Audio After The Jump

Looks like the Nicki Minaj/Remy Ma beef is still on the front burner.

Nicki assisted 2 Chainz on an upcoming song titled "Realize," which he played a snippet of recently. Young Money's First Lady uses the occasion to throw shots at her arch nemesis and the infamous "Shether" diss song that started their war on wax.

“I’ve been winning eight years consistently, at least respect it/Papoose wrote a ‘Ether’ record, but I broke Aretha record,” Nicki raps.

What do you guys think of Nicki's claim? Is it believable that Remy's husband wrote "Shether?" Listen to the "Realize" snippet below.

Mary  J. Blige's soon-to-be-ex husband, Martin Isaacs, was just granted a huge financial victory. The judge in their divorce case has ordered Blige to pay him $30,000 a month in temporary spousal support.

Isaacs was seeking $129,000 a month.

In addition, the 9-time Grammy Award-winning singer must cough up retroactive spousal support dating back to September, plus Isaacs' attorney fees. That total comes to $235,000.

Blige filed for divorce in July of 2016, after 13 years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences."

How long have you been doing music?

How would you describe your music?

I would say my music is very versatile, I speak on experiences and life struggles.  Everyone can relate to my music including kids.

What are some of the biggest obstacles you have overcome?

Besides the obvious of being a female artist, demanding respect on the mic will always be an obstacle for female emcees no matter how dope we are.

Do you write all your music?

I do write all of my own verses and mostly all of my hooks. However, from time to time my team may sit down and collaborate with another artist for a hook depending on the type of song I’m working on.

What is your inspiration for being in the music industry?

My family, my fans, the kids they all believe in me. They want me to blow just as bad as I do, if not more.

When you are not in the studio What music do you listen to?

Whatever makes me feel good. I like all genres so it really just depends on my mood! People are very surprised when they see me in traffic bumpin SIA.

Hitting the road and blessing the stage in other cities and countries.

I would say Kendrick Lamar or Drake

What advice can you give others who may follow in your footsteps?

Video After The Jump

A reported beef between XXXTentacion and another rapper turned violent Wednesday, June 7, in San Diego.

XXX was performing when he was bumrushed and knocked unconscious. Unconfirmed reports allege his attacker was Rob Stone.

Stone was then beaten by security, while XXX lay motionless onstage, before being picked up and carried off by members of his team.

XXL reports that XXXTentacion had previously been warned not to perform in San Diego because it's Stone's hometown. Earlier this year Stone jumped Ski Mask The Slump God, a friend of XXX's, while he performed.

XXXTentacion

XXXTentacion took to Twitter following last night's show, claiming his assailant had gotten stabbed during the melee.

"Several stab wounds, he in critical condition he might be dead in a few hours… JUST SAYIN," he wrote. "Security and venue set me up, I got sucker punched and knocked out, it is what it is. Next time make sure you kill me so I can't talk shit."

Video After The Jump

Eminem found a way to give back to the 2017 graduating class of Flint Community Schools. Slim came up with the idea to gift 230 students with Beats By Dre headphones through his Marshall Mathers Foundation, according to MLive.

The multi-platinum-selling Detroit recording artist surprised the students on Tuesday, June 6, when they saw his face being projected on four screens overhead.

"What's up Class of 2017? This is Eminem. I just want to say congratulations to the graduating seniors of Flint Northwestern, Flint Southwestern and Flint Accelerated Learning Academy," blared the rapper's voice. "Congrats to all your guys' hard work, man. You earned this moment."

"I thought he was just going to give his speech on the speaker and it just was going to be that," said 18-year old Flint Northwestern senior Betty Davis. "I greatly appreciate Eminem for giving out like he did. He didn't have to and the fact that he can see so much potential in Flint and Flint students, it just makes the gift so much more worth keeping."
