Iggy Azalea Signs With Interscope Records. Readies 'The New Classic' Album For June [Videos]

Iggy Azalea has put rumors of her signing with Def Jam to rest by announcing she has inked a deal with Interscope Records.

"Interscope, if you were wondering. Get used to me + jimmy smashing shit, cause thats the plan," she wrote on Twitter, referencing Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine.

Iggy joins a star studded roster that includes 50 Cent, Eminem, Madonna and Lady Gaga over at Interscope.

A lot of fans first caught wind of the Australian rapper when she dropped the video for "Pu$$y," but the 21-year old has actually been rapping for eight years now as we mentioned in a story about her last October.

Her debut album entitled The New Classic is expected in June 2012.

His new album 'Second Chance' has lots of star power with features from 50 Cent, Fabolous and Faith Evans, as well as production from Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Vlad TV asked El how he hooked up with Fifty. "We're mutual fans of each other, we enjoy each other's artistry and gift," El said. "So we were able to come together and put it down." El also talks about attending T.I.'s wedding to Tiny and singing at the reception. 'Second Chance' is in stores September 28.

We've seen plenty of beefs, a rapper embarrass himself at the MTV Music Awards and the rise of hipster/emo rap. 50 Cent recently sat down with DJ Semtex to talk about the highs and lows of 2009. One topic was his beefs with Fat Joe, The Game & Ja Rule. He also speaks on the Beanie Sigel/Jay-Z situation. The most intriguing part of the interview however, comes towards the end. When 50 speaks very candidly about his feelings towards Interscope Records and why he feels no loyalty towards the label.
