Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are not, and will probably never be friends. Sure, they have done business together with Floyd fighting for Oscar's Golden Boy Promotions over the years, but that was mostly because of GBP's former chief executive, Richard Schaefer.
When Schaefer resigned in June of 2014, there was no longer a buffer between De La Hoya and Mayweather, who severed business ties shortly afterwards.
Maybe De La Hoya is still angry about the parting of ways or never got over the fact that he lost a spit decision to Mayweather when they fought on May 5, 2007. Whatever the reason, he decided to reignite their feud in a newPlayboy interview.
He said, among other things that "the fight game will be a better one without" Mayweather in it. Read an excerpt from the interview below.
Let’s face it: You were boring. Just take a look at your most recent performance, your last hurrah in the ring, a 12-round decision against Andre Berto. How to describe it? A bust? A disaster? A snooze fest? An affair so one-sided that on one judge’s card Berto didn’t win a single round? Everyone in boxing knew Berto didn’t have a chance. I think more people watched Family Guy reruns that night than tuned in to that pay-per-view bout. But I didn’t mind shelling out $75 for the HD broadcast. In fact it’s been a great investment. When my kids have trouble falling asleep, I don’t have to read to them anymore. I just play them your Berto fight. They don’t make it past round three.
Another reason boxing is better off without you: You were afraid. Afraid of taking chances. Afraid of risk. A perfect example is your greatest “triumph,” the long-awaited record-breaking fight between you and Manny Pacquiao. Nearly 4.5 million buys! More than $400 million in revenue! Headlines worldwide! How can that be bad for boxing? Because you lied. You promised action and entertainment and a battle for the ages, and you delivered none of the above. The problem is, that’s precisely how you want it. You should have fought Pacquiao five years ago, not five months ago. That, however, would have been too dangerous. Too risky. You’ve made a career out of being cautious. You won’t get in the ring unless you have an edge. Sure, you fought some big names. But they were past their prime. Hell, even when we fought in 2007—and I barely lost a split decision—I was at the tail end of my career. Then later you took on Mexican megastar Saúl “Canelo” -Álvarez, but he was too young and had to drop too much weight.
I think he's jealous -- jealous. The thing is this, I mean, you see Richard Schaefer is gone. Richard Schaefer built Golden Boy. Honestly, who wants to do business with Oscar De La Hoya? I really care about a fighter's well-being. I'm just saying if Miguel Cotto was my fighter, if Canelo was my fighter, they'd be a lot bigger than they are now.
Mayweather even brought up his rival's cocaine addiction and cross dressing past.
I'm just saying how can Oscar even speak on something when he didn't even show up? He didn't show up at the Canelo fight. What are we talking about? Drugs, lies and adultery. And dressing in drag. Me, as a fighter, I'm just saying, if I was a young fighter coming up, a guy that's lying, a guy that's on drugs, a guy that we don't know if he's going to show up, he's not 100 percent, I've only got to say one thing -- he couldn't be my promoter. If I was a young fighter coming up, I would not want Oscar De La Hoya as my promoter. Me, as a fighter, I couldn't trust him.
Silkk The Shocker had a great run in the mid-90's to early 2000's, as part of his brother, Master P's, No Limit Records family.
Despite his success, the 40-year old New Orleans artist has sometimes ended up on "Worst Rappers" lists.
During a sit down with VladTV he was asked about the subject and was ready with a quick response.
"The worst rapper stuff...I do see that, but I'm confused on who gave them a chart," Silkk said. "Look, I sold a lot of records. I sold more records than a lot of rappers. I don't know what can say I'm the worst, but it's an opinion. But see, the people making opinions I just want them to come out and say who they are so we can kinda compare notes. Like, 'How many records you sold?'"
Silkk's sixth solo album, "Incredible," is due out soon.

N.W.A. co-founder Eazy E died in 1995, just one month after being diagnosed with AIDS. He was just 30-years old.
Because the disease was not discovered while Eazy, real name Eric Wright, was in the HIV positive stage it's impossible to know how long the rapper would have lived had he received earlier treatments.
Magic Johnson tested positive for HIV in 1991 and is still living a productive life.
Wright's son, Lil Eazy, spoke with TMZ about Charlie Sheen's condition. He believes the actor is a lucky man.
With today's life saving treatments that are available, Sheen will be able to watch his five children grow up. For that, Lil E, whose dad died when he was 10, thinks the "Wall Street" star should be thankful.

