Such is the case for producer Gioisofficial. The 15-year
-old earns a living by selling beats online, using
YouTube as his main marketing platform. In just
three years, his work has attracted nearly
500,000 subscribers, garnered over 100
million views and paved the way for
placements with Kevin Gates,
Quando Rondo, etc.
But his list of accomplishments are more than just
happenstance. The Dallas -born producer took
advantage of the “type beat” marketing strategy,
titling each video with names of rappers he hopes
to hear or foresees recording over his production.
Some of his most popular videos fall under Drake
Thug Type Beats, 21 Savage Type Beats and Travis
Scott Type Beats.

To sell his beats, Gioisofficial utilizes BeatStars, the
growing e-commerce marketplace for producers. For a
monthly fee, the platform offers a centralized
destination for beat makers to sell their work,
as well as contract templates, social media
advertising services and Soundcloud monetization.
Gioisofficial beat-making counterparts believe the
reselling game dilutes value. He begs to differ. The
small music scene in his hometown of Dallas did not
offer many advantages to promote and monetize his
artistry. Therefore, utilizing YouTube and other
online mediums was his best marketing tactic.
“Artists now go and find Gioisofficial’s beats to
record on, and put online and hope to garner a fan
base and hopes to attract the attention of an A&R
or a record label,” Carter said, Gio’s manager.
“That $250 [an artist] spends on creating a record
could help get him a million-dollar deal or get him
on the road and get him touring.”
With Carter's major label expertise, Gioisofficial
has already begun the process of expanding his brand
to include a solo album and a record label with its
own roster of producers.
Carter adds: “This is the beginning of an empire for him.”

It is quite intriguing to think about where music began and where it is now. The music industry has gone through several monumental evolutions over the decades and other less noticeable but essential changes. Ian Mitchell Rowe is living through one of these evolutions being witnessed in the music industry.
Ian Mitchell Rowe, popularly known as Rowe Rowe, is a rapper, artist manager and A&R who is making notable waves in the music industry. He has made headlines for his 431-track Spotify playlist that he dubbed ‘Chill Vibes.’ The playlist has been a hit, and his musical success is beginning to take shape. According to Rowe, getting into any industry is challenging; the music industry is especially difficult due to extreme competition. He, however, notes that your skills render value to you and emphasizes the importance of growing together.
Talking about the industry's evolution, Ian Mitchell Rowe outlines one of the glaring changes: the shift to the digital space. Technology has changed how music is consumed across the world. This makes it necessary for artists to stay on top of trends and produce music in formats that are consumable for their audiences.
Rowe also notes that the quality of music today is quite different. Even as he works to disrupt the rap scene positively, Rowe appreciates the changes that have taken place and made the music scene what it is today. While he can’t praise every change that has occurred, he states that more good has come out of the evolution.
The subject matter of music is also one of the notable changes that have taken place. Looking through history, Rowe notes how a particular theme punctuated each decade. Despite some themes such as love remaining a constant throughout time, the way we express it has changed, and it is very noticeable in modern music.
Wise beyond his years, Rowe is an inspiration for a generation of aspiring rappers, musicians, and young listeners. Rowe says that being aware of your surroundings is crucial, which is why he keeps up to date with the shifts in the industry.
Given his understanding of the music industry and his interest and understanding of the shifts already underway, Ian Rowe is well prepared for change and inspiring many young artists.
Do not have the habit of scolding your kid when he/she tries to beat some drums all in the
name of having fun. You just never know, he or she might be the next Landon Hall. In a world
where drummists have not been given the much-needed recognition, Landon has beaten all
odds to change that. Landon is an energetic drummer, songwriter, actor, musician and
entrepreneur whose desire to be the best is unmatched.
Landon Hall has always had a passion for drums, not to mention his habit of banging pans even
at a young age of 3. He would at times make his on DIY set of drums out of the big pop con
cans. At age 9, Landon got his first set of drums. This not only motivated him but also helped
him voice out his talent to the bigger community as he played drums for mega churches during
praise and worship.
Landon Hall, founder of Diemond Star and Music City Drum Show famously called “Drum Trade
Show” which is usually held in Nashville has consistently showed the need for drummers in
events and music industry. Despite the ever digitization of music, top companies like
Nickelodeon, huge musicians like Boni Jovi, Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Katey
Sagal have sorted the services of Landon.
