Looks like the newest member of G-Unit will be coming out of the Bankhead section of Atlanta.

Shawty Lo made the big announcement on Video City Television.

"I sat down with about 4-5 labels. The best is... I had a meeting with 50 Cent/G-Unit." Shawty said. "I left New York last Wednesday. We had a good 6-7 hour meeting. I'm just waiting on his attorneys to get with my attorneys and we gone concrete it."

Shawty says he has a lot on deck with his own crew of artists starting with the 1st lady of D4L, Jha Jha, Costra Nostra Chain Gang and more. He figures 50 is a good guide to study under.

"I feel like 50 he's a hard worker with all that he's accomplished. I feel like I'm the down south version," Shawty said.

Shawty also spoke on the strange saga of Yung L.A. The ATL rapper got a duck tattoo on his face only to get it removed days later.  He recently left T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint, who publicly beefed with Shawty for a while.

"I think Young L.A. done kinda lost his mind.  I don't know what's wrong with the lil homie, trying to jump lebels and do this and do that." Shawty added.  "He's making the city look bad.

Video After The Jump

Aries Spears takes aim at southern rappers in his latest comedy video.

Spiers plays rapper Big Booga Boogaloo an obnoxious country artist who just wants you to dance to his music and throw away the books.

Is this too stereotypical or funny as hell?

Check it out.

Rihanna Gets Loud with Chelsea Handler

12348803262?profile=originalRihanna shared some keen observations from her trip to Australia during a taping of E!’s “Chelsea Lately” this week. The red-haired superstar, who is currently down under to wrap her “Last Girl on Earth” tour, noticed the lack of black people among the indigenous population while scoping out the audience at her shows.“I look around at my concerts and there is like one or two,” she told Chelsea Handler. “It is a rare thing that these people can be very black, too.”The Bajan babe was in awe of the few people of color that she spotted in the crowd. “They are very beautiful, very special,” she told the host, who quipped back, stating she had only seen “three-and-a-half black people” while filming three episodes of her show in Sydney.RiRi, who will launch her “LOUD” tour in the U.S. this June, will chat with the comedienne on Thursday’s episode of the late-night program.

12348810484?profile=originalExcuse Bow Wow if he's got a chip on his shoulder these days.

Tne 24-year old is about to drop his seventh studio album, has made countless hits and still doesn't get his just props. At least that's how he feels.

In a recent interview Bow vented about his status in the game and why he feels like he's in the same league as Eminem and Jay-Z.

"I feel like a lot of dudes who get recognition in the game, I've been doing it longer than them and I think people are stuck in the right now, that they forget about the past and that's one thing that I don't do," Bow Wow said. "That's a discredit to somebody's past and especially their numbers, because like [Jay-Z] said: 'They don't lie, stats don't lie.' I just get tired of that sometimes, when you work so hard and you're passionate about what you do, you want to get acknowledged for it. Other than Eminem and Jay-Z, I can't tell you another rapper who has sold out Madison Square Garden five times, besides me! I'm in that bracket, but people won't say that because they are so caught up with the past and Lil' Bow Wow and are not focused on the current."

Does he have a valid point. Do you consider Bow Wow in the same league as Em and Hov?

12348814865?profile=originalOut of the many collaborations Kanye West had on 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy', the most memorable has to be Chris Rock's appearance on "Blame Game."

It's one of those skits that doesn't get old old. The lines, "I was f*cking parts of your p*ssy I never f*cked before" and "Who the f*ck got your p*ssy reupholstered?" are two of the funniest lines ever on a rap album.

Rock said in a recent interview he was more than happy to hop on the song.

I did that quicker than I read scripts that they offer me money to do,” he told the New York TimesI thank him so much it probably freaks him out. Especially at this late date, to get on something, the album of the moment, that stuff is priceless, you can’t put a price tag on that. “I felt invigorated by it - I’ve still got my fastball.”

Because of his sing-songy style of rap I had always thought of Nelly as more of a pop act than a street dude.

Goes to show that you can't judge a book by it's cover

After watching this VH1 Behind The Music special, I've changed my mind and have even more respect for this man than I did previously.

Not just because he had it hard coming up, but also because every hurdle placed in front of him, Nelly has found a way to get over it.

I guarantee when you watch it you will feel the same way.

12348632080?profile=originalKanye West and Suge Knight decided to stop battling in court and reached an out of court settlement, stemming from Suge Knight's 2005 shooting at a Kanye West hosted event.

Suge also claimed to robbed of a $135,000 diamond earring at the Miami MTV Video Music Awards party .

Knight originally sought millions in damages, claiming West was at fault for not having better security. The gunman snuck the gun in undetected and escaped the scene.

After this case was thrown out of court in Novemeber when a Miami judge ruled there was insufficient evidence to prove the shooting could have been prevented. Knight filed new papers in December anyway, appealing the decision.

No figures were released to show how much money Suge got to drop the case.

Joell Ortiz talks to UK's Hip Hop Chronicle about Slaughterhouse's deal with Eminem's 2.0 Records.

Ortiz sheds light on Em's vision for the group, that he will be a hands off boss that is going to let the continue to create as they have in the past.

The end game for Ortiz is a solo deal he says is in the works and getting major label success.

"I've never been on a main stage, like I've never been on a big, big, big stage," Ortiz says "Like when I signed with Dr Dre, I was almost there. This I asked for a release because I didn't agree with some release dates issues. Not a sour break up, just a business decision that he respected. Now with Slaughterhouse I'm peeking back in,"

Hood rats have united.

I really can come to no other conclusion for why females are turning up on tape fighting like wild animals.  Hood rats are out in full force lately.

As the dude filming reminds the two chicks in street fights, so they snatched off wigs, exposed bitties and generally acted like damn fools.

Looked like there would be another round, but the videos ends before it starts.

If you're over the age of 18, go peep the video on boobootv
