Ice Cube took to his blog to update fans on the status of his new album, 'I Am The West' and take a shot at the Miami Heat.

Also a song that caused quite a stir when it first leaked because it sounds like Cube is going in a damn near everyone will be getting a video.

"Mark it on your calender. Sept. 28th is the new release date for I AM THE WEST. But I'm still droppin' song after song so look for "Drink the Kool-Aid" later this month. I want to give you the song wit visuals," Cube wrote.

And being a big sports fan and L.A. Laker supporter you knew Cube was going to throw a jab at the Miami Heat with their new additions of Chris Bosh and Lebron James to go along with Dwayne Wade.

After getting off stage at a Seattle, Washington concert that also featured Snoop Dogg, Cube had a chance to chop it up with The Doggfather.

"Kurupt is one of my favorite MC's. He's got complicated metaphors that's still gangsta.
15 minutes after he left the room in came Snoop. We talked about the Lakers kickin' the Celtics ass in the Finals. We laughed about LeBron joining The Heat. It won't work, Lakers are still the team to beat

What clown said hip hip was dead? You can't kill an art form that's driven from the energy and love that's put into it by both the artists and the fans,

No doubt there are going to be times fads pass through hip hop like mohawks and skinny jeans, but at the end of the day talented spittas and producers will bring back that real sh*t.

I typed all that just to publicly admit I've been sleeping on J.Cole. You know, he was Jay-Z's 1st on Roc Nation artist, blah blah. It kind of went in one ear and out of the other.

But I've recently realized the error of my ways. The man is the truth and a big part a rap's future.

On Friday (July 16) Cole came to Philadelphia as part of the Heineken Inspire tour. The show also featured legendary turntable King Jazzy Jeff and R&B songstress Marshia Ambrosius.

Cole did his thing and paid respect to Philly by bringing out Freeway for a couple songs.

It was very interesting hearing and see the old Roc-A-Fella on the same stage with Jay-Z's new Roc Nation MC.

We get to see J.Cole perform "Last Call" before he brings Freeway out to perform "Roc The Mic" and "Who We Are"

Louisiana rap star Lil Boosie is literally in a fight for his life starting with his court appearance today.

Boosie, real name Torrance Hatch was indicted by a grand jury for the murder of 35 year old Terry Boyd. Police are also investigating what role he may have played in at least two other homicides according to AllHipHop.

A former employee of Boosie's Bad Azz Entertainment, Darryl “Bleek” Milton was found shot to death in his car April 1st.

Boosie is also a suspect in the shooting death of rapper Chris “Nussie” Jackson who was killed last February. Nussie and Boosie had been beefing for a while.

In a 2009 interview, Nussie explains the origins of their beef. Saying he used Boosie's name recogntion as Boosie "Bad Azz" to get in the game by calling himself "Nussie" Bad Azz.

But the beef goes way deeper than that. People suspected Nussie had something to do with the murder of Boosie's friend, rapper Lil Ivey.

Nussie sheds some light on that situation during the interview as he speaks about a confrontation he had with Boosie..

"I told ya [Boosie] I aint killed ya boy [Lil Ivy]. If I did it, me and you wouldn't be talking right now, you said 'alright brah.'"

Nussie didn't take Boosie as a serious threat in the streets.

"To be honest with you, we not on the same level to be beefing," Nussie said. "It's kind of embarrassing for me to be saying i'm beefing with Boosie. Cause Boosie a talented rapper and i'm a gangster, aint no comparison."

Boosie is also dealing with a fan base that looks up to him and kids that are confused by the situation he's gotten himself into.

His friend, Arthur "Silky Slim" Reed told WAFB, "I think the most important part for us to realize is there are hundreds of thousands of little kids that listen to him and this is their hero," Reed said. "When you come from basically nothing, these communities are basically nothing but survival camps. When someone makes it out, you look up to them."

"I don't have a huge amount to say about Boosie. Boosie has to stand up and be a man for his actions. My whole thing is that kids should see this as a turning point in their lives," Reed added.

