Romania's Parliament cancelled a no-confidence vote on Thursday after a father whose payments for his disabled child had been cut by the Romanian government leapt from a balcony in the parliament in protest against the decision. He was not seriously injured.

A loud thud reverberated in the chamber after the man, Adrian Sobaru - identified by the country's public television station as one of its engineers - hit the benches shortly after Prime Minister Emil Boc greeted the lawmakers.

As he jumped, he could be heard shouting: 'Boc, you've taken away the rights of our children'. Mr Sobaru, who suffered fractures to the face, and other non life-threatening injuries, was able to get into the parliament because he works as an electrician for the national television station. He then shouted "Liberty and Justice" as he was taken to hospital. He was also wearing a T-shirt with the slogan 'You've killed our future', according to reports.

12348721071?profile=originalWith only two games left in the NFL regular season, fans of the better squads are starting to daydream about the playoffs. Also speculation ramps up about which players will get coveted awards like Rookie Of The Year and Most Valuable Player.

The MVP race is going to most likely be decided between Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and New England Patriots signal caller Tom Brady.

Both are enjoying stellar seasons, leading their teams to the top of their respective divisions.

The Pats have an AFC leading 12 wins with only 2 losses. While the Eagles, coming off a stunning come from behind win over the New York Giants last Sunday are 10-4.

Vick's season has been remarkable, especially when you consider the fact he wasn’t even expected to play much this year. At the beginning of the season he was playing second string to Kevin Kolb. If not for a Kolb injury in the first game of the year, Vick might have given the chance to prove that he’s an even better player now that he was prior to going to jail for dog fighting.

Vick has passed for 2,755 yards, with 20 touchdowns and a passer rating of 103.6. Add to that his rushing statistics of 613 yards at an average of 6.7 yards per carry and 8 tds and it’s easy to see why he could win MVP.

But Brady is having just as good of a season with far less offensive talent around him. Vick is playing with a talented young running back, LeSean McCoy and two dynamite wide receivers in Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin.

After Randy Moss was traded following week 4, Brady’s only proven player left on offense was Wes Welker.

The Patriots QB has thrown for 3,561 yards, 31 touchdowns with only 4 interceptions in 449 attempts. His passer rating of 109.9 in incredible.

Brady has thrown 292 passes in a row without an interception. This Sunday against the Buffalo Bills if he throws 17 more passes without an int he will break a 19 year old NFL record set by Bernie Kosar.

Both Vick and Brady are deserving of the MVP Award, but there can only be one. Cast your vote below for the player you think deserves it the most.

Two drunk kids test the patience of a couple of NYC bouncers and one winds up on his a** several times because of it.

In a heated situation sometimes its better to just walk away. Instead these two clowns keep running their mouths, threatening a lawsuit.

Honestly they are lucky the bouncers had enough restraint, to hold themselves back from breaking their jaws.

What can’t Shaquille O’Neal do?

Besides being a future Hall of Fame basketball player, we’ve seen the Diesal box Sugar Shane Mosely, play beach volleyball against Misty May-Treanor and Keri Walsh, and run track against Tyson Gay on his reality show Shaq Vs.

So what does the big man do for an encore? Why not take a shot at conducting the Boston Pops Orchestra?

Yesterday (December 20), Big Shaq made his conducting debut, leading the orchestra in “Sleigh Ride” as part of the Holiday Pops Concert at Boston’s Symphony Hall.

ITV faces a huge backlash after thousands of viewers protested about lewd performances on the X Factor final.

Critics called on media regulator Ofcom to launch an inquiry into why ‘disgusting’ routines were shown before the watershed.

The performances by American singer Christina Aguilera and Bajan star Rihanna could have broken Ofcom’s broadcasting code which seeks to protect children from sexualised content.

Horrified parents – who watched the show with their sons and daughters – also accused ITV of breaking the bond of trust with viewers by failing to tone down the performances for younger fans.

By last night ITV had received about 1,500 complaints about the routines with Ofcom understood to have received a further 2,750-plus.

The media regulator is assessing the points made before deciding whether to launch a full-scale investigation into whether the raunchy material was ‘editorially justified’.

Ofcom’s Broadcasting Code states that ‘children must be protected by appropriate scheduling from material that is unsuitable for them’.

It adds: ‘Material that is unsuitable for children should not, in general, be shown before 9pm or after 5.30am.’

The ITV show aired between 7pm and 9pm on Saturday night.

The code also states that: ‘Any discussion on, or portrayal of, sexual behaviour must be editorially justified if included before the watershed.’

Simulated sexual moves, ‘porn imagery’ and provocative costumes stunned many who had expecting a more sober final weekend on the show.

During her Saturday night performance of What’s My Name, Rihanna shed her gown and cavorted around the stage in underwear, performing a series of suggestive dance moves.

She was surrounded by an army of dancers who performed in a similar way. This was then followed by Miss Aguilera’s performance which saw her in an extremely low-cut black dress writhing around the stage with her troupe of scantily-clad dancers.

They were seen sitting in chairs striking suggestive poses in nothing more than stockings, knickers and bras.

Parents are dismayed that the UK’s biggest family TV show resorted to such lurid tactics when it was already guaranteed to get massive ratings

They accuse it of providing a ‘sad’ and ‘terrible’ role model for children with what they called ‘soft porn’ routines.

Others claimed it would effectively encourage sexism in young boys and encourage young girls to dress inappropriately.

There were further complaints that boyband member Harry Styles was seen mouthing an obscene quip at winner Matt Cardle after Sunday night’s result was revealed.

The TV pressure group Mediawatch UK said it too had received complaints from the public about Saturday night’s final.

Popular Hot 97 radio personality Cipha Sounds is in a lot of trouble today after making a racially insensitive remark about Haitian women.

