Errol “EJai” Allen is a Hip Hop singer-songwriter who was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Hanover, Jamaica. Having been involved with music from a young age, EJai learned how to play the drums beating on his mom’s refrigerator, sang in the church choir, and competed in the JCDC musical arts festival as a child (attaining a number of medals in the process as well).

In 2016, Christine Jacobsen decided to take an at-home DNA test because she was curious about her heritage.
"I expected the results to show that nearly all of me was Danish," Jacobsen, who was 64 at the time of her Ancestry.com test. But to her shock, her pie chart estimated that a quarter of her DNA came from West Africa. The Ancestry matches she received were far too distant to help find any close relatives.
So 2 years later, she did a similar test using 23andMe, which matched her with a Black woman the company identified as a likely first cousin. The women compared their shared DNA & set up a family tree, quickly concluding that her biological father was brothers with the woman's father.
"It was the '50s and '60s & my parents were liberal progressives," she said. They would often put her to bed without a babysitter & then head out to listen to jazz in Harlem. Sometimes they'd tell her they were having "friends sleep over,."
In her mid-teens, Jacobsen realized that the sleepovers were swingers parties — events at which married or partnered people have casual sex with others.
Traditionally, a swinging couple "is supposed to be in the swinging event together & it's supposed to cement or unify their relationship."
But Jacobsen said that when she was a teen, her mother broke the rules of swinging by having a relationship with another participant. Her mom's lover & confidant would "hang out" at their home.
One night in 1968, she had a fierce argument with the man, whom she recalls exclaiming: "What do you know? You don't even know that your father's Black!"
Jacobsen said her mother started screaming. "Oh my God, you promised you'd never tell."

CHICAGO (Fox32 Chicago) - A Maywood man is facing charges after he was shot by police Wednesday when he entered a Lawndale district station & began pointing a BB gun at officers.
Terrick Bland, 43, was charged with 5 felony counts of aggravated assault of a peace officer & 1 count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
At about 12:52 p.m., Bland entered the 10th District station located at 3315 W. Ogden Ave.,
Chicago Police Supt. David Brown said Bland was mumbling & ranting in the lobby of the facility.
"Officers see that the offender has a plastic bag wrapped in his hand and one of the officers immediately sees what appears to be a barrel of a gun protruding from the wrapped plastic bag that the offender is holding in his hand," Brown said.
Police said Bland began shouting anti-police sentiments & then brandished a gun, pointing it at officers & civilian employees who were working the front desk.
Shots were then fired at Bland by 3 officers.
Bland was struck in the arm & transported to Mount Sinai Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where he was listed in stable condition.
No officers or civilian employees were wounded.
COPA said a body camera captured the initial interaction and the shooting. Video of the shooting will be posted within 60 days of the incident.
Bland is scheduled to appear in bond court Friday.

More than a dozen people have been arrested & more are being sought in connection with a more than $1 million car theft ring in Miami-Dade.
After months of investigating, Miami-Dade Police said they've made multiple grand theft arrests of a group of criminals who they said have been selling stolen cars.
Miami-Dade Det. Luis Sierra said months ago the police department's Sea Port Operations detectives received a call of cars being shipped out of the state that were possibly stolen.
After investigating, they realized the cars had altered vins. The cars were rented out or sold & in some cases even sold to dealerships.
"It's been a very organized group of criminals that have been renting out cars and getting cars by other means & re-vinning them & in fact trying to re-sell them to dealerships throughout the state & throughout the country," Sierra said. "It’s been several cars, a bit over $1 million in automobile sales."
The stolen cars with falsified titles were sold at the AutoNationa Ford in Miami, the AutoNation Chevrolet in Coral Gables & a CarMax in Doral.
"AutoNation fully supports law enforcement’s efforts to investigate and prosecute any form of fraud related to motor vehicles, titling & affiliated records. We want to make sure consumers are protected,' AutoNation said.
"Goes to show you we are in Miami & unfortunately there is a lot of fraud here," Sierra said. "How they were able to sell these cars & make them legit is something that we are still trying to figure out."

NEW YORK (AP) — President Joe Biden is declaring that the risk of nuclear “Armageddon” is at the highest level since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, as Russian officials speak of using tactical nuclear weapons after suffering massive setbacks in the 8-month invasion of Ukraine.
Biden said Thursday night that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “a guy I know fairly well” & the Russian leader is “not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons.”
Biden added, “We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy & the Cuban Missile Crisis.” He suggested the threat from Putin is real “because his military is — you might say — significantly underperforming.”
U.S. officials for months have warned of the prospect that Russia could use weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine as it has faced strategic setbacks on the battlefield, though Biden’s remarks marked the starkest warnings yet by the U.S. government about the nuclear stakes.
Still, nothing has changed in U.S. intelligence assessments that in recent weeks have shown no evidence that Putin has imminent plans to deploy nuclear weapons.
Biden was conveying that the White House sees Putin’s rhetoric as “reckless and irresponsible” & is taking it seriously, the official said. The official added that Biden’s remarks are in line with warnings he’s made in speeches at the U.N. General Assembly & that other senior administration officials have made recently.
Biden also challenged Russian nuclear doctrine, warning that the use of a lower-yield tactical weapon could quickly spiral out of control into global destruction.
“I don’t think there is any such a thing as the ability to easily use a tactical nuclear weapon & not end up with Armageddon."

ARLINGTON, Va. - FOX 5 has learned that Kent Carter - a prominent community leader and realtor from Arlington - was killed while on vacation in Turks and Caicos. The Arlington County NAACP confirms Carter was killed when a vehicle he was traveling in was ambushed.
Police in Turks and Caicos say the car was on its way back from an excursion when a group of men with guns opened fire on the vehicle - killing Carter - an innocent bystander.
Trevor Botting is the police commissioner in Turks and Caicos.
"These criminals began to indiscriminately shoot into the vehicle," Botting said in a recorded statement posted Monday.
Botting says a van Carter was riding in was attacked by gunmen. Carter was killed & a staff member was injured.
Later, police found the vehicle involved & had a shootout with the gunmen — who were armed with automatic weapons.
Police believe 1 of the gunmen died during that shootout.
Carter spent time in executive leadership at the NAACP of Arlington County & was on the county’s police practices working group.
He was also an accomplished realtor.
Rachel Saathoff was a customer who says he was great to work with.
"I know that he has a young daughter, and I have a kiddo that lives with me as well & we definitely bonded around that," Saathoff said.
Police in Turks and Caicos are still investigating the shooting & looking for gunmen.
The police commissioner there says this was an indiscriminate shooting, linked to the drug supply & is fueled by revenge, turf wars & retribution.

ABOUT
Greg McNeal, also known as Money, was originally born in the Henry Horner projects to two beautiful, loving parents, George and Sharon. Despite growing up in a loving home, Money was acquainted with gun violence early. His parents eventually moved to the west side of Chicago to shield him from the ensuing violence.
However, it was during this time when 14-year-old Money ended up becoming the top dog of a profitable drug network- an act that followed with him serving five years in custody.
Eventually relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, Realionare Money decided to fix his life’s ways. He is currently working on his third gym, has opened three restaurants (Hybrid Fit Food), and has written a book, “Background Check.” He is also running an apparel line, ‘REALIONAIRE LIFESTYLE,’ and an herb line, Realionaire Nutrition, amongst several other ventures.
