Freeway has endured rap battles, beefs and label changes. Today he's still battling against America's growing negative view of Muslims in today's climate
When he recently sat down with CNN, Philly Freezer gives us a glimpse inside his spiritual world.
"My faith means everything to me. It's the thing that keeps me going everyday. It's my core it's my soul," Freeway says.
The rapper especially finds it tough to deal with the anti-muslin sentiment seen on tv daily.
"It definitely hurts my feelings when I hear Islam getting put into a negative light," he says. "You can't judge a whole group of people for a few people making mistakes."
Freezer is currently working on an ep with producer Statik Selektah, "Statik-Free EP" that is due this year.
Robert De Niro is reportedly set to reunite with rapper Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson for a new film project.
According to Deadline, De Niro has signed on to star in Freelancers, a new crime drama from music video director Jessy Terrero.
The film will mark the second time De Niro will have worked with Jackson, after the two both starred in the 2008 thriller Righteous Kill.
Freelancers follows a young man, played by Jackson, who signs up to the NYPD after his father is shot and killed in the line of duty.
After eventually graduating from the police academy, he is then assigned to work with his father's former partner, played by De Niro, who forms a special crime task force.
Also in talks to star in the film is The Last King of Scotland actor Forest Whitaker.
Snoop Dogg is going to forever have Nate Dogg by his side.
The Long Beach rapper got a tattoo of his fallen homie on his left arm. Mr Cartoons did the work that covers most of Snoop's lower arm. It features a picture of Nate with the quote "All Dogs Go To Heaven" inked underneath.
Nate died (March 15) from complications of multiple strokes, the singer was laid to rest today (March 22)
Nate's good friend, Warren G spoke about Nate at the funeral.
"It hurts me so much to see this," he said. "We been through a whole lot and that was my dog. He stayed down with me from the bottom to the top. I didn't ever think I would have to sit at a funeral for one of my dogs. All I can say is that was my friend, me him and Snoop was 213 from the balls to the walls. The music industry lost an incredible artist."
His manager Rod McGrew told MTV that Nate wanted to hang with 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G and Michael Jackson.
"He wanted to go to heaven and hang with his boys," McGrew said. "He loved Tupac. He recorded with him. He wanted to hang with Biggie. But the most important thing is that he can walk around heaven with his favorite artist of all time, Michael Jackson."
How far would you be willing to take it to insure you child grew up looking like a Barbie doll?
Botox injections, body waxes to insure a child won't ever grow pubic hair?
This is all normal in the life of 34-year old Kerry Campbell and her 8-year old daughter Britney.
Kerry told the Sun this is all preparation to insure her daughter becomes a star
"What I am doing for Britney now will help her become a star. I know one day she will be a model, actress or singer, and having these treatments now will ensure she stays looking younger and baby-faced for longer," Kerry insists.
Apparently this is becoming common place in the world of child beauty pageants in America.
"I'm sure people reading this will think I am being irresponsible, but I ensure that I test the Botox and fillers I buy online on myself first," the San Francisco mom says "All I want is for Britney to have the best start in life, so it is easier for her to become a superstar. More mothers should do it for their daughters,"
Not surprisingly, at a time when she should be hanging out with friends her age, Britney is instead talking about breast implants.
"My friends think it's cool I have all the treatments and they want to be like me. I check every night for wrinkles, when I see some I want more injections," Britney says "They used to hurt, but now I don't cry that much. I also want a boob and nose job soon, so that I can be a star."
For some parents behavior like this is normal, but i'd be willing to most think this woman is taking it too far.
Lil Wayne may be pairing with a fellow convict on his next record. The Young Money rapper and Paris Hilton are cooking up a possible collaboration. The blonde heiress interviewed Wayne for the April issue of Interview magazine, but Weezy was the one who offered his services. “I was gonna ask you, how are you gonna release an album and don’t get me on it?” he told Paris, who is prepping her sophomore effort for this summer.“Well, if you would be on the album, then I would be honored,” she replied. “That would be the sickest thing. We should get each other’s phone numbers so we can call each other after the interview or text or something.”It didn’t take any convincing for Wayne to jump on board. “Cool. Sounds good,” he said before exchanging digits with the socialite. While they may seem like polar opposites, both celebrities have served hard time and shared their common experiences in the magazine.
Late last night, Snoop Dogg paid a visit to tattoo artist Mister Cartoon and got his arm inked in tribute to Nate Dogg. Check the end result after the cut.
This is kind of a new spin on the normal drunken, restaurant brawls we see. People are hopping on counters acting an ass in bikinis now.
It's unclear what sparked the drama, but it is clear the woman in the bikini had some kind of issue with one of the employees. Leading to some punching, pushing, napkin throwing and general mayhem.
This all went down in Panama City Beach, Florida when Kimesia Smith of Montgomery, Ala., lost her cool, which resulted in her landing in jail on charges on simple battery.
Thousands are expected to turned out for G-Funk legend, Nate Dogg's funeral. Most will be turned away because of a 1000 ticket limit being imposed by the police to prevent overcrowding.
All of the closest artists Nate worked with in his career, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre and Warren G are expected to attend.
Nate, 41 will be remembered as the king of hooks, not because he did a lot of them. The man is the king because he was the best at it. Ask Eminem, 50 Cent, Xzibit, Jadakiss and many others why they picked Nate to make their joints a little bit better.
Rest In Peace Nate Dogg April 19, 1969 - March 15, 2011.