Some fans are standing behind the rapper by posting "Free Boosie" messages on websites, but others are fed up.

A Facebook user by the name of "E.R." wrote "Boosie dumb as hell how u famous and still doin the same stuff u use to do, u suppose to exclude urself from that type of lifestyle and try and better others when u make it."

Boosie says he's innocent, but faces a tough legal battle. If convicted of 1st degree murder he faces the possibility of death by lethal injection.

Last night (July 8), Lebron James brought tears of joy to the city of Miami. While at the same time crushing the hopes of fans in New York and Cleveland.

New York's number one goal coming into the off season was to sign Lebron at all costs. He was offered free lap dances for life from a Gentleman's Club and the chance to play in the biggest media market on the planet. No doubt his endorsements would have gone through the roof.

At least the Knicks have a great starting piece though, having signed Amare Stoudemire away from the Pheonix Suns and lots of cap room left to go after more players.

In Cleveland, the loss of James was a much more bitter pill to swallow. Owner Dan Gilbert labeled the star player a quitter. Claiming James tanked in this years playoff series against the Boston Celtics.

"He quit," Gilbert said. "Not just in Game 5, but in Games 2, 4 and 6. Watch the tape. The Boston series was unlike anything in the history of sports for a superstar. Go back and look at the tape, how many shots did he take?"

While fans in Cleveland took the streets and burned James' # 23 Jersey. Hoping Lebron would somehow feel the sting of betrayal the city and it's fans feel.

"We've supported him for seven years out," said one angry Cleveland fan. "And for him to go in there and drag us through the mud for seven years and stab us in the heart..he deserves everything he gets. I hope he never wins anything in Miami!"

Cleveland Cavaliers Owner rips Lebron James in an open letter to Cavaliers fans.

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....
Dan Gilbert
Majority Owner

Philadelphia rapper Freeway, known for his unique flow and association with Jay-Z, sat down with Hard Knock TV to talk about what he's been up to recently.

With a new label situation at Rhyme Sayers, Freezer compares being there to his days at Roc-A-Fella Records.

"At the Roc, just like Rhyme Sayers we had creative control of our project. Both of my albums at Roc-A-Fella I just went in did what I did and turned the albums in, it's the same way with Rhyme Sayers. Towards the end of my career with Roc-a-Fella when everything was falling apart. The attention shifted from us [the artists] to what was going on with Jay and Dame and all that. And they wasn't concentrating on our projects as much as they should have."

Freeway has watched as the Roc dynasty crumbled. Being a part of State Property with Beanie Sigel, Peedi Crakk, Young Gunz and Oschino & Sparks has put Freezer in an uneasy position.

For the most part he's been quiet and not taken sides as Beanie has taken his beef with Jay-Z public, but he understands the situation.

"Sh*t is f*cked up man, me being a part of it I just wish sh*t was how it was. I know Jay love Beans, I know Beans love Jay. Communication is the key, if you don't know what's on that man's mind and you aint talked to him in months you liable to think anything."

As bad as things seem now, Freeway wouldn't rule out a Roc reunion.

"If Jay and Nas can do some sh*t together. Communication is the key, if we can communicate now maybe we can get it done, If not f*ck it."

We throw the world "celebrity" around too liberally these days. Take some person off the street, put them on a reality show and watch them fight and get drunk and that makes them a celeb?

I don't think so, but I guess the general public doesn't agree with me.

One of those new celebs, Natalie Nunn has gotten lots of face time recently because of her outrageous antics on the show 'The Bad Girls Club'. Also because she regularly bashes Rihanna while sticking up for her abuser Chris Brown.

VladTV asked her what she's been up to since 'Bad Girls' wrapped.

"I was on a party tour all over the United States. I was hosting parties, it's just been great. Ive been to every state. States I really didn't even know existed that had like a population, been there."

The rest of the interview sounded a lot like "blah blah blah blah". So I used that time to try to figure out exactly what the hell is that thing on her lip?

