SAN DIEGO (WBRZ) - Rapper Boosie Badazz was arrested in San Diego on weapons charges while he was in town shooting a music video.

According to the San Diego County Jail, Boosie was booked on four charges: felon in possession of a firearm, concealed carry weapon in a vehicle, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and unlisted owner of a registered firearm.

Boosie posted a picture on social media on Friday with Bully Three, a rapper who worked with Boosie on a song called "How You Wanna Play It?"

As of Sunday afternoon, Boosie had bonded out of jail.

May 6 (Reuters) - A gunman shot & killed 9 people & wounded at least 7 others at a busy mall north of Dallas on Saturday.

The gunman, whom authorities said they believe acted alone, was killed by a police officer after he began firing outside of the Allen Premium Outlets mall in Allen, Texas.

Allen fire department chief Jon Boyd told the same press conference that his department took at least 9 victims with gunshot wounds to area hospitals, 2 of whom died.

Medical City Healthcare, which runs 16 hospitals in the area, said in a statement that its trauma centers were treating 8 of the wounded victims, who ranged in age from 5 to 61. 

One unidentified eyewitness said the gunman was "walking down the sidewalk just ... shooting his gun outside," & that "he was just shooting his gun everywhere for the most part."

Blood could be seen on sidewalks outside the mall & white sheets covering what appeared to be bodies.

Mass shootings have become commonplace in the U.S. with at least 198 so far in 2023, the most at this point in the year since at least 2016, according to the Gun Violence Archive. The nonprofit group defines a mass shooting as any in which 4 or more people are wounded or killed, not including the shooter.

Usher & Chris Brown got into a heated argument last night -- which apparently led to some sort of a scuffle that got violent outside, very early Saturday morning at the Skate Rock City roller rink in Vegas ... where CB was celebrating his 34th birthday among a lot of celeb pals, including Usher -- with whom he's incredibly close.

While Usher & co. sang to Chris earlier in the evening when everything was fine, things unfortunately got ugly in the wee hours of the morning ... when eyewitnesses tell us Chris was attempting to talk to Teyana Taylor, who was also in attendance & sitting on a bench just outside of the rink. We're told, for whatever reason, Teyana was ignoring him.

Our sources tell us this pissed Chris off & he started to yell at her & that's when Usher intervened & tried to calm him down.

We're told Chris wasn't having it, cursing at Usher & Teyana -- but then, mostly focusing his anger directly at Usher. Eventually, our sources say Chris told his crew they were leaving & they exited the facility. We're told Usher took off his skates & went after them.

Our eyewitness -- who says they were present for this -- tells us they saw Usher go behind a string of charter buses that were parked in the lot ... where Chris & his crew were at. We're told a short time later, Usher emerged with what appeared to be a bloody nose.

Unclear if he went to the hospital, or if a police report was filed. 

Meanwhile ... Usher, Teyana & Chris have all been radio silent this morning -- with none of them having said a thing yet to confirm or deny a report initially put out by Hollywood Unlocked.

Thing is, Usher is slated to hit the stage tonight there in Vegas for his Lovers & Friends festival ... as is Chris. Unclear if either of them is going to go through with it. We'll see.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla.(Local10)  – Miami-Dade police responded to a shooting at the home of retired mixed martial artist Jorge Masvidal Thursday, according to officials and county records.

Property records show Masvidal owns the home at 5851 SW 118th Ave. in the Horse Country neighborhood of southwest Miami-Dade’s Kendale Lakes area.

It’s not clear what happened during the incident, but sources told Local 10 News that a family member of Masvidal was involved — but not Masvidal himself.

Police didn’t identify the person shot, but he or she was transported in stable condition with some injuries to the “upper extremities,” they said.

A Local 10 News photojournalist spotted Masvidal arriving at the property as police investigated.

Masvidal, who was born and raised in the Miami area, retired from fighting in April.

Miami-Dade police are expected to provide an update on the shooting later Thursday evening.

NEW YORK (AP) — A federal jury in New York concluded Thursday that British singer Ed Sheeran didn’t steal key components of Marvin Gaye’s classic 1970s tune “Let’s Get It On” when he created his hit song “Thinking Out Loud.”

