The seemingly never-ending delays may have come to an end, at least for those willing to traverse file-sharing sites. More tracks from Lil Wayne's long-awaited rock 'n' roll effort "Rebirth" have leaked, and industry trade Billboard is reporting that online retailer Amazon.com may have had a hand in getting the album in the hands of the as-yet-unknown culprit. About 500 copies of the album, writes the magazine, were shipped to fans who had pre-ordered the record, which had most recently been scheduled to be released on Dec. 21.Universal Music Group has repeatedly delayed the Cash Money / Universal Motown effort since last spring, and it now set to finally be released on Feb. 1. Billboard writes that about 1 million copies of the album have been manufactured, and about a third of those have been sent to retail accounts.
Representatives for the Universal Music Group and Amazon.com did not respond to requests for comment.
Billboard's report follows the high-profile leak this morning of the track "Drop the World," which features Eminem. If true, Lil Wayne's "Rebirth" would not be the first album to hit the Web as the result of an Internet retailer. Earlier this year, Rolling Stone reported that Kelly Clarkson's "All I Ever Wanted" had made its way to the Web due to an error with the Norwegian outpost of Apple's iTunes store.
Lil Wayne is the last artist to sell more than 1 million copies of an album in a week, a feat accomplished by his "Tha Carter III," when it debuted last year. While the initial tracks released and leaked from "Rebirth" have failed to capture the sort of attention of his rap efforts, his star power isn't necessarily in doubt. To date, "Tha Carter III" has sold more than 3.3 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The first single to emerge from "Rebirth" was "Prom Queen," which Billboard notes has sold 725,000 copies. More recently, the album's "On Fire" and "Da Da Da" were officially released. "On Fire" has yet to penetrate any major charts, but Billboard reports that it has sold 6,000 downloads since its Dec. 6 release.
If Universal does not bump up the release of "Rebirth," it will be arriving in stores just as Lil Wayne is expected to receive a year-long prison sentence. While it was known that the artist's sentencing would occur in February, the hearing is now officially set for Feb. 9, according to multiple reports.

Atlanta rap star T.I. is expected to be moved to a halfway house shortly after the first of the year as he nears the end of his federal prison sentence for illegal firearms possession and for possessing a gun as a convicted felon, officials confirmed Tuesday.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., began serving his sentence of a year and a day at a low-security prison in Arkansas last May. He is expected to be released from Bureau of Prisons custody on March 23, after serving 85 percent of his sentence.
Bureau of Prisons spokesman Edmond Ross said it was customary for an inmate to transition from prison to freedom via a halfway house if there is no danger to the community and if there is space at a facility near where he is to live after his prison time.
Usually that process begins when there are 18 months remaining on a sentence, “but in this case it would have to start sooner. It’s not uncommon for inmates to be placed in community corrections for the last portion of their confinement to help with his transition.”
Harris also could spend the final month of his sentenced confined to his house, Ross said.
Harris pleaded guilty in 2008 to possessing two silencers, three machine guns, a rifle and six handguns. In total, federal officers found 24 handguns, machine guns and rifles in Harris' Range Rover and three machine guns at his house in College Park.
Harris was convicted in Cobb County in 1998 for possessing cocaine with intent to distribute -- he also pleaded guilty to possession of a firearms by a felon
Federal agents targeted Harris in 2007 after they arrested his body guard, who bought guns from undercover agents. He said the three machine guns and two silencers were for Harris.
Shortly after the bodyguard arrest, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents arrested T.I. when he took delivery of the weapons from the bodyguard. The arrest took place just hours before, and blocks away from where Harris was to receive two awards at the 2007 BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta.
As part of his plea deal, Harris agreed to spend 1,500 hours talking to at-risk children and teens; including 1,000 due before prison. After he is released, Harris has a year on house arrest and two more on probation. The government fined him $100,000.