Help me out people.

In a match between UK's Portsmouth vs The Blackburn Rovers the entire crowd witnesses Anthony Vanden Borre's red card except for Soccer Saturday's sideline reporter Chris Kamara.

When Jeff Stelling went live to him pure comedy ensues as Chris is totally clueless as to what just happened.

For those who aren't soccer fans this would be the equivalent of a sideline reporter missing a players's ejection during an NFL game.

Anyway, check out the hilarious video below.

The 'Russian Roulette' singer – who was spotted recently on a number of dates with Los Angeles Dodger baseball player Matt Kemp, 25 – has dismissed claims she's in a relationship but is hoping to find true love by the time she’s 30. The 21-year-old pop beauty – who attended the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (31.01.10) alone - said: 'I’m not dating anyone – I’m single. I’m hoping to find love before I’m 30, which is almost a decade away. Even when I was in a relationship, I always have gone alone." Although she didn’t officially attend the prestigious ceremony with Matt, Rihanna was later spotted sneaking the baseball player into an after-party via a back entrance. It was rumoured she had flown Matt to Abu Dhabi for her New Year’s Eve performance (31.12.09) at the Emirates Palace, and the pair were also seen holidaying together in Mexico. It was after attending a pre-Grammy Awards party in 2009 that Rihanna was left battered and bruised by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown when he assaulted her in his car. Music: Tops And Flops Of 2009

Hot Susan Boyle Boyle, a worldwide YouTube phenomenon, brought a whole new concept to modern celebrity: dowdy chic. With her unglamorous appearance contradicting her rapturous voice, Boyle reminded us of the power of inner beauty, and in the process managed to, at least for a while, outsell every shapely young thing on the planet. Boyle's debut racked up the biggest opening sales figure of the year: over 700,000 units, most of them on (gasp!) physical CD.

Maxwell After nearly a decade in hiding, the Brooklyn-born R&B singer made the kind of point-perfect comeback that instantly compensated for all the time away. His album "BLACKsummers'night" went platinum, earning some of the most enraptured reviews of the year, bagging no fewer than six Grammy nominations in their wake.

Kings of Leon They're the first new rock band to break through in far too long. In '09, this brash Nashville foursome enjoyed iTunes' most downloaded album, "Only by the Night." The band also racked up a slew of Grammy nominations for their song "Use Somebody," ensuring they'll become only hotter in 2010.

Taylor Swift Not only did this Nashville star (who just turned 20) have the top-selling album of '09 (with a tally topping 4 million copies), she became a combination saint/victim when Kanye West tried to ruin her moment of triumph at the MTV Video Music Awards in September. To certify her resurrection, two months later, at the American Music Awards, Swift even beat the sanctified Michael Jackson for the top prize: Artist of the Year.

Not U2 They may have enjoyed the year's most attended tour. But U2's latest CD, "No Line on the Horizon," bombed with fans and became the worst-selling disk of their career.

J.Lo Yes, she fell on her world-famous rump on the American Music Awards, but she quickly bounced back (literally, it seems) to survive one of pop's goofier, and most blabbed about, public gaffes.

Kanye West Already a famously bad sport, Kanye crossed the line to genuine jerk-face in the fall when he grabbed the limelight from Taylor Swift during her MTV acceptance speech and insisted that Beyoncé's clip should have won instead. After that, even the impeccably measured President Obama hauled off and called Kanye a "jackass."

Whitney Houston While the troubled singer's comeback CD has sold strongly (800,000 copies and counting), her interview on Oprah left a bad taste in the mouth, and her intended comeback appearance on "Good Morning America" live from Central Park! found her in scratchy and damaged voice, barely able to croak through four short numbers.

Chris Brown The young R&B stud achieved genuine pariah status this year by perpetrating the ultimate no-no viciously beating his girlfriend Rihanna after a pre-Grammy party. Brown spent the rest of the year apologizing, but the damage had been done.
