Report via New York Post -- YNW Melly’s legal problems have somehow gotten worse.

Already a suspect in the murder of two of his friends, the Florida rapper has now allegedly been connected to the killing of a sheriff’s deputy, according to VeroNews.com.

The website reports Indian River County Sheriff’s detectives want to question the 19-year-old, whose real name is Jamell Demons, and his friend YNW Bortlen, whose real name is Cortlen Henry, about the 2017 shooting of deputy Garry Chambliss.

Sources tell the website that the two rappers are believed to be part of a group of people firing gunshots when Chambliss was struck by a stray bullet. Detectives reportedly believe that one of the two fired the fatal shot.

“After that shooting in Miramar, our detectives will be following up for possible information in connection to the Garry Chambliss homicide,” Captain Tony Consalo told the website. “Perhaps, given their current situation, they might be able to shed some light on the case.”

Earlier this month, Demons was arrested for allegedly killing two of his friends, Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr., in late October and trying to cover up the crime by making it look like a drive-by shooting.

“A couple of months ago, I lost my two brothers by violence and now the system wants to find justice,” the rapper, who has worked with Kanye West, wrote on Instagram before surrendering to police. “Unfortunately, a lot of rumors and lies are being said. But no worries, God is with me.”

Henry is accused of helping Demons to stage the crime scene.

Report via TMZ -- R. Kelly has been charged with 10 counts by the Cook County State's Attorney.

Prosecutors hit him with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse Friday morning. TMZ has learned 9 of the 10 counts involve alleged victims ranging in age from 13 to 16 years old. One of them is the subject of 4 different counts. There are a total of 4 alleged victims.

According to the complaint, the allegations include oral and vaginal sex with a girl between the ages of 13 and 17. The complaint says he "transmitted his semen onto [the alleged victim's] body for the purpose of Robert Kelly's or [the alleged victim's] sexual gratification or arousal, by the use of force or threat of force."

Sources connected to Kelly tell TMZ the singer plans to voluntarily turn himself in to authorities tonight. Still, prosecutors will reportedly appear before a judge today seeking an arrest warrant for him.

The criminal sexual abuse charge is a class 2 felony in Illinois, and each charge carries a max sentence of 3 to 7 years in prison.

A grand jury had convened about a week ago to investigate the alleged sex tape that Michael Avenatti handed over to authorities. TMZ broke the story ... 2 women testified for the grand jury over the last week, including one who provided physical evidence. We're told as many as a dozen women came forward to testify.

Sources connected to the case tell us the tape was a pivotal force leading to the charges. We're told that Avenatti and his client spent a significant amount of time with the Cook County State's Attorney and the grand jury in the last few weeks.

As we reported, Avenatti says he uncovered the VHS tape during a months-long investigation into allegations his clients made about Kelly having sex with minors. The tape reportedly shows Kelly having sex with a girl who seems to be 14 -- with both Kelly and the girl referring to her genitals and other body parts as being 14 years old.

The charges come directly on the heels of 2 other Kelly accusers coming forward with their attorney Gloria Allred. The women allege sexual misconduct by Kelly in a Baltimore hotel room in 1998 ... when they were both underage teens.

It's still unclear when the new alleged sex tape was shot, but Avenatti said he was sure it fell within the statute of limitations.

The family of Joycelyn Savage, one of Kelly's current girlfriends featured in "Surviving R. Kelly," is anxious to be reunited with her. Their attorney, Gerald Griggs, tells us they are waiting for him to be arrested so they can attempt to make contact with Joycelyn.

Video After The Jump

JUPITER, Florida (CBS Boston) – Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, will be charged in a prostitution bust in Jupiter, Florida. Kraft, who denies doing anything illegal, was allegedly caught in the act on video, according to police.

The stunning announcement came late Friday morning at a police news conference.

Police said Kraft was involved in two incidents in the last month at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter and there is video evidence of both showing the Patriots owner in the act. Kraft is one of 25 people who will be charged by Jupiter Police in this specific bust.

“It appears when you go to the spa for a half hour the fee would be $59, for an hour that would be $79,” the lead detective on the case, Andrew Sharp, said at the news conference. He could not say how long Kraft was allegedly there or what he paid. Kraft was driven to the spa each time, police said, adding that the driver is not being charged.

“The video that we obtained, it shows the act that took place,” Sharp said. When asked specifically – does the video contain Kraft inside the spa receiving the alleged act, Sharp said, “The answer to that is yes.”

The incidents are part of a larger crackdown on human trafficking and prostitution at at least eight spas in the West Palm Beach area. Kraft faces two misdemeanor charges of soliciting another for prostitution. Police said they are in the process of issuing an arrest warrant in the case.

Once the warrant is issued, Kraft will get a summons in the mail ordering him to turn himself in. He is not expected to be arrested. Kraft’s lawyers will likely contact the county attorney and make arrangements for Kraft to come to court in Florida and turn himself in, according to WBZ-TV’s Cheryl Fiandaca.

Kraft could face up to a year in jail, probation or fines. he could also face discipline from the NFL under the league’s personal conduct policy.

