Rap giant Eminem is heading over to jolly old England to headline a concert that also features singer Pink on the bill. That's not the biggest news however. For the first time I can remember Slim Shady has agreed to censor his lyrics to appease gay rights groups that might protest the show. According to AllHipHop, Eminem agreed to perform at the 2010 Wireless Festival after he and the show's promoters agreed to terms on this issue. Activist group OutRage! has been successful in boycotting artists like Buju Banton and Beenie Man in the past. Em wanted to avoid any confrontation with them or similar gay rights groups while visiting the UK. The show will take place at London's Hyde Park in July of 2010. Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

We've seen plenty of beefs, a rapper embarrass himself at the MTV Music Awards and the rise of hipster/emo rap. 50 Cent recently sat down with DJ Semtex to talk about the highs and lows of 2009. One topic was his beefs with Fat Joe, The Game & Ja Rule. He also speaks on the Beanie Sigel/Jay-Z situation. The most intriguing part of the interview however, comes towards the end. When 50 speaks very candidly about his feelings towards Interscope Records and why he feels no loyalty towards the label.

Video After The Jump Romulus, Michigan (CNN) -- A Nigerian man is "talking a lot" to the FBI, said a senior U.S. official, after what the United States believes was an attempted terrorist attack on an inbound international flight. The initial impression is that the suspect was acting alone and did not have any formal connections to organized terrorist groups, said the official, who is familiar with the investigation. The suspect, identified by a U.S. government official as 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, ignited a small explosive device Friday, shortly before a Northwest flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands, landed at Detroit Metro Airport in Michigan. Passenger Jasper Schuringa told CNN that with the aid of the cabin crew, he helped subdue and isolate Abdulmutallab. Abdulmutallab was taken into custody and is being treated for second- and third-degree burns on his thighs, according to federal law enforcement and airline security sources. The sources told CNN that the suspect flew into Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam on a KLM flight from Lagos, Nigeria, and is not believed to be on any "no fly" list, although his name does appear in a U.S. database of people with suspect connections. He did not undergo secondary security screening in Amsterdam, an administration official said. The administration official said there was no evidence that Abdulmutallab was a hard-core, trained member of al-Qaeda. The Nigerian national, however, claimed to have extremist ties and said the explosive device "was acquired in Yemen along with instructions as to when it should be used," a federal security bulletin obtained by CNN said. British counterterrorism police officers were searching houses Saturday in central London in relation to the airline incident, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman told CNN. The remains of the device used are being sent to an FBI explosives lab in Quantico, Virginia, for analysis, security sources said. President Obama, who is spending the holidays in Hawaii, was briefed on the incident during a secure phone call with aides and instructed in a subsequent discussion with security advisers "that all appropriate measures be taken to increase security for air travel," White House spokesman Bill Burton told CNN. The president made no changes to his schedule, Burton said. The Department of Homeland Security issued a statement Friday saying that air passengers "may notice additional screening measures put into place to ensure the safety of the traveling public on domestic and international flights." Passengers described the brief moments of panic on board, as screams erupted and flight attendants ran for fire extinguishers. Syed Jafry, who was sitting in seat 16G, said the plane was just beginning to descend when passengers heard a pop. "Everybody got a little bit startled," he said. "After a few seconds or so ... there was ... kind of a flamish light and there was fire" and people around the immediate area began to panic. Schuringa said he heard a big bang that sounded like a firecracker going off. He told CNN that he was the one who was able to subdue Abdulmutallab. CNN was not able to independently confirm Schuringa's account. Schuringa said someone started yelling: "Fire! Fire!" Then there was smoke. That's when Schuringa said he knew something was terribly wrong. When he noticed that Abdulmutallab was not moving, he grew suspect. He jumped over the passenger next to him and lunged over Abdulmutallab's seat. Schuringa said he saw that Abdulmutallab had his pants open and he was holding a burning object between his legs. "I pulled the object from him and tried to extinguish the fire with my hands and threw it away," Schuringa said. He said he managed to pull an object tucked between Abdulmutallab's legs. "Water! Water," Schuringa screamed. He heard fire extinguishers as he pulled Abdulmutallab out of his seat and dragged him to the front of the plane. Schuringa said Abdulmutallab seemed dazed. "He was staring into nothing." Schuringa said he stripped off Abdulmutallab's clothes to make sure he did not have other explosives on his body. A crew member helped handcuff him. He said other passengers applauded as he walked back to his own seat. "My hands are pretty burned. I am fine," he said. "I am shaken up. I am happy to be here." Jafry said the incident was under control within minutes, crediting the crew and nearby passengers for the rapid response. Another passenger, Richelle Keepman, told CNN affiliate WDIV-TV that the experience was terrifying. "I think we all thought we weren't going to land, we weren't going to make it," Keepman said. One person was taken to the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, hospital spokeswoman Tracy Justice said. "All passengers have deplaned and, out of an abundance of caution, the plane was moved to a remote area," where the plane and baggage were rescreened, the Transportation Security Administration said in a statement. Passengers were interviewed by law enforcement authorities before being allowed to leave the airport. No other suspicious materials were found on the plane or in luggage, the law enforcement and airline security sources said. The suspect had only carry-on luggage. Another passenger on the Northwest flight transferred from the same KLM flight in Amsterdam, but officials found no connection between the two, the sources said. The plane, an Airbus 330, landed shortly before noon. It was carrying 278 passengers. Delta is the parent company of Northwest. Source: CNN Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

This is either the first or second single off of "Rebirth" depending on whether or not you count "Prom Queen". The album is full on rock and roll which could be considered risky for Weezy F. Baby since his core audience is Hip Hop. I guess we will find out when the cd drops. The album has been leaked heavily due to a shipping mistake by Amazon. So the release date is up in the air as the project gets reworked.

