XXL has rolled out it's 2013 Freshman Class. Their choices will be heavily scrutinzed by hip hop fans. Some choices will be universally praised, while others will be questioned.

Two Black Hippy members (Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q) made the list. And Chief Keef was chosen as the 11th Freshman in a class that usually only has 10.

Kid Cudi is already out promoting his upcoming album, Indicud. Yesterday the G.O.O.D. Music artist made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform the songs "Immortal," "Just what I Am" and an a cappela version of "Mad Solar."

50 Cent and French Montana have put aside their brief conflict according to French. In a new interview with DJ Whoo Kid, French said that he and 50 have actually been making music together.

"Everything's straight, we been making music," French said of his situation with G-Unit's CEO. "It's good for hip hop."

No word on what project their collaboration will surface on at this point, but we'll keep you updated.

Is Brick Squad crumbling right before our eyes?

Less than two weeks ago Gucci Mane announced via Twitter that he was dropping Waka Flocka Flame from his 1017 Brick Squad roster, and put his services up for sale.

Waka didn't wait long to respond.

The following day there were reports that Gucci had been hacked. All appeared to be back to normal until last night's Dipset reunion show where Waka made an appearance.

While performing the song "848" Waka changed the lyrics from "free my brother Gucci and my n*gga Boosie" to “f*ck that n*gga Gucci/free my nigga Boosie.”

A Gucci response may or may not be coming. He's currently wanted by the Atlanta Police Department for allegedly hitting a soldier over the head with a champagne bottle at a local club.

New York Giants player Shaun Rogers learned a hard lesson about picking up strangers and taking them home for the night.

The 34-year old defensive end was partying at Miami Beach's Club Liv inside the Fontainebleau Hotel Monday when he and a group of friends met a woman. Rogers took the female back to his room at the Fontainebleau around 7 in the morning. He told police he put his jewelry in the hotel safe and continued to party with the woman until he fell asleep.

When he woke up around noon, the woman was gone and he couldn't get into the room's safe.

Hotel security was able to pry open the safe, only to discover all of the jewelry was missing.

Among the items Rogers said were stolen were: diamond earrings worth $100,000; two wristwatches worth a combined $160,000; a gold necklace with gold pendant worth $50,000; gold bracelets worth $60,000; and a diamond Cuban necklace with a gold pendant worth $70,000 according to CBS Miami.

Miami Beach Police are now looking for the woman.

There was never any doubt that Justin Timberlake's first album since 2006 would sell well. But with record sales trending downward it was hard to predict first week numbers.

The final numbers are in and according to HDD, Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience has sold 980,622 copies in it's 1st week to easily claim the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

That number not only beats all previous projections, but the disc even surpassed his 2006 album FutureSex/LoveSounds'' opening week sales by nearly 300,000 copies. FutureSex/LoveSounds went on to sell over 10 million copies worldwide which bodes well for The 20/20 Experience.

The closest competitor to the monster sales from JT this week is Kacey Musgraves' Same Trailer, Different Park, which sold 42,125 copies.

Eleven years after the release of her last album, Eve is stepping back into the game. Lip Lock will arrive in stores on May 14th. The Philly rapper don't expect her to try and reinvent herself on the album.

"I don't want people to take [Lip Lock] too seriously," she told Billboard recently. "I'm not trying to relive any moments of my life. I'm in a new place in my life. I'm almost a new artist. It's a fun record."

Chris Brown is working on his sixth studio album. The young singer has titled it X. In a new interview with Ryan Seacrest he explained why he chose that title.

"I'll be 24 when the album comes out. X is the 24th letter in the alphabet. X also means the roman numeral for 10. I've been doing this for 10 years now. My birthday is 5-5-89. 5 and 5 is 10. 8, 9, 10," Chris explained.

The first single, "Fine China," will be released on April 1st.

Jennifer Lopez recently tweeted a pic of her in the studio with Chris. Breezy confirmed that he's writing material for her new album and hopes to have her on his.

Chris speaks on lessons learned from assaulting Rihanna in 2009 and growing from it. He's very grateful that she forgave him. He also elaborates on the video of him arguing with the valet attendant and talks about social media being both a blessing and a curse.
