Young Buck Has Moment of Clarity With G-Unit

Regardless of his evident potential, nothing seems to matter as his heavy grind has not been able to iron out his issues with 50 Cent and has not been able to release another album.Calling into DJ Whoo Kid's radio station during Kid's birthday, Buck spoke on the past and the hope to find a way to reconcile their differences and move on to future endeavors.“At the end of the day, it was really all a misunderstanding from the beginning with me and the 50 cent situation. It just was no communication to get anywhere…He took his actions and did what he had to do with it. It is what it is, my nigga, but if there's room for a nigga to make something work, I would be less of a man to not be open to it. I'm bout making money.”Buck has been able to survive the storm and has stated that he may have come out with cuts and bruises, but pain is necessary for growth as he has come back even stronger and much smarter than he was as it relates to the actual music as well as the business aspect.“This ain't the same Buck that you seen 3 or 4 years ago. My mind is better, my physical shit is on. Everything is together my nigga. I came in this game to be in this game long term. I didn't come in to come and go.”Although he has no qualms with his former group, Buck stated his preference to continue on his own as he was not able to be himself while in the group. His mixtapes and glimpses in his second album Buck The World, show a different side to the rapper and the fact that he may not have fit into the mold, which also made him a standout in the group.It is necessary, however, that 50 and Buck has an actual one-on-one with another face to face and discontinue the discussions over the phone.“In certain situations, I feel like I'm right and he's wrong and vice versa. We just need to have a real nigga conversation face to face. This phone shit don't work. I don't mind coming to a nigga and looking a nigga in his eye.”As time has progressed, the beef on wax has trickled down to reality with the recent escalation of violence among the youth, particularly the Black community. Accept it or reject it, Hip-Hop is becoming the role model so instances such as these to make peace should not be taken for granted.

Videos After The Jump NY Daily News Reports The Louisiana justice of the peace who caused a national controversy when he denied a marriage license to an interracial couple won't apologize for his actions. "I'm sorry, you know, that I offended the couple, but I did help them and tell them who to go to and to get married," Keith Bardwell said on CBS' 'The Early Show' Monday. "And they went and got married, and they should be happily married, and I don't see what the problem is now." Bardwell, a justice of the peace in the state's Tangipahoa Parish, refused to issue the license to groom Terence McKay, who is African-American, and his white bride-to-be, Beth Humphrey, in early October. The couple was later married by another justice of the peace. Bardwell, who is white, defended his actions, saying that he was worried about an interracial couple's future children and the hardships they would face. "I've had countless numbers of people that was born in that situation, and that they claim that the blacks or the whites didn't accept the children," Bardwell told 'Early Show's' Harry Smith. "And I didn't want to put the children in that position." But calls for his dismissal have continued around the country over the weekend. "Disciplinary action should be taken immediately -- including the revoking of his license," Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said in a statement Friday. Bardwell's stance technically violates the 1967 U.S. Supreme Court Loving vs. Virginia ruling that state governments could not place race-based restrictions on marriage. But the official said he is within his legal rights to recuse himself from performing a marriage ceremony. "It's kind of hard to apologize for something that you really and truly feel down in your heart you haven't done wrong," Bardwell told WAFB on Saturday. AllHipHop Reports T-Pain’s performance at South Africa’s annual Macufe African Cultural Festival has been lambasted by local artists for the star’s alleged elitist and disrespectful behavior. Several artists have reported that they were kicked out of the backstage changing area because T-Pain refused to share space with them. Others stated they were harassed simply for attempting to watch the American star’s set from the vicinity of the stage. Artist Thembi Seete verified that she had a confrontation with security guards, and feels that the U.S. artists look down on their peers from other countries. “I want to thank Macufe organizers for allowing me to perform there, but what happened to me was unacceptable,” she explained to the Sunday World. “I wasn’t allowed to stand next to the stage when T-Pain was performing. It is sad that these U.S. artists think they are all that and [can] treat local artists the way they treated us.” Seete’s manager Kgomo Modise said these issues are nothing new, and happen every time an international star makes their way to the country. “My artist was seated next to the stage waiting to perform when local security guards came and ordered us to leave the vicinity,” Modise explained to Sunday World. “We asked him why because we had ‘all access’ cards and artists tags but he insisted we leave the place. It was only when we threatened to expose them in the media that they left us alone. It is bad that local artists are treated like this every time an international artist is here.” Festival organizer Joe Chakela vehemently denied the accusations, but conceded there was a policy in place to make sure no artists remained on stage after a performance. “People must not come with their own stories. Nobody was manhandled or chased away from the stage,” he stated. “The policy was that artists who had finished performing must not go on stage or near it to watch T-Pain perform.” T-Pain is working on a new album, tentatively titled Revolver.

