A man who spent nearly 30 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted of multiple murders was shot & killed in Philadelphia almost 2 years after being released.

On Friday around 2:20 p.m., Philadelphia police responded for a report of a person with a gun. When they arrived they found 62-year-old Christopher Williams suffering from gunshot wounds to the head.

No arrests have been made & a weapon has not been recovered.

In 1989, Williams, along with Theophalis Wilson, were convicted of murdering 3 men who were found shot to death in Philadelphia on the same day.

Wilson was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole while Williams was sentenced to death for the murders. Before that conviction, Williams was separately convicted & sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of a man named Michael Haynesworth.

Testimony from 2 men, 1 of whom was testifying in exchange for more lenient sentencing in his own 6 murder cases, had linked Williams & Wilson to the murders.

In 2011 however, 1 of the men recanted his testimony against Williams & Wilson in relation to the triple murder in 1989.

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Conviction Integrity Unit also discovered there was a significant amount of evidence in Williams’ favor that had been withheld from the initial trial, including reports of alternate suspects & accounts that contradicted those of the men who testified against him.

Williams was exonerated of his triple homicide conviction in 2019 while Wilson was exonerated in 2020.

Williams remained in prison on the Haynesworth conviction. The CIU then revisited that case & found that the testimony against Williams was inconsistent with the available physical evidence.

Williams was exonerated a 2nd time in 2021 & finally free from prison after 29 years.

Master P is mourning the death of his daughter, Tytyana Miller.

The 52-year-old rapper took to social media Sunday night to announce his 29-year-old daughter had passed away.

"Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana," Master P wrote on Instagram. "We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers love and support."

He continued ... "Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can't be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel."

Master P's son, and Tytyana‘s older brother, Romeo Miller also took to Instagram to mourn her death.

"Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my little sister Tytyana. We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve."

He went on ... "We appreciate all of the prayers, love, and support, and although this is sad times, I'm forever grateful for the memories I did have with my amazing sister. Love on your loved ones, life is short. The silver lining, I know she's in a way better place and finally at peace and free. God Bless. - RM"

The cause of death has not been revealed.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... paramedics got an emergency call around 2:30 AM Saturday and responded to a home in the San Fernando Valley. It appears she was pronounced dead on scene -- she was not taken to a hospital.

Tytyana is one of MP's middle children -- she's also one of 4 daughters.

She's been featured on the family's reality show, "Growing Up Hip Hop," and her struggles with substance abuse have been well-documented ... including a dramatic moment where Romeo and P were encouraging her to enter rehab.

As for Tylyana, she had pursued an acting career, and appeared in "A Mother's Choice."

Tytyana was 29.

The wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas reportedly urged former President Donald Trump's top aide to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

CBS and the Washington Post report that toward the end of the Trump administration, Ginni Thomas exchanged text messages over several weeks with Mark Meadows, who was White House chief of staff at the time.

The text messages were obtained by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Robert Costa, CBS News' chief election and campaign correspondent, told NPR that Ginni Thomas reached out to Meadows days after the election, when "President Trump was already eyeing a potential hearing at the U.S. Supreme Court.

"It was the beginning of a 29 text message-exchange between November 2020 and January 2021," Costa said. NPR has not independently confirmed the reporting.

It is not the first time Ginni Thomas has been the center of controversy.

Earlier this month, Thomas tried to rebut claims that there was a conflict of interest between her conservatives activism and her husband's work on the highest court. In an interview with the conservative website the Washington Free Beacon, she said that while she did attend the Jan. 6 rally that preceded the violence at the Capitol, she left before Trump spoke at noon and before the rioters breached the Capitol complex.

It is not clear whether Justice Thomas was aware of his wife's correspondence with Meadows.

Over the weekend two more inmates died in prisons in Mississippi bringing the total number of deaths in 2020 to 12.

Officials with Management and Training Corporation, a Utah contractor that runs three prisons on behalf of the state of Mississippi said 38-year-old inmate Jermaine Tyler died in custody Saturday night at the Marshall County Correctional Facility. A spokesperson said there were no signs of foul play.

On Sunday, Parchman State Penitentiary announced the death of 26-year-old inmate Joshua Norman, who was found hanging in his one-man cell in the prison's Unit 29.

Gov. Tate Reeves said he recently visited Parchman, where nine prisoner deaths have taken place in the past month, some by hanging & some following altercations within the facility.

Reeves said Monday he has instructed the Mississippi Department of Corrections to shut down Unit 29, which he called "the most notorious unit."

More than two dozen inmates sued the state Jan. 14, saying understaffed prisons are “plagued by violence” & inmates are forced to live in decrepit & dangerous conditions. Entertainers Jay-Z & Yo Gotti are paying for the attorneys in the case, a spokesperson for the two confirmed. All of the plaintiffs have been inmates at Parchman.

Ted Williams, dubbed by the media as the man with the "Golden Voice" has run into a speed bump as he tries to reclaim his life after being homeless for years.

Since a story broke in the  Columbia Dispatch about Williams, he has been all over tv giving interviews. He's gotten job offers from the Cleveland Cavaliers, voice overs for Kraft Mac and Cheese, a possible five second spot in a Super Bowl commercial and a small part in a Jack Nicholson movie.

But not everything is all good in Williams' life.

He was arrested Monday night (January 11) in Los Angeles after getting into a physical altercation with his 29-year old daughter, Janey.

Williams was in L.A. to film interviews with Dr Phil and Entertainment Tonight. While there he decided to visit his ex wife and mother of five of his nine kids, Patricia Kirtley. That's when the confrontation with his daughter happened.

"I wanted to bring it to a close by just saying, 'Shut the hell up and let me talk to your mother.' When that was said out of my mouth, my daughter exploded, fists got a flying - none of which were mine." he told Entertainment Tonight.

Williams showed scratches on his face he says were caused by his daughter.
“LAPD responded to a disturbance call at the Renaissance Hotel at about 9 p.m. [Monday] night,” police spokesman Bruce Borihanh tells The Hollywood Reporter. “An investigation was conducted and two individuals were transferred to the Hollywood station. No one was arrested or booked for any crime in relation to this incident. After a short investigation, police determined no crime was committed by either party… Nobody wanted to press charges.”

Janey's side of the story differs dramatically from here father's. She says the 53-year old is back on the bottle after his newfound fame.

"He's consumed at least a bottle of Grey Goose a night, at least, That's not including the Coronas he orders, that's not including the Budweisers he orders, that's not including the other alcohol, the wines. He drinks heavily." she said.

She claims he got verbally abusive, that'e when things escalated.

"He was like 'You f*cking b*tch, you shut the f*ck up.' When he said that I stood up out of my chair like who the f*ck you talking too? He said,'You, you fat b*tch'. when he said that I just got angry." Janey told ET.

Going from being homeless to being a celebrity overnight has to be tough. Hopefully Williams doesn't revert back to his old ways of doing drugs and drinking.  Right now it looks like it could easily go that way if he can't cope with the media attention.
