As he takes a toke from his bowl and gears up for another session of music making, this is the daily ritual for 24 year old indie musical sensation Zach "Twitty" Savitch. The Leader of The "815 Ocho Pirate Gang" Movement, hailing from Lasalle-Peru, Illinois, is a marvel of seamless genre melding harmonious hits. His approach to making a song is very indicative of today's more "Feelings" based music. Being an hour out from Chicago he got a close look into the early stages of the growing drill scene and though he liked the sound he decided to go his own way. He has gone on record to say that he wants to make "Happy Trap", a sound all his own; And with amazing tracks like his debut Hit Single, "Vlone", or the drip heavy, "Water Walk", or even the lost love-inspired "cold ramen" you can truly hear The pride, love and freedom in his music. Twitty though unsigned has gained a co-sign and management by D.C. based major indie talent manager/agent, Dashaun "Fat Jefe" Lipscomb and their union seems to have nothing but postive effects on Twitty's quickly Blossoming Career. With over 3k Monthly Listeners gained on Spotify within one week of the the official release of "Vlone", Placement on high profile spotify playlists, (multiple "The Candy Network" playlists, 'Henny N' Coke", Among Other) and many Top Music Blogs and Instagram Influencers singing his praises It's Looking To be An Amazing year for the young Musician. "The Places I Go In My Mind Are More Beautiful Than Any Reality", These words were spoken by Twitty and it begs The question, Are you ready to see the beauty in his mind? Keep your eyes and ears open. Because Twitty has alot more coming in 2019!

Mellow Man Ace left the band a short time later to pursue a solo career and the group changed its name to Cypress Hill, after a street in South Gate. Drummer Eric "Bobo" Correa joined in 1993 and continues to be a member.
Cypress Hill's self-titled first album was released in August 1991 and sold more than 2 million copies. Its second album, "Black Sunday," released in 1993, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and earned a triple-platinum certification after selling more than 3 million copies.

Report via TMZ -- Nipsey Hussle's friend who was shot during the fatal attack is about to get sprung from jail.
As we first reported ... Kerry Lathan -- a 56-year-old man who was shot in the back when Nipsey was killed outside his The Marathon clothing store -- was arrested days after because one of his parole conditions is not associating with known gang members. You'll recall cops said Nipsey was a member of the Rollin 60s Crips.
Lathan was transferred to Men's Central Jail in downtown L.A. but a rep with L.A. Superior Court tells us the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation withdrew its petition to revoke his parole.
It's unclear why the Corrections Department is making this move but as you know ... Nipsey's been celebrated as a hero in his community by everyone from L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti to President Obama.
In fact, Nipsey was supposed to meet with city officials the day after he was brutally gunned down ... to hold a gang violence summit with LAPD.
Lathan could reportedly be a free man again by Thursday afternoon.
The Florida rapper posted a $20K cash bond following his arrest on the U.S.-Canada border Wednesday, April 17.

Eboni K Williams, who used to be a co-host on Fox News, explains her experiences working at the conservative news network. Williams also talked about her times as a lawyer in the court room and how it relates to working in media now.
1. Where are we talking from today? A. I am from Chicago originally but Florida currently has my heart. 2. Where did you get your artist name from? A. Well, I went through maybe 3-4 name ideas but I ultimately went with the name I was born with, Dahshanae. It felt the most right and really further pushed the motive of truly showing my audience who I am. 3. Music wise what are you working on right now? Are you currently promoting a single or album? A. I just finished working on my first mixtape, "Relapse" and it is truly my most personal project yet. "Relapse" will be available on all platforms June 17th and the first single and visual from the project, "R.I.A" will be out April 19th followed by a few more really amazing releases so I'm very excited about it. I found my sound while writing this project. I learned so much about myself and what is and isn't love through this project. More importantly, I learned how to accept my flaws and to take everything that I've learned to make better decisions in life and hopefully be a beacon for others that hear this project and relate to it in some way to help them understand that repeated behavior will have the repeated results. 4. Who or what were the most significant influences on your musical life and career? A. I would say who inspired me most was definitely Janet Jackson and Beyoncé. I was literally 4 years old staring at my TV studying Janet Jackson's music video choreography until I had it completely down packed. Same with Beyoncé as I got older. I've just always been obsessed with their confidence, their creativity, their drive. Everything they did was completely genius and legendary and I think myself as well as many girls growing up saw that as an example of true brilliance. When I got more so into my teens, I got into Erykah Badu and fell in love with her voice and her vision. I would say I definitely look up to so many strong women that inspire me to be the artist that I am today. 5. Who are your favorite musicians? A. I love so many artists and I'm always finding new ones to add to the already long list of my favs but off the top of my head, I'd say Jessie Reyez, Mickey Shiloh, Chloe X Halle, Jhene Aiko, Erykah Badu, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande.
