Ex-UFC star Ronda Rousey showed support for Simone Biles after the superstar gymnast dropped out of the Olympics women’s team final on Tuesday.
Rousey had a stern message for critics on Twitter and wrote whatever Biles is dealing with is an internal struggle.
"Everyone judging @Simone_Biles doesn’t know their foot from their a--hole when it comes to being in her position. She’s on the Olympic team while you’re on Twitter. Whatever is going on cannot be grasped from outside. She’s doing the absolute best she can given the situation she’s in," Rousey wrote.
While Rousey was a superstar in the MMA world, she represented the U.S. in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She won a bronze medal in judo.
The American star Biles shocked the world when she pulled out of the event after her vault. She later told reporters her mental health was not right.
"I have to do what’s right for me and focus on my mental health, and not jeopardize my health and well-being," the decorated athlete told reporters.
On Wednesday, Biles dropped out of the individual all-around contest.
"After further medical evaluation, Simone Biles was withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games, in order to focus on her mental health," USA Gymnastics said in a statement Wednesday. "Simone will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether or not to participate in next week’s individual event finals. Jade Carey, who had the ninth highest score in qualifications, will participate in her place in the all-around.
"We wholeheartedly support Simone’s decision and applaud her bravery in prioritizing her well-being. Her courage shows, yet again, why she is a role model for so many."
Individual apparatus contests begin Sunday. It’s unclear if Biles will compete.

DaBaby's controversial Rolling Loud performance continues to stir up trouble -- not just for him, but also for his surprise special guest ... Tory Lanez.
ICYMI, DaBaby went out of his way to do a big reveal of Lanez Saturday night during his set at the hip hop festival in Miami, but a lot of fans weren't happy about it ... because Megan Thee Stallion performed on the same stage right before the duo.
Tory's accused of shooting Megan in the foot last summer, and Rolling Loud sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... she and her team at the festival were very upset about him appearing on stage with DaBaby less than an hour after she finished her set.
That's because a judge issued a protective order following the alleged shooting incident, requiring Tory to stay at least 100 yards away from Megan ... and we're told she was still backstage when he took the stage with DaBaby.
Even worse, our sources say Megan's camp is miffed DaBaby performed one of her songs on which he's featured -- "Cash Sh**" -- right before bringing out Lanez. We're told those close to MTS feel this was a giant "f you" to her ... mocking her and the ongoing criminal case with Tory and, in a way, menacing her.
Our sources say after the elaborate reveal of Lanez went down -- and of course, after DaBaby also went on a homophobic rant during his set -- Miami PD were contacted about the possible violation of Megan's protective order ... and the L.A. County D.A.'s office was also informed.
A source close to Tory tells us he never saw Meg at the festival nor do they believe he ever got physically close to her.

(CNN) To prevent further spread of the Delta variant, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its mask guidance on Tuesday to recommend that fully vaccinated people wear masks indoors when in areas with "substantial" and "high" transmission of Covid-19, which includes nearly two-thirds of all US counties.
New unpublished data showing that vaccinated people infected with the Delta coronavirus variant can have as much virus as those who are unvaccinated is the primary driver for the CDC's latest mask guidance change, a source involved with the decision process told CNN. Overall, vaccinated people still play a small role in transmission and breakthrough infections are rare.
In addition, the source noted two other factors that led to this decision: the prevalence of the Delta variant and low vaccine uptake.
When the CDC previously revised its guidance on May 13 for vaccinated people to unmask, Delta only represented 1% of reported infections. Now, according to the CDC, it represents at least 83% of cases.
The source also noted that the country's overall level of vaccination is lower than what was initially expected and that most transmission is happening in areas with vaccination levels below 40% of the population.
"When you get information about risks and how to mitigate risks, there's a public health obligation to let people know about it," a senior administration official said. The White House is hoping that the new guidance will give local officials "a lot of cover" to implement new mask mandates where appropriate.
Meanwhile, the guidance for unvaccinated people remains the same: continue masking until they are fully vaccinated.

Simone Biles just gave a tearful explanation for her withdrawal from the U.S. gymnastics team finals at the Tokyo Olympics ... saying it was NOT injury related -- she's been struggling with mental health issues.
"Just my pride is hurt a little bit," Biles told reporters.
"After the performance that I did, I didn’t want to go into the other events so I thought I would take a step back," she added.
Biles says she's been seeing a therapist to help battle her "demons" ... and is going to use Wednesday as a "mental health day."
"I have to focus on my mental health and not jeopardize my health and well-being."
Team USA was still able to make the podium without Biles ... securing the silver medal, with the Russian Olympic Committee (AKA Russia) winning the gold.
Biles is keeping the door open on competing on Thursday.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. (Fox5 Atlanta) - The man accused of murdering eight people including six Asian women at massage parlors in metro Atlanta has pleaded guilty to charges of murder, aggravated assault, & more in a Cherokee County court Tuesday morning.
Standing in handcuffs in front of a Cherokee County judge, Robert Long said that he accepted a plea deal with prosecutors that would declare him guilty.
Long is accused of killing 49-year-old Xiaojie "Emily" Tan, 44-year-old Daoyou Feng, 33-year-old Delaina Ashley Yaun Gonzalez & 54-year-old Paul Michels at Youngs Asian Massage near Acworth on March 16. Long also shot & wounded a fifth person, investigators said.
Long was charged with four counts of malice murder, felony murder & 11 counts of aggravated assault. He also faces criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony & first-degree criminal damage to property.
While in the courtroom in front of survivors of the shooting, Long pleaded guilty to all 23 charges.
According to prosecutors, Long admitted to investigators that he was drunk & said he was planning to go to the massage parlor due to a sex addiction before shooting himself.
"My hope is that I would hate myself enough at that point & possess enough self-loathing to end my life," Long told the court.

ATLANTA (WSB-TV 2) — The Atlanta Police Department confirmed Monday that a sergeant in their department is on unpaid suspension after video posted to social media showed an appeared to show him kicking a woman in the head.
According to the Instagram post that accompanied the video that was posted on Monday, police were called out to an apartment complex in the Summerhill neighborhood for a domestic incident.
The video shows a woman on her stomach in handcuffs when a male officer then appears to kick her in the head.
“Upon reviewing the video, the actions of the sergeant appear to be unacceptable, and we are also concerned with the apparent lack of reaction from another officer present during the incident,” Atlanta police said in a statement.
Atlanta police said the two officers have been relieved from duty and the Sergeant has been placed on unpaid suspension.
APD said the incident is now being investigated by the department’s Office of Professional Standards.
“Chief Bryant will monitor the progress of this expedited investigation and review the findings to determine the proper course of action,” the department said.

With Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson back in the fold (for now) & the team trying to trade him but wanting way too much given his current circumstances, Watson’s lawyer has shared with ESPN some of the details about Watson’s current circumstances.
Attorney Rusty Hardin said that 10 women in all have filed criminal complaints against Watson. Two who have filed criminal complaints have not filed lawsuit against Watson. This increases the total number of women alleging that Watson committed misconduct to 24.
“We’re fully cooperating with the police,” Hardin said. “We’re fully cooperating with the District Attorney’s office & when the criminal investigation is over we’ll fully cooperate with the NFL.”
Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents the 22 women suing Watson, also provided a statement to ESPN on Monday.
“As of today, almost half of these women have given sworn statements to the police & almost half have spoken to the NFL’s investigative team,” Buzbee said. “Both processes are very lengthy. We expect to provide further information to the NFL from all victims.”
Hardin reiterated his longstanding position that any settlement could not include a confidentiality provision.
“I do not want anybody to be saying that this guy paid off women to stay quiet & so, if there ever was a settlement of any kind, it would have to be public & therefore both sides, [Watson] and the women, would be able to say to the world at large whatever they wanted,” Hardin said.
It’s hard not to think that Hardin’s candor is aimed at getting the Texans to drop their price (supposedly three first-round draft picks & then some) to reflect the various uncertainties regarding Watson’s status. He could still be placed on paid leave. He could still face criminal charges. He could still lose anywhere from one to 22 trials.
Indeed, Hardin made it clear that he believes teams are ready to do a deal, in light of all current circumstances.
“Teams are ready to jump now if the Texans would trade with them, even while all this is pending,” Hardin said. There’s no question that teams, numerous teams, are still interested. The ball is in the Texans court.”
The onus is on the Texans to drop their price. If they do, perhaps the Broncos or Eagles or Dolphins (or someone else) will bite.

R. Kelly's legal team is ripping prosecutors over the new allegations against him.
New allegations in his criminal case out of Chicago -- which is about to go to trial next month -- including claims that he sexually abused a male minor ... whom he's said to have met at a McDonald's.
Prosecutors in Kelly's federal sex trafficking case filed the bombshell Friday, seeking to enter new evidence they say supports their accusations of a slew of new crimes they insist Kelly committed ... including alleged abuse of a male under the age of 18 in the 2000s.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Kelly met a 17-year-old boy in 2006 at a McDonald's ... whom they say Kelly then invited to a party at his Chicago residence. The kid went with his parents, but the feds say Kelly told him to swing by next time by himself ... and, apparently, the 17-year-old did -- at which point, things allegedly turned sexual.
One of Kelly's attorneys, Nicole Blank Becker, tells TMZ ... "This is nothing more than a veiled effort to pile on to further shape the public's perception in this case ignoring that Mr. Kelly is presumed innocent until proven otherwise."
Kelly's defense tells us it will "vigorously oppose" the prosecution's request to enter new evidence, adding ... "As the trial nears were are looking forward to the truth prevailing."