“We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further,” a spokesperson for Kraft said in a statement to CNN Friday afternoon.

Was Tamla Horsford Murdered? (Video)

12353063897?profile=original

Video After The Jump

Tamla Horsford died Nov. 4, 2018 at age 40. Authorities said she was at an overnight party at the home. Jose Barrera, a witness, said he believed she fell off a balcony during an adult slumber party.

The party was held at Barrera’s girlfriend house. According to police reports, Barrera found Horsford lying face down in the backyard unresponsive. WSB obtained 911 calls made by Barrera after finding Horsford.

“She’s lying in the yard, basically on the patio downstairs. ...She’s not moving one bit. She's not breathing,” he told dispatchers.

"I’m noticing a small cut on her right wrist,” he said. “She’s not breathing whatsoever. I don’t know if this cut was self-inflicted.”

WSB obtained video showing Horsford in the home before her death.

The coroner’s death certificate listed Horsford’s death as an accident. The report said that a fall from a deck caused multiple blunt force injuries and “acute ethanol intoxication” was a contributing factor, but Michelle Graves told WSB she believes something else happened to her best friend. Horford’s family hired another medical examiner who found extensive injuries all over her body.

“It’s impossible to get the injuries that she had from one fall,” Graves said.

Forsyth County News reported Feb. 8 Barrera was fired from his job as a pre-trial services officer with the Forsyth County Court system Dec. 20, 2018. Days earlier, he was placed on leave by Court Administrator Robin S. Rooks.

According to a Dec. 17, 2018 letter from Rooks to Barrera, he was placed on leave during  an “investigation pertaining to you using your position to access confidential files on a current investigation surrounding a death in which you were a witness.”

In the termination letter, Rooks wrote, he lost confidence in Barrera’s ability to do his job.

A Feb. 1 Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office incident report appears to allege that Barrera may have used his position to gain access to information on Graves.

According to FCN, Graves said in the report that “she believes personal information about her home, work and cell phone numbers, home address, work address and driver’s license, along with information about her height, weight and extended family, had been found on several court documents.”

Barrera has denied those claims, FCN reported.

Thousands on social media have called for further investigation into Horsford’s death with hashtags #TamlaHorsford and #JusticeForTamlaHorsford.

“We’re glad we’re not the only ones who feel there’s something awry with the story and with how she lost her life,” Graves told WSB.

The attorney for the owner of the home where the death happened issued the following statement to WSB:

“At this time, our client, as well as each person who was present on November 4, 2018, has completely cooperated with law enforcement officers in attempting to give the family and friends answers with regards to the tragic death of Tamla Horsford. Every aspect of our client’s life has been investigated. She has provided answers to every question asked by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. Although the investigation has not been closed, to the best of our knowledge, Ms. Horsford’s death certificate has been issued by the Forsyth County Coroner.

“According to the Coroner, the official cause of death was determined to have been caused by an accidental fall from a residential deck. In addition, the Death Certificate also states that acute ethanol intoxication was a significant condition contributing to Mrs. Horsford’s death.

“At this time, each of the partygoers and their families have received death threats on various social media postings. The threats need to stop. This tragic accident is exactly that, an accident. It is unfortunate, sad, and unbelievably heartbreaking to her family and friends. However, certain very vocal friends and family members of Mrs. Horsford have been describing this accident as a
‘murder.’ Nothing could be farther from the truth.

“We are asking for the community and media to please respect the privacy and safety of our client and others who were at the party.”

Officials with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office say they recently got toxicology reports and expect to have answers soon.

“The Sheriff’s Office has conducted a comprehensive and exhaustive investigation into the death and has just recently received the results of the autopsy and toxicology reports from the GBI Medical Examiner’s office,” the department said in a Monday news release. “Death investigation cannot be closed until such time as the official results of the Forsyth County Coroner’s Office and the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office have been received and reviewed.

“We are conducting a thorough review of the evidence, interviews and forensic/medical findings and anticipate a final report on this investigation later this week pending any new evidence being discovered. At this time, this investigation still remains an active case.

“The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Horsford’s family and friends for this tragic loss.”

CHICAGO (AP) — “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett staged a racist, anti-gay attack on himself because he was unhappy about his salary and wanted to promote his career, Chicago’s police superintendent said Thursday.

Before the attack, Smollett also sent a letter that threatened him to the studio in Chicago where “Empire” is shot, Superintendent Eddie Johnson said.

Smollett, who is black and gay, turned himself in Thursday to face accusations that he filed a false police report last month when he told authorities he was attacked in downtown Chicago by two men who hurled racist and anti-gay slurs and looped a rope around his neck, police said. He was expected to appear in court later in the day.

The actor “took advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career,” Johnson told reporters at a news conference.

“This publicity stunt was a scar that Chicago didn’t earn and certainly didn’t deserve,” he added.

The FBI has been investigating the letter. Johnson would not say whether Smollett could face additional charges for that.

The companies that make “Empire,” Fox Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Television, issued a statement Thursday saying that they were “evaluating the situation” and “considering our options.”

