Video After The Jump

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez heaped praise on countless teens who punked Donald Trump and his campaign Saturday night in a big, big way.

Trump and co. had been touting that huge crowds -- 100,000 strong -- would show up for his Tulsa rally, yet he couldn't even fill a 19,000 seat arena ... it was only 2/3 full.

Enter TikTok users and K-pop fans, who started their own campaign, registering for tickets to the Trump rally with obviously no intention of going. This is why, in part, the Trump campaign bragged 1 million people had registered.

AOC was beside herself, saying ... "you just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok who flooded the Trump campaign w/ fake ticket reservations & tricked you into believing a million people wanted your white supremacist open mic enough to pack an arena during COVID. Shout out to Zoomers. Y’all make me so proud."

TikTok ... where some campaigns happen, and some don't.

Born on May 2, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland, Brian “Biggz” Booth was determined to develop his creative abilities from his early childhood, and winning the “Best Drawing Award” from the Maryland Institute of Art at just 7 years old cemented his love for the arts and made his first commercial on the reasons young students should learn art, showing his ability to draw and paint. By the age of 12, Biggz moved to Virginia Beach, VA where he founded and developed a rap group, “The Street Team” where he led the creation of instrumentals and sound design. In no time the group began touring and performing, landing their first record deal with the Hood Platinum Record Label. After studying Audio Engineering and the Business of Music under Hip Hop pioneers, Double XL and CEO P, Biggz signed the artists from the rap group (Awax, Dallis, T. Butts, & Don Rashawn) to his own ”Major Movement'' label. They opened for legendary acts such as Jim Jones, Big Country Kanx, Mulage, and OJ Da Juiceman. After a 5 year run, Biggz dissolved the label to open a studio in Virginia Beach, "Black Vinyl Recordings" where he recorded major artists such as Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Lil Boosie, Earthgang, and Moneybagg Yo, to name a few. This entrepreneurial endeavor allowed his audio engineering career to skyrocket which landed him a full-time position at Thomas Crown Recording Studios owned by super-producer, Timbaland. At the age of 25, Brian began rapping again, and started a rap group called “World Order”. They opened for artists such as Trae da Truth, Little Debbie, Stylez P, Slaughter House, Ginuwine, King Los, Twista, Mystical, Scarface, Kirko Bangz, Stitches and Slim Jesus. Brian currently owns the “Prime Records” record label within the DNA Recording Studio in Virginia Beach, VA. The idea of the name “Prime Records” derived from the definition: “of the best quality: excellent”, exemplifying the sound quality he consistently provides for his clients. In May of 2020, Biggz’s engineering work with EarthGang and J.I.D. caught the attention of BeatStars, the premiere online marketplace for beat makers and has since entered a joint publishing venture with BeatStars and SONY/ATV publishing.

Biggz’s future goals include providing guidance to developing artists through the

competitive music business. He is also focused on perfecting his craft as a multitalented producer-engineer and elevating the Prime Records brand through his numerous business ventures.

Comedian D.L. Hughley had some sort of medical emergency Friday night ... he was performing at a Nashville club when he went limp and passed out cold.

D.L. was performing at Zanies Comedy Club and a sold out crowd was enjoying his jokes when suddenly, at around 11 PM, it appeared something was amiss. His speech became labored. A security guard handed D.L. a bottle of water, and a minute later he just passed out cold while he was leaning against a stool.

The comedian's manager was at the ready and grabbed D.L. to break his fall. The manager carried him off stage and that was it ... no one told the crowd what happened, but it was serious enough for an ambulance and fire truck to show up. D.L. was put on a stretcher and taken to a nearby hospital.

His rep tells TMZ ... he was "suffering from exhaustion after all the week's work and travel, and was kept overnight at the hospital for tests under doctor's orders. He is awake and feeling better, and wishes to thank everyone for the very kind prayer and thoughts."

Three years after Prodigy's passing it still doesn't seem real that he's not here in the physical form. He painted pictures with words and wasn't afraid to tackle controversial topics.

He didn't let sickle cell anemia define him or his legacy. Instead, Prodigy fought through the pain, continuing to bless hip hop fans with knowledge and quotables.

As both 1/2 of Mobb Deep with Havoc and a solo artist, Bandana P, will go down in history as one of the greatest emcees to ever touch a mic.

Who could forget songs like "Hell on Earth," "Survival of the Fittest," "Shook Ones, Pt. II," "Keep It Thoro," "The Learning (Burn)," "Mac 10 Handle," "Quiet Storm," "It's Mine," "Give Up the Goods (Just Step)," "Crawlin," "Got It Twisted," "G.O.D. Pt. III" and countless others?