Video After The Jump Zoo Life General 40 Glocc has sat back, played his position, staying loyal to 50 Cent and G-Unit while others haven't. In this interview with Street Treats HD he offers a very unique perspective on the whole Young Buck situation. From where 40 was sitting Buck started getting out of pocket way before 50 kicked him out of G-Unit. Buck even went as far as calling 40 to see if he could get him to be disloyal, but Glocc wasn't having it. Ultimately, being from the west coast and having a gang mentality 40 feels Young Buck should have been disciplined (DP'd) and that might have set him straight.

With the release of his fourth studio album, 50 Cent has found himself in an unfamiliar position. These days, the rap behemoth, who has sold 30 million albums worldwide since 2003’s landmark Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, has had to answer to lackluster sales of his latest release Before I Self Destruct. The much-hyped project, which debuted with 160,000 copies this past November, represents a career low for the Queens rapper. Yet, 50, who has never held his tongue when it came to proclaiming his commercial dominance over rival MCs, is philosophical about such criticism. “I think it’s a natural thing,” 50 Cent told VIBE of his detractors. “I’ve watched other artists in the history of entertainment. The industry builds entertainers up in order to destroy them. People think I should be uncomfortable. Every obstacle possible has been placed in front of me, and I’m talking about before I even take off from day one. The pressure that they are applying is minimized in my head. They want to see my out of control.” Indeed, 50 Cent is not letting talk of his impending demise slow him down. In addition to releasing Before I Self Destruct and film of the same name, he is set to shoot the urban weapons drama Gun with veteran actor Val Kilmer.I’ve accomplished so much from where I come from that it’s impossible for you to take my smile away from me,” muses 50. ––Keith Murphy Source: Vibe Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

Multi-platinum songstress Mary J. Blige is rebuking reports that she punched her husband Kendu Isaacs in the face Tuesday night at her NYC album release party. According to initial reports from anonymous “sources,” the fight occurred when Isaacs was seen flirting with several female waitresses, causing Blige to strike and taunt him. “She turned to him and was screaming, 'You're not going to ruin my night,' " an alleged witness told the NY Post. “They got up in each other's faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face. She was yelling at him, 'What are you gonna do, Chris Brown me?'” From there, Blige’s bodyguards were said to have escorted Isaacs from the M2 Ultra Lounge venue. Blige’s publicist Kerynne Tencer released a statement denying the incident, and proclaimed the couple’s relationship is on steady ground. “People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about,” Tencer explained. “They’re as happy as can be. They’re spending the holidays together with their three children. Everything’s great.” Blige and Isaacs, who also serves as her manager, have been married since 2003. On Tuesday (December 21), Blige released Stronger with Each Tear, her 9th studio LP after a 2-year hiatus. To date, Blige has maintained a streak of every album since 1992’s What’s the 411? going platinum or multi-platinum. The album features guest spots from Drake, T.I., and Trey Songz. Production credits include Ryan Leslie, The Runners, Polow Da Don, The Dream, Stargate, and Tricky Stewart. Source: AllHipHop Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

If “A Christmas Carol” came to Hollywood, rap star Kanye West would be Scrooge and 9 year-old Frankie Jonas, the youngest Jo Bro, would make a great Tiny Tim, according to results in a survey of more than 1,900 children, teens and adults that was released on Wednesday. Also, when E-Poll Market Research asked respondents for its annual holiday survey what “celebrity” they would most like to spend New Year’s Eve with, U.S. President Barack Obama came out as one of the top choices, along with talk show host Oprah Winfrey and singer Taylor Swift. But it was the feature of the survey that identified celebrities with popular Christmas characters that produced the most noteworthy results and labeled West as the new Scrooge. West received widespread scorn after he took the microphone from Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards in September, and it appears that the survey results are proceeding along that wavelength in calling him the year’s Scrooge. Frankie Jonas, who has a recurring role on the Disney television show “Jonas” and voiced the main character in this year’s animated film “Ponyo,” is so young that it’s probably a natural pick for survey respondents to link him to Tiny Tim, although fortunately for him, he has none of Tiny Tim’s tragic infirmities. The survey also identified television weatherman Al Roker with Frosty the Snowman, “American Idol” alpha judge Simon Cowell with the volcanic Heat Miser from the Christmas TV classic “The Year Without a Santa Claus,” and sometimes scary actor Christopher Walken with the spindly Jack Skellington, the lead character in Tim Burton’s 1993 film “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” E-Poll Market Research said it linked the celebrities to Christmas characters by having survey respondents describe attributes of celebrities, and then matching those findings with Christmas characters with similar attributes. In another part of the survey, respondents named heiress Paris Hilton, divorced reality stars Jon and Kate Gosselin and singer Britney Spears as the celebrities they hope get “stranded on an island in 2010″ and forgotten about.
