Queensbridge, New York rapper and longtime friend of Dave East, Kiing Shooter, has reportedly passed away.
He was recently hospitalized with liver complications, but an official cause of death has not been released. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
Kiing Shooter was 24-years old.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

Clev aka Sun Down Charlie (/ˈ klev/ klev-er emcee/) born Carl R. Brown, is a member of the group AudibleSol. Born in Mt. View California, raised in East San Jose with deep Midwest ties and roots to Cleveland Ohio. Music runs deep in his family blood line. His father Carl Brown Sr. was a member of The Hepsters, one of the most exciting groups of Cleveland Ohio’s 1950’s doo-wop era and inducted into the State of Cleveland’s Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
The five fellows got together at East Technical High School and would practice their harmonies in the schools’ hallways loving the echo effects. Their lineup consisted of Paul Hayes, Carl Brown, Raymond Harvin, Joe Little Williams, and a fifth member whose name nobody remembers. They cut popular records such as “I Had To Let You Go”, “Rockin’ And Rollin’ With Santa Claus,” in 1955, and “I Gotta Sing The Blues” b/w “This-A-Way,” in 1956, on Chicago’s Ronel Records. “I Had To Let You Go.
Clev cut his teeth in the hip hop world as a b-boy break dancing in local San Jose groups, then later as a promoter as part of Wallace-Brown Entertainment. He promoted dance competitions under the “World War III” moniker. The competitions would draw some of the dopiest dance crews in the bay area as well as have headliners of then underground artist like “Souls of Mischief”, “Lords of the Underground” and “Pharcyde.”
The success of the shows became so large that he started creating and promoting larger concerts. Lodi Dodi concert series featured “Too short”, “Domino”, “Celly Cel”, “Lisette Melendez” and “Lighter Shade of Brown” toured from San Jose to Tucson AZ. Working with the likes of Davey D and Jeff Clanagan which inspired him to further his business ambitions. The love of hip hop inspired him to write spoken word poetry and short play productions. However, it was after writing and performing at his church did he desire to rap and record hip hop music.
He would begin to write, freestyle in rhyme ciphers and perform within San Jose’s underground scene. The art of making music always has been his passion and the opportunity to do it on a full-time basis, seemed to always be put on hold due to a desire to be a successful business man. “The Maze of Life” was Clev’s first album release. Promoted as a “Christian” hip hop album, it featured some of the pioneers of Gospel Rap like Soup the Chemist, B-Twice of the Brainwashed project, Peace 586. Natural Method was atop the Christian charts for six plus weeks.
Clev, met Epik as he was out promoting, performing and working with the youth at a church functions. The highlight coming during his missionary journey to Ethiopia and performing for 1500 kids as part of a youth conference. A couple years after returning to the states, exchanging freestyles and breaking bread. Epik became a hype man for Clev alongside Dj Shep on the turntables.
Performances at coffee shops, churches and fairs kept the team busy. So much so, the team decided to form a group known today as AudibleSol. It means “to allow our souls to be heard out loud” and our name embodies our vision and purpose. The group dope performances caught the attention of a local production company, who offered a production deal in 2004 to produce more content. The deal didn’t fully pan out & the trio became a duo, but the grind didn’t stop.
That passion, drive and belief produce two projects, the first being “Hustle is Capital” released in 2008 released independently and available for purchase on iTunes. The second project released in 2011 “More Hustle More Capital” released independently and available for purchase on iTunes and streaming on all platforms. Videos on YouTube as well as live performances.
After several years of performing in the Bay Area and various venues in Los Angeles, Clev is ready to create music that reaches a worldwide audience, perform and gain mainstream exposure. The music written by Clev is influenced by his faith spirituality, hustle, ties to East San Jose, Cleveland Ohio, and travels around the globe. His style of music is one of lyricism, passion, uplifting and street for music enthusiast and followers eventually brokering a partnership deal with a major label for distribution for AudibleSol featuring Clev & Epik. An NYPD cop making an arrest in the East Village for a social distancing violation threatened a bystander with a Taser and then punched him to the ground, startling video shows.
The video, which has spread quickly on social media, shows officers making an arrest on 9th St. and Avenue D just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday when one cop gets up, draws his Taser and approaches a bystander while yelling, “Move the fuck back right now... Don’t flex.”
Police said the bystander, 33-year-old Donni Wright, had been ordered to disperse but he instead “took a fighting stance.”
The plainclothes cop, identified by sources as Officer Francisco Garcia, holstered his Taser and grabbed Wright, punching him multiple times in the face and body and then using his leg to pin him to the ground by the neck.
Mayor de Blasio blasted Garcia in a tweet Sunday evening.
“Saw the video from the Lower East Side and was really disturbed by it,” he wrote. “The behavior I saw in that video is simply not acceptable.”
Garcia has since been placed on modified desk duty and stripped of his gun and badge, according to police sources.
The mayhem began when cops approached a group not following social distancing mandates aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus. Some of the group dispersed but others refused to, cops said, and responding officers found a large amount of marijuana in open view, according to police.
The owner of the marijuana immediately became aggressive, according to cops and a woman with him tried to intervene in the arrest.
That’s when Wright, watching the chaotic arrests unfold, was told to scram but refused to, according to cops.
But Daquan Owens, who filmed the video with his cellphone, told the Daily News the attack on Wright was totally uncalled for.
“The guy that just got slammed to the floor and punched, he was just standing there saying, ‘They didn’t do nothing,’ and actually they didn’t do nothing," Owens said.
“Nothing was going on, nothing provoked the cop. He just got up, pulled his Taser out,'” Owens added. “The cop, I guess he was frustrated and took his frustration out on the guy.”
Wright was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer, menacing, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, and two counts of disorderly conduct.
The man and woman initially being arrested, Shakiem Brunson, 31, and Ashley Serrano, 22, were both hit with a slew of charges including resisting arrest, weapon possession and disorderly conduct. Brunson was also charged with marijuana possession.
All three were awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court Sunday evening.
During a coronavirus press conference on Sunday, NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said the NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau was investigating.

