T.I. is defending Beyonce in the wake of the criticism she's been receiving for her performance during the halftime show at Super Bowl 50.
As we previously reported, an "Anti-Beyonce" protest against will take place outside of the NFL headquarters in New York City on February 16.
The group organizing the rally have said that the singer's routine was a form of "race-baiting." And called her salute to the Black Panther Party "a slap in the face to law enforcement."
TMZ caught up with Tip to get his opinion regarding Beyonce's performance and the ensuing controversy.
"It's an attack on cops that attack our people," he said. "How they gon' protest against our protest? I don't think that Beyonce was being malicious in any way, in her demonstration. And I feel that anything that is done to demonstrate a pure demonstration is gon' lose in the end. Everything that we're doing as far as the Black Lives Matter movement ... it is to speak out and fight against unnecessary, unlawful deaths of our people by people who are supposed to be in a position of authority to protect and serve our people. If you are against that, then to me that is un-American."
What's your take on what T.I. had to say?

MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) — A brutal fight between rival factions killed 52 inmates and injured 12 at a prison in northern Mexico on Thursday, the state governor said.
Nuevo Leon Gov. Jaime Rodriguez said there were no reported escapes and the battle, which sent flames billowing into the pre-dawn sky, didn't involve guns.
The country's deadliest prison riot in many years broke out just six days before Pope Francis is scheduled to visit another Mexican prison, in the border city of Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua state.
Rodriguez said at a news conference that the clash involved a faction led by a member of the infamous Zetas drug cartel, Juan Pedro Zaldivar Farias, also known as Z-27.

— FRANCE 24 English (@France24_en) February 11, 2016
The governor said the fight broke out between supports of Zaldivar Farias and Jorge Ivan Hernandez Cantu, who has been identified by local news media as a member of the rival Gulf cartel.
A war between the two cartels bloodied Nuevo Leon state and neighboring Tamaulipas between 2010 and 2012.
Images broadcast by Milenio Television showed flames leaping from the prison as a crowd of people bundled against the cold gathered outside. Some shook and kicked at the gates, demanding to be allowed in. Rescue workers could be seen bringing injured inmates from the facility, at least some with burns.
"They haven't told us anything," said Ernestina, who added that she was the mother of an inmate. She declined to give her full name for fear of reprisals. "They said that until there is order they won't let us in. Everything is in disorder, and nobody is telling us anything."

Rodriguez said the fight broke out around midnight and inmates set fire to a storage area, causing a thick cloud of smoke.
The deadliest earlier prison riot in recent memory also occurred in Nuevo Leon, in February 2012, when members of the Zetas murdered 44 members of the Gulf cartel at the overcrowded Apodaca federal lockup. One month earlier, 31 inmates died in a brawl in Tamaulipas state. That riot involved fighting with makeshift knives, clubs and stones.
Mexico's National Human Rights Commission reported in 2013 that the prison system is plagued by violence and cases of inmate control, symptoms of corruption and lack of resources.
The report, based on visits and interviews at 101 of Mexico's most populated prisons, found that 65 of the facilities were run by inmates, not authorities.

Kanye West is seeking $100 million in financial backing for his Yeezy clothing line.
The New York Post's Page Six reports that the entrepreneur has reached out to LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault, Richemont and Chris Burch, who helped launch Tory Burch’s fashion line and later started C. Wonder.
“Kanye is spending a lot of money. He thinks on a big scale and is currently paying for everything himself. He needs a backer to help him achieve the kind of fashion-world domination he is aiming for," a source told Page Six.
West had hired Relativity Media, an entertainment mini-conglomerate, to help find a backer, but the company filed for Chapter 11 protection in 2015.
As for people who doubt West will reach his lofty goals, a source told Page Six he is determined to prove them wrong.
“He has defied a lot of doubters with what he has done. He has been a huge success in fashion, particularly what he does with Adidas. He has big plans and he’s met with a lot of people in different fashion houses and those with venture capital money in Silicon Valley.”

Beyonce's performance of her new single titled "Formation" at Super Bowl 50 continues to be a hot topic. The song includes the lyrics "I like my baby hair, with baby hair and Afros. I like my negro nose with Jackson Five nostrils."
Malcolm X
The singer and her dancers paid tribute to Malcolm X by forming an "X'' on the field and saluted the Black Panthers by raising their fists in the air.
While millions enjoyed the show and applauded Beyonce for celebrating her heritage during Black History Month, others were offended. Some are calling the performance racist and a slap in the face of police.
According to TIME, an “Anti-Beyonce Protest Rally” will be held outside of the NFL headquarters in New York City on February 16. Information about the event was posted on the website Eventbrite.
“Are you offended as an American that Beyonce pulled her race-baiting stunt at the Superbowl? Do you agree that it was a slap in the face to law enforcement? Do you agree that the Black Panthers was/is a hate group which should not be glorified?” the anonymously posted event page said. “Come and let’s stand together. Let’s tell the NFL we don’t want hate speech & racism at the Superbowl ever again!”
What's your take on the controversy?
