Pop Smoke's fans have spoken -- loudly and clearly -- the cover art designed by Virgil Abloh for the rapper's posthumous album is trash ... so a change is coming.

Pop's highly anticipated album, "Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon" is set to release July 3, but when the cover art was revealed Monday ... it was widely ridiculed and roasted, and fans immediately demanded a do-over.

Among the most common complaints about the cover ... the lazy Photoshop job, along with using a photo of Smoke that's the first one that comes up on Google images.

In his defense, when Abloh posted the artwork he said he'd just finished it and explained ... "this album cover was one of like 5 things we talked about. he mentioned his story felt like the metaphor of a rose & thorns growing from concrete of his hood in Canarsie, Brooklyn."

Fans weren't buying it though. Even 50 Cent -- a mentor to the late hip-hop star -- called out Abloh.

Fif tweeted ... "Hey Virgil we need new album art, they ain’t going for this bullshit. Love ya work let’s get to it. Steven i told you this shit was eww let’s get it right!"

That Steven is Pop's manager, Steven Victor, who's already made it clear that Abloh's art will be redone before the album is released.

Victor says Pop -- who was on the rise when he was fatally shot in February in a home invasion -- would listen to his fans and make a change ... so that's what they're going to do.

It's unclear if Abloh will get another crack at it or if the cover art will be done by someone else, but ya gotta think ... anything new will be an improvement.

Video After The Jump

President Donald Trump set off a "five-alarm fire" in the White House on Sunday morning after he retweeted a video of one of his supporters saying "white power," according to two White House officials.

The video remained on the president's Twitter page, where he has 82 million followers, for more than three hours because White House officials couldn't reach him to ask him to delete it, the two officials said. The president was at his golf club in Virginia and had put his phone down, the officials said.

Aides also tried unsuccessfully to reach deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino to ask him to delete the retweet, officials said.

Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., added to the urgency when he called the tweet "indefensible" and demanded that the president take it down during an interview on CNN, the officials said.

Once officials were able to reach the president, he agreed to delete it, they said.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and senior adviser Jared Kushner were among those trying to contain the fallout. McEnany said Monday that Trump had watched the video before retweeting it but didn't hear his supporter say "white power."

Officials said the president gets a deluge of content from aides and allies, with one of them saying the "white power" incident was a "lesson to all of us in the White House to be more aware of what's out there."

In April, the president retweeted a posting that included the hashtag "#FireFauci." When asked at the time whether he had noticed the hashtag when he retweeted it, the president said, "Yeah, I notice everything."

This is a pretty random beef, but DJ Akademiks and Freddie Gibbs have been going at it.

Gibbs accused Ak of having a sexual relationship with Tekashi69. Akademiks fired back by saying he has more money than Gibbs and the Indiana rapper can't compare himself to his former boss, Jeezy.

Peep the madness below.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks has cleared Sparks police of any wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of an armed, suicidal 18-year-old man in January.

Hicks said Monday that the officers were justified when they shot and killed Miciah Lee.

Hicks said Lee was armed with a handgun and was threatening to kill himself or “die by cop.” He said Lee’s mother told police he was mentally unstable and had a history of drug use.

The incident began about 5:50 p.m. on Jan. 5 when Sparks officers responded to a call about a suicidal subject near Sparks High School but that he had already left the area when they arrived.

They spotted him driving a few blocks away but he refused to stop. Police say he crashed the vehicle and reached toward a gun before officers shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was hurt.

Chris Borelli drops "Crooked Lines"

Chris Borelli drops "Crooked Lines"

Chris grew up below the poverty line in Framingham, MA. At the age of 11, he was placed into the custody of social services along with his sister and two brothers. Later adopted at 14 by his long time foster family - the Borelli's, Chris began to interpret his life from an entirely different perspective. With the Borelli's, he discovered his love for music by practicing piano and singing on a regular basis. Supported by a loving adoptive family, Chris decided that music was his calling.

For all of his adolescent and teen years, Chris was solely a singer-songwriter. His piano and singing skills were sharp at a young age. He performed original songs, sang in choirs, and participated in local singing competitions.

It wasn't until he was 18 when Chris discovered his abilities in hip hop. He began writing verses and simultaneously building his production skills as an undergrad at Stonehill College. It was in college where Chris discovered his voice in rap music and crafted his energetic stage presence. His abilities strengthened quickly as he was able to apply his classical knowledge of music into his style of rap.