Two cops smashed Darren McFadden's car windows and later pointed both a gun AND taser at the ex-NFL RB during his 2019 arrest ... and the intense standoff was all captured on new police video obtained by TMZ Sports.
The former Dallas Cowboys star was found asleep at the wheel of a Whataburger drive-thru in McKinney, Texas on January 21, 2019 ... and you can see in the video, cops did everything they could to wake him up.
One of the officers beats on the windows of McFadden's 2019 GMC Yukon repeatedly with his fist and flashlight ... before he eventually decided to rock the car back and forth.
But, the motion caused McFadden's foot to slip off the brake and onto the gas pedal ... and that's when things took a scary turn.
McFadden's ride nosedived into the side of the fast-food restaurant ... and in an effort to get Darren to wake up and stop the car, officers smashed the hell out of his windows.
Eventually, the officers were able to bust through and get the car to stop ... but that's when 32-year-old McFadden became combative -- and fought the cops.
In the video, you can see Darren got in a big-time struggle with THREE different officers ... before they eventually pointed both a gun and a taser at him to stop him from advancing.
Thankfully, before the taser or gun was fired ... McFadden gave up and was taken to the ground and handcuffed.
The former NFL player eventually got jail time over the incident after prosecutors hit him with charges of resisting arrest and DWI with a BAC of greater than or equal to .15.
As we previously reported, McFadden agreed to a deal in February 2020 in which he pleaded guilty to drunk driving in exchange for having the resisting arrest charge dismissed.
McFadden was ordered to spend 4 days in jail, although he did receive credit for 1 day of time served. He was also forced to pay fines and fees ... and his driver's license was suspended for 90 days.
Darren -- the former No. 4 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft -- rushed for 5,421 yards in his 10-year NFL career, scoring 28 total rushing touchdowns.

CNN host Don Lemon made a powerful soliloquy to the TV camera on Sunday night, accusing Donald Trump of being obsessed with Barack Obama after Trump again retweeted a conspiracy theory about his Oval Office predecessor. Lemon called it “a new low from a president who goes low all the time,” and praised former President George W. Bush, who sent a message urging unity among Americans. Trump responded by attacking Bush on Twitter. Lemon, in a clip now going viral on Twitter, faced the camera and, addressing Trump directly, said: “What is it about President Obama that really gets under your skin? Is it because he’s smarter than you? Better educated? Made it on his own—didn’t need Daddy’s help? Wife is more accomplished? Better looking? I don’t know, what is it, what is it about him? That he’s a black man that’s accomplished being president? That he punked you on the whole birth certificate thing? What is it about him? Just wondering.”
