CHICAGO - Two men charged in the 2015 slaying of 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee received their sentences Wednesday morning.

Convicted gunman Dwirght Boone-Doty was sentenced to 90 in prison.

Corey Morgan, who was charged with first-degree murder in October, was sentenced to 65 years in prison.

Prosecutors argued that the Nov. 2, 2015, "execution" of Tyshawn Lee was carried out as revenge on a rival gang member, that Morgan and two others believed the fourth grader's father was responsible for a shooting weeks earlier that left Morgan's brother dead and his mother wounded.

Boone-Doty befriended Tyshawn to gain his trust after the boy arrived at the park, prosecutors said. He picked up the basketball that boy had brought to the park, lured him into a nearby alley and shot him with a .40-caliber handgun multiple times at close range while Morgan watched from an SUV, they said.

A third man charged in the attack, Kevin Edwards, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder before going on trial. Edwards, who prosecutors described as the getaway driver, received a 25-year prison sentence in exchange for his plea.

NBA YoungBoy scored one sweet plea deal in his assault and kidnapping case ... the most serious charges have been dropped.

The rapper pled guilty to misdemeanor simple battery family violence. In exchange, prosecutors dropped the charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault ... this according to the Ware County District Attorney's Office in Georgia.

YB will avoid jail time. He's been sentenced to 12 months probation, fined $1,500, must attend anger management classes and have no violent contact with the victim ... his GF.

As we reported ... the rapper body slammed his GF back in February 2018 before dragging her back inside his room. Surveillance footage captured the violent moment but his GF insisted they were just engaged in horseplay. The grand jury handed down a 2-count indictment for aggravated assault and kidnapping.

As we reported ... YoungBoy's GF didn't want to press charges. And, get this ... the Ware County D.A., George Barnhill, tells TMZ she refused to come to court and flat-out told the D.A.'s Office she would NOT testify if she was brought into court against her will. This clearly explains the plea deal.

Barnhill said, "We resolved the case as best we could without her cooperation."

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A 17-year-old girl is in custody after she got into an empty plane and crashed it into a building and fence, according to Fresno Yosemite International Airport officials.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday off the runway at Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

According to the girl's mother, her daughter ran away from home Tuesday night and hadn't been seen since then. The mother says her daughter has never run away before.

Police at Fresno Yosemite International Airport say the 17-year-old got into a King Air 200 propeller-driven aircraft and was able to start one engine.

The 17-year-old then began to move and pivot the aircraft and crashed into a building and a fence on airport property, airport officials say.

The girl's mother says her daughter doesn't even know how to drive a car.

The aircraft never became airborne and the aircraft sustained substantial damage, airport officials say.

Airport officials say the 17-year-old was disoriented and uncooperative when she was taken into custody for theft of an aircraft.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport is currently working with the Federal Aviation Administration and other authorities investigating this incident.

Sergeant Smack chronicles the story of North Carolina’s Leslie “Ike” Atkinson, an adventurer, gambler and one of U.S. history’s most original gangsters. Under the cover of the Vietnam War and through the use of the U.S. military infrastructure, Atkinson masterminded an enterprising group of family members and former African American GIs that the DEA identified as one of history’s ten top drug trafficking rings. Ike’s organization moved heroin from Thailand to North Carolina and beyond.

Video After The Jump

An Ohio cop from a troubled department has resigned after video showed him brutally punching a defenseless inmate who was strapped into a chair.

Pike County deputy sheriff Jeremy Mooney stepped down right before he was going to be fired, according to a Monday statement from the sheriff’s office. An internal investigation that included the video found that Mooney on Nov. 18 used pepper spray and repeatedly beat the man, Thomas Friend, who’d been taken into custody on misdemeanor assault charges and placed in a restraint chair for disruptive behavior. Disturbing video of the incident shows a gloved Mooney throwing heavy punches directly to Friend’s face while he sits defenseless. Friend’s face appears to be bloodied as he slumps down.

Both Friend and Mooney were taken to a local medical center and released the same day. Mooney later attempted to claim workman’s compensation because he broke his hand during the incident, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

Mooney quit before he could be fired, according to the statement from interim Pike County Sheriff James E. Nelson. And Mooney’s supervisor, Sgt. William Stansberry, who police said was “present for a period of time during the incident,” has been demoted to corporal and suspended for two weeks with pay.

Police turned over the investigation to Pike County Prosecutor Rob Junk to decide if Mooney would face criminal charges. Junk has reportedly requested the FBI get involved.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Former boxing champ Adrien Broner was hit with a $830,000 judgment in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas on Tuesday, in connection with a June 2018 incident at The Park Social Lounge in Cleveland, according to the plaintiff’s attorney Subodh Chandra.

The lawsuit, filed in June 2019, alleged Broner attacked the victim—who he’d never met—as she sat with two other women on a couch in the crowded nightclub.

Broner, according to the complaint, “thrust himself on to [the victim], pinned her beneath his body, and began kissing her.” The victim said she struggled to free herself but was unable to push him off of her as he stuck his tongue down her throat, kissed her neck and body, and continued pressing himself on her.

One of Mr. Broner’s friends reportedly pulled him off of her, after a bystander snapped a photo of the assault.

The victim immediately reported the crime to Cleveland police. Broner was indicted on Oct. 29, 2018 on charges including gross sexual imposition. On April 8, 2019, he pleaded guilty to assault and unlawful restraint, and was sentenced to probation.

Despite being notified, Broner did not appear at the hearing to contest the damages.

The victim's lead counsel, Ashlie Case Sletvold, said, “One would hope this judgment will teach Adrien Broner to keep his hands to himself.”

Broner has a professional record of 33-4-1 with 24 knockouts. He has competed most recently in the welterweight division.
