Gwinnett County Solicitor General Brian Whiteside's office announced a music producer was arrested in Gwinnett County on Thursday on a probation violation charge.

The solicitor's office said Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Lou Solis had deputies arrest Tyree Pittman, 26, who goes by the name Young Chop. Officials said Pittman allegedly violated probation on a misdemeanor animal neglect charge. Pittman is a Chicago native, but jail records list him as living in Peachtree Corners.

It was not fully clear what the probation violation entailed, but Whiteside's office said Pittman has also been recently accused of allegedly firing a handgun in a street in front of his residence, starving a dog to death, driving without a license or insurance and having an expired tag.

Gwinnett County jail records show Pittman was arrested on an aggravated cruelty to animals-death charge on Feb. 26. He was also arrested April 7 on charges of reckless conduct, driving without a valid license and expired tag/registration.

Back in October 2019, The Game was ordered to pay $7.1 million in damages to a reality dating show contestant after a jury in 2016 found him liable for sexual battery in connection with an off-camera date.

The 40-year old rapper, born Jayceon Taylor, starred on VH1's Bachelor-esque series "She's Got Game." While filming in Chicago in 2015, Taylor took Priscilla Rainey on a date to a sports bar. It wasn't filmed, and she says he sexually assaulted her by repeatedly lifting her skirt and groping her while others in the bar watched.

AllHipHop now reports that a judge has seized The Game's record label, LA Prolific, plus his last album "Born 2 Rap" and awarded "any and all rights, title, and interest" in them to Rainey.

According to the report, all future money the label is due to receive, royalties from "Born 2 Rap" and any salary Game may have been paying himself through LA Prolific, will now go directly to Rainey until the debt is paid in full.

"All third parties who receive notice of this Order are directed to pay any and all money or property due, or to become due, under this Order, directly to Plaintiff either: (1) by check payable to “Priscilla Rainey,” and delivered to Plaintiff’s counsel" until the judgment is satisfied in full," Judge Virginia A. Phillips stated.

Video After The Jump

Dr Phil wants the country reopened, arguing the shut down is doing more damage than coronavirus itself.

The TV star made an appearance on Fox on Thursday night, arguing that the US doesn't close for automobile, smoking or swimming pool deaths.

"Look, the fact of the matter is, we have have people dying... 45,000 people a year die from automobile accidents, 480,000 from cigarettes, 360,000 a year from swimming pools, but we don't shut the country down for that," he told Laura Ingraham. "But yet we're doing it for this? And the fallout is going to last for years because people's lives are being destroyed."

Twitter was quick to challenge his argument, with many people pointing out out that none of those things are contagious.

Many more pointed out that McGraw's figures were way off; less than 3,900 people accidentally drown in the US every year according to the CDC -- and that includes all bodies of water, not just swimming pools.

More still highlighted the fact he was comparing annual average fatalities to a brand new virus that has been killing Americans for only one and a half months, and nobody has any idea what the final death toll will be.

And of course there were those who pointed out that Dr Phil is not a medical doctor (so much so that "Mr Phil" started trending); while he has a doctorate in clinical psychology, he is not licensed to practice.

Nevertheless, it was Dr Phil's prognosis that depression and loneliness caused by the shut down would ultimately kill more than COVID-19.

"This is invisible. I can't show you an X-ray of depression, I can't show you an X-ray of anxiety, but the fact of the matter is, the longer this lockdown goes on, the more vulnerable people get," he said.

"And it's like there's a tipping point. There's a point at which people start having enough problems in lockdown that it will actually create more destruction and actually more deaths across time than the actual virus will itself."

His comments came hot on the heels of fellow TV doctor, Dr OZ, who told another Fox host, Sean Hannity, that a 2-3 percent fatality rate caused by reopening the schools might be an acceptable "tradeoff".

"I tell ya, schools are a very appetizing opportunity," he said. "I just saw a nice piece in The Lancet arguing the opening of schools may only cost us 2 to 3 per cent in terms of total mortality."

"Any life is a life lost, but to get every child back into a school where they're safely being educated, being fed and making the most out of their lives with a theoretical risk on the backside, that might be a tradeoff some folks would consider."

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police said a man is claiming self-defense after shooting three teens while riding on a SEPTA bus in Northeast Philadelphia Thursday.

