Jedrzejczyk says she is ready to return to the strawweight division after moving up a weight class and losing to Valentina Shevchenko for the flyweight championship. Jedrzejczyk also comments on why she was mad at Rose Namajunas for not defending her title when Jedrzejczyk was a “busy champion.”

NOLA.com -- After a Popeyes robber could not open a cash register, New Orleans police said, he resorted to making off with some fried chicken instead.

The man entered the Popeyes in the 8700 block of Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East just before noon Monday (Feb. 4) and attempted to steal money from the register. But the register wouldn’t budge so he grabbed some fried chicken and fled the business, according to initial police reports.

Police later located and arrested Phillip Lee, 27, in relation to the botched robbery. He was arrested on allegations of simple robbery and simple battery. He appeared in court later that day where Magistrate Judge Brigid Collins set his bond at $13,500.

Report via BBC -- A 27-year-old Indian man plans to sue his parents for giving birth to him without his consent.

Mumbai businessman Raphael Samuel told the BBC that it's wrong to bring children into the world because they then have to put up with lifelong suffering.

Mr Samuel, of course, understands that our consent can't be sought before we are born, but insists that "it was not our decision to be born."

So as we didn't ask to be born, we should be paid for the rest of our lives to live, he argues.

A demand like this could cause a rift within any family, but Mr Samuel says he gets along very well with his parents (both of whom are lawyers) and they appear to be dealing with it with a lot of humor.

In a statement, his mother Kavita Karnad Samuel explained her response to "the recent upheaval my son has created."

"I must admire my son's temerity to want to take his parents to court knowing both of us are lawyers. And if Raphael could come up with a rational explanation as to how we could have sought his consent to be born, I will accept my fault," she said.

Mr Samuel's belief is rooted in what's called anti-natalism - a philosophy that argues that life is so full of misery that people should stop procreating immediately.

This, he says, would gradually phase out humanity from the Earth and that would also be so much better for the planet.

"There's no point to humanity. So many people are suffering. If humanity is extinct, Earth and animals would be happier. They'll certainly be better off. Also no human will then suffer. Human existence is totally pointless."

Mr Samuel says he remembers first having anti-natalist thoughts when he was five.

"I was a normal kid. One day I was very frustrated and I didn't want to go to school but my parents kept asking me to go. So I asked them: 'Why did you have me?' And my dad had no answer. I think if he'd been able to answer, maybe I wouldn't have thought this way."

As the idea grew and took shape in his mind, he decided to tell his parents about it. He says his mom reacted "very well" and dad too "is warming up" to the idea.

"Mom said she wished she had met me before I was born and that if she did, she definitely wouldn't have had me," he says laughing and adds that she does see reason in his argument.

"She told me that she was quite young when she had me and that she didn't know she had another option. But that's what I'm trying to say - everyone has the option."

WREG -- MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  A man with a violent history has been arrested again after police say he shot and killed his stepbrother and critically injured a woman as one of them pleaded for their life.

Police made the scene in the 1200 block of Favell Drive after someone flagged them down and asked them to conduct a welfare check. When they entered the home, they found Issacca Powell and a woman bleeding and unresponsive, having been shot multiple times.

Powell was declared dead on the scene. The woman was rushed to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

According to police, Calvin Wilkins was developed as a suspect after a family member told police he was responsible for the shooting. That witness stated the defendant was hosting a Super Bowl party at the home Sunday evening and became upset when his wife made a plate of food for someone else.

Wilkins reportedly became so verbally abusive that everyone but Powell and the female victim left the home.

Several minutes later, the witness told police they received several phone calls from one of the victim's phones that went straight to voicemail.  In those chilling messages, Wilkins could be heard speaking along with one of the victims who was pleading for their life, police said.

A second later, gunshots rang out.

Authorities said the witness identified Wilkins' voice to authorities.

WREG was there on Monday when Wilkins returned to the home and tried to go past the police tape to get inside. He was immediately stopped by authorities and put into a police car. A few minutes later, he was searched and cuffed.

During a subsequent interviews authorities said he admitted to being inside the home at 10:32 p.m. That's the exact time the voicemail was left on the witness' phone, police noted.

According to court documents, this was not the first time Wilkins has been accused of killing someone. In 2003, he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. He was on probation when his stepbrother was shot and killed.

The defendant was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, employment of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, felony attempt and being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.

Virginia attorney general Mark Herring said he wore blackface at a college party, just days after a blackface photo scandal emerged involving the VA governor. Get the latest in our LIVE COVERAGE.

In a statement, Herring said he dressed up like a rapper "like Kurtis Blow" for a college party, including wearing a wig and brown makeup. On Friday, it was revealed that VA governor Ralph Northam's med school yearbook page had a photo with a man in blackface next to a man in a KKK outfit. And soon afterwards, the VA lieutenant governor, Justin Fairfax, faced a sexual assault allegation. Herring is next in line for governor if Northam resigns and Fairfax doesn't assume the office, but Herring now faces a scandal, having admitted he wore blackface in college. Ok, I don't have alot of back story for this project and was struggling to find some, so I'll give mine. As I was listening to my Pandora Radio the other, I looked into indie and unknown artists and started a station. In the mix I heard a single titled "Coolie High" by artist XAVR and Jaaant. Now the song itself had quickly caught me with the beat and lyrical content. When I seen the title I was sold as "Cooley High" is one of my favorite films. Following a few repeats I was hungry for more and search for the artists. What I came across became an immediate classic in my book. 

The title artist is given as "$ammy J," with the title of the project being "N.$.D" and gave me more of a compilation vibe. The 13 track project featured a slew of talented and different emcees and artists. Each one bringing a lyrical skill to the mic that not only set them apart from each other...but apart from everything being produced and called hip hop today. 

Already hooked, I was sold once I reached track 10. The single "Starting Over" by Verb Wayz, was not only a total different lane than the rest of the project....but something I haven't had the pleasure of hearing in a while. Real R-N-B music. I mean REAL. A true singer. No auto tune or mass over lays. Just raw God given talent with an amazing presence. A-Z this project is an all out classic presentation of music. And a strong statement that true writers and performers still create beautiful music. 

As i said, I was not able to find alot of information...but I did find whats important. Great Music. The "N.$.D" project is available on all major streaming and distribution platforms.