6. What have been the greatest challenges/frustrations of your career so far? A. My greatest challenges have definitely been feeling unsure of myself and allowing others to make me feel unsure of myself when I am confident in something. I'm a Libra so I'm already very indecisive by nature so getting to a point where I'm completely happy with something can be a long process and can become an even longer process when I have other people in my ear telling me they don't like something I do and that I should do this instead than someone coming behind them and saying they don't like that. I kind of had to come to the realization that not everyone is going to like everything I do and no matter how hard I try, you simply can not please everyone. I had to give myself a mini pep one day and tell myself that I got this and to just go with my gut and that has definitely helped me overcome some of my self-doubts. 7. As a musician, what is your definition of success? A. Being a musician, many people would say success is selling out shows, getting a #1 on Billboard, and having millions of dollars. Don't get more wrong, I think those things can play a factor in the look of success but I'm more worried about the feel of success. Being able to connect with your audience through your music is huge to me because there are so many people around the world going through things and always have that feeling that it's just them feeling crappy or low key weird or whatever is it. With my music I want my audience to see that they are not alone so people messaging me or coming to my shows saying that one of my songs made them feel better about their situation or made them feel empowered then that means true success to me. 8. What is your idea of perfect happiness? A. My idea of perfect happiness is being able to create art. Rather it's music, visuals, performances, paintings, etc. As long as I'm creating freely and being able to fully express myself through my art, that is the definition of a happy Dahshanae. Well...that and food. 9. What is your present state of mind? A. My present state of mind is solely on making my mark. I remember seeing something Left Eye from TLC said in an interview and it really stuck with me. She said that if you can see something you want in your head clear as day, then it is possible. When you believe in it, It starts manifesting into reality. For me, always believing in myself and keeping the doubters far away from my creative thought process and execution is key. 10. What is your most treasured possession? A. My most treasured possession is hands down my laptop. I feel like my entire life is on it so I'm super protective over it. You can take away my entire studio but as long as I got my laptop, I'm good. 11. What do you enjoy doing most? A. I enjoy being in my studio from sun up to sun down just writing. For my "Relapse" project, in particular, I really freestyle many of the songs and now it is probably one of my favorite ways to create. You never really know what you're going say so sometimes the melody is everything but I have to go in a switch a few words around and sometimes the melody and the lyrics just fit so perfectly that I leave it alone so it's a pretty interesting process for me. 12. Where would you like to be in 10 years’ time? A. In 10 years, my only real goal is to be happy and to continue to make music that makes people feel human and inspire them to be unapologetic. 13. Where you @ online? A. You can find me on all social media platforms @IamDahshanae
(MMA Junkie) -- Former UFC strawweight fighter Angela Magana is on the road to recovery after being in a coma for two days, her coach, Gabriel Lamastus, told MMA Junkie on Thursday.
“Angela is responding to the treatment and is waking up!!!,” Lamastus said in a text message. “We are over joyed (sic). She has been in and out of it.”
He added, “This started happening this morning.” Lamastus said Magana has been able to talk, as well.
The significant progress in Magana’s condition comes two days after she fell into a coma following complications from anesthesia during emergency surgery at University Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Magana had been dealing with back pain as she prepared for an upcoming Combate Americas fight. An MRI revealed Magana had a herniated disc, but she continued to train for roughly a week while on medication until the pain became too much.
