Video After The Jump

A Seattle cop was filmed rolling his bicycle over a man’s helmeted head as he lay down on the street during violent Black Lives Matter protests sparked by the decision not to charge cops for Breonna Taylor’s death.

The protester — called “trumpet man” by others in the crowd — was shown prone on the ground more than once as groups of bike cops pushed the mob back after declaring the march an unlawful protest.

As the officers advanced another time, one appeared to have had enough — and steered his bike’s wheels over the protester’s white safety helmet, according to a CJTV Media livestream. The officer — who was walking the bike at the time — then appeared to use it to hit another man to stop him getting too close.

Seattle police said it was “aware” of the video.

“This matter will be referred to the Office of Police Accountability for further investigation,” the force said in a press statement.

It was not immediately clear if the protester was injured or had been charged, although videos on social media showed officers appearing to arrest him.

It came as police say “multiple officers” were injured — including one bike cop filmed getting hit over the head with a baseball bat — during a fiery night when 13 were arrested in what was ruled an unlawful assembly.

Police say they were “assaulted with bottles and rocks” and numerous fires were started in the street. They responded with tear gas and “blast balls,” the force said.

Video After The Jump

President Donald Trump was loudly jeered and subjected to chants of “Honor her wish!” and “Vote him out!” during his Thursday morning visit to pay respects to Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s casket at the Supreme Court. The crowd was clearly incensed by Trump’s determination to overlook the late justice’s dying wish to not be replaced before Election Day. The president stood silently beside the casket with first lady Melania Trump as the crowd voiced their disapproval. Unusually, he was wearing a face mask—a safety measure he’s repeatedly ridiculed throughout the pandemic.

Kodak Black is turning to Donald Trump for help ... he's begging the President to commute his prison sentence.

The rapper's attorneys, Bradford Cohen and Jonathan Schwartz, sent a petition to Trump, obtained by TMZ, asking the Prez to cut Kodak a break.

Kodak's camp has lots of reasons why Trump should commute his sentence ... Cohen points out Kodak was sentenced to 46 months behind bars in his federal gun case, and claims the average sentence for the same crime is 18 months.

As you know, Kodak's locked up in a maximum-security federal prison in Kentucky, but Cohen says it's not warranted ... he claims the Bureau of Prisons "erroneously" viewed Kodak as level 4 criminal history, paving the way for Kodak to be housed in a maximum-security facility. Cohen claims the judge only put Kodak at a level 2, which means he could be housed at a lower security prison.

Kodak's attorney's also argue he's being unfairly punished for assaulting a prison guard in Miami ... repeating their earlier claim that Kodak was set up and possibly drugged.

KB's legal team also claims he was punished twice for the incident with the guard in Miami ... Cohen says Kodak was only supposed to get a 6-month sentence, but instead ended up with year-long punishment, which has kept him in total lockdown since last September, resulting in no phone calls or visits from anyone but his attorneys.

Trump's also being asked to consider abuse Kodak's allegedly suffering in prison -- beatings at the hands of guards, religious suppression and mental abuse.

As we first told you ... Kodak's suing the Federal Bureau of Prisons for alleged torture and denial of access to a rabbi, which his attorney's claim is a violation of his constitutional rights.

Kodak's also hoping his good deeds go a long way toward swaying Trump ... Cohen cites the hundreds of thousands of dollars he's donated to charities over the years, including playing Santa, gift cards at Christmas, donations to underprivileged youth, helping folks in his neighborhood and paying for children's education.

It seems like a long shot, but there's this ... Cohen may have an in with Trump.

Kodak's attorney was a contestant on "The Apprentice" way back in 2005 and got fired. He also represented Trump's former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, in his 2016 case.

The NBA, Doc Rivers, Jameer Nelson and the Players Association have actively been trying to get Delonte West help ... this after a new photo surfaced showing the former star hooper in rough shape.

The viral photo -- reportedly taken recently in Dallas -- appears to show the 37-year-old former guard begging for money on the street.

The question has been ... why haven't former players and coaches stepped in and helped West?

As it turns out, TMZ Sports has learned, they've been trying for months.

Multiple sources tell us that the league, NBPA, and Delonte's former coach, Doc Rivers, and former St. Joe's college teammate, Jameer Nelson, and others have attempted to get DW much needed assistance.

FYI, West was the 24th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft. He played 8 NBA seasons for the SuperSonics, Mavs, Cavs and Celtics ... where he played for Rivers.

West's struggles have been well-documented ... and this isn't the first time photo or video has surfaced that has caused serious concern about West's well-being.

Back in 2016, a fan spotted Delonte outside a Jack In The Box ... and asked him if he was the former NBA star.

West responded ... "I'm not about that life anymore."

Most recently in January 2020, Delonte was captured on video involved in a street fight.

The bottom line is there are people who are desperate to help Delonte ... but he's gotta be willing to accept it.

Kanye West is currently locked in a battle with Universal Music Group as he attempts to get his masters.

In that regard, it is only right that he has decided to do just that for the artists under his GOOD Music label.

"I’m giving all Good music artist back the 50% share I have of their masters," West tweeted on Wednesday, September 23. "Now let’s have Universal match me."

That list would include current artists Pusha T, Big Sean, Teyana Taylor, Cyhi The Prynce, Sheck Wes, 070 Shake, Valee and more.

