Video After The Jump

Getting choked for 20 seconds at an Usher concert is not the way Jamie Foxx wanted to kick off his Grammy weekend I'm sure. But if a report on TMZ is accurate that's exactly what happened last night (February 10).

According to the report Jamie got into a heated discusson with a guy at the Belvedere Red party at Avalon. The convo turned violent when the man put Foxx in a headlock. It took security about 20 seconds to free Foxx from the man's grasp. After which both men were escorted from the building.

Whether or not he would have won the fight had it last longer is a moot point.  It's an L anytime you get thrown out of an event like that when you're someone of Jamie's stature.

Jamie is one hell of a funny comedian and great singer, but he's now 0-2 in street fights.

LL Cool J reportedly broke him off proper when the two were filming 'Any Given Sunday' years ago.

12348788858?profile=originalMarch 3, 1991 Los Angeles, California police officers are caught on camera beating Rodney King almost to death following a high speed chase. The nation was outraged, in particular the black and hispanic communities because this type of activity was far too common in their neighborhoods.

On April 29, 1992 all four officers accused of excessive force were acquitted, setting off a powder keg of racial tension, destruction, death and mayhem in L.A..

In total 53 people were killed, thousands were injured and an estimated $1billion dollars in damage was done to the city.

Amongst those running around at that time mad, angry and looking for somone or something to take their anger out on was Kool G Rap, Sir Jinx of the Lench Mob and Tupac Shakur.

KGR sat down with VladTV and gave them the real on what happened.

"Me and Pac met down in the L.A. riots. I was out there working on my album [Live and Let Die]. We was out there in the riots poppin burners off and all that sh*t. Me, Pac, Jinx and my man Guch," G Rap says. "After the Rodney King verdict and everybody went f*cking ballistic. You know what... everybody was bugging out and doing they own thing they didn't notice no 2Pac & G Rap at that time.

Pac was expressing his sense of anger for the verdict, he was shooting out store windows and sh*t like that. As dangerous as the hood was back then and to this day. It seemed like this was one of the only times you could feel safe if you was a black person because all the anger was directed towards whites at this time, because it seemed like the [not guilty] verdict made it a race issue. Where you had 12 all white jurors and you had videotape documentation of what happened to this man, so it became a race issue."

Now I don't want people to read this and think I'm glorifying violence or what Pac and other people did at the time. I'm just pointing out another example of how Pac didn't just rap about things in his songs and go home to a plush crib and forget the struggle. He truly practiced what he preached.

Check out the rest of the interview as G Rap compares Pac to legendary soul singer Marvin Gaye.

Some people will do anything to break into the world of entertainment. For a growing number of women that means cosmetic surgery to enhance their butts, faces and breasts.

For aspiring singer/model Claudia Aderotimi aka Carmella James, a botched butt enhancement surgery proved deadly when she suffered a heart attack after silicone got into her bloodstream.

Claudia made arrangements to have the procedure done for around $1300, through emails and texts with a go-between, who is now a witness in the case for police.

It was the 2nd time she had come to America to have it done. After the 1st procedure she told her ex-boyfriend, Paul Djimo it hurt so bad she would never do it again, but obviously changed her mind.

"Claudia had big dreams, she wanted to be a superstar," Djimo told The Telegraph. "It sounded like it cost a lot so I assumed it was all done properly. She didn't need it. She was a pretty girl, anyone could see that. But she told me having the injections made her feel better about herself. Every girl has something they don't like about their looks and she mentioned her bum a few times. The industry she was trying to break into is competitive and dominated by US stars. And over there the size of your bum is extremely important."

12348778480?profile=original
The procedures are illegal in both the U.K. and in the U.S., but an underground black market where unskilled, untrained amateurs perform the enhancements is booming.

The Daily Mail reports that Claudia wrote about wanting to become a star..

"I’m really interested in becoming a full-time actress and model. I also dance and write music. I truly believe I can take the world by storm — I just need an agent." she wrote on one website.

Police are now searching for a transgender person who performed the surgery on Claudia and also a hip augmentation on one of her friends.

Doctors suspect the silicone was accidentally injected into a vein instead of the flesh, and that ultimately caused her death.

Two Houston women have sued Dipset Capo, Jim Jones for showing footage of their bitties in his video for "Summertime" without permission

Sharie Johnson and Samantha Stotts filed a lawsuit on Wednesday (February 9) in New York.

Their lawyer claims the women didn't know they were being filmed and covered up as soon as they realized. They were later "horrified" when they found out the footage from May, 6 2010 at Miami Beach, Florida was being shown in a music video by Jones.

The Associated Press report doesn't specify the amount of money, if any the women are asking for in damages.

"These rappers rap about all the sh*t that I do rarely/ I’m like really half a billie n*gga/ Really you got baby money/ Keep it real with n*ggas, N*ggas aint got my lady money" Jay-Z "H.A.M."

Jay-Z is forever throwing subliminal jabs at rappers, some are easier to catch than others. It's pretty clear though, he was taking a jab at Birdman and Wayne on "H.A.M." with the "baby money" line.

While not engaging in a war of words, which he rarely if ever does, Stunna does acknowledge he heard the line loud and clear and responded via twitter.

12348785086?profile=originalIf it bothered him he's not showing it as he dropped more "baby money" on a new Maybach Landaulet for about $1.4 million. Courtesy of his million dollar bet on the Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl.

I already spent that money on a Landaulet Maybach" Birdman told XXL. “My son [Weezy] is a Green Bay fan. I’m a diehard Saints fan, but he’s a die-hard Green Bay fan. So I just went hard. And I believed Green Bay was going to win, they pulled it off. My son knows a lot of about sports, so I was just like whatever he’s going to rock with I’m going to rock with hard."