SixShot.com Reports The fate of former Bad Boy rapper Shyne who faces deportation to his homeland Belize after serving eight years in prison for his role in a New York City shooting, rests in the hands of Charles Ogletree - Harvard law professor and President Obama insider. Professor Ogletree is an associate of Harvard Professor Henry Gates of President Obama's famed beer fest. Shyne's uncle in Belize, Michael Finnegan, who is a member of parliament and the cabinet controlled by Shyne's father Belize Prime Minister Dean Barrow told the media this weekend that: "All the lawyers who were dealing with his immigration problems, they are totally off the case now. "The matter is placed squarely in the hands of Professor Ogletree. All legal options or legal directions or whatever the case may be in terms of legal movements, these are now in the hands of Professor Ogletree. "He has stepped in totally, he was given permission to deal with the situation in all its aspects. [Shyne's] father who is the Prime Minister is one of the best attorneys in this country and I would want to believe he has total confidence in Ogletree, and I believe the family knows what it is doing." Shyne's estranged father, the Prime Minister of Belize had earlier this week revealed that on the advice of Charles Ogletree, he had written a letter to New York Governor David Paterson asking for a pardon for his son so that Shyne would be able to remain in the U.S.A. despite current U.S. rules that convicted felons be deported to their homeland at the end of their sentence. Mr. Michael Finnegan has reiterated that the family in Belize has a backup plan should Shyne be sent back to Belize: "But as I have said to you before, we are optimistic but if worse comes to worse, we are doing all preparations at my home, to have him be there. All the accommodations and construction is taking place to accommodate him if he has to come home. "If he has to land here and stay for a little while, it will not be long before he uses Europe to work out from. He will go and live in a European country." The New York State Department of Corrections records show that Shyne was released from the Woodbourne Correctional Facility on Oct. 6th on parole but his release was subject to immigration review. Shyne was born in Belize, Central America. As a child, he was reportedly spurned by his father due to his illegitimacy and mixed ethnicity. The rapper relocated with his mother to Flatbush, in Brooklyn, New York City at about age 13. He never acquired U.S. nationality.

MTV Reports LAS VEGAS — When it comes to attracting big names for charity, Justin Timberlake has no trouble. Saturday night in Las Vegas saw the wide reach of JT's star power, with a diverse lineup of artists from Snoop Dogg to Taylor Swift taking part in his second annual Justin Timberlake & Friends Concert, benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. While last year's show boasted many onstage collaborations, Justin had high hopes for this year's event — which included the aforementioned Doggfather and country queen, plus Alicia Keys, TLC, Timbaland, Ciara and Jay Sean. "There were a lot of acts this year that weren't able to get here till today, so there weren't as many collabs as I had in my brain," Timberlake told MTV News during rehearsals. "But I think that's always the case, it's kind of like [when] you do an album and you write, like, 40 songs, and then 12 of them make it. ... But still, just having everyone out and getting to see them do their set — there are a couple of things that have never been performed onstage. There's a new song from [Timbaland] tonight, from his record that we did together. I think Snoop's doing a new song from his new record. So it's kinda cool for them too, because it's like perfect test marketing." The night saw Justin wearing many hats (including a fedora) — acting as emcee, performer and maestro. He even kept the crowd updated with the Yankees/Angels score in between sets. But the fans were there for music, and they sure got their money's worth. Jay Sean kicked off the night's performances, accompanied by U.K. beatbox champion MC Zani. The duo took a different take on the British singer's current hit, "Down," starting off with a beatbox intro and acoustic guitar, until launching into a full version of the song with Justin's band — which served as the house band for the whole evening.

Next up was Taylor Swift, and Justin assured everyone that there would be no Kanye-style stage crashing on his watch. "Don't worry, guys, I got security on the sides, so no one can come up and ruin her set," Timberlake told the crowd. As soon as Swift hit the opening notes of "You Belong With Me," she had the crowd on their feet. Her raucous set was full of hair tosses and hip swings, impressive for the silver dress she performed in, dripping with what looked like diamonds. Her set got even more dazzling when she strapped on a shimmery acoustic guitar for "Love Story."

Justin introduced the next artist as "one of the greatest musicians of my generation." Alicia Keys then strutted across the stage in a stunning pair of red pumps, and took a seat at her piano to belt out "Doesn't Mean Anything." After the song, Alicia addressed the crowd. "I wanna tell you a little about myself, where I'm from," she said, launching into the hook from "Empire State of Mind" then going right into "Fallin'," which sounded even more impressive with the house band's backup singers. The Mandalay Bay Events Center could barely contain the energy.

For the next performance, JT told the crowd, "Ladies and gentlemen, asses up, give it up for the one and only, legendary T-L-C!" Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas' first performance in six years sent the crowd into a frenzy, as the duo tore through a barrage of hits — "FanMail," "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg," "What About Your Friends," "Baby Baby Baby," "Creep," "Waterfalls" and "No Scrubs." While founding member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes is no longer with us, her presence was still in the room as her vocals were filled in by live performance footage on the screen.