Billboard recently rolled out their list of the "Top 10 Greatest Rappers of All Time." An opinion-based list such as this will always be questioned by some, but the omission of Tupac Shakur, generally considered top 3 DOA, is surprising and didn't sit well with his former label mate, Snoop Dogg.
On the other hand,Ghostface Killah, is definitely the best to ever do it, although his lyrical ability is sometimes slept on. He was thankful for being included and gave the website a shout out.
Do you agree with Billboard's list? If not, let us know who you would delete and add in their place. Or simply give us your own top 10 in the comment section below.

Since our first interview with Slim Jesus back in September, the Ohio rapper has blown up in the hip-hop world, and he spoke to us about adjusting to his recent fame.
One of the perks to stem from his recent buzz has been the rare feat of headlining shows. After admitting that he's "skipped a lot of steps" in becoming famous, Slim revealed that he had never performed live before his first paid show. While most people in his shoes would be nervous about the large crowds, the "Drill Time" rapper stated that he has become "natural" on stage.
During the interview Slim Jesus also addressed the reaction he got after revealing to VladTV that he doesn't live the street life that he raps about. He explained that while some people praised him for his honesty, he added that he understands why some rappers were critical of his comment.
To hear more from Slim Jesus, including how he's reacted to the attention of women during his shows, hit the clip below.
A prominent Los Angeles lawyer has been contacted by 10 women who plan to sue Charlie Sheen. The attorney has met with 6 of the women and has appointments with the other 4.
All claim that Sheen never told them he was HIV positive before having both protected and unprotected sex with them. Some as recently as last month.
TMZ reports they are going to sue the actor for intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud and sexual battery.
As we previously reported, during an interview on Tuesday, November 17, Sheen told Matt Lauer of NBC Today that he had been up front with all of his sexual partners about his condition.
“Yes, I have,” Sheen replied, adding, “No exceptions.”
Sheen did admit that he had unprotected sex with 2 women after his diagnosis.
"The 2 people that I did that with were under the care of my doctor and they were completely warned ahead of time," Sheen said.
He says that he has already paid out "millions" in extortion money to keep his condition a secret and didn't plan on shelling out any more after today.
Bree Olsen
Former girlfriend Bree Olsen appeared on The Howard Stern Show this morning, claiming that Sheen never once told her he was HIV positive.
“He never said anything to me,” the former porn star told Stern. “I was his girlfriend. I lived with him. We were together. We had sex almost every day for a year—with lambskin condoms.”
Lambskin condoms do not protect against HIV transmission.
At this point Olsen is not sure if she is going to take Sheen to court.
Natalie Kenlywas one of Sheen's former "goddesses," along with Olsen. She toldTMZ that she was never informed of his condition either.
Both Olsen and Kenly are currently HIV negative. Kenly doesn't plan to sue.
Brooke Mueller, who has 6-year old twin sons with Sheen, issued a statement to Us Weekly via her rep, Steve Honig.
"To put their minds at ease, Brooke can confirm that she and the boys are not HIV-positive."
The two were married from 2008-2011.
Sheen was diagnosed four years ago. In the last two years he's allegedly had sex with at least 200 partners says an associate, so more lawsuits may be on the way.

After calling David Banner comments about Black rappers mumbling these days "complete bulls*t," television personality Charlamagne tha God went on to defend the artists who don't. "I hate when people say things like that because it lets me know you're not looking for the whole totality of hip-hop - you're listening to the radio," Charlamagne expressed. He then backed his point by naming Drake, J. Cole, Big Sean & Wale, which turned into yet another debate about the greatest rap acts of today.
J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Drake are the top rappers right now in Charlamagne's eyes, but DJ Vlad believes Future has had a bigger impact in recent months. Charlamagne quickly interjected and said "Yeah, October 2015 he may be hotter, but he's not...Nah. Cole, Kendrick and Drake are those guys." He does admit later, however, that Future "is getting into legendary status" little by little.
