Videos After The Jump Benzino recently resurfaced, taking shots at Royce Da 5'9 and Slaughterhouse. In a video shot by the former owner of The Source he addressed the beef and at the end of the clip showed a firearm. Crooked I, 1/4 of the Slaughterhouse crew felt the need to get at Benzino to let him know he needs to either squash the bullsh*t or face the repercussions. In Crooked's words "We on the west coast we aint f*cking around, we not playing around. I'm doing this Slaughterhouse sh*t, that's what the f*ck i'm doing. N*gga if you respect me you gonna stop all that. If you don't it's gonna go where it's gotta go" People may remember Benzino's beef with Eminem from a few years back. This latest drama seems to be an attempt by Benzino to jump back in the limelight and irritate Em at the same time by attacking Royce & Slaughterhouse. It's no secret they are in negotiations to join Shady Records. New Jack Swing pioneer and Blackstreet founder Teddy Riley is denying reports that he assaulted one of his daughters, claiming the allegation is the result of a financial dispute. Riley's 18-year-old daughter Taja filed a temporary restraining order against her father, claiming that she and her older sister were stomped and punched. The Los Angeles court filing also states that Teddy Riley allegedly threatened to kill them while swinging a Rock Band video game guitar. In a prepared statement, Riley explained that he spoiled his children over the years, and his daughter’s legal case is a response to him being a stronger disciplinarian. “I love my daughters, but I will not allow my children to disrespect me in my home. Contrary to what I have been accused of, I would never beat my children,” Riley stated to TMZ.com. “Perhaps, I should have been a stronger disciplinarian as they were growing up. I worked very hard so that my children would want for nothing. In hindsight, I see that it was a mistake to give them everything they wanted so that they could have the childhood I never had. Unfortunately, they have taken me, and the privileged life I have given them, completely for granted.” While not directly addressing specifics from the incident, Riley further alluded to the confrontation happening over some form of disrespect. “Instead of being appreciative and realizing how fortunate they are, my children have an inflated sense of entitlement and expectation without having to work or earn their way,” Riley continued. “However, my 'children' are no longer children, they are adults and I am trying to instill in them values and a work ethic of their own. I am not an uptight Dad, I am as hip as they come but I will not tolerate being taken advantage of or disrespected, especially in my home… I'm asking everyone to let this one go... I'm only being a good parent. I'm a great father and everyone who knows me, knows this is true.” At press time, Teddy Riley has to remain at least 100 yards from his daughter Taja until their January 2010 hearing. A lawsuit filed on behalf of Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday seeking compensatory and punitive damages for defamation of character names Richard Schaefer and Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, as well as Floyd Mayweather. Jr. and Floyd Mayweather Sr., attorney Daniel Petrocelli told FanHouse, moments ago. A senior attorney with the Los Angeles-based O'Melveny and Myers law firm, who gained a wrongful death civil conviction against O.J. Simpson in 1997, Petrocelli was reached within an hour of filing the suit. "We filed a defamation of character lawsuit in the federal court in Las Vegas, Nevada, against the Mayweathers, Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer based on their false and defamatory statements about Manny Pacquiao -- specifically their publicly stating that Pacquiao was taking steroids or other illegal steroids or other illegal drugs to enhance his performance, knowing that there is absolutely no basis for any such assertions," said Petrocelli.

