Tupac Shakur wasn't just a rapper. He was also an actor, poet and a powerful speaker who did everything with an unmatched sense of passion.
Perhaps that's why today, as we remember him on the 20th anniversary of his death at the age of 25, he still remains one of the most influential artists the world has ever known.
Shakur died on September 13, 1996, from injuries suffered in a Las Vegas drive-by shooting as he sat in the passenger seat of of a car driven by Suge Knight, the CEO of his recording home Death Row Records.
His murder remains unsolved, despite investigations and theories put forth by detectives who worked on the case.
Shakur is considered by many to be best rapper ever.
He released four solo studio albums from 1991 to 1996. Because of his incredible work ethic, Shakur, left behind enough material for six posthumous albums to be released.
His hit records include "Brenda's Got a Baby," "Dear Mama,"Changes," "California Love," "I Get Around," "Keep Ya Head Up," "So Many Tears," "How Do u Want It," "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted," "Hail Mary," "I Ain't Mad at Cha," "To Live and Die In L.A.," "Toss It Up," "Hit 'Em Up," Do for Love," "I Wonder If Heaven Got a Ghetto," "Until the End of Time," "Letter 2 My Unborn," "Ghetto Gospel," "Thugs Get Lonely Too" and "Pac's Life."
You can't mention 2Pac's music without talking about his group the Outlawz. Members E.D.I. Mean, Young Noble, Yaki Kadafi, Hussein Fatal, Napoleon, Moozaliny and Kastro were prominent on many of his recordings.
Shakur's acting career began to take off in 1992 with his role as Bishop in the movie "Juice."
He would go on to star in the feature films "Poetic Justice," "Above the Rim," "Bullet," "Gridlock'd" and "Gang Related."

West Coast Emcee, Wreck the Rebel has been making a name for himself lately. From interviews to music releases, he has been staying consistent in putting his unique style out here for listeners to hear. His latest single, "Marbles", is a visual release, and different really isn't a strong enough word to describe it. Wreck goes in with a slick delivery that catches the pocket of this strong track produced by Musikal. His words bounce and fall on time and perfectly into place with a delivery of lyrics and style that are catered to his character and vibe. According to Wreck, even the title itself is a metaphor with a deeper look into the motivation behind this song and video. "It's like...when people acting in a strange way...we say they've lost their marbles.." He continues to explain his foundation for the song was his ups and downs in life while becoming the artist and person he is today. A journey he referred to as "getting his marbles back." The itself, was very strange. And it matched the vibe that was created when Wreck added his vocals to Musikal"s track. Everything with this release was different, twisted and just the right chemistry needed to a classic. With just enough of bizarre sprinkled over it that it will get an instant replay to catch the lines and scenes you might have missed. Press and see for your self that this young artist is already in a "class of his own." The video even explains that. With his creativity and originality, this Rebel is coming to Wreck today"s hip scene. To keep up to date with Wreck the Rebel, search him on all your social media sites at Wrecktherebel.

Akon recently sat down with VladTV alongside his Konvict Kartel artist OG Boo Dirty and spoke about the common misconception that Africans don't like African Americans. Akon explained that it's the complete opposite in the country, adding that he has had plenty of African American friends who moved to the country and became multi-millionaires from starting their own business.
During the conversation, Akon also clarified statements he made about Donald Trump, pointing out that he doesn't think Trump is like Hitler, but he believes that the Republican presidential nominee's comments are from the era. OG Boo Dirty also commented on Trump by saying that he shared his distaste with the business magnate in his music video, where he kidnapped him and put him in the trunk.
To hear more of what Akon had to say, including why he doesn't teach his kids Black history, hit the clip below.

The New York City District Attorney's case againstDesiigneris falling apart at the seams.
As we previously reported, the 19-year old "Timmy Turner" rapper, born Sidney Selby III, was arrested along with four other people on Friday, September 9, after someone called the police claiming he had pointed a gun at them during a road rage incident.
When police stopped the SUV Desiigner was an occupant in, a subsequent search turned up hundreds of pills that were reported at the time to be OxyContin and methadone.
Police arrested and charged everyone in the vehicle with 2 felonies ... criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of drugs with intent to sell.
In addition, Desiigner was charged with menacing for pointing a gun at the other driver during the alleged road rage incident and felony criminal possession of a loaded weapon.
During the rapper's arraignment on Saturday, September 10, the D.A. dropped the gun charge because police didn't find one. The intent to sell charge was also dismissed.
The pills were still being tested at the time, but his attorney said all of them were anabolic steroids prescribed to the driver.
As he walked out of the courthouse a free man Saturday, Desiigner spoke to reporters.
"They tried to keep me in there, you feel me? But when you doing it right, keeping it positive they can't lock you up. Eee, eee, eee! Rrrrraaaahhh!" he said.
"Why do you think they're after you? Why do you think they said you were in a road rage incident?" he was asked.
"You know what time it is," he replied.
TMZ is now reporting that the tests on the pills found revealed that they were all steroids.
We'll have to wait and see if the remaining charges against Desiigner will get dropped. I'm no legal expert, but I'd have to believe they will be.

Memorabilia website Moments in Time plans to auction offTupac Shakur'shandwritten lyrics for the song "Catchin' Feelings" this month, but the late rapper's estate is threatening legal action if it does.
TMZ reports that the Shakur estate plans to sue if the sale goes through. They maintain that they are the owners of all of the music icon's personal and intellectual property because he never sold them. The fact that former managers, employees and others took money for some of the items doesn't change the fact they still legally belong to Shakur, according to the estate.
As we previously reported, MIT owner, Gary Zimet, obtained the lyric sheet from a former employee who worked at the studio where the song, which appears on 2Pac's2002 posthumous album titled"Better Dayz," was recorded in 1996.
Zimet says the estate doesn't have a valid claim and he won't stop the auction. He's asking for $38,500.

