Soulja Boy won a big bet when the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday.
The SODMG boss placed a $200,000 bet on the Ravens. He explained his simple betting strategy to TMZ.
"I've been living in L.A. for a couple of years so of course I wanted to see [the 49ers] win," Soulja told TMZ. "[But] I play with the Ravens on the game NFL Madden 13. That's my team who I play with. So I bet 200K, and I knew Ray Lewis wasn't gonna lose. It's his last year playing, he's not gonna lose the Super Bowl."
Kids don't try that betting strategy at home, but congrats to Soulja.
Lil Wayne has offered up an explanation for his expletive-filled tirade aimed at a cameraman at DirecTV's Celebrity Beach Bowl game over the weekend.
As we previously reported, Weezy went after the cameraman and had to be restrained. The incident was caught on tape.
"Look at me motherf*cker, look at me when you apologize!" Wayne yelled. In an interview with EOnline'sAlicia Quarles, the Young Money rapper said the cameraman bumped into him.
"One of these camera dudes just pushed me right now. I don't like being touched by other people I don't tell to touch me," Wayne said. "So I'm gonna get out of the building, because if I touch somebody I go to jail because they're not the color of me. They not the same color I am, do you know how that go. But to them f*ck you."
So there you have it. Do you think Wayne overreacted?
NEW ORLEANS -- Super Bowl coaches John and Jim Harbaugh will have plenty to talk about at future family reunions about the time they met in perhaps the strangest game in Super Bowl history.
John's Baltimore Ravens held on for a 34-31 victory vs. Jim's San Francisco 49ers that came down to the Niners' fourth-and-goal from the 5 that fell incomplete, a furious finish that might well never have happened but for a bizarre 33-minute delay for a power outage that turned the game's momentum inside-out.
Jim harangued the referees for what he felt was defensive holding on the game's crucial play and John executed smart strategy at the game's conclusion, ordering his punter to take an intentional safety while killing eight seconds, allowing the Ravens to end the game with a free kick.
And then the brothers walked to midfield and spoke briefly, patting each other quickly, and the confetti flew. The underdog Ravens served as pigskin proxy for their coach, who is 15 months older, and one Lombardi Trophy better, than his kid brother — but barely.
"How could it be any other way?" John Harbaugh said. "It's never perfect, never pretty, but it's us. It was hard (going against Jim), the hardest thing I've ever experienced. I told him I loved him. He said 'Congratulations.'"
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco made good on his boast prior to the season that he is an elite quarterback as he was named Most Valuable Player. He threw three first-half touchdown passes to cap a postseason in which he threw 11 TD passes with no interceptions.
"It's unbelievable," he said on the victory stand. "I'll tell you what: We don't make it easy. But that's the way the city of Baltimore is, that's the way we are."
Linebacker Ray Lewis ended his career with Super Bowl glory. "It's no greater way as a champ to go out on your last ride with the men that I went out with," he said, "with my teammates."
Kaepernick threw incompletions to Michael Crabtree on second and third down on the 49ers' final drive to set up a last crack at the end zone. A fade for Crabtree fell incomplete, though perhaps cornerback Jimmy Smith got away with a hold. Replays showed Smith, who had broken up the pass for Crabtree on a short out pattern one play prior, had a fistful of Crabtree's jersey.
"Yes, there's no question in my mind there was pass interference and then a hold on Crabtree on the last one," Jim Harbaugh said.
Said Crabtree: "When somebody grabs you, you always expect a call, but you can't whine to the refs. It is what it is."
The Ravens led 28-6 before the outage because they were bolder and tougher and because the favored 49ers made critical mistakes, beginning with the first play from scrimmage, when they inexplicably lined up in an illegal formation, and the first play of the second half, when they gave up a 108-yard kickoff return to Jacoby Jones.
Shortly after that, banks of lights at the Superdome went out. Ravens cornerback Corey Graham was standing right at midfield, on the 50-yard stripe and in the center of the NFL logo. Graham threw his hands up into the darkness, as if he knew what the power outage would mean to his team's momentum. And Graham was right.

Good thing for Graham and his teammates they were able to stave off the 49ers' furious run and, like the lights high above them in the Superdome, they were re-energized just in time to make a stop on that fourth-and-goal and become Super Bowl champions for the second time in team history.
Two field goals by rookie kicker Justin Tucker in the fourth quarter provided the only six points the Ravens would get after the delay, against the 23 points the Niners put up. But that's all Baltimore needed. It was as if not even an unforeseen event could stop the Ravens and Lewis' attempt to end his career by going out on top.