The albums "The Infamous," "Hell on Earth," "Murda Muzik," "H.N.I.C." "Infamy," "Return of the Mac" and "H.N.I.C. 2" are all classics imo.

Prodigy left behind lots of unreleased material. Hopefully, we will get to hear a new Mobb Deep album or posthumous solo project in the near future.

Rest in peace Prodigy, you are truly missed.

Eric Johnson, also known as Wavy Banx is a Greensboro, North Carolina native currently residing in Atlanta, GA.

After graduating from college in North Carolina, Banx wasn’t surrounded around much motivation. Many of his childhood friends either turned to drugs or the streets, so Banx had to make a decision on the type of person who he wanted to become.

Isolating himself, he began to pursue and practice music as a way to channel his frustrations. Many people who graduated knew what they wanted to do, but it just wasn’t the same for Banx. Music opened up another avenue for him to express himself.

He practiced the craft by taking up freestyling and other styles of music. He also found lots of inspiration from his childhood when his dad would send him CDs to listen to while he was deployed. Fast-forward, Banx has released a few singles to the public and plans to release more music and videos to garner the attention of industry heads.

When asked about his inspiration, he says he’s inspired by many artists but most importantly, Lil Wayne, Tupac, and Juicy J. Versatility is important to Banx, so he says he loves to create music that can put you into various moods. He plans to release his first project “Rachet and Rewarding” and also plans to roll-out more content for his growing fanbase.

“This year, I’m going to make people feel me.  Just watch.

Chicago rapper Tray Savage was shot to death Friday morning while he was driving in Chatham on the South Side.

The 26-year-old had just dropped off his girlfriend in the 8100 block of South Evans Avenue about 11 a.m. when shots rang out, Chicago police said.

Hit in the neck and shoulder, Savage continued driving, striking three cars, police said. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Kentray Young, which is Savage’s birth name. Savage lived in the same neighborhood where he was shot.

Witnesses reported seeing a white SUV, possibly a Mazda, in the area at the time of the shooting, police said. That vehicle was last seen on Cottage Grove Avenue.

No one is in custody. Area Two detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.

Savage was an associate of rapper Chief Keef and part of Keef’s Glo Gang collection of recording artists. Savage’s 2014 single, “Trap,” was described by the website Hot New Hip Hop as “precisely the kind of hard-hitting street anthem that enthusiasts have come to love and expect from these Chicago emcees.”

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Louisville’s mayor said Friday that one of three police officers involved in the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor will be fired.

Mayor Greg Fischer said interim Louisville police Chief Robert Schroeder has started termination proceedings for Officer Brett Hankison. Two other officers remain on administrative reassignment while the shooting is investigated.

Fischer said officials could not answer questions about the firing because of state law. He referred all questions to the Jefferson County attorney’s office.

Taylor, who was black, was shot eight times by officers who burst into her Louisville home using a no-knock warrant during a March 13 narcotics investigation. No drugs were found at her home.

A letter the chief sent to Hankison said the officer violated standard operating procedures when he “wantonly and blindly fired 10 rounds into the apartment of Breonna Taylor.”

The letter says he fired the rounds “without supporting facts” that the deadly force was directed at a person posing an immediate threat.

“In fact, the 10 rounds you fired were into a patio door and window which were covered with material that completely prevented you from verifying any person as an immediate threat or more importantly any innocent persons present,” the letter states.

“I find your conduct a shock to the conscience,” Schroeder said in the letter. “Your actions have brought discredit upon yourself and the Department.”

Sam Aguiar, an attorney for Taylor’s family said the move was overdue.

“It’s about damn time. It should have happened a long time ago, but thankfully it’s at least happening now,” Aguiar said.

SHREVEPORT, La. -- A Shreveport man who initially told Shreveport police he shot a man early Friday morning as he attempted to get into his vehicle now faces a homicide charge after investigators say he made up the story.

Christopher Dooley, 31, of the 1200 block of Commerce Street, is charged with second-degree murder and illegal possession of stolen things.

The deadly encounter happened just after 1 a.m. at the Texaco convenience store in the 2600 block of Hollywood Avenue. Early reports from Shreveport police indicated a man who was at the store said he shot a man that he thought was trying to steal his vehicle.

The victim suffered multiple gunshots and was taken to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he later died.

Investigators secured video footage of the incident that "showed that Dooley did not act in self-defense," police said in a news release. Detectives also said the vehicle Dooley was in did not belong to him. It was reported stolen out of Texas.

Dooley is also known as rapper Hurricane Chris, the godson of former state Rep. Barbara Norton.

He had some success with his debut single, “A Bay Bay,” which reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 2007.
