The first 300 customers who purchased a $138 package got to meet the pop star and take a photo with her. RiRi, wearing a cropped buttoned top, pocketed skirt, and gold bangles, clutched her fragrance as she posed for photographers. She exited the mall as throngs of fans waited outside to catch a glimpse of the Barbados beauty.RiRi will provide the halftime entertainment at Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game at L.A.’s Staples Center. Video After The Jump

When school teacher Solona Islam got caught in a financial bind she turned to the world's oldest profession, hoping it could bail her out. Instead she lost her dream job as a teacher and needed to be bailed out of jail after being arrested for prostitution.

"I was scared more than anything else because I was thinking of my son. If I do go to jail, what am I supposed to do?" she said.

According to Islam she went on a date through an escort service. When she was offered more money to have sex, she said yes. The guy turned out to be an undercover cop.

She says credit card debt and the cost of caring for her 18-month old son caused her to make a bad decision.

"I can't even describe what I've been thinking the whole week, just pure pain," she says.

Islam was an algebra teacher at McClellan High School, the same school she had graduated from as valedictorian.

She pleaded guilty to the prostitution charge and paid the $640 fine, then waited to hear what school official would say when they found out. She also felt like she let her students down. adding, "I just love everything about my job, and love my students more than anything else in the world."

After the Little Rock, Arkansas school placed her on paid leave, Islam decided to resign.

"They can only see Ms Islam the teacher, not Solona the person," she said.

Armed with a masters degree and on her was to getting a Ph.D, Islam hopes to put this all behind her.

This is an incredible play.

The catch and dunk by Las Angeles Clippers player Blake Griffin is dope, but it's the bounce pass by Washington Wizards' rookie guard John Wall that is just ridiculous.

You wouldn't like 20-year old Sean Thorpe when he's drunk and angry as several men found out the hard way.

Thorpe from the U.K. town of Mildenhall has been sentenced to 23 months in jail for brutally beating up four men in two seperate assaults, one of which was caught on CCTV.

In the attack that was caught on tape, the hulking Thorpe can be seen punking the hell out of 3 men by himself.

12348790290?profile=originalSean Thorpe

Jason Brown, Trevor Woollard and Mark Jones were attacked for no apparent reason as they walked home in Mildenhall. Thorpe is seen pushing, punching and kicking them. At one point he picks Brown up and drops him on his head causing a gash.

Thorpe's lawyer said his client couldn't control his temper when he was drinking.

Thorpe had also beaten up a man several months prior in a similar incident.

Madness....

The idea of supergroups is generally better than the execution. While Slaughterhouse has done a great job of making it work, we're still waiting like dope fiends for product from The Four Horsemen (Canibus, Ras Kass, Kurupt & Killah Priest) as well as CRS (Kanye West, Pharell Williams & Lupe Fiasco).

With that being said, I have high hopes for the latest supergroup to emerge, Pulled Over By Cops. Consisting of Freddie "Gangster" Gibbs, The Cool Kids, Chip Tha Ripper and Bun B.

All are continuing work on their own careers while participating in the group. Bun will only participate sporadically according to Fakeshoredrive. While the Blended Babies will handle the bulk of the production duties.

Check out theur new track "Authority" below featuring Nate Santos on the hook.

The Dipset young gun sits down with Ozone in this exclusive interview.

Recent Legal Trouble:

With all me selling weed shit that was stupid, like come on man… For one I wasn’t there, I wasn’t in a session at that time. It’s my studio, yes I have my own studio but I wasn’t there, I haven’t been at my studio for about a week., you dig what I’m saying. So it’s in the area where I’m kind of like a target. I’m kind of like, what Ross said Rolls Royce you they favorite nigga, you know what I’m saying, my situation is like that. I drive through a town I’m the only , you know what I mean, young, black, fly dude moving like that. I guess it’s kind of like they don’t understand it…

DipSet Back Together:

Yeah and that’s going to be a good look. And you know I’ll still be doing what I’m doing on my own time. Just like how Jim doing what he doing on his own time and how Cam doing what he doing on his own time. That is what made us so great at the end of the day anyway, because just as much as we together as whole we just do the damn thing. Us as individuals can stand alone, so that was always the beautiful part about Diplomats. Shout out to Freaky the backbone of the set, you know what I mean. All you promoters doing flyers stop not putting Freaky on the flyers, Freaky is DipSet. He might just slap you if he see you.

Working with Dr. Dre:

It was hard, that was a beautiful experience. Dre had Jim in the booth like an hour and a half. But it was like that’s Dre and he is such a perfectionist; you know what I’m saying. He knows what he wants to hear on his beats and it’s like if you going to have anybody keep you in the booth a full hour and half why not it be Dr. Dre?

Regan Era Mixtape:

The Regan Era, the long awaited. First and foremost I would like to apologize before anything to all my fans, you know what I’m saying. It’s definitely going to be well worth the wait though, I promise you. I’m just putting on the finishing touches on it, you know what I mean. Like I said it’s been so long I felt like I really need to put out a masterpiece. The mixtape going to be like an album it’s going to be a limited amount of freestyles, a whole lot of just original music, you know what I’m saying. I’m not worried about putting it out in stores. I feel like I owe that to the people, you know what I’m saying. I owe that to everybody that has been supporting me… I got enough music… I been in the studio, I got my own studio working so it’s just locked under lock and key. I’m getting ready to release like within the next week… I’m shooting a video for every song on there.