In 2001 Peedi Crakk signed to Jay Z and Dame Dash'sRoc-A-Fella Records label. Two years later he released his biggest single titled "One for Peedi Crakk," featuring Beanie Sigel, Young Chris and Freeway.
During an appearance on Doggie Diamonds' "No Filter" podcast the Philadelphia rapper explained that the Megahertz-produced song originally had verses from label mates Cam'Ron and Juelz Santana, but as soon as Jay heard it playing in the studio he had them removed from the record.
"I listened to it and I was really excited and happy because I was proud," Peedi said. "While I'm listening to it Jay walked in the room. Jay was like, 'What's that shit?' I was like, 'That's some new shit I just did, Jay.' He said 'Let me hear it.' My verse come on and as soon as Cam come on, Jay tapped the engineer. 'Yo, stop that. Delete that shit.' I swear to God my heart dropped. He said 'Delete that shit, get that nigga off of there.'"
Peedi later spoke to Cam and told him what had happened. Killa told him not to sweat it. He had a copy of the original version and gave it to Peedi.
It ended up on a DJ Kay Slay mixtape. You can listen to it below.

NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. marked the 15th anniversary of 9/11 on Sunday, with victims' relatives reading their names and reflecting on a loss that still felt as immediate to them as it was indelible for the nation.
But despite a tradition of putting aside partisan politics for the day, the observance became part of the news of a combustible presidential campaign, when Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton left about 90 minutes into the ground zero ceremony after feeling "overheated," her campaign said.
A senior law enforcement official who was briefed on the matter said that after leaving the memorial plaza, Clinton was observed "fainting" in a departure area. That official spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to disclose information publicly.
After going to her daughter's nearby apartment, Clinton left shortly before noon and said, "I'm feeling great." Her campaign offered no additional details, including whether the 68-year-old Clinton had required medical attention.
Republican rival Donald Trump's supporters have repeatedly questioned Clinton's health. Trump, who was also at the ceremony for a time, was asked later about Clinton's health incident and said only: "I don't know anything about it."
The 15th anniversary arrives in a country caught up in the campaign, keenly focused on political, economic and social fissures and still fighting terrorism. But for those who lost relatives, the fraught passage of 15 years feels "like 15 seconds," said Dorothy Esposito, who lost her son, Frankie.
Over 1,000 victims' family members, survivors and dignitaries at ground zero under an overcast sky.
"It doesn't get easier. The grief never goes away. You don't move forward — it always stays with you," Tom Acquaviva, who lost his son, Paul Acquaviva.
James Johnson was there for the first time since he last worked on the rescue and recovery efforts in early 2002, when he was a New York City police officer.
"I've got mixed emotions, but I'm still kind of numb," said Johnson, now a police chief in Forest City, Pennsylvania. "I think everyone needs closure, and this is my time to have closure."
Nearly 3,000 people died when hijacked planes slammed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field near Shanksville on Sept. 11, 2001. It was the deadliest terror attack on American soil.
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said on Sunday news shows that the United States is safer now than it was in 2001 against another 9/11-style attack but continues to face the challenge of potential attacks by solo and homegrown violent extremists.
President Barack Obama, speaking at the Pentagon memorial service, praised America's diversity and urged Americans not to let their enemies divide them.
"Our patchwork heritage is not a weakness — it is still and always will be one of our greatest strengths," Obama said. "This is the America that was attacked that September morning. This is the America that we must remain true to."
Some victims' relatives at ground zero pleaded for the nation to look past its differences.
"The things we think separate us really don't. We're all part of this one Earth in this vast universe," said Granvilette Kestenbaum, who lost her astrophysicist husband, Howard Kestenbaum.
Others expressed hopes for peace or alluded to the presidential race: "Guide America's next commander in chief and help make America safe again," said Nicholas Haros, who lost his mother, Frances Haros.
Neither Clinton nor Trump made public remarks at the ceremony, where politicians haven't been invited to speak since 2011. The two candidates also followed a custom of halting television ads for the day.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people gathered for a name-reading observance at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where one of the hijacked planes crashed 15 years ago.
In New York, ceremony organizers included some additional music and readings Sunday to mark the milestone year. But they kept close to what are now traditions: moments of silence and tolling bells, an apolitical atmosphere and the hourslong reading of the names of the dead.
Some speakers described how their loss had moved them to do something for others.
Ryan Van Riper said he planned to honor his slain grandmother, Barbara Shaw, by serving the country. Jerry D'Amadeo, who was 10 when he lost his father, Vincent Gerard D'Amadeo, said he worked this summer with children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, where 26 children and adults were massacred in 2012.
"Sometimes the bad things in our lives put us on the path to where we should be going — to help others as many have helped me," he said.
Financial and other hurdles delayed the redevelopment of the Trade Center site early on, but now the 9/11 museum, three of four currently planned skyscrapers, an architecturally adventuresome transportation hub and shopping concourse and other features stand at the site. A design for a long-stalled, $250 million performing arts center was unveiled Thursday.
The crowd has thinned somewhat at the anniversary ceremony in recent years. But some victims' family members, like Cathy Cava, have attended all 15 years.
"I will keep coming as long as I am walking and breathing," Cava said, wearing a T-shirt with a photo of her slain sister, Grace Susca Galante.
"I believe most of her spirit, or at least some of her spirit, is here. I have to think that way."
