Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Bruce Schroeder twice ripped into Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger for his line of questioning as Kyle Rittenhouse testified.
The jurors were no in the courtroom at the, but the scene played out on live television.
Attorney and CNN political commentator Bakari Sellers weighed in on what he saw and heard.
While acknowledging that Binger was a "habitual line stepper," Sellers felt like Schroeder's behavior was over the top.
"This back and forth does happen when you are in a trial," Sellers said. "However, you have to look at the totality of this judge's actions. You have to look at the rulings that he's made. I said it yesterday, and I'll be extremely blunt. It appears that this judge is auditioning for the cameras and looking for his next gig on Fox News or OAN (One America News)."

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) – Prosecutors on Wednesday formally charged former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III for allegedly driving drunk when he crashed into another car, killing the driver.
Ruggs, 22, was arrested after the 2-vehicle collision in the west Las Vegas valley last Tuesday. The driver of the other car, 23-year-old Tina Tintor, & her dog both died.
Prosecutors allege Ruggs was driving 156 miles per hour just before the crash & had a blood-alcohol content of .161, twice the legal limit.
The ex-Raider was released on house arrest after posting bond last week & did not appear in court for a status check Wednesday, though his attorneys were present.
A criminal complaint charges Ruggs with DUI resulting in death, reckless driving resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm & reckless driving resulting in substantial bodily harm, all felonies, plus misdemeanor possession of a gun under the influence of alcohol.
Ruggs could face anywhere from 2 years upwards of 50 years in prison if convicted & would not receive probation.

Vanessa Bryant has filed four trademarks that indicate the start of Kobe Bryant-themed wines:
TMZ Sports also confirmed the news, noting Vanessa signed off on the paperwork under the applicant of Kobe Bryant LLC.
Kobe was known as the Black Mamba during his playing career, although Vino was another of his many nicknames. The Hall of Fame player died in a helicopter crash in January 2020.
His wife Vanessa has remained active with Bryant's estate since then, filing a trademark for "Mamba and Mambacita" with the intention of using it for clothing and shoes, per TMZ Sports. She also reportedly filed a trademark for "KB24" to help build a sports and entertainment empire.
In April, Bryant's estate severed ties with Nike after the player's post-retirement contract ran out.
"I was hoping to forge a lifelong partnership with Nike that reflects my husband's legacy," Vanessa said in a statement, via Nick DePaula of ESPN. "We will always do everything we can to honor Kobe and Gigi's legacies. That will never change."

Hours after Kyle Rittenhouse broke down on the stand and cried in front of a packed courtroom ... LeBron James trolled the 18-year-old, accusing the alleged Kenosha shooter of putting on a show.
"What tears?????" the L.A. Lakers superstar said in a social media post. "I didn't see one. Man knock it off!"
The NBA player then took the mocking one step further ... adding three laughing emojis and writing, "That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court."
Rittenhouse was on the stand trying to convince a courtroom that he acted in self-defense when he shot at people during an Aug. 2020 protest in Wisconsin.
The teenager -- who's been hit with multiple criminal charges, including two counts of homicide -- said, "I didn't do anything wrong. I defended myself."
Yet at one point during his testimony, he got so emotional trying to explain his actions ... he began sobbing and couldn't get words to leave his mouth.
Rittenhouse broke down in front of the microphone -- forcing a short break in the proceedings -- but James clearly believed it was all a ruse to try to draw sympathy.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 22-year old Texas A&M University senior has shown no brain activity after she was injured during Friday's disaster at the Astroworld Festival.
Bharti Shahani has been in critical condition & is on a ventilator.
Shahani, her sister Namrata Shahani & her cousin Mohit Bellani went to the concert together, but lost each other when the crowd surged.
"Once one person fell, people started toppling like dominos. It was like a sinkhole. People were falling on top of each other," Bellani said. "There were like layers of bodies on the ground, like two people thick. We were fighting to come up to the top & breathe to stay alive."
Bharti was taken to Houston Methodist Hospital by ambulance. Paramedics gave her CPR on the way there.
But Namrata Shahani & Bellani had both lost their cell phones. They couldn't find Bharti.
"Once we let go of her hand, the next time we saw her, we were in the ER," Namrata said.
Bharti and Namrata's parents went to NRG Park when they heard the news. They then rushed to multiple hospitals before they found Bharti.
"They took us to her room & she was bleeding & on a ventilator. Me & my wife were too shocked. We can't even stand in there," her father, Sunny Shahani, said.
They say Bharti had suffered multiple heart attacks.
"I think she lost oxygen for 10 minutes one time and seven minutes at another time," Bellani explained. "So her brain stem was swollen to like 90 percent almost."

LYNN, Mass. (AP) — A white Massachusetts woman has pleaded guilty to assault and civil rights charges and been sentenced to probation for driving her car toward 3 Black women & their & children outside a cookie shop & yelling racial slurs at them, prosecutors said.
Rhonda Wozniak, 61, of Lynn, was sentenced Tuesday in Lynn District Court to 9 months of probation in the encounter in the parking lot of a Swampscott cookie shop. She was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service & stay away from the victims.
The women & the children, who ranged in age from 5 to 12, were returning to their cars after visiting the shop on the evening of July 28, 2020, when Wozniak “came speeding toward them in her motor vehicle, nearly hitting them,” according to the prosecution’s account.
When 1 of the women asked her to slow down, Wozniak shouted racial insults & slurs “& told them to go back where they belong,” prosecutors said.
“The defendant’s action were harmful & offensive, not only to the victims, but also to the community at large,” prosecutors said.
Wozniak was identified through her vehicle’s license plate, which was captured on video by 1 of the victims & on surveillance video from a business.
Wozniak’s attorneys, Doug Ryan and Joe Simons, said in a statement that they had been preparing for a trial but that their client “ultimately decided to plead guilty & in exchange was sentenced to probation.”

Travis Scott might act like he didn't know how bad things really were at this year's Astroworld Fest - but his own posts & words demonstrate ... the dude knew how his fans got down & often encouraged them to risk their safety.
There are a number of still photos Trav has posted on his Instagram account from over the years that show fans of his injured to varying degrees ... from what appears to be simply attending concerts of his.
Many of the times he spotlighted a certain individual who was injured ... and seemed to glorify & glamorize it, with captions like ... "SHE BROKE HER HAND AND SHE DOESN'T GIVE A F***!!!" or "IT'S NOT A SHOW UNTIL SOMEONE PASS OUT."
In another one that's especially cringeworthy in light of this weekend's tragedy -- it's a post of a young man laid out on the floor, presumably from one of Travis' shows, with the rapper writing, "TO THE KID THAT DIDN'T SURVIVE THE RODEO. UR A HERO IN MU BOOK."
Travis has gotten in trouble in the past for encouraging people to rush the stage. In 2015, he pleaded guilty to charges of reckless conduct stemming from an incident at Lollapalooza. In 2017, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after law enforcement said he incited a riot at a show in Arkansas.
