Video After The Jump

Bobby Brown is reportedly taking the loss of his ex wife, Whitney Houston, very hard. The singer was married to Houston for 15 years. Some have blamed their often tumultuous relationship as the beginning of Houston's downward spiral into drugs and alcohol.

“When you love, you love. I mean, do you stop loving somebody because you have different images? You know, Bobby and I basically come from the same place,” Houston told Rolling Stone in 1993. “I am not always in a sequined gown. I am nobody’s angel. I can get down and dirty. I can get raunchy."

Brown has reportedly been having crying fits since learning of Houston's death according to TMZ.  At a concert last night (February 11) in Southaven, Missippi with New Edition he declared his love for her.

"First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all," he told fans at the venue in northern Mississippi. "Second, I would like to say, 'I love you, Whitney.' The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage."

Brown also released a statement today via People.com.

"I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston," read the statement. "At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time."

Check out the concert footage below.

Videos After The Jump

(CNN) -- The sudden death of singer Whitney Houston at age 48 shocked fans and musicians all over the world. The outpouring of grief was immediate, with one common refrain: The world had lost one of its greatest singers.
Nearly all of the trends on Twitter worldwide were shortly associated with the singer's death: R.I.P Whitney Houston, #DearWhitney, #IWillAlwaysLoveYou, The Bodyguard, Bobby Brown and Wanna Dance With Somebody.
"The first full hour after the news broke saw 2,481,652 tweets and retweets, peaking at 61,227 tweets at 5:23 p.m. (all times are PST)," according to Topsy.com, which indexes and ranks results based on the most influential conversations on social media.
"That is over a thousand tweets a second, not quite as much as during the Superbowl but still a lot."

Russell Simmons:

"My thoughts and prayers are with her beautiful child and her entire family. This is a tough time for the entire music community, as we all loved Whitney. May she rest in peace and may we all dance with somebody tonight."
