Hawaiian born Emcee/Producer Nohokai Releases New Single "Asphalt" featuring R.A. The Rugged Man
Hawaiian born Emcee/Producer Nohokai has announced details for his upcoming release of his upcoming new album "Mixed Emotions" via Perfect Time Music Group on July 17th, 2020. In anticipation of the album release next month, Nohokai has released the album's lead single "Asphalt" featuring R.A. The Rugged Man across all digital platforms today.
Hawaiian born emcee and Producer, Nohokai, has created an underground hip-hop debut for the ages in the form of his new album "Mixed Emotions". Nohokai has assembled an all-star cast of guests for the album that reads like a lineup worthy of a festival stage including Gift of Gab, R.A. the Rugged Man, Locksmith, Chino XL, and more. Nohokai meshes his boom-bap production style with some venomous lyrical attack from the co-artists that have blessed this body of work with insane verses.
Having previously channeled his creativity as an MC, Nohokai graced stages across the Hawaiian islands with many of the artists featured on the album including Gift of Gab. As he matured, Nohokai realized that performing as an MC wasn't his true calling and instead turned to the studio as his rightful place in the hip-hop ecosystem. Now as a grown man with a growing list of responsibilities, Nohokai has put everything he's got into this full-length debut as a producer. The result is a polished, mature, aggressive sound that rings of the same urgency Nohokai feels for his musical abilities. It's a now-or-never moment for Nohokai and despite the talent and a dope album to show for it, he's having "Mixed Emotions".

New rule (apparently): Where there's a park, there's an angry white woman -- aka "Karen" -- spewing hateful, racist words ... and this winner does her biz in a Southern California park. Meet Torrance "Karen," everyone.
Her tirade went down Wednesday at the Charles H. Wilson Park in Torrance, CA ... because she was pissed a young woman was using a set of stairs to exercise. Now, she claims "Karen" intentionally walked through her workout ... and, as you see in the vid, she said "Jesus" ... which set off "Karen.'
She jumped in headfirst, threatening violence ... "Next time you ever talk to me like that, you're gonna get your ass kicked by my family. They're gonna f**k you up!"
She continued to unload profanities, and then quickly got racial.
"Karen" screamed, "Get the f**k out of this world, get the f**k out of this state, go back to whatever f***ing Asian country you belong in. You little f***ing bitch! This is not your place. This is not your home. We do not want you here!"
The vile woman then tells her to post it on Facebook and threatens more violence, before finally -- and strangely -- laying into her for wearing black clothes in the California sun. Seriously? Pick your beef "Karen!"
The young woman working out told reporters she was in shock over the lady's attack and it's left her shaken and afraid about returning to the park.
Torrance PD is investigating the incident.
Update:
A new video -- which is somehow even more disturbing than the first -- has surfaced of SoCal Karen. The clip shows the woman confront an Asian man in a parking lot and launch a series of racist remarks at him. We're told this incident happened after the first one, but on the same day, and a police report for criminal threats was filed this time. Cops are still working to get in touch with the woman.

Amid civil unrest over the deadliest Memorial Day weekend in five years, a dozen Chicago police officers lounged inside an already-broken-into campaign office for U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush, eating popcorn, drinking coffee and sleeping, while looters damaged the businesses nearby.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot called the misconduct “disgusting” and apologized to the congressman for having to deal with such “incredible indignity.”
The shocking scene unfolded during the early morning hours of June 1, the mayor said. It was caught on the security cameras inside Rush’s office at 5401 S. Wentworth Ave. The office is part of a strip mall that also includes a health center, a nail salon, a cell phone store and other retail shops.
The mayor said the tapes show three supervisors, referred to as “white shirts” by the mayor and police superintendent, and 10 officers.
Lightfoot vowed to “take the strongest possible action” against the officers and showed photos at the news conference demanding they turn themselves in.
“You know who you are, you know what you did, don’t make us come find you,” Lightfoot said.
“Not one of these officers will be allowed to hide behind the badge … not in my city, not in your city,” she added.
Lightfoot fought back tears as she talked about being a black woman in America and fighting every day against injustice.
“The actions of these officers — the deplorable lack of responsibility to do their job at a time when the city and their fellow officers needed them most — their conduct will confirm the perception that too many people on the South and the West Sides [have] … that police don't care if black and brown communities were looted and burned,” Lightfoot said.
“If we don’t harness this moment to rethink what ‘serving and protecting’ means, we will never do it,” Lightfoot said. “This moment presents us with an opportunity not to nibble around the edges, but to be bold.”

