Birdman and Slim are having to deal with yet another lawsuit involving non payment of royalties. This one involves music giant EMI.
EMI alleges they are owed nearly $500,000 from the label that is home to Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake. This lawsuit stems from a previous one in 2009, when EMI sued Cash Money for copyright infringement. The suit was settled and a payment plan was put in place to compensate EMI for songs that Cash Money Records' artists illegally sampled.
EMI is now suing again, alleging the payments from Cash Money have stopped according to Courthouse News.
"Because Defendant has ignored numerous communications from EMI regarding Defendant's contractual obligations, EMI once more is being forced to commence a lawsuit against Defendant to recover royalty payments," the complaint states. According to the parties' agreement, EMI is entitled to a multiplier penalty of 1.25, which means Cash Money owes more than $491,000 in damages. "The sales of Defendant's products have far exceeded the payments that EMI has received," the complaint states. "Once EMI realized that Defendant owed more money under the Second Payment it notified Defendant and explained that due to the increased sales, EMI was entitled to additional compensation."
"It is clear from Defendant's conduct that it has no intention of honoring the Agreement."
EMI is represented by Richard Roth of New York City.

It looks like all of the rumors can be put to bed now. Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon are officially engaged according to US Weekly.
19-year old Bobbi is the only child of Bobby Brown and late singer Whitney Houston, and who died suddenly on February 11 at the age of 48. Gordon, now 22-years old, was practically raised by Houston from the time he was 12-years although he was never formerly adopted.
The couple is reportedly living together in one of Houston's Atlanta homes. Bobbi is using one of her deceased mom's diamond rings as an engagement ring to Nick.
"The situation is beyond sad," a source told US Weekly. "Whitney never formally adopted Nick, but he lived with her and Bobbi Kristina from the age of twelve and they were raised like brother and sister. Nick came from a really bad background. Bobbi Kristina is still so vulnerable since her mother passed away. But Nick has become like her rock."
Bobby Brown and Whitney's mother, Cissy Houston, are "upset" and "worried" about the romance.
This situation gets a little more strange every day.

A co-founder for Invisible Children was detained in Pacific Beach on Thursday for being drunk in public and masturbating, according to the San Diego Police Department. Jason Russell, 33, was allegedly found masturbating in public, vandalizing cars and possibly under the influence of something, according to the SDPD. He was detained at the intersection of Ingraham Street and Riviera Road.
An SDPD spokesperson said the man detained was acting very strange, some may say bizarre.
"Due to the nature of the detention, he was not arrested," Lt. Andra Brown said. "During the evaluation we learned we probably needed to take him to a medical facility because of statements he was saying."
Police said they received several calls Thursday at 11:30 a.m. of a man in various stages of undress, running through traffic and screaming.
Police described Russell as "in his underwear." He allegedly took off his underwear at one point, but it was back on by the time officers arrived, said police.
Several people attempted to calm him down and when officers arrived police said he was cooperative.
"He was no problem for the police department however, during the evaluation we learned that we probably needed to take care of him," said an SDPD spokesperson. "We determined that medical treatment was a better course of action than arrest."
Russell was taken to a medical center after the incident.
Police could not determine that he formed a criminal intent. There are no criminal charges pending because it looks like this is more of a medical situation, said an SDPD spokesperson.
Invisible Children's CEO Ben Keesey released a statement after 1:40 p.m. on Friday saying:
“Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition. He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday. Jason’s passion and his work have done so much to help so many, and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue. We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time.”
Russell is one of the the founders responsible for the "Kony 2012" video that recently went viral. He is described on the organization's website as a co-founder and "our grand storyteller and dreamer." Russell is also described as a Christian and father to two children who wants to have nine more children with his wife he calls his "best friend for over 23 years."
The video "Kony 2012" calls for the capture of the Ugandan LRA leader whose fighting tactic involves kidnapping and torturing the country's innocent children. Russell spoke with NBCSanDiego explaining how the movement was exploding at the organization's headquarters in San Diego.
"There are hundreds and thousands of propaganda - posters, stickers, buttons, t-shirts, that we are putting in boxes and are shipping all over the world," Russell said in a March 8 interview.
At the Invisible Children headquarters in San Diego, volunteers and employees have been told not to comment. Workers removed a "Kony 2012" sign in the lobby and a security guard is at the entrance of the check-in area.
SDPD Lt. Andra Brown discusses the incident in Pacific Beach March 15, 2012. The man involved in the incident was San Diego-based Invisible Children co-founder Jason Russell.

Danny Brown may be a 2012 XXL Freshman, but that doesn't mean fans will always dig his music or any artists' for that matter. In fact, some concert goers just get brave and stupid after a couple of drinks, which might be what happened when Brown was hit with a lemon thrown from the crowd during his performance at South By Southwest in Austin this week.
Luckily the Detroit MC has a sense of humor and took it all in stride.
"Yeah, that was pretty cool though, I'm going to make some drinks out of that tonight," he joked with Fuse after the show. "That was the first time someone's thrown something at me on stage. That's kind of cool. I don't trip on that, I've done sh*t like that before, that's cool."
A$AP Rocky's debut album is highly anticipated. Lots of rumors have been floating around about it's title and release date. Fuse TV caught up with the Harlem rapper and got the real deal.
"The name of my album is 'Long Live A$AP," he revealed. "My album comes out in July."
Another rumor A$AP cleared up had to do with the 2012 XXL Freshman Class cover. He clarified that he made the list, but wasn't on the cover because his schedule didn't permit him the time to shoot it. Without naming names he also trashed the list.
"Personally I'mma speak my mind. I think a lot of the motherf*ckers on the list is corny as f*ck," A$AP said. "But shout outs to Danny Brown. I think a few people on there are eligible for it."
Let's take a look at that list one more time:
Machine Gun Kelly, Danny Brown, Kid Ink, Future, Roscoe Dash, Hopsin, Macklemore, French Montana, Iggy Azalea and Don Trip.
After scratching off Danny Brown that leaves us with 9 possible targets. Who do you think A$AP is firing shots at?
Rihanna has been a mainstay in the music business since 2005. With six successful albums under her belt the beauty from Barbados is looking for new worlds to conquer.
She recently got her first acting gig in the upcoming movie Battleship, now she looks to pad her resume' even more by launching her own fashion line.
"I'm really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I wanna design. I'm working with designers that I respect," Riri said recently. "I want people to trust me before I say, 'Buy it because it's mine.'"
How do you think Rihanna's fashion line will fare?
Machine Gun Kelly made sure his appearance at the 2012 mtvU Woodie Awards Festival in Austin, Texas was a memorable one. The Cleveland rager rocked the crowd with a variety of hits that included "Wild Boy" and "Invincible."