"We may be naming others as well, and may be adding others who have made comments since the lawsuit was filed. These guys have no right saying what they're saying. It's knowingly false, highly injurious," said Petrocelli. "Manny has an absolutely unblemished reputation, and accomplished extraordinary achievements through hard work and preparation," said Petrocelli, " and he can't sit by and allow people to accuse him of cheating because they can't beat him in the ring." In what he calls "my last official statement regarding" these matters, Pacquiao, a seven-division world champion, addressed rumors concerning steroid use, his ability to gain weight, and his view of the drug-testing controversy which appears to have scuttled negotiations for his potential WBO welterweight (147 pounds) title defense against Mayweather. "There seems to be concern from numerous members of the sports industry -- from writers, to reporters, even other athletes, regarding why I am concerned with random blood testing," said Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 knockouts). "As I have stated before I have never used anabolic steroids nor do I even know what they look like. I view using steroids, synthetic growth hormone, or any other illegal or banned substance as cheating. "I would never cheat this sport that I love. I would never cheat the legacies of the great champions I have been blessed to challenge. I would never do anything to cheat such great champions as Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, all of the Mexican warriors that I have been blessed to go into the ring and do battle with." Pacquiao and Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs) were tentatively slated for March 13 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but promoter, Bob Arum, said that the "filing of a [defamation of character lawsuit] on Wednesday in the federal court in Las Vegas "effectively terminates everything. "Dan Petrocelli, one of the senior litigating partners, has filed the suit in Las Vegas," said Arum. "So this is serious stuff." Petrocelli said the suit seeks "compensatory and punitive damages." "No amount of money is specified," said Petrocelli, "but given the damage that these people have already done, it would be in the tens and tens of millions of dollars." Potentially the most lucrative matchup in boxing history, the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout was expected to garner a career-best of nearly $40 million for each fighter. But negotiations became increasingly contentious since they began shortly after Pacquiao's 12th-round knockout of Miguel Cotto on Nov. 14. Mayweather's side had demanded that both fighters be randomly tested for drugs using urinalysis and blood work that could be drawn as close to the fight as possible, while Pacquiao had agreed only to random urine tests, contending that he would prefer not to have blood drawn within 30 days of the fight because taking blood from him that close to the competition would weaken him. "My concern as a fighter is that there should be some limitations and agreements on how much blood they can take from someone prior to a fight. My other concern is how close to the actual fight itself can they take the blood," said Pacquiao. "It is my opinion that taking blood from a person can weaken you. I do not want to be in a weakened state when I enter the ring against any fighter." Pacquiao was, however, found to have had blood drawn 24 days from his May 2, second-round knockout of Ricky Hatton. "My concern has never been with someone randomly checking me with regards to blood or urine. I volunteered immediately to have my urine tested anytime someone wanted to -- all the way up to the time I am walking into the ring," said Pacquiao. "It was later brought to my attention and the attention of my staff that you can not test for synthetic growth hormone through urine; you could only detect synthetic growth hormone through blood tests," said Pacquiao. "Before all of these blood-testing and demands from other people, I had never even heard of synthetic growth hormone. I have never seen it before nor have I ever used it." The 31-year-old Pacquiao, whose career began at 106 pounds, attributes his ability to carry his power from lower to higher weight classes to the fact that "I eat foods that build muscle," and, "I work out hard." "I take my training very serious. I train 30 rounds a day to be in the best shape during a fight so I can give the fans the best show I can. I eat very healthy -- like chicken and fish and a lot of rice," said Pacquiao. "In order to make these new heavier weight classes, I have to eat more then I have ever eaten in my life. I actually have to eat five times a day and bigger meals than I have ever eaten before." Citing "hard feelings," Arum had said that he was prepared to announce New York's newly-crowned, WBA junior middleweight (154 pounds) champion, Yuri Foreman (28-0, eight KOs), as the new opponent for Pacquiao. "This thing [Mayweather fight] is hopeless. We feel that we've been trying, but that this isn't going to happen," said Arum, who also promotes Foreman. "I think that we're going to end up going with Foreman. Although it's not official yet, that's my position at this time," said Arum. "We're going ahead, I'm going to enjoy the New Year, and then, I'll be back in Las Vegas on Saturday night. By Monday, we'll have everything put together." Kid Cudi has never been a rapper that finds it necessary to bring down another rapper in order to promote himself. He is, however, a man that apparently believes in respect and will immediately shut down those that choose to not show him such courtesy. During a show at the House Of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the Man on the Moon spoke on his recent activity involving the assault on a fan that resulted in him being ejected from Lady Gaga's tour. The media has found many different angles and spins to place on the incident so Cudi has found no other alternative but to provide a little clarity and defend himself. "They trying to make me look like the poster boy for violence and ignorance," Cudi said. "I tell motherf*ckers I'm the poster boy for honesty, realness, anarchy, I don't give a f*ck about this business." Almost like a punching bag, the young rapper has been placed under the microscope and beaten by many, being judged for his preference and methods in showcasing his material his own distinct way. What started as a response turned quickly into his own uproar as the rapper proceeded to provide further commentary on the music industry and how his own experiences have forever changed his perceptions on particular artists. "I'm the truest motherf*cker in this business and people trying to destroy me. All these other n*ggas that y'all probably fans of is sucker a** n*ggas, I met them. N*ggas I was a fan of when I was buying their CDs, I'm not a fan of they music no more. This business is WWF fam and if you don't comply, they try to destroy you...I never talk sh*t, I came to this game, just wanted to smoke my weed and motherf*ckers just wanna destroy me, I don't give a f*ck. Maybe the inmates really are running the asylum. A correction officer has been disciplined for dozing on the job after a colleague snapped a picture of her asleep while on post at a Rikers Island infirmary, officials said yesterday. A clearly conked-out Nadja Green is leaning in a chair with her head back, arms folded, eyes closed and mouth open. But even more alarming is an amused inmate seen hovering above her, mere inches from a set of keys that hangs from her belt. The picture was circulated around the department, and a source e-mailed it to The Post. Green was transferred on the island and placed on modified duty watching female inmates. She will face charges of sleeping on the job and other security- and performance-related charges. "We do not expect this type of behavior or performance from our officers, nor do we tolerate it," said city correction spokesman Steve Morello. The officer who took the picture, Claudel Barrau, was also transferred and placed on modified duty. Morello said possession and use of cellphones in jails, even by guards, is prohibited. "They are only allowed to carry a cell into a property locker and not into jail proper," Morello said. "And not where inmates circulate. It's a basic and obvious regulation and this represents a breach." Officials said the embarrassing photo was taken earlier this month in the prison's North Infirmary Command, formerly Rikers Island Hospital, which houses nearly 400 sick prisoners. The facility includes a wing for AIDS patients, one for sex offenders and one for exceptionally violent inmates. The disciplined officers will not be supervising inmates, according to officials. Morello said the picture was brought to the attention of the department's senior management. He said officials do not believe the sleeping officer was ever in any danger. There will be no charges against the inmate in the picture. Green, who turned 30 yesterday, has been on the job 4½ years. She lives in Queens and could not be reached for comment. Barrau, 47, has been on the job 18 years. When approached by a Post photographer at his Long Island home, he asked, "Why are you taking my picture?" A prison source described Green as "the Precious of Corrections," a reference to the movie about a teen from a dysfunctional family. A source said Green had a difficult upbringing and is the mother of several children. The source said she worked 96 hours of overtime this month. A union official said prison authorities should avoid a rush to judgment. "Many correction officers are forced to work 70 to 80 hours of mandatory overtime," said Correction Officer Benevolent Association spokesman Michael Skelly. "Since we don't know the particular circumstances of that particular officer, we are not going to condemn her. She may have been sick. "We believe it was highly suspect for the other officer to take a picture and potentially jeopardize her safety." New York Post Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