Roger Goodell and the NFL have talked the talk ... and now, they're starting to walk the walk -- pledging to donate a quarter of a billion dollars to fight social injustice.
The NFL confirmed through its website it will make the $250 million donation throughout the next 10 years.
The money will go toward charities and organizations designed to "combat systemic racism and support the battle against injustices faced by African Americans."
The NFL report also says the league would be willing to work with Colin Kaepernick on social justice initiatives.
An unnamed NFL source told NFL.com, "We wouldn't be where we are today without the work Colin and other players have led off."
"It would be awesome to engage Colin on some of the work we are doing. He's doing real impactful work. Getting him in some way would be amazing for us. There's a lot of work to do to get to that point. We're certainly open and willing to do that."
A pretty HUGE statement -- though it's unclear why the NFL is keeping the identity of that person a secret.
The NFL.com report also says league owners -- who have been criticized for not speaking out enough in the fight for social justice -- approved the allocation of the league funds.
Of course, the NFL had already been donating cash to the cause in an agreement with its Players Association ... but this new gesture could multiply the org.'s initial charity tenfold.
NFL.com also reports the league has agreed to work with players to help "address criminal justice reform, police reform and economic and educational advancement for African Americans."
As we previously reported ... Goodell said in a strong statement last week the NFL is sorry for the way it handled kneeling protests in the past -- and insists he's now committed fully to helping the cause.

Young Buck is really going through it right now. His music career has stalled, which has created financial problems for the Nashville rapper.
According to court documents obtained by Bossip, the 39-year old, born David Brown, has filed for bankruptcy.
Buck is completely dependent on his girlfriend, who provides him with a roof over his head, her car to drive, food and other essentials.
The former member of G-Unit lists his assets as $100 in jewelry and $100 in cash. He owns the rights to three mixtapes ... "10 Bodies," "10 Bricks" and "10 Bullets."
The tapes brought in a total of $35,000 in revenue. Buck is due royalties from them, but isn't receiving any and has no ideas who is. He doesn't own any property and has no money in the bank.
If that's not bad enough, court docs indicate Buck owes $50,239 to the IRS and another $106,000 in back child support to the two mothers of his children in Georgia and Tennessee.
Buck specifically requested that 50 Cent and G-Unit be barred from collecting on any money from the bankruptcy filing.
Despite being an integral part of G-Unit when the group was at it's peak and earning millions of dollars during that time, Buck has nothing to show for it.
He no longer has a business or personal relationship with 50. He's now waiting for a judge to rule on his bankruptcy.

Video After The Jump
Video of a vile, racist tirade directed at an East Village security guard made the rounds on social media Tuesday and Wednesday and is serving as yet another example of bigotry and hate existing within our society.
“I was raised better than that,” said Rodney Jackson, a black man and security guard at the Pinnacle on the Park apartments. “I was raised to respect everyone no matter their skin color. That's just not my character."
That was Jackson’s response to the ugly, incendiary berating he took Tuesday morning while he was just tying to do his job. He said the woman was thrown out of a party by a tenant and took her anger out on him.
“I can tell by how angry she was and how she was acting that it came from deep inside her,” Jackson said. “She really meant it."
Jackson pulled his phone out and pressed record moments after the woman began to unleash her slurry of hate and ignorance. He then put his phone in his shirt pocket to keep his hands free for protection.
Thankfully, no blows came. Just the same hateful word.
Over and over again.
Jackson’s mother Shani Crawley couldn’t believe what her son had to go through.
“You never wake up thinking I may be the next headline, my child may be the next – you know,” Crawley said. “And that is the scary part."
Crawley first wants an apology for her son, and she also wants this type of behavior to stop for the sake of all who face discrimination based on the color of their skin.
Jackson said he invited the woman into the building lobby and called her a cab. In the video, calm and collected, Jackson can be heard telling the woman that he did her a favor even after she hurled slurs at him. The woman went back outside but got into a confrontation with others, and Jackson was forced to intervene.
“Especially with the times going on right now, it really hurt me as a black man in America," Jackson said Wednesday.
Jackson’s ability to keep his composure throughout the tirade is on full display in the video, and thousands on social media outraged by the encounter made sure to let him know they had his back.
“That means a lot to me,” he said. “That shows me that there is change being made and I really do appreciate that."
Despite twice calling a cab for the party guest, Jackson said she left on foot. He had never seen her in the building before the confrontation. While he did report the incident to his supervisors and the property owners, Jackson told NBC 7 he decided against calling the police.