That's about to change, as Juelz Santana has reloaded and gets ready to drop three mixtapes, 2 solo, one Skull Gang prior to putting out a new studio album according to BoomBox.
"My mixtape is coming out first. That's going to be like an album, 'The Reagan Era,' the long awaited, aka well worth it, I promise you that. The album will be out probably a couple months after the mixtape, called 'Born to Lose, Built to Win,'" he said.
When Juelz's studio was raided last year, weapons and weed were found leading to his arrest and the temporary close of his studio. Human Crack In The Flesh promises that situation is all but resolved.
"I had a little altercation with my studio so my studio got shut down. So I'm putting my mixtape out right after that," the Skull Gang leader said "We gon do the Skull Gang mixtape after that, and I might do another mixtape. But that's going to be pretty much leading up to my album," he stated. "I ain't got no exact dates, but as soon as the mixtape is released, it ain't gonna stop after that."

Boasting and bragging is a big part of the rap game. Basically talking sh*t is a lot of what we hear these days.
Lil Wayne just upped the ante on sh*t talking. Bragging that he has a song on his upcoming album that will make other rappers want to quit
“I want other rappers to hear it and say, ‘I quit. I better start making club songs,'" Weezy told Rolling Stone via Rap-Up.
Rolling Stone has reportedly heard the track and give their thumbs up calling the song, “three machine-gunning minutes of adenoidal wordplay topped with a triumphant hook.”
Lil Wayne's track record for making hits is impeccable, this record will probably define his career, at least the first half of it, so maybe he is going all out to make it special.
What do yall think, does Wayne have that one song that will make everyone go "damn!", or is he just boasting and bragging?
The man made the song "Gin and Juice" 17-years ago, and you wait until now to say he's influencing kids to drink?
Snoop is having his high blown by the Marin Institute, who claim the Doggfather is peddling an alcoholic beverage made by Pabst to kids. Blast is a 23.5 ounce drink that has a 12 percent alcohol, comes in several fruity flavors, and is laced with caffeine.
Marin CEO Lee Levingston wants Blast and other drinks like it banned.
"While the federal government was shutting down dangerous caffeinated alcohol, Pabst Brewing Company was cooking up 'Blast,' a super sweet, fruit-flavored, supersized alcopop containing as much alcohol as four and a half cans of beer. "Joose, Four Loko, Tilt, and now Blast are racing to the bottom to harm youth. Senator Padilla's bill should limit such products to one standard-size drink," Marin CEO Lee Levingston said. From North Carolina to New York, critics are lining up to stop the drink from ever hitting store shelves.
Meanwhile, there's been no comment from Snoop or Pabst about the growing controversy.

Despite his misstep earlier this week on Good Morning America, Chris Brown has a lot to smile about.
Billboard is reporting that Breezy will land in the top spot on Billboard's Top 200 with between 250,000-300,000 units sold. It will mark the 1st time Chris has had an album debut at number 1.
Brown's last cd 'Graffiti' only sold 106,000 copies it's first week out, as the singer dealt with severe backlash from fans and radio stations for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
If Brown can keep his temper under control in the future he should continue to do well because the talent is definitely there.
