The Black Lives Matter movement is going after Kanye West for the controversial "White Lives Matter" shirt he wore to his YZY Show, saying it's nothing but a stunt to hurt folks fighting for justice.
In a statement to TMZ, BLM says ... "While some may see Kanye and Candace's stunt as a distraction, we recognize that it harms thousands of families fighting for justice for their loved ones killed by state-sanctioned violence."
BLM's also ripping Candace Owens -- who also wore the shirt -- for what they view as spreading "toxic confusion" ... claiming the shirts, and phrasing, can be "used to legitimize violent assaults on Black people."
Kanye should know better, BLM says, telling us ... "Kanye knows very well that 'white lives' have never been targeted for oppression. Black folks, in contrast, are at the bottom of virtually every economic, social, and political measure because of centuries of individual and institutional racism."
For his part, Kanye says he wore the "White Lives Matter" shirt at his fashion show because he thinks BLM "was a scam."
Naturally, BLM disagrees ... they say the movement will benefit everyone in the long run because "when Black people get free, everybody gets free."

Kanye West seems to be saying he wore a "White Lives Matter" shirt because, in his mind, Black Lives Matter is nothing but a racket.
Ye took to IG to respond to all the blowback he's been getting -- and it's been A LOT -- over a shirt he & his Yeezy models were rocking during his fashion show Monday ... which had the controversial message plastered across the back.
Ye says, "EVERYONE KNOWS THAT BLACK LIVES MATTER WAS A SCAM NOW ITS OVER YOU'RE WELCOME."
What he's referring to, it seems, is the fact that a small handful of BLM executives who've been caught in alleged scandals over the past couple years -- including 1 honcho accused last month of siphoning $10 million from donors & another who's been accused of using BLM funds to buy a house.
Candace Owens -- who was also on hand Monday for Ye's show, wearing the shirt too -- has been one of many critics on the right who've latched onto this, despite denials from the BLM execs & it would appear Kanye's skeptical too.
There's more ... KW also went after one specific person who criticized him because of his fashion choice/political statement -- a contributing editor for Vogue named Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who called his shirt "dangerous" & "irresponsible" in a well-thought-out analysis.
His response was more simple & quite frankly childish ... making fun of her wardrobe. He posted a photo of her, roasting her shoewear, saying -- "I KNOOOOOOW ANNA [Wintour] HAAAATES THESE BOOTS."
Kanye went on to say ... "This is not a fashion person. You speak on Ye. Ima speak on you. Ask Trevor Noah."
Gabriella doesn't seem to have responded to Ye's barbs just yet ... but she was far from the only blue checkmark to have blasted him for his stunt. Kanye was trending all day because of it -- with many recalling other controversial statements, including his infamous suggestion, while on "TMZ Live," that slavery was a choice ... not to mention all the MAGA stuff from over the past few years.

Three U.S. Postal Service workers stole credit cards from the mail while on the job & bought more than $1.3 million in designer duds & accessories to sell online, Manhattan federal prosecutors said.
Chanel, Fendi, Hermes & Dior were the brands of choice.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said the workers’ “brazen criminal conduct” began in December 2018.
The scam saw them “manipulate credit card companies & major retailers across New York & New Jersey by stealing credit cards and using those cards to purchase & subsequently sell, luxury goods,” Williams said.
Postal workers Nathanael Foucault, Johnathan Persaud & Fabiola Mompoint allegedly swiped the cards & handed them off to 5 associates or “shoppers” who bought the luxury clothes & bags at department stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn & New Jersey.
Foucault, Mompoint & Persaud are facing charges of access device fraud, bank fraud & other related crimes.
The accused “shoppers,” Rahsaan Richards, Devon Richards, Conrad Heron, Louis Jeune Verly & Kareem Shepherd, are still at large, federal officials said. As was Johnny Damus, who directed them to buy what he resold on LuxurySnob.com, which describes itself as an online store specializing in “pre-owned luxury items.”

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Officials say that a 6-year-old boy was killed after he was run over 3 times by a man who told police that he had been drinking on Saturday evening.
Pedro Alberto Hernandez, 52, is charged with murder & DWI 4th offense.
According to records, the boy was with his grandfather walking across a parking lot when he was struck.
The grandfather yelled at Hernandez, who then allegedly stopped, backed up & then ran over the child again, causing one of the tires to rest on the face of the child, as stated in records.
The grandfather continued shouting & Hernandez was again accused of running over the child for the third time.
The boy's grandfather told police that Hernandez reportedly smirked at him & attempted to drive off. The grandfather pulled Hernandez from his car & pinned him against the hood until other witnesses held Hernandez down until police arrived.
Hernandez admitted to drinking four 16-ounce beers while parked at work before driving to a washateria where he was going to meet someone who owed him money.
This would not be the first time Hernandez is accused of drinking & driving.
Records indicate he was convicted of driving while intoxicated in Harris County in 2015, convicted of DWI in Freestone County in 2016 & also convicted of DWI in Fort Bend County in 2020.
He is still serving 5-year probation for the 2020 DWI conviction.
Hernandez appeared in probable cause court Sunday, where a judge set his bond to a combined $600,000 for both charges.

Kim Kardashian has agreed to pay a $1.26 million fine after federal regulators said she unlawfully promoted a cryptocurrency on Instagram without disclosing the sum she was paid for the promotion, Securities and Exchange Commission officials announced Monday morning.
Federal regulators said the reality TV star failed to disclose she was paid $250,000 to publish an Instagram post about EMAX tokens, a crypto asset offered by EthereumMax.
She shared the post in June last year, asking her millions of followers: “ARE YOU INTO CRYPTO??? THIS IS NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE BUT SHARING WHAT MY FRIENDS JUST TOLD ME ABOUT THE ETHEREUM MAX TOKEN.”
The post included a link to EthereumMax’s website, which had instructions for potential investors to purchase EMAX tokens, the SEC statement said.
In doing so, she violated the anti-touting provision of federal securities law, it said.
Kardashian agreed to pay $1.26 million in penalties, which includes her promotional payment & to cooperate with the commission's investigation “without admitting or denying the SEC’s findings.”
She also agreed to not promote any crypto assets for 3 years, according to officials.
“This case is a reminder that, when celebrities or influencers endorse investment opportunities, including crypto asset securities, it doesn’t mean that those investment products are right for all investors,” SEC Chair Gary Gensler said. “We encourage investors to consider an investment’s potential risks & opportunities in light of their own financial goals.”
An attorney for Kardashian said the star is “pleased to have resolved this matter with the SEC.”

Los Angeles, CA — Down at the furthermost point of the Caribbean, you will find enchanting islands with crystal-blue waters and a trove of hidden gems.
