We're sorry to report that A$AP Yams, real name Steven Rodriguez, has passed away at the young age of 26.
Details of how he died have not been released, but both A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky have confirmed the news via social media.
"You were the brilliant mind, you put us on Game you changed our lives. You changed my life, you changed the world. R.i.P YAMZ there can never be another one after you," Ferg wrote on his Instagram page. "You will be missed Bro. We done touched a lot of ground together. Landed on a lot of different soil!!! You will always be loved & your spirit will live on!!!"
According to the New York Times, Rodriguez met fellow Harlem, New York native Rocky in 2008 and is credited with starting the group A$AP Mob.
“He don’t want to be Puffy,” Rocky told the New York Times. ”He’s the mastermind behind the scenes.”

Former NBA player Greg Anthony has been suspended indefinitely from his job as an analyst for CBS following his arrest on Friday, January 16, for soliciting a prostitute.
The 47-year old was trying to hook up with a streetwalker in the District of Columbia when he was popped around 5:46 p.m. He was taken to a precinct where he was booked and charged. Anthony was released from custody Friday night.
Lt. Kelvin Cusick told The Associated Press that Anthony faces a misdemeanor solicitation charge that's punishable by up to 180 days in jail.
A CBS spokeswoman says "Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season." He was also suspended by Turner Sports.
Anthony played in the NBA for 11 years after being selected in the first round out of UNLV in the 1991 draft by the New York Knicks.

Buckshot shared a personal story about 2Pac during an exclusive interview with VladTV. The Black Moon rapper said that Pac was about to board a flight and had Buckshot and the rest of his crew with him.
The Brooklyn emcee said that Suge Knight wanted 2Pac to fly immediately and leave his crew behind, but the legendary Cali rapper refused. Buckshot said the situation turned tense, but Pac eventually left with his crew, and tore up the tickets.