The next performance brought the night's first on-stage collaboration. After Justin got the crowd moving to "Señorita," he welcomed Ciara onstage for "Love Sex Magic." The crowd stayed on their feet for the rest of Ciara's set — "Goodies" and "1, 2 Step."

Next up was Snoop Dogg, who performed "Drop It Like It's Hot," "What's My Name" and new single "Gangsta Love." Continuing the night's collaborations, Snoop told the crowd, "Since my homeboy Justin asked me to come out here tonight, I'm gonna ask him to come out right now." The guys broke into "Signs," doing a little two-step action. Justin took the reins, jumping into a medly of "Summer" and "Chop Me Up," with Timbaland coming out to do his verse on "Chop." Tim stayed on stage for "Give It to Me," which had girls spilling into the aisles to dance. The duo then broke into the brand-new song that Justin had promised, the title of which they never announced. It features an anthemic chorus with the lyrics "Turn me on now" and a breakdown that repeats "What's your name?/ What's your number?/ I'm glad I came, so you can take my order." Two hours into the show, it was time for Justin to take over. JT launched into an acrobatic mash-up of hits — both his and other artists'. It started with an acoustic rendition of "Like I Love You," then transitioned to Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" during the "Like I Love You" chorus. Next was Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody," mixed with the lyrics of "Cry Me a River," then going back to the KOL chorus. "Lovestoned" followed, blended with Coldplay's "Viva la Vida."

The night seemingly was coming to an end as Justin sat down at a piano for a heartfelt performance of "What Goes Around ... /... Comes Around," but although he announced it was his last song, he changed his mind. "I'm in the mood," he told the Vegas crowd. He shouted to his band to freestyle on the next song, and they settled on "Until the End of Time." The show ended just shy of midnight, capping off another successful year for Justin and his charity. Honors are especially due for Justin's bandmembers, who spent nearly three hours on stage backing up the night's performers.

MTV Reports NEW YORK — The magic is back. R. Kelly still has it. Friday night at Wamu Theater at Madison Square Garden, the once legal-trouble-ridden singer showed why he's one of music's all-time greats, keeping the audience on its feet for almost all 90 minutes of his performance. The Ladies Make Some Noise Tour gives R. a chance to dig through one of the deepest catalogs of classics of any current viable act. Surprisingly, almost halfway through the show, he spoke about his legal battle and victory. "This is the first tour since my court case," said Kells, who was found not guilty on 14 counts of child pornography last year. "I'm still here. I'm still here!" he said with palpable sincerity, garnering applause. Then he started singing, "Thank you, Jesus." "When I was walking outta court, I was singing to myself, 'Heaven, I need a hug/ Is there anybody out there ready to embrace a thug?' " he added. Friday night's R. Kelly concert once again showed that the singer has mastered every area of live performance. Some women were literally climbing over barricades to dance in the aisle as Kelly closed with two of his signature records, "Step in the Name of Love" and "Happy People." But Kelly could have closed with any of the many timeless hits that he's put out during the past 15 years. Much like Jay-Z or Mary J. Blige, Kells performs to audiences that obviously have their own personal relationships with the records and the music forever stamped in their hearts. The concert started off with a red carpet being rolled out and female audience members standing onstage behind a velvet rope, making the scene look like the entrance to a hot club or a major industry party. Kelly came out in sunglasses, jeans, a black T-shirt and a sport coat. He went from his "Flashing Lights" freestyle to a frenzy-causing medley of celebrated tunes: "That's That Sh--" went into "Wonderful," which went into "We Thuggin'," which went into "Thoia Thoing," which went into "I'mma Flirt." It seemed like he could toss out records forever. Then he stopped and spoke — or rather sang a melody to a stagehand. "Can you move that carpet, please?/ 'Cause I almost tripped three goddamn times." He repeated this impromptu, sing-songy request a few times before talking to the crowd: "Y'all know I make a song outta everything. Y'all laughing, but that sh-- be on the radio." Kelly then paraded out even more classics, including "It Seems Like You're Ready" and "Bump N' Grind," before adding some new lyrics to the show. He made up a song about women with no junk in the trunk. "Little-bootie girls, would you stand and turn around/ Slap it and ask the big-bootie girls, 'How you like me now?' " This transitioned into "Feelin' on Yo Booty." Kelly's covers added another dimension to the show. He impersonated Ron Isley when singing the song he wrote and produced for the legend, "Contagious." The crowd took over the duty of singing Kelly's part on Mr. Biggs' record. During a break, Kelly saluted Michael Jackson. He played a videotaped message of himself in his studio surrounded by plaques he received from working with the King of Pop. He then showed footage of MJ dancing in a car to "Ignition (Remix)" while director Brett Ratner drove. Kelly's last tribute of the night was one he said his mother would definitely enjoy if she were still living. That was to Sam Cooke. Dressed in a tuxedo and red bow tie, the R. returned to the stage for rousing renditions of "Bring It on Home to Me" and "A Change Is Gonna Come."