Former Good Music talent John Legend, Common, Kid Cudi, Desiigner, Kacy Hill, Mr. Hudson, Consequence, Malik Yusef, Tony Williams and others should be happy to hear the news as well.

Video After The Jump

This shopper could use a drink ... too bad she destroyed an entire rack of wine when she threw a fit over coronavirus precautions in a grocery store and got arrested.

The woman, who some are calling a "Karen," went HAM on the wine display inside a supermarket in Surrey, UK ... and it was all captured on surveillance cams. As you can see, she started pounding on the protective barrier at the register after staff reportedly reprimanded her for blowing off the one-way system being used to maintain social distancing ... and then she went to town on the wine rack.

The video is wild -- the woman clears a couple shelves full of wine bottles, shattering them on the floor and leaving a pool of red wine and broken glass in her wake. She seems to have gone for the good stuff too, wiping out the top-shelf vino.

Surrey Police tell TMZ ... they responded to the store and the woman was arrested for criminal damage and public order. We're told she's also been banned from the store.

The video is from back in May, during the height of the UK's lockdown, but it's going viral now as retailers say they're seeing more and more of this sort of behavior.

So much for appreciating essential workers.

(CNN) Mike Tyson, 54, has never voted before. He's changing that this election year.

"This will be my 1st time voting," Tyson said in a tweet Tuesday. "I never thought I could because of my felony record. I'm proud to finally vote."

He shared the news with his followers along with a link to register to vote and the hashtag #NationalVoterRegistrationDay.

The legendary boxer was convicted and sentenced to six years in prison on one count of rape and two counts of deviant sexual conduct in 1992. He was released from prison after serving three years.
The conviction stripped Tyson of his right to vote.

Many state laws throughout the US rule felons ineligible to vote. More than 6 million Americans -- about 2.5% of the nation's voting-age population -- could not vote in the 2016 election due to felony records, according to an estimate by The Sentencing Project, a research group that advocates for improvements to the criminal justice system.

There has been a growing movement toward restoring convicted felons the right to vote on a state-by-state basis in the last few decades, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Tyson's home state of Nevada signed a law to restore voting rights to all persons convicted of felony upon release from prison in 2019, which will allow him to participate in this year's election.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Kentucky grand jury on Wednesday indicted a single police officer for shooting into neighboring apartments but did not move forward with charges against any officers for their role in Breonna Taylor’s death.

A grand jury announced that Officer Brett Hankison was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment in connection to the police raid on the night of March 13.

Neither the grand jury nor the presiding judge elaborated on the charges.

State Attorney General Daniel Cameron scheduled a news conference in the capital, Frankfort, to discuss the grand jury’s decision.

Protesters have consistently pressured him to act, and celebrities and pro athletes had joined them in calling on the attorney general to charge the police who shot Taylor. At one point, demonstrators converged on his house and were charged with felonies for trying to intimidate the prosecutor.

A Republican, he is the state’s first Black state attorney general and a protege of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who has been tagged by some as his heir apparent. His was also one of 20 names on President Donald Trump’s list to fill a future Supreme Court vacancy.

Taylor, an emergency medical worker, was shot multiple times by officers who entered her home using a no-knock warrant during a narcotics investigation. The warrant used to search her home was connected to a suspect who did not live there, and no drugs were found inside. The use of no-knock warrants has since been banned by Louisville’s Metro Council.

Before charges were brought, Hankison was fired from the city’s police department on June 23. A termination letter sent to him by interim Louisville Police Chief Robert Schroeder said the white officer had violated procedures by showing “extreme indifference to the value of human life” when he “wantonly and blindly” shot 10 rounds of gunfire into Taylor’s apartment in March.

Hankison, Sgt. Johnathan Mattingly, Officer Myles Cosgrove and the detective who sought the warrant, Joshua Jaynes, were placed on administrative reassignment after the shooting.

(CNN) Megan Thee Stallion is most likely feeling "All Dat" after being named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people of 2020.

The 25-year-old rapper -- born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete -- is among the high-profile "pioneers" to feature on the prestigious list, which recognizes those who have impacted the world by "harnessing the power of influence to forge genuine progress."

Explaining why the Houston native deserves a place among other high-profile names including Selena Gomez, Michaela Coel and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson described Megan as "the epitome of tenacity."

"I don't like to put the stigma of the word strong on Black women because I think it dehumanizes us, but she has strength -- strength through vulnerability," the "Empire" star wrote in the special issue of Time.

"It's invigorating to see her become a platinum-selling artist with the viral hit 'Hot Girl Summer' and multiple No. 1 songs in the past year, 'Savage' and 'WAP.' But you would be a fool to think that's all there is to her. She's deep."

Henson emphasized the influence Megan has had in the music industry in the early stages of her career.

"She rode the beat like I'd never heard anybody ride the beat in a long time—and I'm a hip-hop head," Henson wrote.

Touching on Megan's personal struggles, she continued: "She's lost much of her family -- her mother, her father, her grandmother -- yet she is the epitome of tenacity, of pulling herself up by her bootstraps. She was shot this summer, and still people tried to tear her down."

Henson concluded the piece by adding that despite the industry's efforts to "pigeonhole" her, Megan's "got a plan that's much bigger. And we got her. I just want her to keep winning."