The hugely successful singer and actress is ready to conquer the world of women's fragrances with her new perfume 'Beyonce Heat' which will be in stores this February. Industry insiders are estimating it could top $100 million in sales globally in it's first year. Beyonce is very pleased with the finished product, she told WWDBeauty: “I’m so happy with it, I’ve been working on it for a while now. I was on tour for a year, and I have meet-and-greets with fans. I’ve never in my life gotten so many compliments. Coty has their own testing, but that was my testing! The fans loved it. They were like, ‘I love that, I’m getting that, why isn’t it out right now? I need it!Jay-Z's better half worked hand in hand with Givaudan’s Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin to develop the perfume. “This was my first time starting from scratch, although I’ve worked with a few other fragrance projects,” said Knowles, Everything, from the bottle design to the name and the ideas for the commercials — that’s me. When I commit to something, I do it 100 percent, and I’ve never had [creative control over a fragrance] until this project. I learned a lot of great things from the past — but I always asked myself, ‘If I could have my own scent, what would it be?’ I wasn’t worried about deadlines. It could have taken me three, four, however many years — this was my first fragrance, and I wanted to make sure that it was something I would love forever.”

They may have engaged in friendly competition to promote their respective albums in 2007, but an established hotel is utilizing nonmusic-related possessions from Kanye West and 50 Cent to help market itself to wealthy clientele. According to Bloomberg.com the Hollywood home of the G-Unit leader has been used to train staff members at the Cheval Blanc hotel in the French ski town of Courcheve. The rooms cost $67,466.00 per-night.

Cheval Blanc Hotel The hotel, co-owned by LVMH Moet Hennessy and Belgian billionaire Albert Frere, is noted for its grand style and pricey array of services that include a Michelin three-star chef, bedtime chocolates delivered to your room aboard a gondola and “Hair Room Service" by famed barber John Nollet. Rooms range from a basic single room with a maxibar full of Krug Champagne to a 650-square-meter duplex sky ranch to a master bedroom on a fifth-floor super suite that features a gym, private elevator, massage room, sauna, steam room, grand piano, Jacuzzi and a dressing room with eight closets and 84 drawers and shelves. The home of 50 Cent is used by Cheval Blanc chief protocol officer Marie-Claude Metrot to prepare the hotel’s 115 staff members (or “players” as they’re called) to help bring the venue and its assets to life, while catering to their guests every need.