Investigators said the three teenagers were in a physical altercation with the shooter while riding on the Route 58 SEPTA bus around 1 a.m.

The bus came to a stop on Bustleton Avenue at St. Vincent Street, which isn't far from Roosevelt Mall.

Police are still working to determine what led to the altercation and shooting. Investigators said the three teens approached a 24-year-old man who was sitting in the back of the bus. For some reason, they got into a physical altercation, and during that time police said the man ended up shooting each of the teens.

Officers transported a 16-year-old who was shot to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He was listed in stable condition.

Officers placed a tourniquet on a 17-year-old boy who was shot and transported him to Albert Einstein Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his right knee. He is listed in stable condition.

A 15-year-old boy was transported by officers to Einstein Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his right thigh and one to his right buttocks. He is listed in stable condition.

Police said the 24-year-old shooter was transported to the Northeast Detective Division for further investigation. A weapon was recovered. Investigators also said the man had a concealed carry permit and showed officers those credentials.

Officers said they found three spent shell casings on the bus.

"There were about three other people on the bus at the time who were not involved. Those three individuals were transported to Northeast Detectives as witnesses. The 35-year-old bus driver was not injured and not involved. He was driving the bus when it happened," according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

SEPTA officials are still implementing measures of social distancing by asking everyone to only ride if it's absolutely necessary during the coronavirus outbreak.

Limited services are still in place allowing essential workers to get around. Investigators are still trying to determine what led up to the confrontation.

R. Kelly's first attempt to get out of jail due to coronavirus fears didn't work, but he's going back to the well -- claiming his medical crisis is even worse now, and insisting he won't skip town.

The disgraced singer filed a renewed emergency motion obtained by TMZ asking to get released from lockup based on changed circumstances.

Kelly and his legal team say when he last asked to get out, the court noted there were no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the Chicago jail where he's currently locked up. According to the docs ... that is no longer the case.

Kelly says the Chicago MCC admits there are at least 6 confirmed positive cases now among inmates -- along with 7 staff members -- and argues it's predictably going to get worse. He claims if he doesn't get out soon, it's an "absolute probability" he "will be infected with this deadly disease."

As we reported ... the judge denied his first release request earlier this month, saying the singer failed to explain how he wasn't still a flight risk.

Kelly's got a retort for that now, too -- he claims if he tried to run he would be "the most obvious and recognizable person on the streets of Chicago, or anywhere else in the country, in light of the severe stay-at-home restrictions."

Further, Kelly says there are no flights for him, he's afraid to fly, and he doesn't have a passport or the means to fly.

According to the docs ... he'd also agree to 24/7 surveillance and GPS monitoring to make sure he doesn't go anywhere other than home or meet with anyone other than his lawyers.

Prosecutors just filed their response to R. Kelly ... saying the singer definitely has the means to escape the country ... and has already made more than $200,000 in royalties just this year.

The judge has yet to make a decision.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBS12) — Jamell Demons, also known as rapper YNW Melly, is requesting to be released from the Broward County Jail for medical reasons after testing positive for coronavirus.

The 20-year-old Vero Beach native is accused of killing two of his longtime friends, 21-year-old Anthony Williams and 19-year-old Christopher Thomas Jr., in Miramar in 2018. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty if he's found guilty.

But John M. Phillips, the lawyer representing the family of Thomas Jr., is saying the family doesn't want YNW Melly to be released.

"It is preposterous they seek to release him to a 'fan' and that defense counsel put that fan’s name, address, phone number and information in the public domain," he said. "We again ask the public to be sensitive of the victims here. They lost children."

That fan, who CBS12 News is not identifying, already agreed to house Cortlen Henry, who was arrested in January 2019 in connection to the killings, according to a motion filed by Phillips on Thursday. After shooting his friends, authorities say Demons and Henry drove them to the hospital and staged their Jeep to make it look like they got caught in a drive-by shooting. However, investigators said the evidence did not match up with Demons' story.

That fan's address and phone number is publicly accessible, which jeopardizes Henry's "safety and security," according to the motion. It also appears the fan has a school aged daughter, based on his social media, which should "disqualify him from housing someone charged with murder."

Phillips also says Thomas Jr.'s family will be pursuing all of the rights under Marsy's Law, which was passed in November 2018.

"We will seek to attend and be heard at depositions, advocate for victims at each step and make sure justice is fair, firm and full," Phillips said.