When it comes to designing those drum sticks, worry no more. Landon, who also designs his
own drum sticks, knows what each of those beats need. Little do we have drummers designing
drum sticks for that special beat! Thanks to Landon’s entrepreneurial mindset, any drummer
can get hold of this high quality versatile drum sticks.
With the changing demands in the music industry, the need for drum tracks has risen. This has
forced Landon Hall to record drum tracks for songs aired on radio stations globally. With
current musical trends, it will be close to impossible to produce a song without having that
“drumming effect.” Getting a one of these perfect drum sticks made by one of the best will
probably do that trick.
Learning how to be a success in an oversaturated world
of music can be challenging. Yet, C.LACY shares his
life lessons tips for aspiring artists who are
learning the hard way, just as he did.
C.LACY’s real name is Cory Lacy. As an R and B
singer-songwriter, he allows his true
personality to shine through his music,
as a man from humble beginnings.
Growing up, C.LACY was a huge fan of his single mother.
Not only did she work incredibly hard to home and
protect her five children, but she showed him how
hard work and the right values can pay off.
C.LACY likes to educate people through his music as well
as share his life lessons with new aspiring artists. His
meaningful music contains lines that are personal to him.
Yet, he shares them with the world so that others can
learn and better themselves to
achieve their own opportunities.
The artist’s first life lesson that he wants to share with
the world is to believe in yourself. C.LACY says that once
you start believing in yourself, you won’t let other
people control your life. You will stay in your own
lane and dedicate your passions to achieving your dreams.
Additionally, he advises all new artists to stay
themselves and stick to their roots. To achieve
success in any industry, especially the music
industry, you need to show the world who you
truly are. When your fans are aware of your
true self, they can connect with you on a
more personal level and dedicate their
loyalties to you.
Although C.LACY had to learn the hard way, his life
lessons have improved him as a person and can now
help aspiring artists in the music industry.

Tr3 has aspirations of changing the Mississippi rap culture, but can I be honest with you? The kid grew in a never-ending battle of pain. Imagine what it would be like witnessing people close to you going to jail with some dying. For the first time, pain dawns on you that your aspirations and goals are all scared by pain.
Nevertheless, we've all been there. Going through the hard stuff before things work out.Tr3 now presents himself as a young MC who can straight up spit bars. As if that's not enough, he has over 100 songs recorded to date. It gets even better with Tr3 getting acceptance from the Hip-hop world. To sum up, it's simple: don't give up in times of difficulty. Persevere on as there will be an end to these.
The music industry promises fame and fortune but there
is never a promise that these rewards will come without
struggle. Almost every successful music artist who is now
enjoying the rewards of achieving their dreams within the
industry has stories to share about the lessons that they
learned the hard way. Brox-born rap music artist King Fed
is a self-made success, his break-out track ‘Well Okay’
climbed the top 40 charts on its release and he’s still
riding high on the wave of his successes. But his triumphs
within the music industry were hard-earned and fought for.
Here he shares the lessons that the music
industry taught him the hard way.
King Fed has always had a passion for lyrical creation,
it’s a skill that he’s been cultivating since he first
bstarted experimenting with poetry in middle school. He
developed a talent for weaving words with music, combining
them to create something evocative; his own unique sound,
a sound that he felt passionate about. It was following
this passion that taught him his first hard lesson. That
lesson was that music is an art form but it is also a
business. The music industry is built on multi-million
-dollar contracts and millionaire-making label deals,
and King Fed explains that he learned the hard way that
having a passion for music isn’t enough to make it in
the industry, you need to view yourself and your music as
a precious commodity. The second lesson that King Fed says
the music business taught him the hard way was that as an
artist you need to fight for your place within the
industry. No one is going to hand you the success you
seek, you need to stand up and take it, he says that he
learned early in his career that it was up to him to fight
for what he wanted. The third lesson that King Fed shares
came to him the hard way is that you need to use your pain
to truly become a music artist. Calling on your raw
personal experiences is he says, the only real way
to become a true and authentic artist. No matter
how painful it might be he discovered that to
create music that reaches listeners and resonates
with them, you have to be completely open and honest.