Cheval Blanc In her eyes, the ability for workers to fulfill the fantasies of guests is important in making a stay at the Cheval Blanc more of an experience than anything else. “We deliver dreams,” Metrot said. “We don’t let guests think. We anticipate their desires.” In addition to 50 Cent, Cheval Blanc has drawn support from Kanye West. The Chicago hitmaker created bronze teddy bears to display at the 34-room venue. West and 50 Cent's contributions to Cheval Blanc serve as a contrast to the competitive nature displayed by the rappers in 2007.

Cheval Blanc That year, 50 Cent's Curtis album went head-to-head with West's Graduation to see who could sell the most copies of their respective projects on September 11. West ultimately won the battle, selling 957,000 copies of Graduation on its first week of release. The Curtis album, which included the hit "I Get Money," came up short during the competition, with 691,000 copies sold in its first week. AllHipHop Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

Video After The Jump Lil Wayne must be going through an emotional roller coaster as 2009 draws to a close. Being one of the most successful rappers out right now and head of Young Money Records. Which features two artists in Drake and Nicki Minaj that are as white hot as two rookie emcees could possibly could be are things i'm sure he's quite proud of. However, the rapper born Dwayne Carter has seen his good fortune stall a bit recently as run-ins with the law have caught up with him. In February, Wayne will be sentenced to a year in jail for a gun charge in New York. He is also facing drug possession and weapons charges in Arizona. On top of that, his new rock LP 'Rebirth' has leaked months early and the reviews for the record have been lukewarm at best. None of that mattered last night though (Monday December 28). As the New Orleans native kicked off his 'Farewell For Now' Tour in his hometown. Opening the show with his smash hit "A Milli", Weezy told the crowd "I'm nothing without you" "I hope Lil Wayne will follow in T.I.'s footsteps," said 32-year-old Jed Wright, who brought his 11-year-old stepson to the show as a Christmas present. "T.I. promised to turn his life around. Lil Wayne can do the same thing." Tiger Woods is not the only one who blew big bucks with his image-busting cheating spree. His losses are chump change compared with the up to $12 billion that the scandal has cost shareholders of his big-money sponsors like Nike, AT&T and Gatorade, a study revealed Monday. "Total shareholder losses may exceed several decades' worth of Tiger Woods' personal endorsement income," said study author Victor Stango, a professor at the University of California Davis. The study compared the stock prices of nine Woods sponsors with competitors and the overall market after the scandal erupted last month. Investors in the three sports-related companies - video gamemaker Electronic Arts, Gatorade and Nike - fared the worst, experiencing a 4.3% drop in stock value. On the other hand, Accenture, a global management consulting firm, experienced no measurable ill effects from Woods' fall from grace. Source: NY Daily News Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

The chairman of the Nevada State Athletic Commission has ordered Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. to take immediate out-of-competition urine tests, even as the sides bicker heatedly over a drug-testing policy that threatens to scrap their scheduled March 13 mega-fight in Las Vegas. Nevada Athletic Commission Chairman Pat Lundvall ordered Executive Director Keith Kizer to point Mayweather and Pacquiao to accredited drug-testing labs in the United States and Philippines, respectively, for tests that must be completed by Wednesday, Kizer told The Times. The tests will be paid for by Nevada and are consistent with World Anti-Doping Agency guidelines, Kizer said. "It's a start," Kizer said. "Whether it's the end, I don't know." Kizer was referring to the ongoing argument that the Mayweather and Pacquiao camps are engaged in over how to conduct drug tests. Pacquiao's camp wants to submit two blood tests, one in January, another 30 days before the fight, and another after the bout. Mayweather's camp, after consulting with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency about its protocol, argues that the fighters should be subjected to possible random blood testing until the first bell. On Tuesday, Mayweather's camp issued a prepared statement saying they've already made major concessions on deal points, including the weight limit and gloves, and were hopeful Pacquiao would agree "that many different substances and procedures can only be detected by blood testing." Team Mayweather contends that Pacquiao had blood drawn just 14 days before his May fight against Ricky Hatton. Mayweather's statement also noted Pacquiao won't agree to mediation on the subject by someone as respected as Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.): "Team Mayweather ... is still open to the earlier discussions of having both parties work out a mutually agreeable understanding of the testing, which would be conducted by a mutually-agreed-upon agency." "... As Floyd has already stated, he does not have a problem with the random procedure and will be under the same requirements as Pacquiao. It is simply hard for him to understand why there is reluctance on Pacquiao's part to agree to do the same." -- Lance Pugmire Source: L.A. Times Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper
