Video After The Jump

Dr. Dre's success in the music business is well documented. From his days as a member of N.W.A., to his solo career and production work for artists such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, Eve, Mary J. Blige, Scarface, Xzibit and many more. After 27-years of providing some of hip hop's best music, the industry veteran says it's time to slow it down.

In a new interview with Fader, Dre talks about concentrating on working with California MC's Slim The Mobster and Kendrick Lamar on their upcoming projects before starting to spend more quality time with his loved ones.

"These are the next two artists that I'm working on, Slim The Mobster and Kendrick Lamar. I think after that I'm gonna wrap it up for a minute," Dre said. "Because I've been doing music for 27 years now and the longest I've ever been out out the studio in 27 years, is 2 weeks. So, I feel like I'm going to take a little bit of a break. I'm never gonna stop music it's like air to me. I'm gonna take a little bit of a break. Enjoy some time with the family until I get that itch to get back in."

Dre doesn't mention Detox at all during the interview. Hopefully that is still on the horizon.

Jay-Z is one of four people to be honored as GQ's Men of the Year 2011. Joining Hov are Mila Kunis, Michael Fassbender and Jimmy Fallon.

Hov sat down with GQ writer Alex Pappademas and opened up about everything from his dad leaving when he was 11-years old, the decision to reveals Beyonce's pregnancy, the song "N*ggas In Paris" and more.

Did he and Kanye West argue a lot during the making of 'Watch the Throne'?

Only about what's best for the song, which is great.

On dealing with Kanye's need to be a perfectionist

I think he just can't help himself. He puts so much into everything, and he's like, 'You have to treat it like I treat it.' It drives you crazy sometimes—like when you've put seventy-five versions of a snare on one song and he's like, 'No!' and you're like, 'Come on, man.'

On the song "N*ggas In Paris"

It's not, like, 'We're here! We're balling harder than everybody,' It's like, 'I'm shocked that we're here.' Still being amazed, still not being jaded. Having so much fun and then stopping and saying, 'What are we doing here? How did we get here?'

On his father, Adnis Reeves

If your dad died before you were born, yeah, it hurts—but it's not like you had a connection with something that was real. Not to say it's any better—but to have that connection and then have it ripped away was, like, the worst. My dad was such a good dad that when he left, he left a huge scar. He was my superhero.

While the world is still mourning the death of hip hop pioneer Heavy D, who passed away last week at age 44, his peers are remembering his influence on the game.

One such peer is DMX, who credits Heavy with inspiring him to pursue a rap career.

"Heavy D was the first celebrity that I ever seen in my life. He's from Mount Vernon (New York). The first person from Westchester County to make it big," X said. "Before it was all these people from Brooklyn and The Bronx getting on. So, now it was somebody I could relate to. He gave me hope that it could be done."

Dark Man X also recalled the last time he saw Heavy.

"I seen him at the [2011] BET Awards. And he hugged me so hard it picked me off my feet, and gave me a kiss on the cheek. It was a little weird, but you know I was like, 'Wow this dude really got a lot of love and respect for me.' Then to find out that he passed...I couldn't believe it."

What we don't know

The code of the streets is don't let any one see you sweat. Man your grounds, kill the next if needed.

What if I told you that drugs and guns was put into our communities to slow down our race. Would

you take my advise and try to change? Why is it that whites can start businesses together, Mexicans

can survive with ten others on a low income, but blacks can't do any thing together? There is no unity

in our nation. All i'm saying is there must be a time when real change must come to past. Get it together.

Jay-Z has decided to pull his Occupy Wall Street themed t-shirts from Rocawear's website amid criticism he was trying to profit from the movement without giving anything back to the cause.

The plan was to sell the t-shirts emblazoned with the phrase "Occupy All Streets" for $22 with all of the money going back to the company.

"Jay-Z, as talented as he is, has the political sensibility of a hood rat and is a scrotum," says Grim, described as one of the leaders of the Occupy movement by TMZ. "To attempt to profit off of the first important social moment of 50 years with an overpriced piece of cotton is an insult to the fight for economic civil rights known as #occupywallstreet."

A spokesperson for Rocawear confirmed to Gawker.com a couple of days ago that the company had no plans to share the wealth at this time.

The 'Occupy All Streets' T shirt was created in support of the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement. Rocawear strongly encourages all forms of constructive expression, whether it be artistic, political or social. 'Occupy All Streets' is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street. At this time we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement.

TMZ reports they have been trying to contact Hov's camp for two days with no luck.

Manny Pacquiao was taken to the limit Saturday night before escaping with a majority decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez in their welterweight title fight.

Pacquiao won on two scorecards, while the third ringside judge had it a draw. It was a narrow escape for the Filipino congressman, who took as much punishment as he got over 12 rounds.

The third fight between the two was as close as the previous two, and by the time they finished 12 arounds the outcome was still in doubt. Pacquiao won some rounds with sheer agression, while Marquez won others with brilliant counterpunching, keeping Pacquiao from getting inside.

Marquez was a 7-1 underdog, but it was clear early he would be in this fight. He picked Pacquiao apart with right hands almost every time he tried to get inside, and landed good hard flurries throughout the fight.

Pacquiao was the aggressor throughout, and landed some sharp punches of his own. But when the decision was announced, the crowd booed roundly and, once again Marquez had lost a close fight.

One ringside judge had it a 114-114 draw, while two others favored Pacquiao by 115-113 and 116-112. The Associated Press had it 114-114.

The sellout crowd at the MGM Grand arena threw bottles and cans toward ringside after the decision was announced, with one full can hitting a ringside writer. Marquez, who had been bitter about the scoring in the first two fights, stormed out of the ring.

Pacquiao continued his remarkable run with the win, but it didn't come easy. He had trouble all night finding his range and, when he did get inside, Marquez often moved to the side and landed a counter right hand.

It was the third close fight between the two men, though this one was fought at 144 pounds instead of 125 as was their first fight seven years ago. That fight was a draw, while Pacquiao won a split decision in the second bout in 2008 at 130 pounds.

"My fans are very happy because they thought I won," Pacquiao said when asked about the crowd reaction.

Marquez fought going backward all night, and that might have been his undoing. While he landed well at times, Pacquiao was in his face most of the night.

"I got robbed," Marquez said. "I don't know what else I can do to win."

Pacquiao earned a minimum $22 million for the fight, while Marquez got $5 million.