His lyrics are raw and direct. His messages are confidently delivered. His content is pure, honest and relatable.

Chris has performed on various stages among several different platforms. He's been invited to the Vans Warped Tour in the summer of 2012 - invited back the following year. Performed for college audiences such as UMass, Boston College, Northeastern University and many others. He's opened for T-Pain, Joyner Lucas, Waka Flocka, Andy Grammer, Cobra Starship, George Watsky, Hermitude, TroyBoi and several others.

At 27, Chris has acquired a moderate fan base and continues to perform and release various projects. His latest EP, "Guts," is now available on all major streaming platforms.

1. Where can we find you mostly, in the studio or in the club?
Studio most definitely I’m a studio body if that makes sense,
I’d live in the studio if I could.

2. Who is your childhood hero?
My childhood hero really is no one. I like the super hero Static Shock though!

3. If you went on tour how would you travel, in the sky or a bus?
Definitely bus it’s more safer in my opinion plus gives you
time to enjoy and see different things.

4. What's the best way for someone reading this to find you on social media, what's your main platform?
My main platform is Instagram if you want to talk to me directly.

5. Do you have anything to share with the fans, any hints on new songs or collaborations?
Man I got possible Colman’s that I don’t want to speak on very much but definitely something big is in the works. My new project “Therapy” will have 9 songs and possibly more!!!

6. Xbox or Playstation? What's your gamer tag?
Xbox all the way,I came from Play Station I loved the switch I made when I went to Xbox it’s more competitive.

7. What time of day do you make music, are you an early bird or are you up late?
I’m an early bird and depending on my mood, I never write just because. I write off feelings and what I may feel right then.

8. Do you prefer to listen to your own catalog of music or the radio?
I prefer to listen to either one to be honest , sometimes I take a break listening to my own so when I come back it’s fresh and I hear new things I could do better!

9. If you could pick one or the other what would you choose, the money or the fame?
Money always causes you to be famous and be broke , never would I wanna be famous for not having a dime. I’d rather be rich and in silence off the radar.

10. If you could go back in time or in the future which one would you choose and why?
If I could go back in time I’d do my research on the business side of music more and actually take the initiative to gain knowledge at a young age and not have waited til I was older to finally get on board I should say.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota judge on Monday warned that he’s likely to move the trials of four police officers charged in George Floyd’s death out of Minneapolis if public officials and attorneys don’t stop talking about the case.

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill stopped short of issuing a gag order on attorneys, but he said one is likely if public statements continue. Cahill added that such a situation would also make him likely to grant a change-of-venue motion if one is filed.

“The court is not going to be happy about hearing about the case in three areas: media, evidence and guilt or innocence,” Cahill said.

It was the second pretrial hearing for the officers, who were fired after Floyd’s May 25 death. Derek Chauvin, 44, is charged with second-degree murder and other counts, while Thomas Lane, 37, J. Kueng, 26, and Tou Thao, 34, are charged with aiding and abetting Chauvin.

Floyd died after Chauvin, a white police officer, pressed his knee against the handcuffed 46-year-old Black man’s neck for nearly eight minutes. The officers were responding to a call about a man trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill at a nearby store.

Floyd’s death was universally condemned in Minnesota, with elected officials including Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey calling for the officers to be charged. Police Chief Medaria Arradondo said Floyd’s death was “murder.”

Cahill asked Assistant Attorney General Matthew Frank to use his influence to keep public officials silent, warning that if they continued to discuss it publicly, he likely would “have to pull (trials) out of Hennepin County and they need to be aware of that.”

Cahill set a March 8 trial date for the former officers if they are tried together, though he said he expects motions to be filed to separate their trials. The next court date is Sept. 11.

The defendants have not entered pleas. Chauvin’s attorney has not commented publicly on the charges, while Lane’s and Kueng’s attorneys have sought to minimize their clients’ roles and deflect blame to the more senior Chauvin in Floyd’s death, which sparked protests around the world against police brutality.

Chauvin remains in custody on $1 million bail and Thao is being held on $750,000 bail. Lane and Kueng are free on bond.

Cahill also rejected a defense request to reconsider his earlier decision to allow cameras in the courtroom during pretrial proceedings. Defense attorneys asked to allow such coverage, but prosecutors objected. The judge has not ruled on whether to allow cameras for the trial itself, which in Minnesota usually requires the consent of all parties.