King Fed’s newest single ‘Burning Bridges’ comes amid
what is undoubtedly the biggest period of growth in
King Fed's career. His Spotify has been buzzing
with new listeners from across the globe, especially
from the United Kingdom. The New York rapper’s newest
banger features UK artist Hated 28, and it's already
getting rave reviews. King Fed's label 5th Dimensional
Entertainment described ‘Burning Bridges’ as the perfect
blend of New York and UK drill music.
We are told that 5th Dimensional Entertainment has hired
an entirely new marketing staff and is focused on nothing
but building up the young rapper's catalog, listening
audience, and revenue stream. It's undeniable that
this is the season for artists who have been hard at
work long before they were locked away in our homes.
This trying time calls for those artists to dig into
their archives and release those gems they have had
stashed away, and King Fed does not disappoint.
Having a driven mindset and a burning passion for doing something from a young age can pay off and get you ahead of the game. In fact, this is true for Tao Asher, who
jumped headfirst into his career as early as possible
to achieve his goals.
Tao Asher, who also goes by the name Tao Asher Enkin,
is a 15-year-old music artist who grew up in
Miami, Florida. Miami is still his home, and
Tao believes that his surroundings are what
influenced him to get into music and what
helped him achieve his success at
such a young age.
While growing up and listening to the likes of Kanye West and Eminem, Tao knew that he wanted to get into the music industry. Fortunately, living in Miami, he could get a step ahead of the game as he was surrounded by famous faces every day.
Tao has worked incredibly hard to get where he is, having managed to work with huge names in the music world already, which includes Trippie Red and Polo G. Due to this, his
name is already making the rounds, and the world is
starting to groove to his beats.
As well as creating globally appreciated tunes, Tao also works in celebrity marketing. The young business mindset in him knows that networking with big names will do wonders for
his brand to grow even further.
As someone who has started networking and hardworking at such
a young age, Tao certainly has the right mindset to rise
within the music industry and make a name for himself
among the stars.
The evolution of technology has changed how we listen
to music and how artists create it. According to
hip-hop artist Tatted Swerve, technology has also
altered how artists are discovered. He believes
that modern technology has made it easier for
artists to get their music heard.
There are today countless platforms from which
artists can promote and share their music without
even having to step inside a recording studio.
According to Tatted Swerve, these platforms have
helped create a revolution in independent music
that is being easily discovered by listeners.
Swerve points out that TikTok is currently the
most influential platform for musicians hoping
to be discovered. As a barometer for everything
trending, TikTok has brought overnight success
to young musicians experimenting with their
sounds online. Swerve cites an example of TikTok
star Conan Gray as a recent success story. Gray
started out sharing videos of himself singing in
his bedroom until he was discovered by Republic
Records and offered a multi-album deal.
Tatted Swerve believes that the age of technology
has shifted the hierarchy of the music industry.
With the ability to record entire albums on
SoundCloud and share them on Spotify, artists
no longer need the help of a record label to
be heard. On asking what he believes the future
holds for artists in the modern world of technology,
Swerve says, “I think that as technology advances,
more platforms will appear, which can help artists
find their audience without ever having to sign a
deal or hand the rights to their
music over to a label.”
Tatted Swerve’s debut single “Come Home” hit Spotify
in 2018. The track featured rap superstar Coi Leray
and with its release, Tatted Swerve gathered loyal
listeners who were drawn in by his unique sound. A
devotee of hip-hop music since his early childhood,
Swerve started recording tracks from the age of
sixteen, devoting himself to creating new sounds
and styles. His latest track “Make A Name”’ is a
hip-hop fable with a smooth beat, which lyrically
explores his rise to the top and establishes him
as a fresh voice with something to say. With plans
to continue his rise within the world of hip-hop,
Swerve says, “I’m dedicated to building a legacy
within the music industry that can outlast trends
and remain relevant to any listener
for years to come.”
The age of technology has streamlined the experience
of creating and releasing music, and Tatted Swerve
believes that these advancements will continue to
help new artists be discovered.
These days what’s considered fashionable is decided by
the Instagram elite. The newest kicks will casually
appear on the pages of the biggest influencers and
sell out in minutes. The fashionable have an undefeatable
power on Instagram. Seventeen-year-old entrepreneur Joa
Enkin known as Joatheplug wields this power and his love
for everything fashionable is visible on social media.