A bus driver in Florida learned the heard way you better guard your grill when an irate passenger is in your face.

79-year old Tassos Kostopoulos had just informed a lady she had to get off the bus because she didn't have the $1.75 fee. When she turned to leave he closed the door and it hit her.

At that point she became heated.

"Do you wanna get punched in the face for hitting me with that f*cking door? I'll sue your ass," she said.

The driver pointed to a camera letting her know she was being recorded, but that didn't faze her

"You are lucky that I am not being violent right now. You are so lucky," she yelled.

Not soon afterwards, she slapped the driver, knocking the glasses off his face.

What else could he have done? Guess you gotta charge that one to the game.

Police are still looking for the woman.

12348620698?profile=originalAs I watched the opening 20 minutes or so of the Grammys last Sunday, I couldn't help but wonder why Martina McBride and Florence Welch were taking part in a tribute to Aretha Franklin.

It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with their singing styles. Mcbride is a country singer and Welch is more pop/rock.  They just didn't mesh with the other 3 performers, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson and Yolanda Adams.

One person who would have been a great fit decided to skip the event altogether because she wasn't asked to participate.

Fantasia Barrino, who won a 2011 Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance told  Ontheredcarpet.com she just couldn't sit there in the audience and watch, so she stayed home.

"They were honoring someone who is my idol, Aretha Franklin, and there is no way I could have sat there and not got the happy feet and wanting to jump on the mic because she is my favorite so I felt like, you know, at the end of the day I should have been on that stage so, I kind of did my own little thing," Barrino said.

The Grammys' producers seem to be completely out of touch with the audience. They also butchered late soul legend Teddy Pendergrass' tribute by having country group Lady Antebellum perform it.

Hopefully, enough people complained and they learned their lesson.

Ice Cube in Talks to Star in 21 Jump Street Remake

12348685258?profile=original

Ice Cube may star in Columbia Pictures’ film version of the popular 1980s’ TV show 21 Jump Street.

According to Variety, the rejuvenated series already features Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as undercover cops investigating crimes in high schools and colleges. If he accepts the role, Cube would play their leader, Captain Dickson.

Hill and Tatum will served as executive producers, while the show’s late co-creator Stephen J. Cannell will share producer credits with Neal H. Moritz.

The original show aired on Fox between April 12, 1987 and April 27, 1991. The revamped series is set to go into production in April.

Ice Cube recently starred in Rampart alongside Woody Harrelson. The Oren Moverman-helmed film chronicles the drama surrounding the 1990s Rampart scandal. Cube also appeared in last year’s Lottery Ticket and is in negotiations for Warner Bros.’ New Year’s Eve, which also stars Ashton Kutcher and Robert De Niro.

12348785662?profile=original$9 million dollars worth of pure opium has been seized at New York's JFK airport.

The drugs were hidden inside several acrylic cats with a shipment address for a location in New York City according to the New York Daily News.

Investigators became suspicious of the 205 pound shipment from Thailand. X-Rays revealed plastic wrapped packages that turned out to be opium.

So far, no arrests have been made, but Robert Perez of the U.S. Customs and Border Patrols said the January 21 bust shows they are on top of things.

"This interception illustrates CBP's ability to utilize the right mix of intelligence, technology, and officer expertise," he said.

12348781895?profile=originalMuch has been made of the controversial sales figures announced for Lil Kim's 'Black Friday' mixtape.

Kim announced via twitter that the tape moved 113,000 copies in the 1st 28 hours.

Since then, some critics and even Kim's number 1 nemesis, Nicki Minaj have scoffed at the numbers.

Laughing at Kim doesn't stop the fact that the wolves are circling Nicki right now.  Her first time manager, Fendi teamed with Lil Kim on the "Black Friday" video

In an interview with  Rap-Up yesterday (February 17), Kimmy Blanco attempted to clear the air regarding the sales numbers and Nicki.

RU: What do you say to those who question the authenticity of those figures?

Kim: At the end of the day, you’re always going to have your haters. We need the haters. There was actually a representative at PayPal who basically didn’t really confirm or deny it, but also [said] that they’re very happy and proud of the success of Lil’ Kim. I think numbers in other areas speak for themselves. I mean, why aren’t they questioning the Black Friday [video] being at 2.5 [million views] in less than 18 hours? Why aren’t they questioning that? What’s the difference? How can you add up one thing and not the other? I just feel like people pick and choose the area that they want to attack [laughs].

RU: Do you know the current sales numbers?

Kim: No, I actually don’t know right now. I have a team that kinda checks up on all that. We’ll keep you posted.

RU: Nicki Minaj laughed off your sales claims. Did you see that?

Kim: I heard about it. I didn’t see it actually for myself, but to be honest with you, homegirl is basically obsolete to me right now. She’s doing a lot of lame stuff. She’s so lame to me right now—she’s always been, but now really. At the end of the day, her sales can be questioned also. Not to say she didn’t have the build-up, but the only thing you kept hearing before her album dropped was nobody liked it, it was wack. Don’t get me wrong, she might have a couple songs that are OK, but who cares. The haters will be haters, that’s their job, and we need them.

I think the interview might spawn even more questions until people see actual proof, but you can't question the fact that Kim is building a nice buzz for herself right now.
