Future and Rocko may soon be facing off in court now that they have filed lawsuits against each other.

As we previously reported, Rocko sued Future for $10 million in June, alleging the rapper signed a deal with his A1 Recordings label in 2011. As part of the agreement, Future's first six albums would be recorded for the label.

The record executive claims Future breached his contract by negotiating backdoor deals with A1's distributor, Epic Records, without his knowledge. Then failed to pay A1 it's 25% cut from those multi-million dollar advances.

Rocko wants proper financial compensation, plus a share of Future's earnings from endorsements and touring.

12352355673?profile=original

TMZ reports that Future has now filed a counter-suit.

The "Turn On the Lights" hit maker claims his deal with A1 Recordings was not exclusive and the advances Epic Records gave him were above board.

He adds that Rocko and A1 actually owe him money because he had to pay out of pocket for all of his recording costs and wasn't reimbursed by the label. In addition, Future says he never received the $10,000 per album advances he was due.

The rapper is asking a judge to force Rocko to cough up the money he's owed.

Video After The Jump

(Houston Chronicle) The family of Sandra Bland - who died while in custody at the Waller County Jail - has reached a tentative $1.9 million out-of-court settlement with state and county officials that could bring statewide changes to rural jails across Texas.

The tentative settlement - reached late Wednesday - calls for Waller County to pay $1.8 million and the Texas Department of Public Safety to pay $100,000, according to San Antonio attorney Tom Rhodes, one of three lawyers who represented Bland's mother, Geneva Reed-Veal, in the federal lawsuit filed in Houston.

The settlement would need approval of state officials and Waller County commissioners before being finalized, officials said.

Waller County's attorney Larry Simmons issued a statement Thursday saying that final details were still being worked out and that the county agreed that all details would be confidential until finalized.

The settlement does not include any admission of fault or wrongdoing, he said.

The tentative settlement calls for jail reforms not just in Waller County but in other rural jails in Texas, a move that would require action by state lawmakers.

Any bill passed by legislators would bear Sandra Bland's name, according to terms of the settlement.

In July 2015, DPS Trooper Brian Encinia arrested Bland during a questionable traffic stop, alleging she had assaulted him. Three days later, the 28-year-old woman committed suicide while in the Waller County Jail.

Bland's mother  filed the federal lawsuit against against Waller County, several  county officials and two jailers, and DPS  Trooper Brian Encinia.

Under terms of the settlement released Thursday, changes would be required for both DPS and Waller County.

  • The DPS has agreed to provide de-escalation training for all current and former troopers statewide.
  • Waller County would be required to have a nurse or emergency technician at the jail round-the-clock, and would set up a tele-medicine system so that inmates could be screened by physicians face-to-face, Rhodes said.
  • The county also would be required to set up sensors to validate cell checks electronically, he said.
  • State representatives would be asked to work together to draft legislation in Bland's name to require similar changes in other rural jails.

Simmons said in the statement that the terms of the settlement would go before commissioners for approval. He said the county would be required to pay only a $1,000 deductible but did not provide additional details about whether a county insurance policy might pick up the bulk of the settlement.

James Prince (middle) has stepped into the Lil Wayne vs Birdman beef

Rap-A-Lot Records founder James Prince is stepping in to aid Lil Wayne in his stalled contract negotiations with Birdman and Cash Money Records.

Wayne filed a $51 million breach of contract lawsuit against Cash Money in January of 2015.

12352354263?profile=original

Prince also vowed to get money owed to his son, Jas Prince, for the deal he worked out with YMCMB after discovering Drake.

"Where [Wayne] is weak, I am strong. He has gained an ally, and together we will get back all money owed to him and my son off the Drake albums," Prince told TMZ.

12352354669?profile=original

Drake with Jas Prince

Jas discovered Drake on Myspace, then introduced him to Wayne. Part of the deal Drizzy signed with Young Money Records called for Jas to receive a portion of the profits generated from the "One Dance" hit maker's album sales.

Jas would eventually file a lawsuit claiming he had not been properly compensated financially. In February of 2015, he demanded that Cash Money Records, the parent company of Young Money Records, open their books and give a full accounting of the money Drake has generated for the label.

"I witnessed the hard work that went into Drake's career and for Cash Money to try and take something that isn't theirs to take, does not sit well with me and family around the world," James Prince explained to TMZ.

Kid Cudi had social media buzzing Wednesday, September 14, with a stream of fiery tweets that took aim at Drake and his former G.O.O.D. Music label boss, Kanye West.