This Super Bowl was a festival of firsts. Brothers had never before been opposing coaches. No Super Bowl had ever been held up for so long. And the 49ers had never before thrown an interception in five previous Super Bowls, all wins.
And when Colin Kaepernick threw what Joe Montana and Steve Young never had, the opposing teams got into a glowering, menacing shoving match, as if maybe Mother Harbaugh needed to come down on the field and break it up.
Flacco was the one doing the Montana impression, tossing those three first-half touchdown passes. The first came after an offside penalty extended a drive. The second came after a 49ers fumble. The third came not directly after that interception — that drive was thwarted when a fake field goal came up just short — but on the punt that followed.
That TD pass went 56 yards to Jones, who was so open that he waited for the ball to arrive, fell backward and then got up and ran into the end zone, as if this were pitch-and-catch, you-go-long touch football in the coaches' boyhood backyard.
"Fitting that we won that way," Flacco said of the furious finish. "Niners got a little momentum and we had to win it at the end. That's the way it's always been with us."

DirecTV held it's 2013 Celebrity Beach Bowl yesterday in New Orleans. The event is one of the lead-ins to today's Super Bowl. It's more or less a glorified flag football game for celebrities that is good look for the sponsor and is designed to be fun for the players and fans in attendance.
The White team hadMatthew Bomer, Christine Teigen, Chace Crawford, Alicia Quarles, Josh Hutcherson, Tom Arnold, Nina Dobrev, Leah Gibson, Scott Porter, Eddie George, Maria Menounos, Lil Wayne and Lolo Jones.
While the Blue team was represented by Joshua Sasse, Snoop Dogg, A. J. Calloway, Jesse Williams, Mike Bettes, Anthony Anderson, Ian Somerhalder, Desmond Howard, Ryan Kwanten, Artie Lange, Warren Moon, Shawn Johnson, Hannah Davis and Katharine McPhee.
Everything was going great until after the game when Lil Wayne got into a confrontation with a spectator.
Wayne was caught on tape yelling "Look at me motherf*cker, look at me when you apologize!"
He had to be restrained by several participants and security guards according to Rolling Out. What led to the rapper's meltdown is a mystery. Check out footage of the confrontation below.
All trends don't catch on, but hip hop often leads the way when it comes to the latest sneakers, pants, shirts and other outfits. We've seen Kanye West wearing skirts and Lil Wayne wearing women's jeggings. Has it become OK for men to wear women's clothing?
Juelz Santana recently sat down with Sneaker Watch to discuss why he sees no problem with rocking sneakers from gay fashion designer Jeremy Scott and women's belts.
"Listen, I wear what I like to wear," Juelz said. "I don't what people [say]. I buy girl belts. This Ferragamo belt, a lot of people don't know this is how you get the big buckle because this is the girl's belt. I'mma put y'all onto some swag. It ain't what you do it's how you do it. As long as you don't look gay when you're doing it. It ain't nothing wrong. Listen, we're in 2013 man. They're letting [gay] people get married. I'm saying to each his own. People's personal choices have nothing to do with their talent. These sneakers is [Jeremy Scott's] talent. His personal preference, if he's gay so what. If you like his sneakers buy them."
In one of the biggest upsets in UFC history, Antonio "Big Foot" Silva scored a devastating third round knockout over heavily favored Alistair Overeem in their heavyweight match up.
Overeem had shown very little respect for his Brazilian opponent leading up to the fight. In the pre-fight press conference, Overeem referred to Silva not as an opponent but as one big walking target. Overeem taunted Silva, saying, "I'm going to f*ck you up."
From the outset of Saturday's bout at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Overeem seemed overconfident. He won the first two rounds, but held his hands low showing no respect for Silva's power.
In the round Silva turned the tide in his favor. He landed some big right hands, then pushed Overeem against the cage. He then landed two vicious uppercuts, followed by a barrage of punches as Overeem appeared to be unable to defend himself. Finally Overeem slumped to the canvas as referee Herb Dean jumped in to save him, stopping the fight at 25 seconds of the third round.
"They called that a TKO, but let me tell you something, that was a f*cking knockout," UFC president Dana White said at the post-fight news conference. "He was out."