Stunna says to expect him to drop a $5 million dollar bet on Floyd Mayweather Jr if ever fights Manny Pacquiao.

I’m a fan of him, whoever he fights I think he’s gonna beat, so when he fights Pacquiao I’m going to bet 5 million.” Birdman says

As for Jay-Z, I think it's time he stops throwing subliminals and start naming names. The mere fact he's even throwing shots Wayne's direction means he might be feeling some type of way about Weezy's success.

Who do you think would win a lyrical battle between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne? And peep pics of the Maybach Landaulet below.

12348784059?profile=originalVibe Holdings is getting a much needed shot in the arm with news that businessman Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. is set to become chairman.  Vibe Holdings is the parent company of Vibe Magazine as well as Soul Train.

Magic and investment firm Yucaipa Cos. put together an "eight figure deal" to make it happen.

"We know where they are and we know how to reach them," Johnson said. "They are loyal to our brands."

It's no secret Vibe Magazine in particular has struggled mightily over the last several years. Once distributed monthly, the magazine now is only delivered 6 times a year. In June 2009 the publication shut down due to a lack of advertisement dollars.

The magazine was originally founded by Quincy Jones and Time Warner in 1992, then sold to the Wicks Group in 2006.

Vibe relaunched in September 2009 with more focus placed on digital media through Vibe.com. After both were bout by InterMedia and Blackrock Digital.

Now the former NBA All-Star, Johnson looks to take not only the magazine, but the entire company to new heights.

Vibe Holdings is also the parent company of magazine publisher Uptown Media and more than 25 websites.

"We're open for more business," Johnson said. "We have an opportunity to take this to a whole other level."

Information from the LA Times, NY Times and 3Threatmedia contributed to this report.

12348776072?profile=originalNicki Minaj has pulled off a rare feat as her 'Pink Friday' album rises to number 1 on the charts 3 months after it's release with 45,000 units sold.

The album originally made it's debut at number 2 behind Kanye West's 'My Beautiful Dark Fantasy', but it's proven to have legs and could make more history.  The single "Moment For Life" is set to take over the number 1 spot on Billboard's rap chart today.

Billboard reports that the last album to make such a climb was Ray Charles' "Genius Loves Company", which finally hit No. 1 in its 25th week.

Nicki tweeted the good news to her fans yesterday.

12348777070?profile=original
Part of the recent surge could be due to casual fans who saw Taylor Swift rapping Minaj's "Super Bass" lyrics at a radio station.

Whatever the reason for the climb, Nicki deserves credit. She looks to be on her way to superstardom

So far 'Pink Friday' has sold 1,035,000 copies.

Iron Mike Tyson really seems to be in good spirits these days. The former heavyweight boxing champion and his wife just welcomed a baby into the world a couple of weeks ago, and he's landed a couple of high profile movie gigs.

In this interview with with DaTruthBoxing, Mike talks about what he's been up to, and what his plans are for 2011.

"I just finished filming Hangover 2, it was awesome. God willing we're going to go to New York to start shooting Men In Black 3," Mike said.

Iron Mike said he's finally learned to relax and not carry a chip on his shoulder.

"It's just so ironic my life is going in this direction. At one time if someone made fun of me I took myself too seriously. But life's too short, you have to enjoy life and be happy." he said

Mike talked about the highlight of his career. Becoming the youngest fighter at age-20 to win the heavyweight championship of the world. His only regret was that his mentor Cus D'Amato wasn't around to see it. He even said he might become a trainer himself.

It's no secret that the heavyweight division is in dismal shape these days, Tyson has a theory on why that is the case.

"It's horrible, not because the fighters are bad, there's nobody that's a personality that enjoy the people that are not the boxing fans. We're losing fans who are avid boxing fans. We need some excitement, we need something like MMA. When you watch a fight, after it's over in a professional boxing match, it's dead," Tyson said. "But when you go to MMA, when the bout is over intermission is a party! Intermission is off the hook, I think I'm in the club!. The [boxing} fighters are good, but we need that entertainment."

On the subject of a potential Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr fight, Mike weighed in on that was well.

"That would be a beautiful fight to watch. If Floyd wants to win this fight he has to be at his best. Can Floyd win this fight? Yes he can win this fight, but he has to be on his [A] game consistently moving with his head and his counter punching."

Coach Tom Walter and Kevin Jordan

Video After The Jump

Not many people would volunteer to donate a kidney, especially to someone they barely know, but that is exactly what Wake Forest baseball coach Tom Walter did.

Freshman outfielder Kevin Jordan suffered from ANCA vasculitis, a condition in which abnormal antibodies were causing his white blood cells to attack healthy tissue in his body. He needed a kidney and none of his family members were a match.

Walter decided to have himself tested and he was a match. After thinking it over and talking with his family Walter made the decision donate a kidney to Kevin.

12348780495?profile=original
"When we recruit our guys, we talk about family and making sacrifices for one another. It is something we take very seriously. I had the support of my family, Wake Forest and my team. To me it was a no-brainer," Walter said before the operation.

The operation took place Monday (February 7) at Emory Hospital in Atlanta and both men are expected to make a full recovery.

While doctors aren't sure if Kevin will play baseball again, he has his health thanks to his coach.

"If [Jordan] makes it back to the playing field, that would be a great story. But I just want him to have a normal life and have the chance to be a normal college student," Walter said.

Kevin's father Keith, feels like a higher power led his son to Wake Forest and Walter.

"It's like divine intervention when you look at everything that happened and how we even got to Wake Forest," Jordan said. "And then to meet a coach like Coach Walter and look at some of the things he had been through and done, and then to now do this, you just can't express it in words."