"Everyone thinks they're soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them," Cudi wrote. "My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These niggas dont give a fuck about me. And they aint fuckin with me."

12352358865?profile=original

It didn't take West long to respond.

During his concert Wednesday night at Amalie Arena in Tampa, West stopped the show briefly to fire back.

“Kid Cudi, don’t ever mention 'Ye name!” West roared to the approval of the 16,000 fans in attendance. “I birthed you! … Don’t try to say who I can do songs with! You mad 'cause I’m doing songs with Drake? Can’t nobody tell 'Ye who to do songs with! Respect the God!”

Sheesh!

In April of 2013 Kid Cudi left Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label. He released a statement at the time saying there were no hard feelings.

"Man, everything is cool," the Cleveland rapper said. "Everything is peace with everybody on the label. There's never been any issues, but I am announcing that I'm no longer on G.O.O.D. Music. And this is something that no one knows, really. I'm no longer on G.O.O.D. Music."

On Wednesday, September 14, Cudi went on a Twitter rant that suggests he didn't reveal his true feelings when he exited stage left.

"I need yall to know I got so many haters within the industry and these clowns know Im bout to crush their entire existance," he began. "Everyone thinks they're soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them. Let me tell you something. The days of the fuckery are over. The fake ones wont be lasting too much longer. Im the one they worry about cause they know I dont give a fuck about the corny shit they do. And all u jealous chicken hearted shits I see you too. I am the culture. I keep silent because I dont ever wanna come off like some angry hater, but today, not only do I feel fantastic, Im feelin like taking over. I already have."

Cudi then got more specific about the targets of his diatribe, when he named both Kanye and Drake.

12352347055?profile=original

"My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These niggas dont give a fuck about me. And they aint fuckin with me," the Day 'N' Night hitmaker continued. "Niggas keep you close when they see how powerful you are by yourself. When they see your greatness. Out of fear. Ive been loyal to those who haven't been to me and that ends now. Now im your threat. Anybody got a issue with my words im glad. If you feel me, dont be scared to use your voice. I was for so long out of blind loyalty. From here Ill let the music speak. As you were, peace and love to my supporters and true ones."

Video And Pics After The Jump

Imani Boyette, the 21-year old 2016 first round pick of the WNBA's Chicago Sky, has been on a campaign since May of this year to meet 50 Cent.

"For the next month or so I will outline my love and at least 50 reasons, should come to vs. NY ," she tweeted on May 10.

And true to her word, Boyette, kept the tweets coming.

She says the music icon has been her favorite since the first time she heard his classic debut album "Get Rich or Die Tryin."

12352356889?profile=original

Imani and Paul Boyette

When Imani married Paul Boyette on July 25, 2015, their first dance was to 50's song "Best Friend."

12352357893?profile=original

It wasn't long before Boyette's campaign started to get national media exposure.

“I have pretty much everything he’s ever made in my iPod," she told USA Today in June.

She said her teammates were not always the most supportive.

“They think I’m ridiculous. I just love 50 Cent," she explained.

Boyette wasn't sure if her idol would grant her request and said she would "probably cry" if he did.

Just when it looked like her efforts were going to be futile the "In Da Club" hit maker reached out to Boyette via his Instagram account in late June.

"Imani I'm coming to see you play soon as I can. I just have to check when your playing so I can fly in," he wrote."

Boyette was ecstatic, writing on Twitter: "YALL IM CRYING! #wnba20for50 is alive and well!! LOOK AT GOD! Won't he do it?!"

On Tuesday, September 13, 50 kept his promise by attending the Sky's game against the Minnesota Lynx at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

12352358295?profile=original

Boyette's team won in overtime by a score of 98 to 97. The 6' 7" center had a key block in the extra period.

After the game 50 gave Boyette a big hug.

"Man she blocked a shot in over time," 50 captioned a photo with Boyette on Instagram. "I said oh shit !!! Lmao."

Check out a few of the tweets following last night's game.

Dream big everyone!!

Video After The Jump

Desiigner, born Sidney Selby III, had it rough before the hit song "Panda" changed his life.

In this short short clip called "I Am Def Jam" the 19-year old Brooklyn, New York native reflects on getting shot, always having the desire to create art that would entertain people, making his parents proud and wanting to give back to the community by showing that there are positive ways to make it out of the hood.

"I was definitely around trouble with what I was doing before music," he says. "I was in the wrong places. I was in the wrong timing. I got hit, got shot. Until I just came down and was like, I can't sell no drugs. I sell music. Music definitely saved me."