As the jury answered the single question of whether Sheeran proved he didn’t infringe upon the copyright in the affirmative. He then spoke for about 10 minutes with the plaintiffs, including the daughter of Ed Townsend, who co-created the 1973 soul classic with Gaye. They hugged & smiled with each other.

The verdict came after a 2-week trial that featured a courtroom performance by Sheeran as the singer insisted, sometimes angrily, that the trial was a threat to all musicians who create their own music.

Townsend’s heirs said in their lawsuit that “Thinking Out Loud” had “striking similarities” & “overt common elements” that made it obvious that it had copied “Let’s Get It On.” 

Sheeran’s song, which came out in 2014, was a hit, winning a Grammy for song of the year. His lawyers argued that the songs shared versions of a similar & unprotectable chord progression freely available to all songwriters.

Gaye was killed in 1984 at age 44, shot by his father as he tried to intervene in a fight between his parents.

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Former NBA star Shawn Kemp pleaded not guilty Thursday to an assault charge after prosecutors accused him of shooting at a man while attempting to retrieve a stolen cell phone.

Kemp was released without bail following the arraignment in Pierce County Superior Court in Washington state.

He was arrested after the shooting in a parking lot outside the Tacoma Mall on March 8 & released the following day pending further investigation. No one was injured & Kemp’s lawyers insisted he returned fire in self defense after tracking & trying to retrieve a cellphone that had been stolen from him earlier that day.

However, a probable cause statement by Tacoma police, filed along with 1st-degree assault charges last month, did not indicate Kemp was shot at. It said some of his statements were not corroborated by surveillance video & that just 13 minutes before he arrived at the mall, he sent a text message saying, “I’m about to shoot this (expletive).”

The document said Kemp told police that after being shot at he went back to his own vehicle, parked several spots away, to get his own gun. But the video showed that he was armed with the weapon when he approached the parked Toyota 4Runner where he had tracked his phone.

The statement said he fired 3 times into the Toyota & then threw his gun into some bushes. The driver of the 4Runner appeared to duck 1 of the shots & eventually drove off. Only about 5 minutes elapsed from the time Kemp arrived until the time the 4Runner left.

Kemp was a 6-time NBA all-star & played for the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland, Portland & Orlando.

Jamie Foxx is feeling the love from his fans.

On Wednesday, 3 weeks after his family revealed that he was hospitalized due to a medical complication, the Oscar winner, 55, wrote on Instagram: "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed."

Over on his IG Story, he also gave a shoutout to Nick Cannon for filling in on his hosting duties for the upcoming season of Beat Shazam: "Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon. See u all soon."

His daughter Corinne wrote on her Instagram Story while sharing her dad's post, "Thanks for the love!"

On April 12, Corinne, 29, announced in a statement on Instagram that her dad had "experienced a medical complication" the day prior. He was in Atlanta filming the Netflix movie Back in Action, which also stars Cameron Diaz & Glenn Close & is directed by Seth Gordon.

Corinne shared at the time that "due to quick action & great care," Foxx was "on his way to recovery" at that point. 

Multiple sources had told PEOPLE that Foxx was steadily improving as he worked toward recovery in a Georgia medical facility.

Production on the Netflix movie resumed soon after. He was last seen filming on April 10. Due to his hospitalization, one stunt double stood in for Foxx & a second individual served as his photo double.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Jackson Mahomes, the 22-year-old social media influencer & younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has been arrested.

He was charged with 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery & a 4th count of battery. He was booked into the Johnson County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.

Overland Park police confirmed the incident stemmed from an accusation by the owner of an Overland Park restaurant in which he allegedly assaulted her & shoved a waiter in separate incidents.

The alleged incident happened on Feb. 25, 2023, at Aspens Restaurant and Bar Lounge in Overland Park. Video circulating online shows Jackson Mahomes, 22, kissing the 40-year-old owner of the restaurant.

In March, Jackson Mahomes’ lawyer provided KCTV5 with a statement denying the claims against Jackson.

“We have provided law enforcement with the tools & evidence they need to evaluate the claims against Jackson,” it read. “Every interaction between people needs to be placed in the proper context. Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context. We have faith in the process & look forward to a swift resolution of the matter.”

An arraignment hearing has been set for Wednesday, May 3, at 1:30 p.m.