The fashion sense that Joatheplug displays on social
media can be described as casually laidback, with
trending looks quietly appearing in his candid
Instagram posts. Back in December, he appeared
on his Instagram wearing the recognizable classic
owl hoodie from the October’s Very Own clothing
collection. October’s Very Own (OVO) blew up in
popularity when RnB superstar Drake was seen wearing
the same hoodie that Joatheplug wears. Another Instagram
post earlier this month showed him sporting the currently
trending Flower Hoodie from the Candian singer J Balvin’s
merch collection. The young entrepreneur seems to have
used his ability to casually predict and adopt styles that
will be trending, to enter the sacred circle of the
Instagram elite from influencers to rappers. All of
whom can be seen with him in his various posts on
Instagram, where he casually joins them for a picture
while wearing already and soon-to-be trending looks.
Joatheplug has built connections with trending young
celebrities like Lil Pump and Trippie Redd helping
them enhance both their growth and style. Joatheplug
has established himself in the online marketing space
through exclusive giveaways and collaborations. The
teenage entrepreneur is also becoming known for his
dedication to songwriting and his commitment to putting
his unique stamp on the music industry. Fashion can be
fickle, online, someone can be a fashionista one day and
a fashion victim the next. But Joatheplug seems to have
found a formula that keeps his
trends relevant and enviable.
One of the saddest stories ever told is the fresh college
graduate realizing that he/she went to get his bachelor’s
degree in something that he/she would never end up using.
Luckily for Smash, although he was a victim of this, he
was able to land a gig when he was introduced to music
production and engineering.
Ashwin “Smash” Seegobin has always been into music ever
since he was a young child. That passion transformed into
DJ-ing during his teen years, but it was just a hobby at
the time. He now looks to get in touch with his previous
love and make a full-time career out of it.
After graduating with my degree in animation, I was doing
a freelance Job in Brixton. It was in a complex that
housed many offices and studio spaces. A lot of them
were occupied by creatives, from filmmakers, dancers,
music studio producers. I was at this job for like eight
months and got to know some of the music studio owners,
and one day I asked if I could have a dabble for a few
hours. I instantly fell in love with it,
and the rest is history.”
With an evident passion for music and an unmatched work
ethic that drives him day in and day out, Smash is on
his way to a successful career. He wants to be something
much bigger than himself when it is all said and done. He
currently teaches students about music at a degree level.
He loves the impact that he can have on the kids who are
eager to learn from him.
There’s no question that Smash has taken a unique path to
get to the place that he is today. Creating hit songs like
“Road” and “Lockdown” is only the beginning for this
highly knowledgeable cutting-edge musician. He is ready
to revolutionize the music industry as we know it, and
there’s no doubt that he is capable of doing it. Keep
an eye on Ashwin “Smash” Seegobin as time goes on; he
is sure to have an illustrious career ahead of him.

The music industry is one of the most competitive
industries across the globe. It is safe to say that
getting a break in this space and making heads turn
is a feat very few have been able to accomplish, and
musical duo Buddiez has been the latest addition to
the list. Here, members Justin Escalona and Gianni
Taylor talk about creating their latest hit album.
Hailing from Illinois, Escalona and Taylor have a strong
passion for music that led them to create ‘BUDDIEZ’.
Justin says, “We were inspired by The Chainsmokers.
Hence we kept the songs in the pop/EDM genre.” The
tracklist features seven songs, and Escalona has
sung all of them with the assistance of autotune,
skillfully adapting it to their own unique style.
Founder of popular clothing brand ‘1340 Collective’,
Escalona’s passion for music took a turn when
personalities like Mac Miller and Chance The
Rapper started flaunting their clothes. He met
Taylor through a mutual connection, and the two
of them thought of creating an album simply as a
creative pursuit.
“The idea was born because we thought it would be a
fun experience to work on something we were passionate
about,” says Gianni. He wrote all seven songs, and
they created the album in only two weeks. One week
post-release, the album had gained 200K plays, and
today both of them are a sought-after talent with
full-blown music careers.
They have since started working on a second album, and
the music industry is already speculating about their
new music. With the success of the first, both are
living proof that huge success can be achieved if
one pursues their passion wholeheartedly.