Monday, Magana had a nerve block done, but Lamastus said she didn’t respond well, leading to a diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome and the need for emergency surgery Tuesday. Magana didn’t wake up after surgery until Thursday morning.
Magana, who was released from the UFC in January 2018, had been scheduled to meet Kyra Batara at “Combate 35: Reinas” on April 26 in Los Angeles.
Report via TMZ -- Rapper G Herbo is facing a battery charge after an argument with his baby mama, Ariana Fletcher, allegedly turned physical ... TMZ has learned.
According to Atlanta Police ... the rapper and Ari got into it Wednesday morning -- mostly yelling at each other -- but at some point, cops say Herbo assaulted her. Cops say he then left the location with their son but later returned ... and after officers spoke to him, they arrested him for simple battery.
Cops say Ariana sustained minor scratches during the altercation, and right now it's unclear what triggered the alleged assault. Cops are continuing their investigation.
Perhaps complicating matters for G Herbo is the fact Ari is now dating boxer Gervonta Davis ... and is actually about 14 weeks pregnant with his child.
What's interesting is Ari and Gervonta were out partying Tuesday night at Allure Gentlemen's Club where G Herbo also happened to be. The trio was NOT there together. It's unclear if any encounter there might have led to the alleged assault the next morning.
Herbo is still in jail. His bond has been set at $2,000.
Report via NBC News -- Rapper Kodak Black and three others were arrested after they allegedly tried crossing the U.S.-Canada border near Buffalo with guns and marijuana, officials said Thursday.
The artist — born Bill Kapri — was a no-show for concerts in Boston on Wednesday night, after he was stopped at the Lewiston-Queenston International Bridge hours earlier, authorities said.
Kodak, 21, and Jeantony Saintmelus, 22, were booked on suspicion of criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana, state police said. Stetson J. President, 24, and Madarrow D. Smith, 20, were booked for alleged criminal possession of a weapon.
“During the initial inspection, the U.S. citizens admitted to being in possession of marijuana and firearms,” according to a statement by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. “During a secondary inspection, it was revealed that the weapons were possessed unlawfully in New York State and subsequently the marijuana, firearms and subjects were turned over to the New York State Police for further processing.”
Kodak was behind the wheel of a Cadillac Escalade, with a temporary California registration, when he was stopped. The gun in the Cadillac was a Glock 9mm pistol, state police said.
Saintmelus was driving a Porche, alongside Kodak’s Escalade, and there were three guns and marijuana found inside that car, police said.
The arrests caused Kodak to miss shows at the House of Blues in Boston on Wednesday night.

Raised in “The Bottom” of South Baton Rouge, La., Jody Brown, artistically known as “JB”, lived a simple life, but not without a struggle. With his father in and out of prison, Jody’s mother worked two jobs to provide for him and his two siblings. Jody became actively involved in drama and music at an early age, directing and singing in his school and church choirs and participating in local talent shows. As a teenager, barely graduating from high school, he felt as if his only two choices were to sell drugs or join the military. He opted for the latter. As a military veteran, singer and songwriter Jody Brown has developed a universal sound that is relatable to everyday life and relationships. His interaction and connection with people across the globe have afforded him the skill to create music without bias or prejudice. JB’s real-life perspective and transparency in his lyrics sets him apart from the current trend saturating today’s airwaves. Recently releasing the video “Fell Out of Love (F.O.O.L.)”, the first single from his upcoming project The Best Kept Secret II - Lover’s Edition set to drop in February 2018, has garnered a great response at nearly 10K views in the first three weeks. The visual illustrates the crossroads of trust and communication, and also the importance of privacy within a relationship. Collaborating with recording artists such as Lawrence A, Vocal, Trez Falsetto, Mally Music, DS Will, Raven, Maestra, Tish Martin, and Sa’Mone, The Best Kept Secret II - Lover’s Edition is sure to bring back the importance of love and honesty to R&B music. Suitable for any man or woman that is making an effort to conduct themselves accordingly in a healthy relationship, it is certain to be a blueprint for constructing and, in some cases, reconstructing a solid foundation.