Neighbors - and the postman - have complained about the noise Caroline Cartwright and husband Steve make during sex.
A British woman is in trouble for enjoying sex a little too much.Caroline Cartwright, 48, has pleaded guilty to anti-social behavior for ignoring a noise abatement notice from the courts. In fact, she admits to violating a civil order three different times.
The order had banned Caroline and husband Steve from "shouting, screaming or vocalization at such a level as to be a statutory nuisance," according to the BBC.
The Cartwrights live in Washington, south of Newscastle in northeast England. Neighbors - and even the postman - have complained about the noise, according to the BBC and other reports.
"The noise sounds like they are both in considerable pain," neighbor Rachel O'Connor testified. "I cannot describe the noise. I have never ever heard anything like it."
Cartwright argued that she was unable to control the noise but had tried to "minimize the situation" by having sex in the morning, the Press Association reports.
According to the BBC, World Health Organization guidelines say 30 decibels is enough to cause sleep disturbance. The BBC reports that the Sunderland City Council told the court they had recorded noise levels of 47 decibels at the Cartwrights - using equipment installed in a neighbor's house.
Caroline Cartwright will be sentenced on January 18.

Feature film "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire." is doing it big. Critics from coast to coast have given the movie high marks. Their praise was justified today (December 15) as the film garnered three Golden Globe nominations.
Newcomer Gabourey Sidibe is up for best actress in a drama while Mo'Nique was nominated for best supporting actress.
The big prize however, could come in the Best Picture Drama category. where "Precious" will compete against "Avatar," "The Hurt Locker," "Inglourious Basterds," and "Up in the Air." for the coveted award.

Lil Wayne appeared in New York State Supreme Court today where a judge set a February 9,2010 date for sentencing on his gun charge case..
According to XXL, the rapper will be officially sentenced, surrender himself to authorities and be sent to prison all on that same day.
Young Money Records will have to lean heavily on budding superstar Drake during Wayne's absence. The label has plenty of releases ready to drop in the upcoming months.
First up is the group album 'We Are Young Money' (December 21), followed by Lil Wayne much delayed rock LP 'Rebirth' (February 1,2010). Then finally the debut cd from Drake 'Thank Me Later' in March 2010.

Hurricane Season, the basketball film starring Lil Wayne and Bow Wow, will not be hitting big screens as planned.
According to Woooha, the film's placement on the big screen was cancelled due to financial constraints faced by the company releasing the flick.
Hurricane Season will be available on DVD exclusively at Blockbuster stores this week.
As reported earlier, Hurricane Season is set in New Orleans during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and focuses on a high school basketball coach (played by Forest Whitaker) who takes his team of displaced students from various city schools to a state championship.
The film's cast also includes Isaiah Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Jackie Long and J.B. Smoove.

Comedian Charlie Murphy lost his wife recently, after she lost a long battle with cancer.
According to AOL's BlackVoices, Tisha Taylor Murphy suffered from breast cancer for the past two years, and passed away on Sunday (December 14).
In a statement released through his publicist, Charlie Murphy appreciates the support from friends and fans, but asks for privacy in this difficult time.
"Tisha Taylor Murphy, wife of comedian and actor Charlie Murphy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, with family at her side after facing the challenges of cancer for the past two years," the statement read. "The Murphy family appreciates all the support they have received from friends and fans and requests privacy during this very difficult time."
According to reports, Tisha died in her sleep in the couple's home in New Jersy. Her and Charlie had been married since August 1997. They have two children together -- Eva and Xavier.
Charlie Murphy is the brother of fellow comedian and actor Eddie Murphy. He's best known for his roles on "Chappelle's Show" and the hood parody movie "CB-4."