In less than a month, Smollett went from being the seemingly sympathetic victim of a hate crime to being accused of fabricating the entire thing. The 36-year-old was charged Wednesday with felony disorderly conduct, a charge that could bring up to three years in prison and force the actor to pay for the cost of the investigation into his report of a Jan. 29 beating.

Police treated Smollett as a victim until two brothers they had taken into custody for questioning last week admitted to helping him stage the attack, Johnson said.

It was the brothers who also explained Smollett’s motive to detectives. Authorities have a check for $3,500 that Smollett paid the brothers, he said.

Smollett, who plays a gay character on the show that follows a black family as they navigate the ups and downs of the recording industry, said he was attacked as he was walking home from a downtown Subway sandwich shop. He said the masked men beat him, made derogatory comments and yelled “This is MAGA country” — an apparent reference to President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again” — before fleeing.

In describing what police believe actually happened, Johnson made it sound as if Smollett was casting and directing a short movie.

“He probably knew he needed somebody with bulk,” he said of Smollett’s decision to hire the two muscular brothers. Police have said at least one of the brothers worked on “Empire,” and Smollett’s attorneys said one of the men is the actor’s personal trainer.

When it came time to stage the attack, Johnson said, Smollett chose a spot that he believed would be captured by one of Chicago’s many security cameras. But “that particular camera wasn’t pointed in that direction,” Johnson said.

The brothers, who are not considered suspects, wore gloves during the staged attack and “punched him a little bit,” Johnson said. The scratches and bruising Smollett had on his face were “most likely self-inflicted,” Johnson said.

In a statement Wednesday, attorneys Todd Pugh and Victor Henderson said Smollett “enjoys the presumption of innocence, particularly when there has been an investigation like this one where information, both true and false, has been repeatedly leaked.”

Detectives found the two brothers after reviewing hundreds of hours of video. They released images of two people they said they wanted to question and last week picked up the pair at O’Hare Airport as they returned from Nigeria. Police questioned the men and searched their apartment.

The brothers, who were identified by their attorney as Abimbola “Abel” and Olabinjo “Ola” Osundairo, were held for nearly 48 hours on suspicion of assaulting Smollett.

The two appeared before a grand jury on Wednesday to “lock in their testimony,” according to police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. Smollett was charged by prosecutors, not the grand jury.

Speaking outside the courthouse where the grand jury met, the brothers’ attorney said the two men testified for about two and a half hours.

“There was a point where this story needed to be told, and they manned up and they said we’re going to correct this,” Gloria Schmidt said.

She said her clients did not care about a plea deal or immunity. “You don’t need immunity when you have the truth,” she said.

Smollett has been active in LBGTQ issues, and initial reports of the assault drew outrage and support for him on social media, including from Sen. Kamala Harris of California and TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Referring to a published account of the attack, Trump last month that “it doesn’t get worse, as far as I’m concerned.” On Thursday, he tweeted to Smollett: “What about MAGA and the tens of millions of people you insulted with your racist and dangerous comments!? #MAGA.”

Former Cook County prosecutor Andrew Weisberg said judges rarely throw defendants in prison for making false reports, opting instead to place them on probation, particularly if they have no prior criminal record.

Smollett has a record — one that concerns giving false information to police when he was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence. According to records, he was also charged with false impersonation and driving without a license. He later pleaded no contest to a reduced charge and took an alcohol education and treatment program.

Another prospective problem is the bill someone might receive after falsely reporting a crime that prompted a nearly monthlong investigation, including the collection and review of hundreds of hours of surveillance video.

The size of the tab is anyone’s guess, but given how much time the police have invested, the cost could be huge.

Weisberg recently represented a client who was charged with making a false report after surveillance video discredited her account of being robbed by three men at O’Hare Airport.

For an investigation that took a single day, his client had to split restitution of $8,400, Weisberg said. In Smollett’s case, “I can imagine that this would be easily into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

Video After The Jump

British Boxer Anthony Joshua pulled up to The Breakfast Club this morning for his first ever press run/interview in the United States in preparation for his FIRST ever real fight in the states against Jarrell Miller. Joshua began by giving a little backstory on why he got into the sport stating that he started boxing to better himself, surround himself with better people and also citing that he has been living an extremely healthy life now. While he wasn't thuggin in the UK he was just looking for opportunities in the wrong places. He got into Boxing when he was living with his cousin in London, saying at first he thought it was easier but it looks a lot easier sitting down than actually doing it.

Anthony Joshua is currently 23-0, but when asked about the 23 Million he is allegedly making per fight Joshua said he doesn't like to talk about money. At first it was tough for him because when he started out in the sport was when the global economy crisis was happening.

He also gave tips to those who are looking to one day be champions like him one day, his response was: "I feel like DNA, because you are who you are, cuz muscles and stuff, environment so I place myself in the gutter, took myself to championships all around the world, swam in the deep end and I came out on top most of the time, and I applied myself, I never tried to use boxing to be a macho man, and I was strategic with all my moves, calculated all the way, thats how everyone should move"