"After I knocked him out, I was yelling at him, 'Let's go! I want more! Come fight!,' " Silva said. "It really bothered me that he hasn't respected me in interviews leading up to the fight. He talked a lot of trash, and I told him that I'd make him respect me tonight. I'm going to go home and rest with my family for two weeks and then go right back to training. I'm ready for whatever the UFC wants for me next. I worked a lot of right hands up against the fence. I'm ready for anyone. The UFC's a big show, and now that I'm here, I'm very happy."
With the win, Silva is now on a two-fight winning streak after losing to reigning UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez back in May of last year.
Overeem drops his first bout after returning from the suspension he got last March. After beating Brock Lesnar in 2011, the Dutch fighter failed a drug test as his testosterone levels were measured to be way above the normal.
With the victory Silva now is in line for a possible rematch with Velasquez for the UFC Heavyweight title.
Here are the results of the UFC 156 fight card.
Jose Aldo def. Frankie Edgar
Aldo quickly established himself as the superior striker, landing crisp combinations, chopping away at Frankie's lead leg with some vicious low kicks. The Brazilian didn't have any problems stuffing Edgar's takedown attempts as well, and he immediately got back to his feet when Frankie finally put him on his back.
However, Frankie turned things around in the latter rounds, as Jose's cardio began to fade. He started landing clean shots, and he clearly won the last two rounds of the fight. Unfortunately for "The Answer" it wasn't enough, as the judges scored the fight 49-46, 49-46, and 48-47, all in favor of Aldo.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira def. Rashad Evans
This wasn't the most entertaining fight in the world, as neither man established dominance throughout their 15-minute encounter. Evans didn't seem overly concerned with getting the fight to the ground at UFC 156, and a slow-paced boxing match broke out inside the Octagon. Nogueira seemed to get the better of the exchanges, and all three judges scored the fight 29-28 in his favor.
Antonio Silva def. Alistair Overeem
Overeem dominated the first two rounds of their UFC 156 encounter, winning the striking exchanges, getting some work done against the cage and on the ground. Behind on the scorecards, Silva turned things around during the third round, hurting Alistair with a huge right hook. He followed up with a salvo of vicious uppercuts and hooks against the cage. Overeem dropped to the canvas, forcing referee Herb Dean to stop the contest 25 seconds into the third round.
Demian Maia def. Jon Fitch
Maia made it clear he's a top contender in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's welterweight division, out-grinding Fitch at UFC 156. The Brazilian took Fitch down at will throughout their encounter, and he controlled the action from start to finish, threatening with multiple submissions along the way. All three judges scored the fight 30-27 in favor of Maia.
With his impressive performance against Fitch, Maia seems to be ready for a shot at the welterweight title. However, with Nick Diaz and Johny Hendricks already in line to face current champ Georges St. Pierre, he'll probably have to wait a while.
Joseph Benavidez def. Ian McCall
Benavidez took control early in their UFC 156 encounter, getting the better of the striking exchanges. McCall turned things around in the second round, reversing a takedown attempt by Benavidez, transitioning to mount then back-mount. From there, Ian landed some decent shots, stealing the second round.
Benavidez regained control in the final round, once again dominating the striking exchanges. All three judges scored the fight 29-28 in favor if Benavidez.
Undercard:
Evan Dunham def. Gleison Tibau (split decision)
Tyron Woodley def. Jay Hieron (KO, round one)
Bobby Green def. Jacob Volkmann (rear-naked choke, round three)
Isaac Vallie-Flagg def. Yves Edwards (split decision)
Allen Iverson, one of the greatest basketball players of all time came out on the losing end of his divorce from Tawanna Iverson.
According to TMZ, Tawanna was granted legal and physical custody of their five children. A.I. will have visitation rights, but only if adheres to strict rules set forth by the judge in the case.
A.I. can't consume alcohol for the next 18 months, has to see a psychiatrist, attend AA meetings for a year and until all of his kids turn 18-years old he cannot drink alcohol withing 24 hours of his visits with them.
In the final divorce decree the judge reprimands A.I. for being a bad parent who has not dealt with his alcohol problem saying:
"[Iverson] does not know how to manage the children; has little interest in learning to manage the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development.
For example, he has refused to attend to an obvious and serious alcohol problem, which has caused him to do inappropriate things in the presence of the children while impaired.
He has left the children alone without supervision. He has left his young daughters in a hotel room with men who are unknown to the mother."
Wiz Khalifa doesn't waste any time. The Taylor Gang boss wanted to be the first rapper to remix Drake's new single "Started From the Bottom" so he let loose his version with an added verse.