The X Factor final wasn’t the only thing happening in London last night. Sir. Elton John and his partner David Furnish were busy putting on a star studded bash in the capital…all in the name of charity.
The Grey Goose Character and Cocktails party held at the Grosvenor House hotel in association with the Elton John AIDS foundation saw the likes of The Saturdays, Daniel Merriweather and Elizabeth Hurley in attendance.
Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland performed a 45-minute live set at the party; proving she can be just as much of a diva as Mr. John himself by reportedly demanding for a bucket of KFC before singing at the bash.
Described as a winter ball, the likes of Lily Allen and Sugababes’ star Amelle Berrabah donned their best frocks to help raise money for Elton’s charity through ticket sales and an extra-special auction.
Allen, along with Lily Cole and Roland Mouret all designed portable bars, with an added hint of their own personalities which were auctioned off, as well as shoe-designer Patrick Cox’s one of a kind diamond watch.
Aside from glitzy party, Elton reminded his A-List audience about the work his charity does saying: "Every ten years we see the number of cases of HIV rise as a new generation needs to be educated about the risks of unsafe sex.”
He added: “Young people are playing Russian roulette with their lives. My message is always be safe."
Previously, Elton and David sold the contents of their designer wardrobe at the Out The Closest 2009 charity sale with all proceeds going to Elton’s AIDS fund.
Video After The JumpTiger Woods took his biggest blow yet as global giant Accenture Sunday dumped the cheating golf great.
Saying Tiger was "no longer the right representative," Accenture backed out of an endorsement deal worth an estimated $7 million a year.
The consulting and accounting firm, which once used Woods in a ubiquitous ad campaign that urged customers to "Go on, be a Tiger," scrubbed his image off its Web site Friday after he admitted to a string of extramarital affairs.
"After careful consideration and analysis, the company has determined that he is no longer the right representative for its advertising," Accenture said, adding that "it wishes only the best for Tiger Woods and his family."
Accenture is now the first giant corporate sponsor known to have cut all ties with the disgraced golf great, and its move could mark the beginning of the end of Woods' career as a pitchman.
AT&T and Gillette have also stopped running ads featuring theonce-beloved sports icon, and analysts say they may also dump him soon.
Woods' Accenture deal, first signed in 2003, is reportedly worth $7 million a year. The Gillette deal is worth $20 million, and other sponsorship deals could cost Tiger tens of millions more.
With Woods off the golf course and still creating damaging headlines, experts say it makes little sense for sponsors to stick with him.
"If he's not golfing, those ads don't make sense,"said Rick Burton, a professor of sports management at Syracuse University.
Nike and video game maker Electronic Arts are standing by Woods - for now.
Woods' agent did his best to play down the Accenture move.
"Accenture has made a decision to not continue with their sponsorship. We are disappointed but respect their decision," said Mark Steinberg of IMG Worldwide. The PGA Tour said it would have no comment on the decision.
The crushing financial blow came as Woods, 33, endured another humiliating bimbo eruption.
One of the women he squired during a serial cheating spree says they were in bed together when he got the call that his beloved dad had succumbed to cancer, she says.
"I was beside him wearing nothing but a pair of panties," Jamie Jungers, 26, told The News of the World in London.
Jungers, who has admitted her 18 months with Tiger Woods ended sourly, revealed that she was on one of her many hookups with Woods at his $3 million Newport Beach, Calif., mansion on May 2, 2006.
Earl Woods, 76, ill with prostate cancer, was on his deathbed in a nearby hospice.
Tiger And His Father
"We were hangin' out and [Tiger] got a phone call from his mother. His father wasn't doing very well," she said.
Tiger went to the hospice for several hours, but when he returned, he was raring to go.
"I could see he was preoccupied and worried about his dad - but when we went to bed he still wanted to have sex as usual," Jungers recalled.
"We went to sleep. I was beside him wearing nothing but a pair of panties. Then at about 3a.m. the phone rang. It was Tiger's mom.
"She called to tell him that his dad had passed away. Tiger looked utterly devastated and didn't say a word.
"He didn't even cry but I could tell he was heartbroken."
Jungers first met Woods at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas in 2005 - mere months after Tiger's wedding to Elin Nordegren.
"He was kinda like a little kid," she said of the time they spent together.
Things ended badly, she said. Jungers recently insisted "she got nothing out of this relationship but a broken heart."

• Florida child welfare investigators visited the Woods family mansion over the weekend, it was reported Sunday.
The agency went to the Windermere, Fla., mansion accompanied by a squad car from the Orange County sheriff's office and stayed for "roughly an hour" Saturday, radaronline reported.
The "well-being check" was triggered by a complaint to the Department of Children and Families, TMZ.com reported.
