Tekashi 6ix9ine's girlfriend was arrested this weekend after a dustup in Miami.

Rachel Wattley -- who goes by Jade -- was busted Sunday night on a battery charge related to domestic violence. She's been held on $1,500 bail at Miami-Dade County Jail ... where 69 tells us he's actually trying to bail her out.

Unclear what exactly precipitated this, but in footage obtained by TMZ -- you see Tekashi facing off with Jade & a group of women on the streets, this while they were all outside of a club. At one point, you see one of the ladies apparently try & swing on the rapper.

Eventually, Tekashi retreated to a luxury ride as people encircled him -- and it sounds like that's when cops finally showed up to break up the scene & find out what's what.

Officers saw Tekashi & Jade being escorted outside & engaging in a verbal argument. Tekashi left ... but when asked by a cop what had happened, he apparently told 'em Jade had hit him. They also say they saw marks on him.

The officers note they spoke to witnesses, who claimed Jade had struck 69 while inside & even grabbed at his chain. Although cops say they saw Tekashi with visible injuries on his face, they also say that in the end ... he didn't want to cooperate with them whatsoever.

Still, they had enough to cuff Jade & take her to the slammer. The cops say this whole thing was caught on tape from surveillance video inside ... plus all the other evidence.

SPRING, Houston (KTRK) -- A father had to shoot his own son, ultimately killing him, to defend his wife in Spring, deputies said.

It happened at about 2 a.m. in the 21700 block of Rhodes Road.

Deputies said the couple's 24-year-old son came home after drinking and started assaulting his mother with a liquor bottle.

He then charged toward his 75-year-old father, who grabbed a gun and shot his son in the chest, authorities said.

The son died at the scene, and authorities said the case will now likely go to a grand jury to determine if charges will be filed.

The mother, who is also in her 70s, was taken to a hospital with a wound to the head, deputies said. She is expected to be OK.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A couple’s honeymoon was cut short this summer after the husband allegedly left his new wife to solicit a prostitute, authorities said.

Sheriff Chad Chronister said Paul Turovsky, 34, was among the 176 people arrested following a months-long operation targeting human trafficking in Hillsborough County.

While on his honeymoon, Chronister said Turovsky answered an ad from an undercover detective posing as a prostitute. Chronister said the newlywed left his wife at their hotel and went to the undercover location, where he was arrested.

“We all probably have questions about how long this marriage lasted, but I think the only question here, with it ending to quickly, as a wedding guest, was it too late to get the gifts that they gave returned back to them?” Chronister said.

The investigation, which netted 176 arrests in total, focused on men soliciting adult prostitutes and also those looking for sex with underage victims. The sheriff’s office said most of the sting suspects were facing charges related to solicitation of prostitution.

The sheriff’s office said it arrested ten “Johns” who had inappropriate conversations or shared inappropriate pictures and videos with undercover detectives who they thought were minors.

Chronister said it was “disturbing” to see how many men wanted to solicit sex from undercover female detectives.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB/Gray News) - A toddler in Florida shot and killed himself while playing with a gun he was able to get his hands on, according to police.

The Gainesville Police Department said the 3-year-old child grabbed a gun from an unlocked gun case inside a home in the Lamplighter Mobile Home Community on Wednesday.

WCJB reports the gun went off at around 6 p.m. and hit the child.

Police said two other juveniles witnessed the shooting.

The toddler was rushed to the hospital, where he died.

Detectives are investigating the incident. Authorities gave no immediate word if any charges would be filed.

Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. was shot multiple times on Sunday evening during an attempted robbery.

Robinson Jr.'s injuries from the shooting are non-life threatening, per NBC Sports Washington's JP Finlay.

The incident occurred in Northeast Washington on the 1000 block of H Street, law enforcement sources told NBC4. The suspects tried to take Robinson Jr.'s Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, upon which a scuffle ensued and the shots were fired. Robinson Jr. was taken to an area hospital following the incident.

The 23-year-old was selected in the third round of the most recent NFL Draft and, after a strong preseason, was trending toward a major role in the team's offense during the 2022 regular season.

CLEVELAND (WOIO/Gray News) – The former lead pastor of a church in Ohio was found guilty of operating a funeral home without a license.

He is now headed to prison for almost 12 years, according to WOIO.

Shawnte Hardin was convicted in early August on 31 criminal charges that include operating an unlicensed funeral home, abuse of a corpse, passing bad checks, theft and tampering with records.

Authorities say Hardin is linked to the cremated remains of nearly 90 people found inside of his now former church in Akron.

Hardin’s attorney said the cremated bodies were being stored at the church after a friend of Hardin’s, who was a funeral home director, lost his license. The funeral director said he was storing the cremains as he tried to locate relatives of the deceased, but the funeral director has since passed away.

Before Hardin was sentenced to 11 years and 10 months in prison by a judge in court, WOIO reports that the people he hurt yelled in outrage. One woman reportedly in tears yelled, “You lied to me, you lied to me!”

Another woman in tears asked Hardin, “Is this how you treat family?”

The prosecutor said substantial incarceration was needed for a man who violated the public’s trust and impersonated a funeral director in at least four counties.

Vanessa Bryant plans to donate the $16 million verdict she won in her suit against Los Angeles County to the sports nonprofit founded by her husband, Kobe Bryant.

The widow said she was giving the sum to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation “to shine a light on Kobe and Gigi’s legacy,” the Los Angeles Times reported.

The charity, launched by Kobe Bryant after his retirement in 2016 as the Mamba Sports Foundation — a nod to his nickname, the Black Mamba — provides funding and sports programming for young athletes in underserved communities, according to its website.

The foundation was renamed in 2020 after the 41-year-old NBA legend and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were killed in a helicopter crash, according to the report.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (ABC24) — Memphis-Shelby County Schools said it will host its 2022 Alumni Hall of Fame to celebrate people who have been “role models and innovators” in visual arts, music, and education on Friday, August 26.

According to MSCS, Derek Fordjour, Dr. Glenda Glover, Joe Johnson, and Adolph "Young Dolph" Thornton Jr. will all be recognized at the ceremony.

Young Dolph was killed on November 17, 2021. along with his career as a rapper, he was considered to be a pillar in the Memphis community, and he is remembered for his selfless acts of service.

Young Dolph donated $25,000 to Hamilton High School, his alma mater, before he died.

The ceremony will be held at the Hilton Hotel at 6:30 p.m.
