During a discussion about the 2020 presidential election, Charles Barkley told Axios reporter Alexi McCammond, “I don’t hit women but if I did I would hit you.”

McCammond took offense and despite the comment being off the record, she tweeted it out anyway.

Was Barkley joking? Probably. Has he said or done worse in the past? Definitely. But these are different times we’re living in, where political correctness is expected.

Are they about to “Me Too” the NBA legend? Do you think his job as a TNT basketball analyst is in jeopardy?

TMZ -- Ol' Dirty Bastard is the inspiration behind a brand of brew courtesy of Young Dirty Bastard ... who says he's getting into the beer biz because his late pops loved a cold one.

The new adult beverage is a honey ale called Young Dirty Brew ... and ODB's kid says he's wanted to honor his father with a drink ever since he first saw his pops sipping on Olde English.

Young Dirty Bastard's rep, Avery "Msartistry," tells TMZ ... the rapper poured in $60,000 to make his childhood dream a reality, and worked with Circa Brewing to stir up the right brew and get if off the ground.

The late Wu-Tang rapper's probably smiling down on his son. As you can see, Young Dirty Bastard was heavily involved in the brewing process, channeling his father's style along the way.

We're told YDB and his biz partners, Divine Everlasting and Logan Feldman, took about 6 months to perfect their ale, and 100 cases go on sale New Year's Eve in select New York liquor stores, bars and online.

Of course, if you get your hands on one ... be sure to pour a little out for ODB.

TMZ -- It looks like Kodak Black is gonna be a superman when he walks out of a federal prison -- that is, if he sticks to his higher education plan, which includes a little nihilistic philosophy!!!

Sources close to the incarcerated MC tell TMZ ... on the heels of getting sentenced to 46 months in prison, Kodak's shooting to get a college diploma by the time he gets out. We're told he's interested in pursuing business and marketing. The federal prison in Florida where he's doing his time offers classes, and he plans to register.

That's not where his learning road ends. Our sources say Kodak's actually planning to take the SAT when he's eventually released in hopes of getting into the University of Florida and earning a bachelor's degree.

Of course, this follows his previous goal of wanting a GED about a year ago while he was locked up. We're told he ended up getting it, BTW.

And, as if biz and marketing reading isn't enough, we're told he'll be supplementing that with some other literature to get his creative juices flowing -- good, old-fashioned Friedrich Nietzche books, in fact. Ah yes, "The Death of God," "The Superman" and "The Will To Power." Heavy stuff, but time's on his side. Sorta.

In addition to his nearly 4-year sentence, Kodak was just hit with two new counts of gun possession last week and could get up to 30 more years for each charge.

Video After The Jump

(CNN) A Pennsylvania man admitted to taking his girlfriend from Pennsylvania to Nevada under the guise of a vacation and then killing her, according to an Allegheny County criminal complaint filed Friday. Police say he then impersonated her through text and social media for roughly two months.

John Chapman, 39, faces charges of kidnapping, obstructing administration of law and criminal use of a communication facility in Pennsylvania, according to the complaint.

Whether Chapman will be charged with murder is up to Nevada, as Pennsylvania lacks jurisdiction, said Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, Police Chief Timothy O'Connor.

Chapman is being held at Allegheny County Jail in Pennsylvania and was denied bail. A preliminary hearing is set for November 21.

Chapman told police the incident began in September, according to the complaint. He convinced his girlfriend Jamie Feden, 33, to drive with him from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas under the guise of a vacation and the potential to move there together, the complaint said. They arrived in Vegas around September 23.

On September 25, Chapman convinced Feden to drive into the desert to participate in a "bondage themed photo shoot," the complaint said. At the location, Chapman tied Feden's hands and feet with zip ties to a sign post and put duct tape on her mouth and nose until she suffocated to death, the complaint said. Chapman then removed the tape, zip ties and clothes from his girlfriend and left her body, according to the complaint.

O'Connor told CNN that Chapman had been contacting Feden's family members via text and social media pretending to be her for roughly two months until police got involved.

Video After The Jump

(CNN) Video of a prison fight involving Jake Patterson, the Wisconsin man who kidnapped Jayme Closs after killing her parents, has been released by the New Mexico Corrections Department.

The August fight was sparked by a fellow inmate asking Patterson about his crimes, a release from the department said.

Patterson received two life sentences in May for the death of Closs' parents and was given a 40-year sentence for kidnapping Jayme, who was 13 at the time. Patterson killed the teen's parents and held her in a remote cabin in Northwest Wisconsin for 88 days before she escaped to a neighbors home.

In the video released Thursday, Patterson can be seen speaking with another inmate before the inmate puts his hands up and moves toward Patterson. Patterson then punches the other inmate and the two begin wrestling.

The fight ends when a corrections officer fires a beanbag round at the men, striking a rail in front of them.

In the video you can see Patterson and the inmate stop fighting and lay on the ground following the discharge of the beanbag.

When questioned, Patterson told an officer that he was approached by two inmates, including the one he later fought with, regarding "his case involving a 14-year-old girl," according to the release.

Patterson said the inmates told him to leave the gym because of his crimes, the release said.

Neither inmate was seriously injured and both were put in prehearing detention pending the outcome of the disciplinary process, according to an incident report.

CNN has been unable to reach Patterson's public defender during his trial in Wisconsin, and it is unclear when or why Patterson was transferred to a prison in New Mexico.

Ben Askren has officially retired from mixed martial arts competition.

The former Bellator and One Welterweight champion made the announcement Monday on the Ariel Helwani Show, citing the need for a hip replacement.

The 35-year old came to the UFC in 2018 via an unusual trade. The UFC sent one of the best fighters in the world, Demetrious Johnson, to One Championship in exchange for the former Olympic wrestler. Askren's professional record at the time was 19-0.

His results in the UFC would have to be considered a disappointment.

In his debut, Askren won a fight against Robbie Lawler that ended in controversial fashion. Lawler was caught in a neck crank. Referee Herb Dean thought he lost consciousness and stopped the bout. Lawler immediately disputed the decision, but it stood.

Askren followed that up by getting brutally knocked out by Jorge Masvidal. He was then submitted in his next fight by Demian Maia, bringing his UFC record 1-2.

Askren talked a good game, but wasn't able to deliver. He simply looked outmatched against UFC competition.