Video After The Jump

Wearing an orange jumpsuit and a clear face shield to protect against coronavirus, former police officer Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. pleaded guilty on Monday to 13 counts of first-degree murder. The string of murders in the 1970s and '80s terrorized California, and the suspect who committed them became known as the Golden State Killer.

DeAngelo, 74, sat in a wheelchair as he rasped out "yes" and "I admit" to the charges, after prosecutors described the grisly circumstances of each crime. Otherwise, he hardly spoke and did not look at the victims' families.

"Mr. DeAngelo is acknowledging his guilt for the heinous crimes he has committed," said Contra Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton. "There is really nothing that could give full justice because he has committed horrendous acts and murder up and down the state of California. But at least we can now begin the process — after decades — to bring some closure to families."

The hearing took place in a makeshift courtroom within a ballroom at Sacramento State University, NPR's Eric Westervelt reports from the scene. The chairs in the gallery were spaced 10 feet apart for social distancing, attorneys wore face shields, and sheriff's deputies wore black face masks.

The long-unsolved murders grabbed headlines anew in 2018 when law enforcement officers announced they had identified DeAngelo as the suspect using DNA from a publicly available genealogy website to crack the case.

Investigators used the DNA evidence from one of the murder scenes to create a profile of the killer, which they then uploaded to the genealogy website. That site linked the killer's profile to a distant relative of DeAngelo's. Investigators then confirmed the link by collecting DeAngelo's DNA from his car door and a discarded tissue, according to The Associated Press.

DeAngelo's attorneys struck a plea deal with prosecutors that means DeAngelo will avoid the death penalty. California has not executed an inmate since 2006. In March 2019, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed an executive order instituting a moratorium on the death penalty in the state. DeAngelo will face consecutive life sentences with no chance of parole.

Caribbean Nobody Gets Chance at Hip Hop.

On an island where Caribbean culture is prominent only certain types of music are popular in the local music industry. How was Sky going to create an impact in which all ears would be fixed on his craft? Hot Boy represents a rapper whose goal is to put his island on the world stage. The song is a notable banger but was not given the opportunity to be recorded at a professional studio in the artist home country.

As quoted by some local professionals; The song was a complete waste of time due to it not being the popular genre the island people were accustomed too. Sky recorded a demo by a friend which was then used as reference for the Studio version recorded in Guyana.

Around late November, Sky looked and found a rapper by the name of Ponce De'Leioun and knew that the rapper would be the perfect fit for his song. Ponce is known for his catalogue that features fellow industry mates like Rich The Kid, Riff Raff and many others. He chose him and enlisted him to be featured on his song.

Around early January, Sky got the verse from Ponce and sent it to his friend to sort out the vision he had for the song. Later that month COVID-19 scare made all available studios shut down. Nobody wanted to take the risk. Despite all this the island rapper pushed through with help and got the song produced the best way they could. Sky is now ready to share his effort with the world.

Dr. Dre and his wife of 24 years are ending their marriage ... she's filed for divorce.

Nicole Young filed the paperwork Monday, citing the usual irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from the hip-hop mogul.

Dre married Nicole on May 25, 1996, and they have 2 adult children together -- a son named Truice and a daughter named Truly -- so they won't have to deal with child support.

Sources connected to Nicole say there is no prenup. Dre's net worth, according to Forbes, is estimated at $800 million.

Nicole is also seeking spousal support.

She was formerly married to NBA player, Sedale Threatt. Young works as a lawyer and is represented in the divorce by a high-powered celeb attorney, Samantha Spector.

We've reached out to Dr. Dre's rep. He had no comment.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — A white couple pointed guns at protesters in St. Louis as a group marched toward the mayor’s home to demand her resignation after she read the names and addresses of several residents who supported defunding the police department during an online briefing.

A social media video showed the armed couple standing outside of their large home Sunday evening in the upscale Central West End neighborhood of the Missouri city.

In the video, the unidentified couple shouted at protesters, while people in the march moved the crowd forward, urging participants to ignore them. People in the crowd included Black and white protesters.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether St. Louis police were aware of the incident. An email and phone call from The Associated Press to police weren’t immediately answered.

The group of at least 500 people was heading toward Mayor Lyda Krewson’s home, chanting, “Resign Lyda, take the cops with you,” news outlets reported.

Resignation demands come after a Facebook Live briefing on Friday where Krewson read the names and addresses of several residents who wrote letters to the mayor suggesting she defund the police department.
