled Revolver.Read more…

hiphopwired.com“You shouldn't really hold your breath.”While it seemed as though Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson was burying old battles, the laying down of arms must have only extended out to the likes of New York rappers. With rumors continuing to boil to rebuild anticipation for Detox, word began to circulate that Dre had found a way to make peace between The Game and 50 and was even going to have them featured together on a track for his third official return. For those that were thinking that “Hate It Or Love It pt. 2” was on the way, think again, according to Jackson. As it is Dre's project, however, anything could happen. While on the red carpet alongside Wisin Y Yandel for Los Premios MTV Latin America 2009, Jackson kept it short and simple to the only means for the two reuniting.“If Dre decides to work with him, that's Dre's prerogative.”Some wounds don't heal as fast as others and Jackson seems to have no interest in co-existing with The Game, even for something at such a magnitude as Detox.Pushing back his fourth album, Before I Self Destruct, to November 23, the rapper has begun the formula again as he is working on the music video for “Baby By Me” featuring Ne-Yo. There has been word that Destiny's Child's own Kelly Rowland will be the leading lady for the upcoming visual.Known for his ability to shatter records, Jackson has yet another notch to put on his belt. According to ThisIs50.com his episode for Behind the Music was able to gain the highest premiere ratings with 2.2 million viewers. This hasn't been touched since 2000 with the Faith Hill edition. Although it may not be so clear on the music side, 50 was able to topple Lil Wayne and T.I. as it related to their own editions of the VH1 special. With music, water, books and ever expanding business ventures, Jackson has no bounds as he continues to find a way to dominate.

The fate of former Bad Boy rapper Shyne who faces deportation to his homeland Belize after serving eight years in prison for his role in a New York City shooting, rests in the hands of Charles Ogletree - Harvard law professor and President Obama insider.
Professor Ogletree is an associate of Harvard Professor Henry Gates of President Obama's famed beer fest.
Shyne's uncle in Belize, Michael Finnegan, who is a member of parliament and the cabinet controlled by Shyne's father Belize Prime Minister Dean Barrow told the media this weekend that:
"All the lawyers who were dealing with his immigration problems, they are totally off the case now.
"The matter is placed squarely in the hands of Professor Ogletree. All legal options or legal directions or whatever the case may be in terms of legal movements, these are now in the hands of Professor Ogletree.
"He has stepped in totally, he was given permission to deal with the situation in all its aspects. [Shyne's] father who is the Prime Minister is one of the best attorneys in this country and I would want to believe he has total confidence in Ogletree, and I believe the family knows what it is doing."
Shyne's estranged father, the Prime Minister of Belize had earlier this week revealed that on the advice of Charles Ogletree, he had written a letter to New York Governor David Paterson asking for a pardon for his son so that Shyne would be able to remain in the U.S.A. despite current U.S. rules that convicted felons be deported to their homeland at the end of their sentence.
Mr. Michael Finnegan has reiterated that the family in Belize has a backup plan should Shyne be sent back to Belize:
"But as I have said to you before, we are optimistic but if worse comes to worse, we are doing all preparations at my home, to have him be there. All the accommodations and construction is taking place to accommodate him if he has to come home.
"If he has to land here and stay for a little while, it will not be long before he uses Europe to work out from. He will go and live in a European country."
The New York State Department of Corrections records show that Shyne was released from the Woodbourne Correctional Facility on Oct. 6th on parole but his release was subject to immigration review.
Shyne was born in Belize, Central America. As a child, he was reportedly spurned by his father due to his illegitimacy and mixed ethnicity.
The rapper relocated with his mother to Flatbush, in Brooklyn, New York City at about age 13. He never acquired U.S. nationality.