Last Friday December 17 during his show with Peter Rosenberg and K-Fox, Cipha joked, “The reason I’m HIV negative is because I don’t mess with Haitian women.”

Haitian groups are calling for the dj to be fired.

Members of The Haitian Roundtable, The Haitian America Caucus and BelTiFi are expected to protest outside of Hot97 today according to XXL.

Cipha expressed remorse for making the joke.

I made a stupid, tasteless joke that was totally taken the wrong way. If I said anything to offend my Haitian people I apologize.” he said

Derek Brown emerged from prison one year ago determined to make a change. Both within himself and the former neighborhoods in Chicago he once terrorized as a member of the Vice Lords street gang.

Formerly known on the streets as “Shotgun’, Brown has put down the rifle and picked up a pair of boxing gloves.

Now known as Coach Davis, he’s mentoring kids so they don’t follow in his footsteps, teaching them boxing as a form of self discipline.

It’s [gangs] a big problem in this city, for one it’s not enough programs that’s over here, not enough community centers,” Davis said.

Instead of waiting on help that would probably never come, Derek decided to start his own community center.

“It’s two parents… your home parents, whether that’s your mother or father, and it’s the streets," he explains. “That’s something that goes unnoticed. The streets will take your kids and turn them into what they is. I look at them and I think hope. I thimk somebody is going to be something in life. I think somebody is going to be definitely better than me.”

That’s what’s up, we need more people like Derek Brown out here in the community.

12348728255?profile=originalAdding a bizarre twist to an already strange story, former Bad Boy artist G-Dep is now saying he didn’t know the man he confessed to shooting 17 years ago had actually died.

In an interview with the New York Post, the troubled rapper seems to hint that he thought he would be walking out of the precinct after the confession.

I was surprised, for some reason I didn’t think that he died. When they [police] told me I was like, ‘Oh I’m not going home after this,’” he said.

As if the police would have let him just go on his merry way after confessing to shooting a man three times during a botched robbery.

When the story first broke Dep’s lawyer, Michael Alperstein told the Post the rapper should not be presumed guilty.

My client is presumed innocent, and the case is going to a grand jury,” the lawyer said.

Proving his innocence is going to be almost impossible, he knew details about the crime only the killer would know according to police.

After sitting in jail for several days, maybe the realization that he may never see the free world again is setting in on Dep. But he says he talked things over with his mother and girlfriend before going to the police station.

“I told my mom and my girlfriend that I wanted to confess and they both told me to leave it in the past. My girlfriend is pretty peeved,” the former chart topping rapper admitted. “I thought if I turned myself in it might give me closure, I’m just trying to get right with God. The only thing I regret is that I have to leave my kids.

Dep has three children with Lyvonnia Crawford.

Bottom line is he killed John Henkel on the night of October 19, 1993, now he’ll most likely have to pay for it.

Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, looking like a fool with your pants on the ground,” - General Larry Platt

Chances are your mom and grandmother don’t like seeing you walk around with your pants hanging low, so don’t be surprised if you get a gift this Christmas you will most likely never have use for.

Inventor Andrew Lewis has created Subs, short for sub-spenders. A sort of male garter belt designed to keep your pants up.

It’s a simple waist strap with four suspended straps. The idea is the user controls how low they wanna sag,” Lewis said. “There’s a point past even for them their pants fall too low.”

Reactions to the new invention were mixed on New York City’s 7th Avenue.

I like it, I mean we wanna be what we wanna be,” said one male passerby. “My wife would divorce me,” said another.

The sub-spenders sell for $30 online.

What are yall’s thoughts on Subs?

The dynamic duo of Eminem and Lil Wayne descended onto the Saturday Night Live stage yesterday for 3 high energy performances.

Backed by a live band, Weezy and Slim Shady tore through “No Love” and “Won’t Back Down" off Em’s ‘Recovery’ album. Then for the finale Wayne ripped through his latest single “6’7” off his upcoming ‘Tha Carter IV’ cd.

Overall, it was very entertaining. Would have been even better if Pink was there for the chorus on “Won’t Back Down” and Cory Gunz for his verse on “6’7”, but a great show nonetheless.

A couple of interesting stories have come out in the last several days regarding Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka.

The 1017 Brick Squad member stopped by 93.7 today to chop it up with Jenny Boom Boom and address all drama.

Right off the top, Jenny wanted to know if the story about the cops raiding his crib looking for guns and gang paraphernalia on Thursday December 16 was true.

I’m a rapper right? Why would I rap and go try to street gangbang? That’s hustling backwards… I’m a rapper not a gangbanger,” Waka said. “How can you gangbang and and be a rapper?”

Waka did admit that his house was raided by some “groupie cops” and that he wasn‘t home, but claimed to not know whether or not Gucci Mane had been arrested as had been reported.

A lot of people were surprised when Waka was placed at # 7 on MTV’s Hottest MC’s 2010 list. The rapper admitted that even caught him off guard.

“I thought that was a lyrical list. I thought all the lyrical rappers were supposed to be on that list,” Waka said. “When I got on that list I said, ‘Oh yeah, I’m gonna sit back for two hours, watch some blog sites and see how many haters I get.”

Waka’s mom Debra Antney raised eyebrows this week when she reviewed Nicki Minaj’s album ‘Pink Friday’ and labeled it as “terrible.”

Antney used to manage Nicki for a while, during that time she and Waka became friends. He hadn’t seen or heard about his mom’s comments, but he thought Nicki’s album was good.

It’s straight to me, that’s Nicki, that’s her swag. If you aint into her swag you aint gonna dig her her music,” Waka said. He added that he would like to get the Young Money femcee on his “No Hands” remix.
